I listened to the unnatural silence of the foreboding tunnel beneath the cursed castle to which I owed my current situation. My lungs burned as if set on fire with an unquenchable flame.My mouth was filled with the metalic taste of my own blood. My body trembled with both fear and adrenaline as I silently tread down the stone halls.The gash across my left wing dribbled with my life force. I saw and heard nothing but knew what lay ahead and regretfully what lay behind. I should have heard the echos of my ragged breathing and pattering sneakers on the hard cobblestone floor. These corridors had been full of echoes when I had first entered these wretched halls. Running for your life happens to make alot of noise.I know I should have heard the echos, but the silence was seemingly eating every sound I made. Just as the darkness seemed to eat at the power of my already dim flashlight. Not wasting any more time, I began my long walk back to the mouth of the tunnel. As I walked on, I tried to remember how I got here.

“Alright Pinks, you got your medicine? I don’t want your uh, whatever it’s called flaring up on me while we’re here,” I said, fixing my cyan tank top with ‘Fast’ printed on the front as we approached the ancient ruins of the castle we had recently discovered.
“Yeah I know. And it’s called Dissasociative Identity Disorder. I brought plenty of pills.” Pinkie hold up the bottle for me to see:
Perscription for: Pinkamena diane pie
Take 1 pill every five hours, increase doseage if needed.

“I just hope I won’t need them.”

“Pinkie? Are you okay?” I asked.
Pinkie’s back was to me. “No.. make it stop… I hear the voices…”
She’s mumbling to herself.
“Pinkie,” I take a step forward.
“Take your pills…”
She fumbled for her satchel and pulled out the bottle. Her hand shook, and the bottle dropped from her hand, spilling pills on the floor.
“R-run away Dashie…she-she’s coming.”
“But Pinkie-”
“Run, please da…da…haha…hahahahaha…Please!”
She began to giggle.

My memory drew a blank after that. I couldn’t remember much, other than after hearing the laughter I ran.
I stop dead in my tracks as a smell all too familiar to me passes my nose. The heavy scent of strawberry taffy, mixed with something else that ruffled the cyan feathers on my wings.
Blood.
The sickening iron scent filled the air like a poison.I turned around, already knowing what I would find, but against my better judgement, looked anyways.
There she was.
The dimmed yellow light of my flashilght caught her eyes.I was realy starting to regret my decision to turn around. In the dull light my eyes locked woth two frosty pools of red tinted cerulean hell. Her strawberry colored hair hung like a thick curtain a round her pale face, reaching just past her shoulders. A mind chilling crooked smile graced her face. For a second, her eyes seemed to ficker back to a jubilant sky blue, and her smile wavered. Just enough time for me to turn tail and speed off.
“Come on Dash, she may be fast, but you’re the best athlete there is,” I mumbled to myself.
“Dangit, this isn’t the time to boast,” I pushed my ego out of the way and ran on.I saw the light of the moon filling the entrance and put on a boost of speed. My legs were on fire, screaming at me to stop.
“No way, Dash never slows down.” I thought to myself.I wasn’t sure, but I think I surpassed my best running speed. The smell of pine trees and haycynth quickly replaces the sickly sweet smell of taffy and blood that had plagued my nose before. I streaked through the entrance in a rainbow blur, feeling myself bathed in crisp cool air and silver moonlight for a full minute before I hit the forest. I feel the hair band holding my rainbow ponytail slip free, and a cool wind breezes through my scalp.There was supposed to be a town nearby and I didn’t plan on stopping untill I got there.
The small town of Watercress came into veiw as I reached the forest edge.My adrenaline induced run had left even an athlete like me, utterly drained.I stopped at the nearest Diner. As I walked in, I wasn’t surprised to find that I was the only one inside due to the late hour. I sat down on the circular barstool and lay down my head on the cold stone countertop. Katy Perry was singing California Girls on the raidio on the corner. I sat up and took a moment to gather my thoughts. The pinkie I knew was gone. For some reason I have a memory gap in my reasoning as to why she snapped if she had her pills- wait. They spilled all over the floor in her panic. Something triggered her alternate personality. But this one was one I had never experienced. Her eyes, I couldn’t place it. They had some kind of red tint or gradient to them. I looked down at myself to take in the damage. My cyan tank top was dusty and stained with blood where my wing had been cut. I flexed the apendage and winced in pain. “Must have cut a tendon or something,” I think to my self. My matching blue athletic shorts were dirtyy and ripped a bit at the ends. My favorite rainbow colored knee socks were dusty but intact. I patted the dust out of my rainbow colored hair. All the colors of the rainbow, because I love every color. People might get the wrong impression of my choice of hair and attire, but it’s not what they might think. I just like it.. smiling at the thought, and what my hair must look like now, I didn’t notice the waitress come up to the counter, but I was aware of the scent of strawberry taffy. On instinct, my wings ruffled, ready for flight, though one was injured and made me wince. I looked up, right into two red tinted cerulean eyes, a frozen hell behind two twin mirrors.
“Hello there, my name is Pinkamena Diane Pie, but YOU can call me Pinkie!”
“There was no way she could have beaten my here.”I think to myself, ready to get up and run again, but those frosty pools of death froze me to my spot. My breathing had become labored, as if her very gaze was suffocating me. My heart filled itself to the brim with terror,my good wing ruffled and trembling. She giggled that terrible broken laughter, making the room seem to drop in tempurature. She leaned in close, and I could smell the horribly sweet scent of candy on her breath. I stared into those eyes, trying to search out the pinkie I knew. She was gone. Lost in that broken mind. “Today’s special is a personal favorite of mine,” she breathed, her voice low and smooth.
I was cold now, shivering,and staring ito those twin pools of cerulean blue. My own magenta reflected in them, scared and confused.
Then I felt my mind freeze as I heard her last words before a pan came up from behind her, knocking me out cold.
“Rainbow Cupcakes!”
