You have to practice and work hard....I have seen many ponies come and get lost in wind clouds....And even never seen of or heard of again....Well that's not the path I'm taking....I have my name for a reason...I had many things get in my path to victory and I never stopped trying to do what i did...I knew for sure that one day I would be a WonderBolt...and nothing...will stop me...I am the Dusk that will shake Equestria to its core..I am Lightning Dusk....future...WonderBolt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "KEEP IT UP LIGHTING DUSK!" I was Soaring through the clouds not knowing what was ahead of me, My wings flapped vigorously as my heart pounded. Sweat drew down my face as I breathed hard and i tore through the clouds. "This is it" I told my self as i flew up higher and higher, faster and faster ready for the act that will make my name known around PonyVille. I was going for a move that my great great uncle Sky Scraper had done The "Lightning Boom" I flew up and I blinked and flew down at a fast blur and i closed my eyes and a crackle sound rumbled in my ears...I had done it...I done it! The Lightning Boom! The ponies below me were watching in Awe as I waved at them and smiled and closed my eyes "Thank You...Thank you" WHAM! My face hit the side of Bon-Bon's bakery and I slide down the wall slowly. Ponies began to Murmur against themselves as they looked at me. I flew up slowly and shook my head. "I'm Fine!" A pony from the crowd spoke up "Oh Knock it off Lightning Dusk!" Another Pony spoke "That's the filth time you have called everypony over here to see you mess up this "Famous move of yours" they began to leave. "WAIT WAIT don't go i just had flying issues i swear!" I flew over the exiting crowd and a pony threw an apple at me "AYE PRACTICE WILL YA?" I landed on the ground and sighed and looked down. I looked up and i couldn't help my cheeks from turning red of blush and I smiled "Uhh yeah the next future WonderBolt!" She smiled warmly and snickered abit "The show was..uhh great.....except for the last part" I couldn't speak and My wings flapped and I tipped over onto my head with my flank in the air. Her eyes grew wide with shock "No wayyy I remember you now, We were in School together...I remember the day you got your cutiemark.....Snips and Snails dared to fling you off the wing and you actually flew." The day was coming back to me and I looked at my cutiemark on my flank...That flame colored lighting bolt with skid marks meant something to me when I was a colt. I quickly dropped down from my cloud as Ponies far and wide scrambled to even get a glimpse at the WonderBolts. I pushed my way through the crowd hoping to see the WonderBolts. "AHEM" Mayor Mare stepped up to a podium and looked around. I turned my head and looked at her as well and the screaming crowd stopped. "The WonderBolts have agreed to come to this years Need-4-Speed festival in a few days, I know i'm just excited as you are but we must get everything underway" I jumped up and down trying to see but i couldn't so i flew up instead and there they were. Their Blue and lightning studded jumpsuits shining in the sun as I spotted them and i began to flap my wings fast with glee. I knew them all SpitFire,Soarin'FleetFoot all of them there standing in awe. I smiled as Mayor Mare finished up her speech. "Come for the Need-4-speed festival to see The WonderBolts." she stepped down. The crowd started to break apart in excited talking of agreement. I knew what i had to do..I had to get my Lightning Boom down before the Need-4-Speed festival. Its my time to show what I know. I ran back into the field hoping to catch up with a pony who could really help me with my flying skills....I needed a Dash.. Meeting a new friend? I gulped "Well..This is it" I was staring up at Rainbow Dash's Mansion. I walked up the cloudy steps and I cleared my throat and i rang the doorbell. I scampered back and looked at the door. I blinked as i shook saliva from my mane and looked up at it again. "What are you doing here small fry" The Griffon asked and turned her head. "Im Lightning Dusk and I wanted to see-" She cut through what I was saying "Wanting to see Rainbow Dash...well let me tell you in on a secret, my old buddy Rainbow is in The ever-green forest" I moved back "But-But that forest is haunted no pony knows what could be lying in there. My hooves splashed in the mud on the ground in the Ever-Green forest and there was fog surrounding the trees and I flinched at every single sound i had heard. I had known this was a bad place to go. I hopped rock to rock over a raging river and i sighed and looked up and heard a distance howling in the distance.I trotted and sighed and stopped to take a breather when my ears twitched. I blinked and looked at Zecora "Im Lightning Dusk...." I stood up and looked at her. Zecora smiled and said "You seem lost are you in trouble? We will get you back home right on the double." I looked at her and thought to myself "Why does she talk like that." I shook my head and spoke "No..I was looking for a pony..have you seen Rainbow Dash?" Zecora shook her head "No I have not...but that on your head..Is that a Knot?" Zecora trotted over to me and started to look at my head. "I fell off of a cloud....A griffon got to me.." I got up and trotted off after her and I felt safe knowing she wasnt going to attack me. I started to see somehthing in the distance, it looked like a shack. But thats nothing what it was it was a hut! Things don't appear as they seem I woke up slowly inside Zecora's hut. I looked around and noticed there where selves stacked high with potions,mysterious powders, and roots and berries I have never seen or heard of. I stumbled to my hooves. Zecora turned to me and smiled "You are awake! I knew you would be up before daybreak." I nodded "I'm feeling a lot better, I do think the knot on my head is gone" I smiled. Zecora smiled "Now drink up quick this should make you feel good,It should fix you up quiet new." She set down a bowl. I looked down at it, the bowl was filled with purple-colored water. I sniffed it "What is this" Zecora looked up at a self with potions and spoke "It will make sure you feel better but not all the way there is still one place in you that is heavy each day." I sipped up the liquid it tasted sour but I drank it all anyway. I took a moment and took in what she said "What do you mean a part if me if heavy each day?" Zecora sighed "You will find out soon, but come on its it noon, I shall walk you back home on the double but try to stay out of trouble" she trotted out of her hut. I followed her and I felt stronger knowing Zecora was on my side. She was the wisest zebra I knew and...the only zebra I ever met. I trotted through the forest and I looked around at the misty trees and I started to move closer to Zecora abit. Zecora smiled "You seem scared about the forest trees they are nothing but twigs and leaves." I shook my head and tried to act tough and brave "I'm not scared...I'm a WonderBolt" Zecora laughed and said "Your charisma is great but that was a lie,lies bring you down keep being like that you will look like a clown." I snorted and walked through the forest with my head up. We soon reached a bridge they led from the forest and out to PonyVille. Zecora stopped and looked at me "This is where I stop, but let me tell you this...don't let anyone bring you down you are just as special as them and if they do...say this quote "I am Lightning Dusk.....future WonderBolt!" "Well who is is pipsqueak on our territory" The main leader, a mare with golden hair stepped forward. I looked at them and I trotted back a few steps. "Got a name?!" The same mare asked again. "L-Lightning Dusk..." I trembled and looked at them. "Awww little Lightning Dusk is scared...what ya gonna do go back to your mommy" The mare nodded her head at Zecora's path which lead to her hut. I felt my cheeks turn red hot with blush and I stood up. "No......" I soon remembered what Zecora tole me..."I'm Lightning Dusk....future....WonderBolt." The group of ponies looked at me with blank stares on there face and then burst into laughter. The main mare flicked her tail and looked down at me "You...a WonderBolt...your not really that type of material...but you are ShadowBolt material. I thought to myself ShadowBolts? .......was this another flying group? The mare walked up to me "Think about it....the WonderBolts are always getting credit for the main people...not the newbies.....why don't you join us...we will be the fastest team in Equestra!!" I looked at the mare there was something very familiar about that mare. "Do we have a deal?" ....I was about to speak when I heard a loud "NO!!" Fast as a lightning bolt a rainbow haired pony swooped down and grabbed me by my legs. I turned up to see who saved me, it was Rainbow Dash!! Rainbow's wings flapped as she flew and turned her head. "phew...lost em'" She set me down in a open field. I couldn't believe what I just seen "THAT WAS AWESOME YOU WERE SO FAST IT WAS AMAZING" Rainbow put her hoof over my mouth. "Whoa now relax kid, I was just trying help." She moved her hoof. I smiled and looked at her "Yeah throws weird ponies back there tried to get me to join there group." "Don't ever talk to the ShadowBolts they are evil ponies....I almost even got tricked by them..." I tried not to make her feel awkward so I changed the subject. "I came to look for you..but a Griffon who said she was your friend told me you weren't here." Rainbow hopped up "You let Gilda trick you....and we aren't friends...and I knew I heard a person ring my doorbell sorry kid I was stretching my wings for the Need-4-speed festival." I nodded and realized why I needed to see her "oh I have a question." Shyness swooped over me. Rainbow looked at me..."Yeah?" I took a deep breathe "Could you help me train for the Need-4-Speed festival? I'm trying to impress the WonderBolts" Rainbow smiled "Trying to impress a WonderBolt aye?
