Rainbow Dash and Applejack have been secretly seeing each other for a few months now. They saw no reason to tell everypony about it. It was just a casual arrangement between friends, after all. But things change. Feelings change.

Now, as Applejack returns from a week-long trip, all she and Rainbow want is a little time together. If only it were that simple. As oblivious friends and relatives, and even fate itself, conspire against them, they will learn the hard way that secrets and lies can have consequences. Awkwardness ensues.
