What happens when a life-changing event occurs that shapes your whole life? What if that event occurs when life has barely begun? If a kid has dealt with more issues in six years than most can handle in a lifetime, how do you think they'd feel?

Crimson Star has spent more time in a hospital than he has living life. Starting from an early age, a necessary operation has shaped his whole life thus far. When he gets sick again, he's pretty sure he knows what he's in for.

Told from the perspective of my OC's son, this story is inspired by my own life experiences, and is dedicated to anyone who has spent an extended period of time immersed in the medical world, especially from childhood.

Rated Teen for slightly older themes, minor graphic descriptions, and occasional use of ponified profanity.
