Her eyes were tracing the form very carefully until she came to a conclusion. This creature has to be a diamond dog. She was familiar with them, but never had one come through her window. "What's a diamond dog wanting to do in my room anyway?" She asked to herself before raising her voice. "Spike! Could you fetch Applejack and Rainbow for me?" "On it!" The dragon quickly left the library to go hunt down the two requested ponies. The supposed diamond dog started to shift on the floor. It raised a hand and placed it on the back of its head, raising its torso from the ground. Twilight reached a hand out to grab hold of a book, readying it for an anticipated attack from this diamond dog. "Uhg..." It groaned loudly as it sat itself up. "Eek! Diamond dog!" Twilight screched as she launched the book at the form. The form turned to look at the source of the female voice. "Diamond wha-" Smack! The dog was interrupted by a book smacking it across the face. Causing him to hold his face. "Fu-!" Crack! Another interruption, this time it was brought by a hefty statuette. The mere force from the statuette flung the head forward a bit in recoil. The dog started to stand up as Twilight used her magic to grab hold of a larger statue. Once it was standing at full length, the heavier statue was launched. The dog turned just in time to catch it with both his hands, glaring into it. "That's a sure fire way to piss me the fuck off." Twilight identified the tone as male as it growled. He dropped the statue to the floor with a loud thunk. His face quickly turned from one of anger to embarrassment. He was gazing upon a Twilight that had just gotten out of the shower, thankfully, she had a towel wrapped around her slender form. The dog quickly turned himself a 180 degree angle with a blazing red in his cheeks that matched his eyes. "Uhm... sorry about the intrusion, miss." He apologised with his back turned. Before the dog's senses came to recognize the aura that had just grabbed him. He was immediately spun around and slammed against the wall. A loud yelp was heard from him, to Twilight, a sure sign that he might be weakened. she stepped in closer as the dog gave her a look, blushed, then looked away. "Why are you here? Gems? Revenge? Dirt?" Twilight was producing questions faster than he could think, or so she thought, The dog took a moment to think of answers. "I had a mishap with landing, What? No. Tempting but no." He tried to look at her again only to pry his eyes away. "You better not be lying to me." Twilight leaned in even closer with her glare. "Goodness no!" The dog chuckled, trying to look innocent. "Then why can't you make eye contact with me? Hmm?" Twilight was determined to prove that the dog was lying. "Because, I'm trying not to stare at you even thought you are wrapped in a towel from what I would assume to be a shower or bath." Was the dog's reply Twilight's cheeks grew a pink hue as she looked down and back up to the dog. In a second reaction, she flung the dog across her room and slammed him against the opposite wall. A grunt was released from the dog's snout. His eyes jerked open and the red in his cheeks grew brighter and his eyes darted away from Twilight's now exposed backside. "Cou-could you bit a bit more gentle with this whole magic flinging? Please." The dog's eyes were a fixated on her mane that covered part of her back. "And why should I?" Twilight almost sneered. "Just because I dropped in doesn't make me bad, I still feel pain damn it!" The dog retorted back. An audible smack was heard as the dog's face was now buried into the wall as Twilight got dressed. Relief fell over her as the knowledge of no longer being as she questioned the intruder at large. The dog was swiftly pulled away from the wall and hovered on his back, the only things he could look at were the ceiling and Twilight's slightly flushed face that also glared. "Then it would be in your best interest that you tell me why you're here." Twilight was still glaring down at the dog. "Wanna see a magic trick instead?" He asked with a slight sarcasm in his voice. "A diamond dog using magic? Impossible." Twilight smirked back "Well... are you sure your magic can hold me?" He asked, looking into her purple eyes. "I can hold you like this all day if I wanted to." She responded back with confidence. "How about I give you 10 seconds?" She heard the dog asked. Twilight could have sworn she saw his eyes change color for a second or two. Several seconds after what she witnessed, Twilight felt woozy, not enough to make her nauseous, but enough to make her balance go a wee bit off. Her magic failed as she took a few steps back. The dog hit the the rug in the middle of the room. He quickly scrambled to his feet and held his paws out in front of Twilight. "Just have a seat, I'll go get you some tea." With those words, and not thinking properly, Twilight nodded and landed ass first onto her floor with a thud. That dog got a bit of an eyeful of her pink folds that were her marehood with her legs being slightly spread. He cautiosly scooted over and used a floor, just one, to close her legs properly. Twilight was out cold in 60 seconds. "Great..." the dog groaned as he left her room, "... she's forgot to put some underwear on." Tea Party with The Sword Twilight woke up with a throbbing head, groaning out in pain. Her head slowly turned to the left to observe a small saucer with a cup of hot liquid. Her ears picked up some noise off to her right to see the dog from earlier sitting cross-legged with a small smile across his face. "Hi there, took you long enough to wake." He said, didn't seem like he moved in ages. Twilight let out a high pitched shriek and backed away from him. The dog shut his eyes and grimaced until she quieted down. Once she was finally quiet, his eyes opened again to see a scrunched up ball of lavender, clothes, straightened navy mane, and wide purple eyes staring at him. "What are you and how'd you do that?" She immediately asked him, not wanting to move closer. "I'm no diamond dog." He responded plain as day. "Well duh! I see that now!" Twilight yelled from across her room. "Just take a breather, sip some tea and we can talk about this all civil like." The dog had motioned his hands as if he were flattening a bedspread as he spoke. Twilight simply nodded and took the cup in her magic. "...and that's how I got here." The dog finished explaining how he had arrived in Twilight's library earlier this afternoon It had been some hours, a good convincing of Applejack and Rainbow Dash, and a little story of the dog. Applejack did insist that Rainbow and herself atleast checked Twilight's loft. The dog, consequently, hid under the bed and bent the light around him somehow to fool the cyan one that nothing was actually there. "I still can't get over that you turned yourself invisible!" Twilight exclaimed cheerfully, as if she ignored the arrival story. "I'm not from this realm, but that doesn't mean I can't use my own magic to protect myself. Anyway, I never got your name, what is it? If you don't mind me asking." The dog looked inquiringly at Twilight, a cup of tea in hand. "What's yours? I don't want to be referring to you as 'Dog' the whole time you're here." Twilight loked a bit more calm from earlier. "You should teach me that invisibility trick sometime also." "My real name isn't important as of yet. So you can call me Sword until I figure a new title out to fir in around here." The dog's face morphed into a serious look. "Well,'Sword,' I'm Twilight Sparkle, I guess it's nice to meet you." She gave her name to him without the slightest negative thought. "I have a slight question." Sword stated as he took a sip of tea. "Hm?" Was all that heard from Twilight behind her cup. "What's with the dragon? He seems a bit protective." Sword was now looking off "You must have met Spike! I can see why he would be, I practically hatched him a while ago." Twilight explained to her guest. "You hatched him?" Sword looked at the unicorn with confusion. "I did, but I'm wondering what happened between you two earlier." Twilight sat back in her seat and crossed her legs. "Well...." Sword started as he went through his memories to find the encounter. Few Hours Earlier: Spike had just gotten back from tracking down Rainbow Dash, he was ready to relax until a noise from the kitchen caught his attention. At first thought, it must be Twilight making herself lunch. that was his initial idea until he actually reached the door of the kitchen. He couldn't believe his eyes along with a slight anger. "Who in Tartarus are you?!" Spike nearly yelled at the top of his lungs at the dog. "Shush! Don't you know that there's someone asleep upstairs?" The dog was calm, too calm. Spike looked towards the stairs, then back to the dog. "What'd you do to her?" "I may have had to protect myself from her, she'll be fine in a couple hours and after a nice cup of tea." The dog explained. "What did you do?!" Spike stomped a foot on the floor, a squeak emerged from his sneaker. "I knocked her out. Had to before she caused anymore unnecessary damage to my body." The dog explained more. Spike didn't feel like his question was answered fully. "With what exactly?" "Magic." The dog turned to take the teapot off the stove. "Now, if you don't mind, this tea should be getting to someone." Spike didn't move from the door. "How do I know you didn't poison it?" "You wanna taste test it drake?" The dog shook the teapot just a bit, shifting the liquid inside. "The name's Spike, and yes, I would like to taste that 'tea'" Spike put some emphasis on tea. The dog simply complied with Spike and got another small cup. Spike was trying to glare daggers at the dog behind his back. He wanted to take the creature to the ground, but his current size said otherwise. The dog turned to Spike with the cup and knelt to hand it to him. Spike was hesitant in taking the cup from the dog. Spike took a sip, the anger was suddenly overtaken with the taste of the tea he just drank. "Hey..." another sip he took, ".. this actually isn't bad. Possibly better than how I make it." The dog only let out a smile and stood. "I try not to pride myself as a cook too often, but if you excuse me, your friend upstairs could use some of this." Spike nodded, stepping out of the dog's way, and taking another drink. He didn't trust that dog fully, but that could change if the dog could prove that he wasn't really trying to harm anypony. Present Hour: "That certainly sounds like Spike, though, if I were actually Rarity, things would've turned out differently." Twilight chuckled lightly. "Rarity? Who might that be?" Sword asked, looking away from the cup he was holding. "Another friend of mine that Spike just so apparently has a crush on." Twilight explained, Sword smile a little. "Ah, young love." Sword leaned back into his seat. "I remember when I had one." "And how old are you exactly?" Twilight inquired immediately after his comment. "Probably just as old as you are, Twilight." Sword responded, a slight smile still present upon his features. "That's impossible, you must be older than you say." Twilight was leaning forward, on the edge of her seat. "Nope, no lies, I'm not older than anyone here. Well, maybe except for Spike." Sword relaxed himself even further. "That's because Spike is younger than me." Twilight added. "I can tell by his voice." Sword's smile disappeared and an eye brow raised. "Is there something wrong?" Twilight asked, noticing the creature's face. "Just a memory is all." Sword simply responded, snapping out of his daze. "What kind of memory?" Twilight asked, a yawn following her question. "Sounds like someone should be getting their sleep, like a certain dragon." Sword raised his voice at the end, glancing over to the doorway. Twilight let out a small laugh as Spike was heard scrambling up the stairs to feign his slumber. Twilight got up, placed her cup on a desk across the room muttering something. Passing by Sword, she felt something grab her arm, with some inspection, she found it to be that of Sword's hand to have grabbed her arm. "Do you, by chance, have any history books I could read? I'd love to get to know the history of this place." Sword asked with a smile. Twilight didn't say anything, but smiled back at him as her horn lit up in a magenta hue. Books flew off the shelves and landed like feathers on Sword's lap. There were atleast several different books, or volumes, as he put it. He wouldn't know for sure unless he cracked open one. Sword took the the cover of the first book and opened it. An Extensive History on Equestria: Volume 1. Yup, these books were put into volumes, Sword was going to be up all night. The morning was peaceful, almost. Both Twilight and Spike woke up to what sounded like a roar in the next room over. Both of them jumped out of their beds, but Spike was the first on scene. Twilight skidded to a halt behind him. What they found, though, was Sword sleeping. He was outstretched on his stomach, with arms at his sides. He let out a snort and twitched a little before shifting his head to face the two friends. Twilight noticed that the books he had asked for were all open, which raised a question in her mind. "Was he trying to read all those at the same time?" Twilight whispered to Spike. "How should I know? It's not like I kept an eye on him last night." Spike responded back with the same volume as Twilight. Another snore emerged from Sword as he slept. "That's one heck of a snore for a diamond dog." Spike whispered. "He isn't a diamond dog, Spike." Twilight corrected the dragon. Spike turned to face Twilight, with a confused look on his face. "Then what is he?" "Even I don't know, Spike, but how about some breakfast?" She asked, not even realising she accidentally raised her voice above a whisper. "That would be lovely." Came a ragged tone, causing the two to look at Sword. "Want me to cook?" The two just stared at Sword before somepony broke the silence. "If you don't mind, I'm pretty sure Spike could use a break from the kitchen for once." Came Twilight's voice. Breakfast and Questions Sword was the first downstairs, with a late following of Twilight and Spike. The trio were now sitting at a table eating away at eggs, toast, and waffles. It had taken sword atleast 30 minutes to get everything done due to the fact that Sword's 'imaginary monster' had tried to wrestle his ass to the ground multiple times. Sword managed to barely get the toast before shooing the thing away. "So.." Twilight started as she slowly ate, "...how is it that a creature such as yourself is capable of magic in the first place?" "Now that is a secret I'm willing to keep." Sword responded before taking another bite. "What are you anyway?" Spike blurted out, some eggs flying out of his full mouth. "Spike!" Twilight glared at the dragon. "It's ok, Twilight." Sword raised his hand lazily before placing it back on the table. "I am a wolf. if you must know." "Like a Timber Wolf?" Spike asked again. "I'm not made of twigs, sticks, and logs." Sword replied again, taking another bite. "Where did you come from?" Twilight asked. Sword's eyes shifted from his plate to Twilight. She could sense a slight disturbance as he stood up after dropping his fork on the table. The chair he occupied fell backwards as he headed for the stairs. Spike looked at Twilight, then Sword, and back to Twilight. Twilight didn't notice that Spike was shifting gazes between the two. "I'm going to look for my sword." Sword stated before ascending out of their sight. "He has a sword?" Spike and Twilight asked in unison, looking at eachother. "All right, Edge, just where the hell did you hide yourself?" Sword muttered to himself. Sword was back in Twilight's room, standing in the center of the room with his eyes closed as he tried to concentrate. He shared some sort of telepathic connection with Edge. Sword could never explain just how exactly a sword could speak it a wielder's conscious. Then again, the sword he came to know as Insanity Edge, wasn't made in a mortal plane. "Sire." Edge's voice rang out in his head. "It appears that I have gotten lodged into a wall." "In the wall or in the space between here and there?" Sword asked, looking around the room. "It appears to be both, Sire." Edge replied. Sword may have been speaking to himself, but he also failed to noticed the owner of the room standing in the doorway. To her, it looked like Sword really was speaking to himself, when he was in fact talking to Edge. "Are you all right?" Twilight spoke up finally. Sword jumped a bit looking at Twilight. "Yeah.." He said cautiously, "... why?" "Well, you are standing in MY bedroom." Sword raised a brow. "And you are talking to yourself." "Yeah... hold on..." Sword walked over to a wall on the far end of the room and raised his hand. Twilight was watching to see just what exactly he was up to. After several minutes of standing, Sword placed his hand on the wall, then pulled beck and shoved his hand straight into the wall. Twilight gasped, thinking he just broke his hand against her wall, but he was elbow-length into it instead. Twilight was starting to wonder about the capabilities of this creature. "Ah, there we are. Edge, you gotta stop hiding yourself when there's no real danger around." Sword muttered to himself as he pulled his blade from the wall. "How in Tartarus did you even do that?" Twilight asked after watching Sword pull the blade from her wall. "Magic, it's all in the illusion." Sword quickly chuckled to himself. "That female, she seems fitting." Edge spoke within his mind. Sword's face quickly changed expressions. "Edge.... what are you thinking?" "She might just be a viable mate for you, since you complain about being around me all the time." Edge responded. Sword was surprised, but couldn't help keeping quiet. "EDGE!" "Who's Edge?" Twilight asked, tilting her head. Sword sighed and wiggled the sheathed blade. "This is Edge." "You named your sword... Edge?" Twilight was even more perplexed. "Well, no. Her real name is-" "It's a SHE?" "Will you let me finish?!" Sword growled as he glared across the room, causing Twilight to step back. Sword's gaze softened at the scared mare. "Her real name is Insanity Edge, I just call her 'Edge' for short. But I never found her, she found me." Sword seemed to have zoned out as he remembered that fateful day. "Yet, she talks to you? How does a sword even find someone, let alone, I barely know what it is." Twilight snapped Sword form his daze. "How she found me is a tale I'm not willing to share so easily. I need Edge to fit in around here anyway before I actually leave this library." Sword explained. "You seriously expect to change your body completely? There's a high chance you might not even remember who you are!" Twilight tried to reason. "I've taken many chances, I'll take many more." Sword said with the calmest of tones. "I'm just going to need a few things..." "Like what?" Twilight asked, thinking this has to be some sort of joke. "Edge is telling me that I need something called a zap apple, a book.... on flying, and apparently your hand." "You're not cutting off my hand, zap apples don't come in for another three days, and I'll have to get Spike to find this 'book on flying'." "I never said I was going to cut off your hand, nor do I have to. Three days is enough time to prepare myself for the transformation." "Then what do you need my hand for?" Twilight barked "I guess we'll both find out." Sword replied with a small smile. A few moments of silence went by until Sword had a look of annoyance on his face. "Edge, if you don't shut up about it, I WILL throw you back in the very void you put yourself in!" Sowrd's voice echoed through the halls. Somehow, Twilight had a feeling this wasn't going to end well. Three Days with Three Pains. The three days passed by agonizingly slow for Sword. Sure, he would help Twilight with things Spike couldn't or wasn't there for, but that didn't stop him from regret. He only regret that he HAD to be cooped up in Twilight's library for so long, he knew the consequences of going out in public as much as she did. He took a day to read every book in the library.... twice. A feat even Twilight barely could accomplish. But that day, that final day. Sword was practically bounding off the walls, knowing him, could be literally. He had all he needed for today, yet, he still made a checklist out of spite of his own sanity, or what was left of it. He was looking over it when Twilight came in from Applejack's, of course, it has been a few hours since she left, mainly due to the fact Applejack was chewing her ears off with talk about how dangerous it is to eat a zap apple raw and what not. "Edge? Check. Book? Check" Sword's voice rang out from upstairs. Twilight had gotten an idea, a mean idea. Over the course of the three days, she had gotten used to having Sword around and gotten more comfortable with him. As for Sword, he felt the same around Twilight, but still wouldn't let his shell crack. But Twilight continued to sneak up the stairs without making a sound. She peered through the doorway to peek at Sword. "Good." She thought. "He has his back turned." Sword's ear twitched, but didn't seem to move from his spot nor did he bother to look in any other direction. Twilight proceeded to tip-toe into the room, inching closer and closer to Sword. As soon as he was in arm's length, Twilight jumped forward. "Twilight Sparkle with one zap apple would be a check." She giggled after wrapping her arms around his shoulders, one hand bearing the zap apple in front of his face. "It would appear so." He smiled as he removed the rainbow colored apple from Twilight's hands. "I guess we're... well, you're..... ready then?" Twilight asked, cocking her head off to the side a bit. "Yes, we are." Sword simply replied with out an emotion, crumpling up the list and throwing it in a bin. "OH, before you ask and I assume you shall. I was late because of Applejack's concern with biting into a zap apple raw." Twilight tried to explain. "I wasn't going to ask and I've been through worse." Sword started to take off his shoes. "And what are you doing?" Twilight asked as Sword continued to remove his shirt. "Getting ready for what's about to happen." Sword simply replied, dropping his pants. Twilight's face turned red as she looked away from Sword's now exposed member. It wasn't at full erection, thank Celestia, but rather embarrassing for the mare to be having a now naked Sword in her room. "Why'd you just strip right in front of me?!" She asked at the top of her lungs. "I don't know if my new form will rip my clothes asunder or not!" Sword retorted back. "But you didn't even bother to wear anything under your shorts!" Before Twilight could turn completely around, Sword grabbed her shoulders and made Twilight face him. "Look me in the eyes." Sword said sternly, Twilight's cheeks still flushed with red. Twilight was looking at his eyes, until her gaze shifted to his half-awake cock. "Don't look at my dick, look at my eyes!" Sword was commanding now. Twilight kept her gaze on his eyes this time. "Good. Now give me your hand." Sword reached for one of her hands, which she gave lightly. Sword put his foot behind him, stepping on Edge. He raised his free hand and took a sizable bite from the zap apple at tow. Those red eyes never left her purple eyes for even a nano-second. He offered up the other half that he didn't bite to Twilight, but she thought he was testing her and denied the offer. "It tingles at first, but the taste is something else." Sword said cheerfully, his body getting encased in a sort of light that hid most of his features. Twilight could still see his eyes, Sword stared back. But as Sword stared, he saw something in her eyes, something he couldn't quite explain. A sort of.. spark.. That's what he saw, a spark, but what for? His train of thought was soon interrupted by a searing pain as he let go of Twilight's hand and grew brighter. Sword was starting to yell as he body shifted under the bright light. Twilight couldn't adjust to the intensity and looked away from Sword, then, it all stopped. The yells, the light, there was absolute silence in Twilight's room now. "Sword?" she asked, looking over towards where he was. There was a stallion there now, not a wolf, but a stallion. "HOT DAMN! That's always a painful thing to go through!" Sword's eyes flung open as he looked over his new body. "Well, Edge, I think you might have outdone yourself this time." Twilight just stared on as she watched Sword unfurl a pair of wings. "Suh-weet! I even got wings!" Sword cheered as he took a step forward, but fell flat on his face. Twilight couldn't help but giggle a bit at Sword tripping on himself. His mane went into his face after impact, his legs almost reaching his lower back. Being used to paws doesn't exactly make him equip for the new hooves he had. Sword pushed himself from the ground and got up in a wobble. "How can you EVEN walk on these things?" Sword took a look at Twilight "It's comes natural to ponies, haven't you figured that out?" Twilight responded, looking away in a blush. "Could you atleast hand me my shorts?" Sword asked putting his hand out. "Shouldn't those be washed?" Twilight asked, attending to his request using her magic. "Just be glad I'm not willing to walk around your house naked. Besides, I'll worry about new clothes once I figure out how to make some money." Sword responded, then a lightbulb went on in his head. "You could always work the weather team here in Ponyville." Twilight suggested. "OR I could use my magic as street magician!" Sword's idea seemed a bit off. "A pegasus performing magic? Seems rather unlikely." Twilight said raising a brow. "Exactly, which means they'll pass it off as an elaborate illusion!" Sword's idea still didn't make any sense. "And just what do you plan on performing as simple 'illusions?'" Twilight asked, her arms crossed. "Good ol' appearing objects! You hungry at all?" Sword was quick on changing the subject. "Well, I guess it is getting towards lunch anyway. What do you have in mind?" Twilight asked, going over to her vanity. "Somewhere out, like a restaurant or a cafe' of some sort, something that serves food at the most." Sword slowly lifted himself off the ground using his wings. "And I still remember how to fly, perfect!" "You must really love to fly to get hyped over a pair of wings." Twilight shook her head with a small smile. "You have no idea." Sword retorted back in a playful manner. Twilight was making her way down the street with Sword gliding next to her. He kept himself low to ground for any other reason besides the fact hooves needed a little getting used to. And he didn't want to feel like a newborn trying to walk, nor get laughed at for that matter. His thoughts were soon caught by a large building with a gigantic cupcake at the top. "Hey Twilight," Sword nudged the unicorn. "what's that over there?" "Oh, that's the town bakery, Sugar Cube Corner." Twilight replied before being stopped by Sword on her arm. "Do they serve raspberry cheesecake cookies?" Sword asked in a hushed tone. "I don't think they do." Sword deflated at the initial response. "But I'm sure you can special order some." "Yes!" Sword was about to fly away but quickly turned back to face Twilight. "Have have you not heard of the best cookies in the known universe?" Twilight just shrugged before trying to shoo him away. "Are you going to order yourself some cookies or not?" "If I order some, will you try one?" Sword landed, his wings kept out for balance, and a serious look plastered to his face. "Yeah, whatever, just go get your cookies." Twilight reached into a coin pouch and pulled out what looked to Sword were arcade tokens. "And those are..?" Sword pointed towards the coins in her hand. "Bits, it's our currency. I'm lending you some for your cookies." Twilight said with a smile before taking one of Sword's hands and putting the bits in his palm. Sword smiled and nodded towards Twilight in a silent thank you before running a few feet then landing on his face, again. Twilight just watched his struggle a bit, trying to figure out what appeased her so much about him. Was it the energy? Maybe it was his lack of knowledge about their world, or was it his always friendly attitude? Seems like a pony she knew, only... Upon entering the bakery, Sword was greeted by a mare who's mane literally looked like it was made out of cupcake frosting. Rather unique and impressive that she can keep her hair like that. What she wore seemed to match her job perfectly, except the only white apparel was her apron. "Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner! What can I get you?" She asked as Sword slowly approached the counter. "May I get a half-dozen cheesecake raspberry cookies?" Sword asked, unsure. "Sure thing dearie! Just who do I make it out to?" She asked, writing the order down on a notepad. "Erm... Infinity Plane." Sword replied, mentally facepalming himself. "Are you serious?! That's the best you came up with!" They both heard a loud gasp come from the stair behind the counter along with step heading back up the stairs. "That's just Pinkie Pie for ya." The quickly broke the silence turning to smile at Infinity. "You order should be ready in approximately thirty minutes!" As if Sword didn't have a hard enough time as it was walking with hooves, tables were needed coming in, still needed going out. Well, atleast Twilight moved closer to bakery. Sword smile as soon as he saw, relieved he didn't have to walk a large distance of tripping over himself and getting his face smashed into the dirt. "Time for some lunch." Sword said as he started to hover once again with his wings. "How long until the cookies are done?" Twilight asked, following Sword. "Approximately thirty minutes or so." Sword replied, letting Twilight take the lead. "But I messed up and implied my real name to my alias." "How did you manage that?" Twilight asked, curious as to what he means. "My real name is Infinity. And I wold the mare-" "Was she pink?" Twilight cut Infinity off. "Her mane was a bright pink, reminded me of cupcakes. Anyway, I told her my name was Infinity Plane." Sword continued "Mrs. Cake was working the counter? Usually it's Pinkie." "We only heard her gasp and she ran up the stairs." Infinity stated. "Might want to watch you back then." Twilight looked ahead with a bit of a smile. "Why?" "She has a habit of popping up out of nowhere." "Noted..." Infinity groaned. Infinity was familiar with teleportation and other sorts of nonsense. But a regular being actually popping up out of nowhere was possible but highly unlikely. As Infinity learned in the past, well, his past, was to expect the unexpected. It didn't take Twilight long to find an affordable place to eat that afternoon, and upside to Infinity. After the meal, Infinity decided to see just how long was left on the order of cookies. Infinity was getting a bit eager to actually get to eat one of his favorite treats again. His mouth salivated at the sweet aroma of deserts as he approached the bakery. His train of thought would've been in tact if he wasn't suddenly drug into an alley way and his face buried into the side of the bakery. "Are you here for me?" The voice was feminine, high in pitch but feminine. "What?" Infinity asked. "Don't play dumb with me pal!" She slammed his face harder against the building. "Are you here for me? Answer!" It was a hushed tone, this pony was obviously not looking to attract attention. "If you're looking for a fight, it's best not to start with me." Infinity calmly stated. "Plus, I don't even know who you are, so, why would I be after you?" "Welllll..." The voice suddenly cheered up, " In that case, I guess everything's fine and dandy!" Infinity was released from the hold, but when he turned around, he saw noone. Nothing! Zip! Nadda! A head scratcher for sure. Infinity shrugged it off, knowing that he wouldn't explain, and headed back around to the front of Sugar Cube Corner. Of course, it didn't take long to get them from Mrs. Cake, a nice mare for sure, whom he thanked with equal kindness. "So..." Twilight started, "what do we do now?" "You.." Infinity started his reply, ".. get to sit back and relax while I go through threes days of three pains." "Three days with three pains?" Twilight asked. "Yeah" Infinity popped a cookie into his mouth, chew, then swallowed. "My form is currently unstable with magic, which in turn, flips my luck from neutral to terrible while it recuperates. Thus allowing three major pains to happen at least once a day. Last time I went through that, I got hit by a bus on the last day. I still wonder how I even survived." "A... bus?" Twilight tilted her head, silently eyeing the cookies also. "It's like a carriage here, only that it carries more passengers and runs by itself." Infinity answered, handing her a cookie with him having to look at Twilight. "Will you be fine?" Twilight took a bite of the cookie. A mix of flavors exploded in Twilight's mouth. Releasing a pleasure her taste bud never even knew about. These, quite possibly, were the best damn cookies she'd ever tried. aside from the fact Pinkie's cupcakes almost compared. She had zoned out for a bit, not even realising that Infinity was speaking ".... I always turn out fine." He said. "That's... good..." Twilight shook her head. Day 1 The morning was like any other morning for Infinity. He woke up comfortably in one of Twilight's living chairs, the birds were just beginning to chirp, the sun rising over the horizon. It seemed just perfect, but he also didn't let that fool him, he knew today was the first day of the three. Infinity had decided that it would be best to make some waffles, if he could figure out of Twilight Sparkle up stairs had a damn waffle iron in the first place. It didn't take all but several minutes to find what he needed to make pancakes. Infinity couldn't find a waffle iron, so he made do with pancake batter and a skillet. Of course, it didn't take long for a sweet aroma to fill the downstairs of the library. He loved to sniff at his own cooking as he stood at the stove. "Nothing like pancakes in the morning." Infinity barely spoke above a whisper as he flipped the pancake. Then an idea hit him, a bigger breakfast wouldn't anybody. Seconds turned into minutes as smells filled Twilight's library, and soon the loft she slept cozily in. Her nostrils breathed in these smells, and soaked them in. She was coaxed out of her slumber, not only salivating what might be awaiting downstairs, but a bit wet between the legs. Twilight Sparkle had decided it was probably best to wake up and start the day with a full stomach. instead of an empty on, mainly because hers rumbled as soon as she sat up. Twilight descended the stairs slowly, too early for a morning person, and found Infinity with his mouth open at a set table, running his tongue over his teeth. "Is something wrong with them?" Twilight asked, to which Infinity stopped and looked at her. "Not at all, just never ceases to amaze me that Edge can have me change forms to blend in. Breakfast?" Infinity gestured towards the set table. Twilight examined the table and noticed not only pancakes, but eggs, oatmeal, orange juice, coffee, and half grapefruits on the table. She was astonished, breathless to say the least, at the feast she had laid eyes on for the morning. Spike soon emerged from the recently turned into guest bedroom. Rubbing his eyes, Spike sniffed at the air. "Who was cooking?" Spike asked groggily. "Yours truly." Infinity stated with some confidence. "Isn't that supposed to be my job?" Spike asked as he approached the table and took up a chair. "Depends on if Ms. Sparkle here has something to protest about it." Infinity gazed over towards Twilight, he saw that spark again. "Oh no... it's fine that you cook for us..." Twilight tried not to blush at Infinity calling her miss. "And before you ask any further questions about where I'm from, currently, the space between spaces." Infinity had his on Twilight as she sat down. Twilight just gave an eye roll and began eating. Later on that morning, Edge managed to get Infinity his toothbrush, Infinity couldn't even comprehend how considering Edge still had to save up her power for a trip back home. It takes a lot for her to open a door back home, especially if it's an old one that hasn't been opened since she was made, hell, that door was older than Edge. Anyway, Infinity has a habit of moving around while brushing his teeth to pass the time. This one was hard to grow out since he's been doing it since being brought to his space between spaces home. Infinity also has a habit of losing focus while while doing something also. Infinity was getting done with brushing his flat-topped mouth and so out of it that he failed to notice that the shower was on. Let alone, that a certain lavender unicorn was currently occupying said running shower. That was, until the shower was shut off and the curtain slid open followed by a yelp. "Infinity!" Twilight cried out, catching his attention Infinity stopped what he was doing and slowly turned his upper body to look at. "Shit...." Infinity quickly shielded his eyes and wobbled out of the bathroom, in that case, didn't end too well. The door slammed shut after Infinity landed on his ass just outside the bathroom. His wings slowly started to unfurl. "Great...." Infinity mumbled to himself, "She's probably gonna think I'm some sort of freak.. as if I wasn't one already." Infinity tried to convince himself that he was imagining things, but what was going on on the other side of the door? "Oh why..." Twilight slid her back down the bathroom wall, reaching the floor, "Why do I always end up with the weird ones?" Later that Day Infinity was downstairs, sitting at the table with Spike, the dragon still didn't trust Infinity as of yet, probably take a long while, but working there. Twilight Sparkle on the other hand was getting ready for today, or rather, this afternoon. She wanted to make sure of a few things before she left, well, they. Twilight was planning on having Infinity 'Plane' sign up for the weather team in Ponyville, that is, if he was willing. She was coming down into the library when she heard the middle of the two boy's conversation. "....I'm surprised she didn't throw something at you, or you in the first place." Spike's voice was heard. "At least I managed to get out of the bathroom before anything else happened. Don't get me wrong, she's friendly n' all, but I see something in her." Infinity could be heard talking now, Twilight's cheeks went a light pink. "See what inside Twilight?" Spike asked, leaning his head into his claw. "A spark of some sort, I guess. I don't know why I see a spark in her though... must be something I'll try to figure out later." Twilight walked into view of the both of them, to which the conversation stopped and Infinity's jaw hung open. "Ready to go Infinity?" Twilight asked with a light smile. "Uhh... yeah.... sure." Infinity was finding a bit of a hard time getting his brain to function properly by the surprise, yet, unknowingly agreed to accompany Twilight somewhere. Twilight and Infinity were now walking down a street heading towards the weather team office. The silence was kind of getting to Infinity and found it to try a conversation. Infinity was thinking of something to ignite a nice conversation. His thoughts were well in place, until he felt a pressure in his back. The name "Rainbow" was the last thing he heard before his face got buried into the dirt below, then, darkness overfell his vision. "Rainbow!" Twilight gasped as her friend planted both her hooves into Infinity's back, driving him to the ground. "What? You know how I feel about strange stallions hanging around you!" Rainbow complained. "That doesn't mean you can attack them on sight!" Twilight raised her voice slightly. "Besides, this one didn't feel right to me.." Rainbow tried to reason back. "You say that to every stallion I've tried to talk to!" Twilight shot back. Rainbow sat there for a moment and looked down at the unknown pegasus she just drove to the ground, her hooves still planted in his back, something really didn't feel right about him. Rainbow opened her mouth to try and defend her actions, but was cut off by Twilight. This infuriated the cyan mare. "I don't want to hear it Rainbow, now, if you would to be so kinds as to step off of him so we can go sign him up." Twilight had a half-glare going, Rainbow Dash had to be cautious, remembering the last time her friend got pissed. Infinity let out a low groan as he was coming to, turning his head to the side and opening his eye to look at Twilight, then smiled at her. He felt a weight shift as the attacker stepped off of his back. Slowly, he brought himself back to his feet and wobbled a bit, trying to get his balance back. "Are you all right?" Twilight asked, helping Infinity regain his balance. "Of course, I've had much worse than a dropkick to the back." Infinity chuckled lightly, the pain was still a small presence. "How much worse?" Rainbow asked, causing Infinity to look at her, reconizing the mare. "I've taken a hit by a bus before." Infinity replied, his manner far from anger. "A... bus?" Rainbow tilted her head, a confused look towards Infinity. "Long story, anyway, I'm Infinity Plane." He stuck out his hand with a wide smile. "You must be Rainbow Dash." Rainbow didn't know which one took her by surprise, his friendly after being assaulted or the fact that he knew her name without having to meet. "How do you know my name?" Rainbow took a step back from the stallion near Twilight. "Ms. Sparkle here told me some about you." Infinity earned a slight blush from Twilight again. "You definitely live up to being athletic, that's for sure!" Rainbow took a glare towards Twilight, then back at Infinity. "So... where are you two heading anyway?" "I was taking him to get signed up for the weather team." Twilight quickly answered, to which Infinity shrugged "HA! Good luck with getting a spot on the weather team. He'd be lucky to even get freelance weather jobs, which don't pay much." Rainbow seemed to mock Infinity. Infinity looked at Twilight with a raised brow. "So that's where we were heading?" "He didn't know?" Rainbow couldn't choose what to be surprised at, her friend tricking this guy, or this dude's reaction after being assaulted. Twilight quickly started pushing Infinity down the street. "We should get going, see ya Rainbow!" "What's the big deal?" Infinity asked, starting to walk again. "I didn't want the situation to escalate any further, nor did I want her finding out who you really are." Twilight looked at the ground as she explained. "Like I'm gonna go around and tell everyone here my true identity." Infinity almost scoffed. "You're going around telling everyone your real name." Twilight fought back in a soft manner, already not wanting an argument. The rest of the day panned out just fine, for the exception that Infinity got elbowed, backhanded, his teeth nearly kicked in, his shoulder set ablaze, and not to mention his first encounter where he got driven to the dirt. Both Twilight and Infinity went to town hall to see for any job openings, only two were available though, a busboy at some restaurant in town and, for some reason, bounty hunter at Dodge Junction. How that sort of offer came up in this town, they'll never know. Infinity was just glad that it was the end of the day and he could finally get some well deserved rest for tomorrow. Day 2 Infinity sat in the middle of the study with what appeared to be holographic screens of some sort. Everyone was inside due to the fact that it was raining, Spike was napping somewhere, Twilight was reading in her bed, and Infinity was doing whatever it was he's doing. He was studying the screens that emanated from the sword in Infinity's lap. They looked to contain graphs and statuses of places that the imagination held. He was checking, or maybe looking, for something that might be out of place besides himself. Nothing came up. "Edge, are you sure there isn't anything wrong?" Infinity was in a deadpan curiosity. "Yes Sire, I have made the necessary preparations before we left." Edge spoke in the deepest confines of his mind. Edge had been pretty good so far, not suggesting any actions towards the mare he's staying with and keeping a bit of quiet so that Infinity can enjoy himself. This realm has proven somewhat peaceful for Edge's owner, just that the Three Days was never something she could prevent. Twilight listened to the brief moment of silence. "But what about anything or one that might know who I am without meeting them?" Another moment of silence went by, this was longer, and she was getting curious now. "All righty then. I guess everything's in order." Infinity's voice was now decorated with a bit of joy as he clapped his hands together. Twilight decided to let her curiosity take hold as she hopped out of bed and see what Infinity was up to. "Infinity?" She asked, seeing him putting Edge up on the roof of a bookshelf. He turned with a smile. "Yes?" "What was that all about?" Twilight asked from the doorway. "What was what?" Infinity shot the question back, slightly confused. "The questions you asked just a little bit ago." Infinity sighed as soon as he heard that come out of her mouth. "You heard that, hm?" She nodded. "Well, it's my task to make sure that the other realms aren't in any real danger while I'm gone." "Other realms?" Twilight tilted her head in confusion. "As in alternate realities?" "Yes and no." Infinity took a moment to find the words to describe what he does and where he goes. "More like... different planes of existence that are confined to their own universe." "Ooh... I get it now. Different dimensions. But I thought that only existed in science fiction novels?" Twilight was now confused. "I read some of those, they are completely wrong on one level." Infinity laughed a bit. "And that was?" Twilight asked, catching off guard. "There's never a way to jump into a different dimension directly without having some sort of median." Infinity explained. "What kind of median?" Twilight was a bit interested now. "A lobby, or hall, that holds the dimensions behinds locked doors to be opened with a single key." Infinity was remembering the Hall he was in four days ago. "Anyway, there's something I want to show you." Infinity walked towards both living chairs in the study, and turned them to face one another. He took a seat in one and motioned Twilight to sit in the other. She didn't bother to move out of her own skeptical, but instead just stared at Infinity. Infinity just stared back for a few moments before saying something. "It's not like I'm going to bite. Come over here and sit with me." Infinity opened a hand towards the other chair. Twilight eventually complied and walked across the room to sit in the chair across from Infinity. "Alright... instead of telling you where I originally came, I'm going to show you the place I was born in." Infinity didn't sound too happy, it sort of put Twilight off, but she was curious as to what he was going to show her. "How do you plan on showing me?" Twilight asked. "Simple magic that allows me to connect our consciences." Infinity looked at her, his eyes didn't look to be glare, nor did they feel like anger. "Gimme your hands, left hand up, right hand down." "That's not simple magic, Infinity! That's beyond advanced magic." Twilight was staring into his eyes, fear was obvious. "There could be dire consequences to this sort of action!" "Trust me..." Infinity took up both of her hands into his and sighed, "Twilight.. I'm just as scared as you are, but I want someone to understand just the kind of place I sort of grew up in." Twilight felt his fear upon contact of their hands. Whatever Infinity was scared of there, must be horrible. "Close your eyes, Twilight, then we can enter our minds." Infinity had his eyes closed already, a yellow-green aura coming off of him and Twilight. The aura felt.. welcoming.. to Twilight, and she accepted it. She let it warmth of the aura embrace her. Letting her drift off with Infinity. Soon, she found herself in darkness, surrounded by it, floating in it. Surprisingly enough, in her current clothing also, which were purple and pink plaid pajama pants and a simple tank top that was white. Twilight's loneliness was soon ended when Infinity came floating into her vision. In his natural state, of course, he was sharing his conscience with her. "So, this is what your subconscious looks like?" Twilight asked, looking around. "Nope, just give it a moment to find the memory." Infinity crossed his arms and stood on ground that wasn't even there. Infinity definitely didn't lie as dirt expanded to his feet, then grass grew the next second. On the horizon, a metropolis grew and expanded around them, sidewalks, shining streets, tall buildings, it was like Manehattan on a massive scale. Twilight just stare in complete awe at the sight that grew around her, while Infinity chuckled to himself nearby. "You look like a child that just walked into a toy store for the first time." Infinity chuckled as they both stood in the middle of the street. "OF course, I mean, look at all of this! Why would you ever want to leave?" Twilight asked, still looking at the towering buildings above. Infinity's smile went away quickly, a grimace came across his face. "You'll find out why..." As the words fell from his mouth, the sky turned black with an orange undercoating, the two were no longer in it, but outside, a good ways away from it. There was a silhouette of that metropolis, but it was on fire. Twilight could feel something, something that was out of place. She couldn't bear to look at it anymore, and looked towards Infinity, whom of which had tears in his eyes. "This was the day Edge found me, for me, I thought it was going to be normal day, but i was so wrong. I should've known a chemical weapon would be launched. My dimension was always at war, to no end. a plague ripped through the populations by the millions in that single day alone. It was a living nightmare, the apocalypse arrived..." Twilight was making her way to him, tears welling up in her own eyes as he went on. "But I was so young then, oh so young. Too young to die. Edge, she saw something in me that she could bring out, she saw the only light in that world through me, somehow. She... cured that damned plague, a fucking miracle is what I thought, but she knew I had to leave, but i wouldn't, I didn't want to leave my mother behind, had to... for the better i guess. I still wonder though, if my mom is still alive, but if she isn't, then watching me from somewhere, seeing all those great thing I've pulled off. Seeing exactly what I've become. A protector, keeping the innocent safe, and the evil away." Infinity sighed as Twilight lurched forward, but she also lurched forward from the chair, breaking the connection, but wrapping her arms around him. Encasing him in a warm hug. Infinity slowly wrapped his arms around her, accepting the hug. Twilight looked at Infinity and noticed something, his tears. Infinity's tears were stained the darkest black she'd ever seen, despite her fear, she leaned in close to his ear and whispered. "It wasn't your fault." Thunder cracked, breaking the silence, but it didn't bother the two from sharing this moment to comfort the other. Day 3 Infinity woke up a bit later than usual, judging by how high the sun was in the sky, somewhere in the afternoon, but he wasn't the only one in the chair this morning. Infinity could feel another mass in Twilight's chair with him. What he did know about this situation was that the mass was soft and the smell of lavenders was present. To his curiosity of what was in the chair with him, he found out the Twilight was in the chair with him. She looked so peaceful, sleeping up against him. Infinity didn't even bother to move. Twilight was laying sideways, with her leg hanging off the arm of the chair while her head was against the center of his chest. She had brought the blanket from her bed and somehow managed to cover both herself and Infinity with it. He couldn't really deny that he didn't enjoy it, even thought the weight was a bit much due to his hollow bone structure. Just then, Spike walked in, stopping immediately as son as he saw where Twilight was sleeping. "Dude!" Spike hissed in a hushed tone. "I didn't expect you two to hit it off that well!" "Dude!" Infinity mimicked Spike in the same volume. "We didn't do anything!" "Riiiiight... and I'm Captain of the Royal Guard." Spike retorted. "AND I'm not an inter-dimensional being!" Infinity shot back. "Damn... you got me there." Spike looked away for a moment then back towards the two. "Anyway, I came up here to see what you two might want for brunch." "Can it wait a bit longer?" Twilight stretched sleepily, curling up to Infinity. "I'm enjoying this..." Both Spike and Infinity were now looking at Twilight, Spike with his mouth agape, Infinity in a light blush. "I'll have some eggs.... please." Infinity requested of Spike. "I think I'll be here a long while." Later that day Infinity finally got some time to stretch his legs, seems as how they weren't used to having another body on them in the first place, and was well on his way outside. Light grey clouds still loomed over Ponyville, possible light showers? Infinity wasn't worried about a bit of rain, he had other things to worry about other than rain. "Infinity!" A voice called out from behind, but he knew by the tone just who it was, Twilight. "Can I ask you something? Mainly concerning yesterday." "If it's about my tears, it's an old legend from where I came from." Infinity stopped the question before it was asked. "I know this because you were a bit hesitant yesterday when you whispered in my ear." "What's the legend?" Twilight asked, looking at hims with some slight concern. "It's called the Sea of Black Tears, an old legend even before I was born, and maybe before my whole kind. But legend of this Sea is that it's actually a lake of pure sorrow and darkness, and is said to drive those who drink it, insane." "But then why can you cry such a thing?" "That was something most groups in my realm considered a sign. A sign that the Sea still existed somewhere on our world. We never could find it, nor did anything point to it's location. But if you cried such dark waters, you were considered to subconsciously know the the direction to the Sea and uncover it's mysteries, and make one's tears pure again." Infinity explained, still walking down the dirt path. "What do you think of the Sea of Black Tears?" Twilight asked, keeping her pace to his. "Just an old tale, something to keep treasure hunters on a wild goose hunt for nothing. Now, I have a question for you." Infinity looked to his side, his eyes meeting Twilight's. "Why did you decide to sleep in the chair with me?" Twilight instantly blushed and looked away. "I... uh..." "I'm listening.." "I couldn't sleep last night, so I thought that if you had someone sleeping with you, it'd help both of us." "But how did you know I was having troubles sleeping?" "It doesn't take a genius to know when someone is fidgeting enough to have a nightmare." "Clever girl." Of course, this day wasn't going to end that peacefully. Infinity was still walking on as Twilight stayed behind a bit. looking at the growing darkness above. Twilight went into a jog to catch up with the being ahead of her, pressing herself against his arm. "Do you think it'll rain?" T'is was a simple question, but might as well ask anyway. "Maybe just a little. Doesn't seem like it'll po- BZT!" "Infinity!" Infinity fell to the ground, stunned by a lightning strike. Twilight knelt down to see if he was alright, big mistake. The electrical current was still flowing through him from the strike, and shocked Twilight when she reached for him, sending her mane to stand on end, along with the tip of her finger in smoke. Other ponies had started to gather around, seeing if the two were all right, they were in for a surprise. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Infinity shot straight up, a trail of smoke following in his wake. "SON OF BITCH!" Infinity landed face first into the ground, only to be told that the tips of his ears, which Twilight kindly put out for him before he could get pissed any further. But at least infinity knew this was the last day of this madness. Of course, he always expected a series of unpleasant events, but then again, it was usually one or two things. The crowd started to disperse Infinity didn't hear anything until it was too late. Something pummeled him back into the ground. Twilight saw what it was, a tourist carriage that came loose from it's station came rolling in faster than she could react to get Infinity out of the way. Not fast enough. Out of the Hospital and into the Everfreeze Infinity awoke with a mind-splitting headache and a searing pain in his back. He was having a hard time focusing on the surroundings he was in, for the exception that he was in a bed, but he knew it wasn't his bed. His vision was a blur as he looked around the room, noticing different shapes of colors. Then one particular blob caught his eye. A lavender form with some white and brown, not to mention navy and slight pink among the colors the made this blob. Infinity leaned in closer, the proximity causing his vision to clear. It was Twilight Sparkle, sitting in a chair, her head buried in her arms off to the side of the bed. Infinity tried to hit up, but his body started to ache in protest, causing him to groan. Twilight started to wake at hearing Infinity groaning, lifting her head sleepily, and looking towards the source of the noise. She immediately latched herself to the pegasus in a hug. The hug causing him to groan out even worse than he already was. "Twilight, I appreciate the hug n' all... but I'm still sore from... whatever hit me..." Infinity was patting her back, trying to get her to let go. "Sorry." Twilight had her ears down as she retracted back to her seat next to the bed. "I'm just excited to see you alive and awake is all." "Yeah, well, 18 tons of machinery is worse. Really would put you in a coma if it doesn't kill ya." Infinity was rubbing his shoulder as he popped his back a bit. "What was I hit with, by the way?" "Tourist carriage." Twilight stated blankly as she watched Infinity. "You're mane looks like a mess. Kinda cute." Infinity pointed out when he scooted back, propping himself up on the headboard of the bed. Twilight blushed lightly before quickly fixing her mane, running her hand down the front and to her bangs several times. Infinity chuckled lightly before bringing his own hand up to sweep back his brown mane, so it was up and out of his eyes. At that exact moment, the doctor came in looking at his check board, he could have looked like a scientist with that lab coat if it weren't for the scrubs he was wearing at the time. He then looked up and smiled warmly at Infinity. "Nice to see that you're up, we thought you might be out for atleast several more hours." "I guess I should be thanking you for patching me up then, Doc?" Infinity asked. "You're quite welcome, I would advise you to not use your wings for a good month or two. The force of that carriage broke them in several places, including the bases." "Ah.. great..." Infinity slumped a bit. "I'm sure that that time will pass with its own pace considering your wonderful marefirend here brought you as quick as she could. Both ears perked up at hearing that, Twilight blushing darker now. "But she isn't my-" Infinity was cut off. "Well, I'm sure you two would like some time together now that you're awake. On top of that, I have other patients to attend to!" The doctor was off with a jolly smile. Infinity turned to Twilight with a smirk "Marefriend, huh?" "I may have lied a bit to have them let me stay.." Twilight responded with a sheepish smile. "And what story did you give them?" Infinity asked with his smirk still present "I told them that you don't have any family left, and that you consider me the only one of your family because of how long we've been together." Twilight explained herself. "And how long would that be?" "Five... years...?" "We've gone five years and I haven't proposed?!" Infinity gasped playfully. "What has this world come to where a guy dates a girl for five years and doesn't propose?" Twilight giggled "Oh stop it you." "Why? I like it when I can make someone smile. Makes me feel good about myself." Infinity had his own smile now. "You kind of sound like Pinkie Pie now." "Do I?" They both burst out into laughter, lasting a good some odd minutes, wiping away forming tears once it slowly died down. That's when they started to stare, not at eachother, but at eachother's eyes. That moment was short lived when Twilight decided to get up from her seat. "I.. should be going... gotta make sure Spike didn't get into anything..." Twilight stammered a bit as she started for the door. "Want me to come by tomorrow and check on you?" "That sounds... nice" As Twilight was heading out, the doctor was heading back in. "How long was I out, Doc?" Infinity asked upon instant notice of the doctor. "All of yesterday and only the morning of today. But I'm here to make sure you're body might be healing nicely, even if your wings may take longer." Twilight, however, started into a brisk walk upon exiting the library. Ever since he shared that memory with her, she could see something. A longing to not be alone anymore. As if he wanted to find somepony we could be with, peacefully. A longing to no longer worry about himself anymore, but another. Twilight felt that Infinity saw something in her, but who would want a bookworm? Most of all, why did she even climb into the chair to not feel alone with him? Twilight found the library just as she left it, tidied up. Spike was found sleeping in, not uncommon for him anyway. She quickly retreated upstairs. Her blanket was still drooped over her chair, since she spent the night at the hospital, and into the bathroom to do some freshening up. Which really meant shower, brush teeth, get new clothes on. Of course, she did have somethings to do today that she wanted done. Which included waking spike up. "... and we're done!" The doctor said gleefully. Infinity was relieved, he didn't expect the doctor to even ask him to try and walk, but he tried anyway. A small mess was made of the room, mainly just the corner he was instructed to walk to. Infinity was more focused on getting something to eat, he was starving. Well, why wouldn't he be? He was knocked unconscious the rest of yesterday and part of today, just the morning. He would've guessed that these 'check-ups' would be daily, but what did he know? He only knew how to cross dimensions and his magic. The nurse walked in with a tray and placed it on his lap. "Thanks." Infinity said joyfully, finally getting some sort of food, even if it was hospital food. "Anytime hun." She responded with a wink, and was off to attend to her other duties. On the tray was a plate of some kind of green goop, it wasn't solid, but neither was it liquid. What accompanied this food was a smaller plate of Jell-O... maybe? And apple slices, one of the more.. appealing things on the tray. Infinity picked up the plastic spork and took up some of that goop, and sniffed it a bit. What kind of food is this where it doesn't have a smell? He shrugged, putting the sporkful in his mouth. "Hey.." Infinity said to noone in particular, ".. this isn't half bad. Tastes like a vegetable drink only in a somewhat solid!" Infinity continued to eat his lunch slowly, staring out the window towards the sunny exterior. That's when an thought came to him. He was going to need something to do when Twilight wasn't here. If only he had some sort of machine that uses light to produce a red dot. Yes... perfect entertainment. "Mr. Plane." The nurse was back, poking her head in the doorway. "Yes?" Infinity asked, still staring out the window. "You have a visitor. She says she knows you." The nurse responded. Infinity just looked at the doorway. "Um... send them in... I guess?" The nurse nodded and left the doorway, the next thing he wasn't expecting. A bouncing pink mare with a rolling confetti cannon was the least of his worries. As for her attire, a baby blue skirt that stopped mid-thigh along with a plain, yellow tee. Near the bottom of said skirt, were three balloons, two matched the skirt, one matched the tee, but they all had a pink outline so the blue wouldn't blend in with the skirt. Her fur, he'd never forget when this mare pinned him against the wall, her mane was a different story, always poofy and moved with her bouncing. She had her eyes closed as she skipped on in. "You're not going to slam me against a wall again, are you?" Infinity groaned aloud. "Of course not silly! Why would I endanger a fifth dimensional being?" The oink mare responded gleefully. "Wait, what?" Infinity was looking at this mare now. "I've known what you looked like since the beginning of this story!" She giggled at her own statement. "Don't tell me.... a fourth wall breaker..." Infinity was rubbing his closed eyes with one hand. "And what's with the cannon?!" "Wow, the writer must've made you clueless, this is a party cannon silly! It allows me to decorate for a party in mere seconds!" She seemed like she could bound off the walls at any moment. "Great... a hyperactive fourth wall breaker. Girl, you have taken the cake for most amusing one." Infinity was clapping, for once, something amazed him. "Why is it that every fourth wall breaker I encounter always knows what I look like?" He looked off into the distance, as if staring at someone, the mare decided to lean in to see what he was looking at. Meanwhile, on the other side of a computer screen. "Dammit! You guys aren't involving me any further into this story!" The writer looked behind him. "As for you all, get back in the story! Not here, not ever!" "Wow.... he seems reeeeeaaallly pissed!" Infinity just nodded, and quickly turned his gaze to the mare. "Who are you anyway?" "Ohmigosh! I totally forgot to tell my name AAAAAND welcome you to Equestria! You are a very hard stallion to find, youknowthat?" The pink one was talking a mile a minute, it seemed at some parts anyway. "I'M Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie pulled the string on her Party Cannon, it was aimed at Infinity and blew confetti, streamers, and cake? "AND WELCOME TO EQUESTRIA! SpecificallyPonyville, anicelittletownthat'shomeawayfromhome!" Infinity didn't know which was worse; the fact that the cake's icing came off and onto his apple slices, or that she was yelling in his ear. "Uhm... thanks?" Infinity wasn't sure how to react exactly. He was more worried about his slices. "Huh, I guess I should work on keeping the icing on the cake!" Pinkie giggled, seeing the joke in the statement. She quickly picked up one of the covered slices and ate it down quickly. Infinity just looked at Pinkie before picking one up and taking a bite out of it. Eh, at least it was better than the vegetable goop. "Besides..." Infinity chomped on another apple, "Twilight was the first to welcome me, but yours was a little less.... well, more of enjoyable than hers." "Aw fiddlesticks! How'd she greet you?" Pinkie got into his face, by now, Infinity wasn't caring, just wanted to eat. "Flying objects." Infinity replied, offering the pink mare another slice. "Wow... some sort of entrance you must have made to have her throw stuff at you." Pinkie sat down, taking the slice. "As far as I know, I don't blame her. I practically came crashing down from the sky, broke her window, and landed in her bedroom. I'm just glad she was wrapped in a towel..." Infinity looked at himself. "She was.." Pinkie gasped, somehow leaning the whole chair back, her voice now in a whisper, "... in the nude?" "At least she was covered by a damned towel!" The he shrugged, smiling to himself. "Now look at us.... we seem like we've been friends forever even though I know she's being a great host, not that she wasn't after throwing shit at me. I feel that if she had to, she'd protect me, and for her, I'd do the same." "Sounds like someone's in loooooove!" Pinkie cooed jokingly, causing Infinity to crack up a bit. "Maybe so... but what do I know about love? I've been alone ever since Edge found me." That's when the room fell silent, Pinkie just stared at the pegasus form next to her. She felt like she should say something, but what would she say? Infinity's smile didn't waver after his statement. For once, he truly felt happy in his life, being in this world of colored ponies, it gave hims a sense of peace. "You know, I didn't think that Rainbow Dash girl could pack on helluva kick." Infinity broke the silence. About damn time too. Twilight was well on her way to find Rainbow Dash somewhere in Ponyville. And what better place to look? Why the clouds of course! Seems as how good ol' Rainbow here loves to take naps in the skies. Especially on clouds, who wouldn't want to sleep on a cloud? "Rainbow Dash!" Twilight called out to a cloud with a multi-colored tail. Rainbow just poked her head over the edge of the cloud, an unamused look on her face. "Whaddya want Egghead? You're interrupting my nap." "Infinity got put in the hospital yesterday and I-" "Hah! Serves him right!" Rainbow blurted out. "Rainbow!" Twilight gasped. "You shouldn't be saying that somepony you don't know!" "Why? It's not like most stallions are softies anyway, they'd much rather run around and rut any mare willing to let them!" "Even I know that's not true Rainbow." "OH yeah? Then what has that stallion done for you? Hmmmm?" Rainbow eyed her friend down below. "Well... he makes me smile.. and.." "Pfft.." Rainbow seemed unimpressed "And.. AND he made me breakfast. TWICE!" "Isn't that Spike's job since you can't cook decently?" Twilight had a light blush after hearing Rainbow's statement."H-he insisted, and besides, it's not ALL of Spike's responsibility!" "Yeah, because he's there." Rainbow brushed off. "Ok then, Rainbow, what have stallions done for you?" Twilight crossed her arms Rainbow hesitated, something she never did unless she was caught off guard. "T-th-that's not important!" "It is if you weren't so concerned about me being around Infinity!" Twilight retorted back. "Don't you have some books to be reading?" Rainbow shot from the top of her cloud. "You are really hard headed sometimes!" Twilight fumed before stomping off in the other direction. Rainbow was hiding something, but what? A week later, Infinity was finally out of the hospital, but his wings were wrapped on bandages against his back. His week was peppered with occasional visits from the energetic Pinkie Pie and sometimes Twilight Sparkle to check up on him, a good thing too. He actually spent most of his days either sleeping, or staring up at the ceiling, if he wasn't eating. But he finally got to be let out and finally go back to the library, there might come a time when he will call it home, but Infinity doesn't think that he'll be staying any longer than needed to. He couldn't help but shake a feeling though. He was far too busy as it was anyway, making music inside his head that got out through his lips and vocal cords. Most of it was heavy bass noises. Infinity got many looks from passerby's as he walked down the street, not that he cared anyway. He was more concerned with getting back to Twilight's and probably getting some rest in that comfy chair she owns, that hospital bed felt like a wooden board. Finally, the library was coming into view and Infinity couldn't help but pick up his pace. When he reached the door however, it was slightly ajar. This started to make him suspicious as he peered through the crack of the door. Darkness. Darkness was that could be seen inside. Infinity pushed the door open slightly more and stepped inside. "Twilight?" Infinity called out. No answer. "Hello?" The door slammed shut behind him. More Darkness, he was sure that there were supposed to be windows in the library part of this tree, and they didn't have covers. "Nothing some magelights can't fix" He stated bluntly, his hand aglow. Infinity threw a small orb of light to the far end of the room, and two others for each side. He didn't forget about himself as he summoned another small orb to follow him. Infinity slowly made his way across a mess of books. It seemed like they were scattered from the shelves and all over the floor below. "Twilight?" Infinity called out again. "Infinity!" Spike's voice yelled through something. "Th-there's something in the library! I-it knocked out Twilight and trapped us up here! You gotta do something!" "Of course I have to do something.... if it knocked out Twilight...." Infinity stopped, one of his magelights vanished from his peripheral. "Spike! What was Twilight doing earlier today?!" "She was working on some kind of spell today....She found this small book in the seat you usually sleep in." Spike tried to recall as he went. "And that thing suddenly appeared and it just knocked her out!" "Shit, she got a hold of my spellbook! There's only one spell that could've caused this...." The other magelight vanished. They weren't wearing off either, they could last longer than a mere minute. It was something far worse, something he'd only summon when the need arose. Infinity slowly turned around and came face to face with what seemed like Twilight, but completely black with pale yellow eyes. "Shadow Elemental!" Infinity managed to to get out before being grabbed and slammed against the wall blocking the stairs. The elemental just hissed at him. "Well... someone has a pretty face, don't they?" Infinity chuckled before presenting his palms and letting loose a force powerful enough to sweep the thing off its feet and into the darkness. Infinity took the initiative and fish around in his pockets for something. The elemental charged. Dodge. Force Push. The tactic was somewhat reliable as the elemental charged, but was difficult to do any dodging while fishing his pockets and the books scattered all over the place. Infinity missed his chance to push the creature back and got hit with a forearm across his muzzle. The blow sent him off to the right and skidding against the ground into the rounded wall. "Dammit! Where are you, you stupid piece of-" Infinity was interrupted by the elemental's snarling as it loomed over him. "Shit...." Infinity was grabbed by his ankles and swung around, his back hitting the wall and his wings. The elemental swung him around to hit the wall again, but Infinity managed to break free and force the being back into the darkness just when the magelight by him went out. "It's one thing to attack me... but it's a whole other concept to be attacking my friends." Infinity was speaking low as he got up. With a snap of his fingers, a crystal, well, what looked to be a crystal, in his hands. The elemental was growling now. "Oh, you know what this is, don't you?" Infinity asked sarcastically as possible, conjuring another magelight, revealing the piece of ice. "Then you wouldn't happen to know what would happen if I pumped it full of light, would you?" The elemental let out a high-pitched shriek as it charged Infinity again. Reacting quickly as it came into view, Infinity grabbed its throat, and slammed it to the ground. It shrieked again, only causing Infinity to wince as he put a hoof on its chest. He stood tall raising the ice crystal to the magelight, his hand getting encased in a white aura before slowly transiting the light to the ice piece, causing it to glow brighter and brighter by the second. Infinity covered his eyes to block himself from the brightening light he held in his hand. All he could hear was the fading shriek of the elemental as it was banished back where it came from. "Infinity?" He heard Spike again, but still slightly muffled. "What just happened?" "Banishment, Spike, banishment.I sent that prick back where it came from." Infinity looked around the room, the only thing he didn't get rid of was the barricade. Time to fix that. "Spike, you may want to stand back. This might be a bit blinding at first." Infinity instructed, approaching the door. In one swift movement, Infinity shove the ice crystal into the barricade. the veins in his arm lighting up along with the ice. The barricade cracking with light as chips started to come off. Infinity could feel himself getting weary, using this much magic in one day would exhaust him of all his energy. Just then, the barricade started to collapse in on itself, falling in chunks from the top to around the ice. When it was fully gone, he found Spike at the top of the steps, staring down towards the bottom with a sort of worried look. Infinity poked his head in and smiled at the dragon before ascending the steps to find Twilight, and as Spike said. Unconscious. "There's quite a mess downstairs." Infinity turned his head to Spike, a slight smile across his face. "I'll help you when I get her to bed." Trees that Talk"Dude, just what exactly did you use to get rid of that thing anyway?" Spike's voice came to Infinity's ears as he placed books on the shelf before him. "It's an Everfreeze crystal. It's like ice, but never melts, never breaks, and highly adaptable. But it sucks energy out of me more quickly than anything else I use, besides the Spirit." Infinity explained "The Spirit, what's that?" Spike asked, turning to see the back of Infinity. "Hopefully... something you two will never see." Infinity simply replied. The two continued on with their work while upstairs, an unconscious Twilight Sparkle was beginning to stir. In her slumber, she dreamt of terrible things, awful things. Things that shouldn't be in her mind. When she finally calmed, her lips parted, her tone a tremble, her volume just below a whisper, She spoke one name. "Infinity." Infinity's ears perked up, hearing her whisper from the impossible volume level that she spoke in. That's when he suddenly stopped putting the books away. Spike noticed this behavior out of the corner of his eye and got curious. Of course, Spike didn't hear a peep, but speculated something was up when Infinity was staring at the stairs. "You alright over there dude?" Spike turned to look at Infinity. "I think Twilight said something." Was Infinity's only response to the drake, his ears twitched once more. Infinity slowly ascended up the stairs with his own silence. He heard his name in another whisper, his eyes locked straight ahead as he walked across the floor. It took him a few minutes to walk to Twilight's bedside, to which he knelt. She was tossing a turning, she eventually tried to settle on her back where her arm fell from the bed. "It's okay..." Infinity started, slowly grabbing her hand and speaking in a soft tone, "I'm right here, no need to get all riled up." Twilight's grip slowly tightened around Infinity's hand, her facial expression went calm, and her breathing slowed. Infinity smiled a bit, lightly stroking her mane with his free hand. He didn't know anything about calming, but this seemed to be working. That was good enough for him. Infinity's body jolted, signaling his awakening. He had his head buried in his arm that didn't have an occupied hand. His head raised slowly as he looked at his other hand to find that Twilight still had a hold of it. Infinity's eyes slowly made their way to Twilight, she was still asleep, but smiling now. He figured he could go get something to eat, for the both of them, just in case Twilight woke up also. He got up and began walking away, or until his arm met its length, and stopped. Twilight wouldn't let go of his hand, pulling on his arm wouldn't even get her grip off. Her smile didn't waver. Infinity let out a sigh of defeat a knelt back down at the side of Twilight's bed and looked out the window. Judging by how much light was left, it was somewhere in the evening. "You know.." He heard a soft voice next to him, "... you're cute when you struggle." "So you were awake." Infinity looked back towards Twilight, whom was sleepily gazing back at him. "And you're curiosity got you in a sort of trouble." "I figured as much..." Twilight shifted to sit up in her bed, "What was that thing anyway?" "Shadow elemental, nasty beings, and very hard to control. My only question in why would you even try reading from my spellbook in the first place?" Infinity eyes the mare in the bed, his voice was still soft, but no doubt stern. "I didn't mean to actually try and use any of the spells in your book, just thought I could... you know.. see what they were." Twilight looked down, her legs shifting under the blankets uncomfortably. "You, and the town, were lucky. If I weren't here to stop it, who knows how powerful it might've become, and probably ruin your image. Apparently, if it also succeeded in eliminating me, it might just make Ponyville its own playground, but Everfreeze always works in banishing elementals." Infinity pulled the crystal from his pocket. Twilight looked at the crystal, the light in the room slightly distorted as it shone through it. Just by looking at it, she felt cold. "Is that what you're talking about?" Twilight asked, reaching her hand out to touch the piece of ice. "The only Everfreeze crystal in existence. Here, I want to show you something with it." Infinity quickly place the crystal in her palm. "Ooh... that is cold.." Twilight shivered at its touch. "Listen up. I would appreciate it if you put both of your hands on each side of that Everfreeze." Infinity instructed, Twilight did as he said and untangled her hand from his so it may occupy the other side of the Everfreeze. Infinity soon placed his hands over hers with his eyes closed. "Now, close your eyes and think of one place that makes you fell the happiest." Twilight thought for a moment, thinking on his instruction. Where did she feel the happiest when noone was around? Whenever she wasn't with friends, or not in her library? That's when it came to her. Of course that was the place she'd feel the happiest. "Now, open your eyes." Was all she heard of Infinity. When Twilight did open her eyes, she found not only herself, but Infinity also. Infinity was in his natural state, his wolf-like state. Not only that, but they were surrounded by stars, galaxies, even nebulas. Twilight started to grin widely as she looked around, then to Infinity before engulfing him in a bear hug. She didn't know why she did that, all she knew is that she was happy and it was because of him. She didn't want to think, only enjoy. Infinity gladly returned the hug he was given, despite they were standing on what seemed like an invisible platform "So, you find space comforting, hm?" Infinity asked, releasing from her hug. "I guess... now that I think about it... yeah." Twilight was still grinning as she looked around the star-filled space around them. She turned her gaze back towards Infinity. "Thank you." "For what?" Infinity asked, still looking around the space. "For protecting me to start with, and, showing me this amazing place." Twilight smiled, her gaze still locked on Infinity. "Yeah, well, you're welcome about the shadow elemental. As for this, it was always in your mind, just waiting to be visited again." Infinity looked back at her with a smile of his own. "I probably wouldn't even have known it was here without you." Twilight said with a smug smile now, getting a bit closer. "Well... it wouldn't be anything special. Just me doin my thing." Infinity retorted back with some confidence. "Really, and just what exactly is this 'thing' you do?" Twilight asked with a small grin. "Protecting existing dimensions, suppressing threats to dimensions, and exploring new parts of the multiverse. Nothing big nor important." Infinity acted as if his role wasn't important, but Twilight sure as hell saw how important it was. "Must be stressful, hm?" Twilight gears were turning, that much she knew. "Yeah, I never knew until a few days ago how lonesome it was too." Infinity sighed at his remark. It truly was lonesome "How did you figure that out?" Twilight was truly interested now, scooching just a bit closer. "Meeting you." Infinity replied in a low tone. Twilight could feel her cheeks light up a bit. She didn't know if it was because he was the first stallion, or in his case, creature, she could talk to without having them feel dumb around her or because he understood perfectly what it's like to be alone for long periods of time. Something she almost knew, but to him, seemed like a long-time friend. It was at the moment, she put a hand on his cheek and made him look at her, right into her royal purple eyes and she leaned in. He could feel her breath brush against his lips, she was so close to connecting her lips to his and.... Both awoke suddenly, Infinity smashed his back against the floor as the Everfreeze crystal landed perfectly on his chest. Twilight was a bit curious, and disappointed. She was so close, but also noticed his hands had a faint tint of smoke trailing off of them. Strange. Twilight also noticed how dark it had gotten out too, Luna's night sky spilling across the land. "I guess this means it's time to go to bed, I suppose." She mumbled to herself, a snort coming from the pegasus on the floor. Twilight smiled a bit looking down at Infinity, staring for a few seconds before laying back down and gazing out of her window for the rest of the night, or most. Celestia's sun was rising from the horizon and bleeding rays into the room. Twilight was facing away from her window, so the rays of light had little to no effect at bothering her, as for the shuffling below, that was a different story. Infinity had woken up sometime on the early morning and was walking around the upstairs with a towel around his waist and mumbling aimlessly to himself. That stallion was waiting for his shorts and shirt to dry while trying to sort through a list of everything he needed for today. He had plans to speak with someone today. So Infinity had laid out some square tokens that size of his palm, the Everfreeze, a piece of paper, and a pocket watch. "Hmm." Infinity said aloud, staring at his pile of 'junk'. Just then, Twilight started to stir in her bed, opening her eyes and looked at Infinity sleepily. Sighing to herself before sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes, then stretched her arms out above her head yawning. "Morning Twilight." She heard Infinity's voice say, causing her to look at him. "But... you're not looking at me." Twilight pointed out. "Didn't have to, heard ya sigh, so I figured you were awake." Infinity responded back, his eyes leaving to look at Twilight. "Well... morning to you too. Where are your clothes?" Twilight asked, just now noticing the towel wrapped around Infinity's waist. "They're drying, I have some plans today anyway." Infinity replied, briefly walking out of the room and back in. "Nope, still not dry yet." "And what sort of plans might you have today?" Twilight asked with a smile. "Oh... nothing too special or big." Infinity was waving his hand around like it didn't matter. "Just going to talk to someone, then maybe go see about that busboy position at the cafe." "Sounds...rather calm." "Yeah.. but if I need some new clothing, I'm gonna need some money, so, why not apply as a busboy?" Infinity shrugged, not having a real reason to. "True...." "Tell you what," Infinity broke his speech to go into the next room, only to have his voice carry over, "I'll even split the groceries with ya." "Oh, you don't need to do that." Twilight spoke out, a bit taken back by his offer. "Oh but I insist!" Infinity poked his head through, his shirt seen at the base of his neck with a broad smile. "And you wanna meet this someone, you might wanna get ready." "What makes you think I'd want to come?" Twilight tried to act snobby, sticking her snout in the air. "Because you like me." Infinity said with a wink before disappearing on the other side of the door frame. Twilight let out a small huff of fake frustration before walking over to her dresser. To Infinity, they were making good timing as they got out forty-five minutes later. Thirty to wait on Twilight and fifteen for their breakfast of oatmeal that tasted like cinnamon rolls and maple syrup. Twilight is still trying to figure out just how Infinity managed to not make a huge mess in his rush. The lavender unicorn eventually stopped in her tracks when Infinity started approaching the Everfree forest. Sure, she could make it to Zecora's place alone, but the Everfree was still eerie alone. "Infinity!" Twilight hissed in a hushed tone. "You can't go in there! It's dangerous to!" "Ha!" Infinity scoffed, turning to look at the mare. "You haven't seen dangerous until you come face-to-face with death itself on its off days!" "How can you even say that? Does that even make any sense?" Twilight was now confused, but still trying to keep a somewhat distance from the Everfree while trying to follow Infinity. "It does when you're really goods friends with 'im. I'm still surprised I beat the skelly in a staring contest." Infinity went into the Everfree, Twilight stayed out on the edge. A roar was heard in the background followed by a whimper. "Eep!" Then rustling was heard by her ears, and it was moving closer. Closer and closer the rustling moved. Then Infinity popped his put from behind a tree and Twilight squeaked, shutting her eyes and blasted a beam of concentrated magic from her horn. When she opened her eyes, Infinity now stood in front of her with an unamused look and a fluff of fur on fire on his head. "Are you coming, or not?" He asked, his tone didn't sound pleasant nor unpleasant. Twilight quietly nodded, getting a smile from Infinity. "Thatta girl." The unicorn quietly stayed close to Infinity's back, unfamiliar territory not only he was traveling into, but she also hadn't seen this part of the Everfree either. Just where was he going and how did he even know where to look for this person? Twilight couldn't hold it in for any longer and opened her mouth. "Just what are we looking for?" She asked, a bit eager to get out of the forest. "A giant tree." Infinity replied. "He lives in a tree, should be easy I guess." Twilight sighed. "Not quite..." Infinity said with a smile before coming to a clearing. Twilight's eyes widened as she looked over his shoulder. Grass swayed in the slight breeze that seemed to not even exist, the ruffling of the leaves on a gigantic tree. By the looks of it, was bigger than her tree home also, it seemed magnificent, but also a bit mysterious. Why is it that this tree nopony has ever noticed, but also why Infinity also was the only one that knew about it. "All right big guy! Time to wake up!" Infinity said aloud, reaching into his pocket and picking out a square token and tossing it onto the bark of the tree. The coin activated in a sort of yellow-green glow for a few seconds before the ground started to rumble beneath their hooves. Twilight clung to Infinity's arm as if her life depended on it, which in this case, might actually depend on him. The ground beneath the tree started to rise, revealing a mound of dirt. The rumbling didn't stop there either. A hand followed by an arm made of wood rose and placed itself on the grass. Then another arm. The rather loud and deep yawn bellowed from a head that rose from a body of highly compact dirt held in place by four of the trees roots. The glowing blue eyes seem to be staring at its visitors. Mainly, the lighter blue 'pupils' were fixed on Infinity. "Infinity... it has been a long while since a Crosser has summoned me." The voice the bellowed from its mouth seemed calm, deep, but recognizing to the pegasus he was looking at. "I see you followed the energy I was giving off..." "It's only been like, what, 12 years since I last saw you? You're not getting sentimental are you, Rootsworth?" Infinity smiled, taking a step closer to only be held back by Twilight. "I see you still use your pet name for me... and that you brought a friend." The tree known as 'Rootsworth' to Infinity shifted his gaze towards Twilight. "Appears to be unicorn... female... and has a strong feeling for you." Twilight started to blush the brightest red that could match Infinity's eyes. "Infinity!" Twilight hissed in another hushed tone. "What in tartarus is that... that thing?!" "A tree, duh." Infinity looked back towards the mare. "I call hims Rootsworth for the mere fact that he exists anywhere and everywhere in the dimensions. He can see all that was, is, and will be. Sort of like a god... only better and with more bark." "But... that's impossible! Trees don't talk!" Twilight tried to argue back. "I'm sorry, have we met? I'm a Dimension Crosser! Almost anything is possible when I'm around!" Infinity said with an unbelievable amount of sarcasm. "I see your sense of humor hasn't gone anywhere." Roothsworth chuckled. "Yes.. well... I need you to tell me something, Rootsworth, and just not anything." Infinity's tone changed to a grim one, he wasn't about to joke about this matter. "What can I help you with... old friend?" Rootsworth asked, intrigued, but not bothered by Infinity's grim tone. Yesterday, my friend here accidentally managed to summon a shadow elemental from my spellbook. What had me confused is that its eyes were supposed to a deep purple like hers..." Infinity put a palm out, showing Twilight's face, ".. but they were yellow. Only you would know the reason behind that, what caused it." Rootsworth sighed. "Fear. Fear is coming to this realm. But it isn't approaching now, in a few years, fear will come after you, seeking you out." "Seeking me out for what exactly?" Infinity asked, determined to find out what. "To make this realm... your final resting place." Rootsworth spoke just as grim as Infinity did. Infinity's eyes widened, and rushed past Twilight towards the forest, only to hear the mare following him and the tree's last words. "You mustn't be captured." Time and Time Again"How long has it been? Days? Months? Maybe." Infinity mentally asked himself. He was sitting at one of Twilight's desks, a small pile of bits stacked neatly nearby. Winter was starting to set in over the continent now, ponies settling into warm attire that consisted of long sleeves and heavy coats. That was during the day, of course, by night, families, couples, and singles congregated around a warm fire. For Infinity, his 'fire buddies' were Twilight and Spike. He didn't mind that, but, he felt like he was at home when around those two. They didn't just treat him as a friend or just an ordinary house guest. Strange for him as it was, Infinity wasn't usually treat with such hospitality, mostly just caution. "Infinity." A voice called out, male, young, draconian. "Yes Spike?" Infinity turned his whole body to the side. "I made some hot chocolate and wanted to know if you might like some." Spike was asking with a small smile. Infinity looked out the window for a moment before standing to full attention. "Sure, why not?" Twilight was downstairs behind he usual desk, looking like she was reading. First time she was reading a book and not actually paying any mind to it. Her thoughts were elsewhere at the moment, thinking about different things. Well, more focused on a certain somepony that has been hanging around for the past months. Whom as which wasn't slacking either, Her thoughts have been consumed recently by this pony. He was making his own money and putting most of it towards the library and keeping food around the place, even if nopony knew he was there. It seemed like he fit naturally in the world she knew, like a chameleon fitting into its surroundings. Nopony would have ever known he was there, or probably care for that matter. The way he reacted to her, as if he felt like she was a friend, certainly had the manners to prove that he wasn't nefarious in anyway. Well, that would be a cover-up to his true nature, if it was evil. But he always was willing to help out around the library, ready for any sort of work. Whether it be package fetching to moving stacks of books. He didn't seem like he was trying to prove anything though. Several thoughts have crossed her mind recently.... very.. sensual.. Twilight's train of thought was broken up by the sounds of Spike and Infinity descending the stairs. By some minor details, it seemed that Spike had come up with the conversation about mares, typical for a young male at his age. Of course, a sort of question seemed to catch her attention, and Infinity off guard. "So, any mares you got your eye on?" Spike asked, a wide grin as he looked up at Infinity. "Uhh.... I dunno..." Simple, but not very see-through. "Oh come on! I bet you've been looking at some earth ponies! I can see you with Applejack. Maybe a pegasus?" Spike shuddered for a moment. "Ehh... nevermind. Oh! What about a unicorn?" "I might've looked at one mare in particular..." Infinity admitted. "What's her name?" Spike nudged an elbow into Infinity's hip, not high enough to reach his side yet. Unfortunately, that was all Twilight heard before the two disappeared beyond the doorway to the kitchen. Going back to some actual reading of the book she decided to drag out. Even that didn't last too long as Infinity seemingly appeared out of nowhere with mugs in hand. "Hey Twilight, want some hot chocolate?" Infinity asked, drawing her attention "I thought you were with Spike?" A confused look on her face now, but accepting the mug. "I was, until he got mopey on me and started to munch down on doughnuts, mumbling something about... 'The most beautiful pony in existence'... or something along those lines." Infinity looked back at the kitchen. "Should someone stop him?" "I'm sure he'll be fine. Spike usually gets over 'her'." Twilight assured. "No name? Probably best that I don't know." Infinity shrugged, blew on his hot cocoa and took a sip. "So... um... if you don't mind me asking.." Twilight was working on the nerve to ask something. Infinity just looked at her with a raised brow. "Do you have anypony special you have to spend with Hearth's Warming Eve?" Infinity sighed and set the mug down. "Did you hear Spike and mine's conversation?" Twilight stiffened up in her seat, sweat beginning to form under her bangs. A sheepish smile formed as she shifted her eyes. "I told Spike that I did have a mare in mind, but I didn't give him a name." Infinity picked his mug back up and took another sip. "And besides, who would be interested in a dimension crossing psycho that can change his forms?" "You're not a psycho..." Twilight interjected. "Twilight, I talk to a sword, if that doesn't make me crazy then I don't know what." Infinity was looking at her now. Eyes blank in expression. She didn't say anything, at first, she thought he was a diamond dog, then proved himself to be far more appalling than any creature she has met before. In their silence, Twilight blew on her hot chocolate and took a small sip. A thought was forming and her mouth opened to say something. "IF it's one thing that confuses me, it's how you two treat me." Infinity commented. "How do we treat you?" Her questioned seemed simple, but wasn't meant to be asked. "Like I'm more than some all-powerful being that is treated with the usual caution. Time and time again, most beings I've met during my first entries always treated me with caution. You, not so much. I mean sure, at first you were cautious, but then became comfortable around me when I showed no intentions of actually hurting anyone." Twilight sat in a focused pose, listening to the facts he knew, but the secrets he didn't. "And yeah, I can use a whole new level of magic, but that doesn't derive from the fact that I am only a being like anyone else around here." Infinity paused. "....And the last of my kind..." "Infinity.." Twilight noticed his sudden change in tone and volume, ".... are you all right?" He just looked at her, sorrow filling his eyes. "No... I need to go outside for a bit..." Infinity put his mug down and went to retrieve his coat from the rack. His sudden leave even snapped Spike from his own daze as he noticed the distraught pegasus rush by. He carefully closed the half-empty box of doughnuts before leaving the kitchen and approaching Twilight. Whom of which was still staring at the door Infinity left out of. "Is he okay?" Spike asked. "I don't think so, but somepony has to talk to him." Twilight left the desk and Spike to the upper floors. Infinity stood out around the back of the library, staring off in the direction of the Everfree. He immediately dropped to his knees into the snow and started to punch the frozen droplets. The white blanket caved into his punches until he hit dirt. Tears started to stream down his face as he began to slow down. The darkness staining his fur, Twilight ran over and quickly enveloped the pegasus in a hug, holding his head close to her chest while rubbing it soothingly. Infinity's silent sobs were barely audible to anyone else in the immediate vicinity that would have been standing a few feet away. Only ones who were really at a close range would hear him, such a Twilight. "Shhh..." Twilight tried to comfort him, thinking that she'd never see a grown stallion cry like he. "It's all right. Just shhh.." "Why..." Infinity murmured. "Hm?" Twilight looked down at the form she had her arms around. "Why..." Infinity murmured in a more audible fashion. "Why did my kind have to go and destroy themselves!" His eyes were locked on the Everfree. "If I knew, I could answer that, but I don't." Twilight laid her head on his, tightening her embrace just a little. "I'll tell you why...." Infinity's voice changed slightly. "It's because we were so intelligent that we were stupid! We destroyed ourselves for our own gain! What could I do at the time though? I was only 5, too innocent, too..... young... to have even known what was happening." Infinity started to bury his face into her chest, hiding more of his tears. "That's... terrible..." Twilight rubbed his head even more, then helped him to his hooves, and made him look at her by his chin. "Come on, let's get you inside." She said with a soft smile. Infinity only sniffed and nodded his head silently, following Twilight back inside. Once inside, Infinity was only found in one place hours after his episode. Sitting in front of the fire. His head was tilted off to the side,a hand on his cheek, his index finger across his mouth, eyes locked on the flames embers. His cheeks were still stained by his dark tears. He was focused, on something, his mind locked, those memories of a wall heading straight for him. He had the world around him completely blocked out. A tap came to his shoulder. "Infinity, you okay?" A soft voice spoke into his ears. Infinity looked to find Twilight looking at him. "Oh.. yeah... for now." "That isn't a good enough answer mister." Twilight put her hands on her hips. "I'll be fine in a few hours.. promise." Infinity turned his attention back to the flames. His visage was soon consumed by the lavender mare, who placed herself directly in his lap. "Can I help you?" Infinity asked in a sarcastic manner. "I should be asking you that." Twilight stared back at him, her legs tucked off on either side of his. "I'm fine.. thanks." Infinity tried to look past the mare in his lap only to have his eyes forced to look at hers. There was something about them he never did figure, the way they seemed to sparkle at this very moment, now he could see it. It was something he never truly experienced himself. Yet, the name escaped him at this exact moment. Red eyes looking into a deep purple pair. "I think.." Twilight leaned closer in, her breath grazing his lips, ".. somepony just needs a little love." There! That word was all he was missing all his life! Infinity felt like he was melting into the chair as she forced him into a kiss. He wasn't sure how, but instead he resorted to pure instinct. And his instincts told him to kiss her back. His first, real kiss along with Twilight's was happening at this very moment. They both melted into it. "Sire, I have picking up an elevated BPM from you, are you all right?"' "Twi, Pinkie is here to-" Spike stopped in his track, eyes widened at the spectacle before him before hurrying back. "I'll just tell her you're both busy!" Their lips parted from the other, their eyes met again. Both were lidded as they stared. "You know, I can't possibly thank you enough for helping out around here." Twilight spoke softly "It's my pleasure... really.. not a problem." Infinity quickly replied, throwing his hands up. "I've been think about how to reward you... and I think I know how." "Really? How so?" Twilight slid off her top, Infinity's eye widening in the process. Sparks to a Fire Infinity's mind went blank at the sight before him. His eyes as wide as saucers as the mare in his lap stare at him with a sort of lust. Infinity was staring at Twilight's perky breasts, although they might have actually been bigger. A sort of lace bra kept them in place at the current moment. Smiling down at him, Twilight dropped her shirt to the floor beside the chair before putting her hands behind her back. Twilight fumbled with the fastened bra before sliding it completely of for his viewing pleasure. Lavender, mouth-watering mounds accented by a darker tint of purple for nipples. She reached for one of Infinity's hand and brought it up to one of breasts, letting him feel her in a way she'd never imagined. Infinity shifted his gaze to Twilight's deep amethyst eyes, the fire no longer interested him, but her chest did. Willingly, he accepted the breast into his palm, lightly kneading at it, felling her nipple harden against his pressure. His mind, nowhere to be found. His blood, going someplace else. Twilight started to grind her hips against Infinity's growing bulge. Locking her lips with his in an instant, pressing her chest further into his palm. Infinity's tongue shot into Twilight's mouth, exploring every nook and cranny, savoring her taste. Although the two wished for the moment to last indefinitely, the need to fill their lungs called first. A light moan escaping Twilight's lips as they parted, her disappointment was short lived when Infinity's second hand came in contact with her lonesome breast, enticing another moan from the mare. She smiled with a sultry look, her cheeks flushed an even darker red than before. Twilight left Infinity's lap, causing him to groan and wanting more of her contact. Slowly, she got on her knees, hands finding his pants, and undid them at her own pace. Once the zipper finally came down, the mare pulled the stallion's trousers down a centimeter at a time, her ever so watchful eyes on the pegasus in the chair. Finally having his pants pulled down to a point where his member bobbed out if its full glory. Twilight's eyes dilated as soon as she gazed at his length. She proceeded to to pull the pants in question down to the ankles of her pony that she desired. She was almost at a lost of words when she wrapped her hand around his base. "Infinity..." Twilight breathed out, leaning her face closer to the phallus. "Gotta love not wearing any underwear.... even when the job requires." Infinity smirked at his own words. Twilight didn't want to hesitate any more. Her tongue made way through her lips and tasted Infinity's hardened rod. A salty kind of taste was present, but it wasn't terrible either. She ran her tongue from the bottom to the tip, retracting her tongue back into her mouth. Without waiting another minute, and not allowing a certain somepony another word, Twilight's lips engulfed the tip of Infinity's dick. A low groan rumbled from his vocals as she continued to take more inch by inch. Trying not to rush herself too much, a slow pace was taken until Twilight felt like she was going to gag. Her tongue caressed the underside of the phallic object in her mouth. At least, what she could fit in her muzzle. A low, inaudible growl erupted from within Infinity. His hands clenching down on the arms of the chair from this new sensation. His teeth barred for a moment due to a pressure building. Twilight's head started the move around his member. Bobbing in a motion that was slow, a kind of pace she liked when trying something completely new. Infinity seemed to be enjoying it also now that he sunk a bit more into the chair as his eyes stayed lock onto Twilight's form. The pressure he felt kept building, and soon spread to his loins. He felt like he was on a sort of an edge she her movements starting to quicken and taking his cock deeper into her throat. "Tw-Twilight... I think something's about to happen..." Infinity spoke in broken breathes. Twilight simply nodded, bringing a hand to his balls and toying with them. This action enticed a moan from the stallion. The walls of his will were getting close to falling apart. The strains on him were wearing down on Infinity, reverting to a more natural state of mind. A sort of predator awakening within him that he hasn't experienced in a long while. Twilight found herself thrown on her bed, all clothing regarded in favor for a full view. Her mane a ruffed up mess, her legs spread at a certain angle, exposing her wet nethers to her new-found love. Infinity stood at the foot of Twilight's bed, his breathing changed to a more ragged panting, as if he were a dog left out in the summer sun. All Twilight did was smile up at him, those deep purple eyes silently telling him to fuck her. She was lost in her own little world, and Infinity was now apart of it. Infinity licked his lips. Twilight sat up a bit, spreading her legs wider. "Come and get it, wolf-boy." Her voice was decorated in want. That was all that he needed to hear before rushing onto the bed and looming over his prey. With a playful snarl, Infinity quickly locked his lips with Twilight's again that night. Almost night, the sun was setting but just barely peeking over the horizon. Twilight was giggling into the kiss, loving how he was now in a certain position of control. Once they both broke the kiss for a few moments to grab some air for their lungs, she placed a hand on Infinity's cheek and sighed happily. Her deep amethyst eyes locked with those deep ruby eyes he had possessed since he arrived. Now wasn't the time for memories though, it was their moment. Twilight lifted her head so her mouth was near his ear, in a hushed tone, she spoke. "Make me yours." As if she hadn't made herself sexy enough, that sure put her in that position now. Infinity nearly lost it. He held on though. Without another word, and an approving nod even though he didn't need it, Infinity carefully slid his throbbing member into Twilight's wet and accepting folds. Inch by inch he slid in, until he hit a bit of a snag: Twilight's hymen. Twilight wrapped a leg around Infinity's waist and shoved him in further. She felt a slight bit a pain and made it known with a small yelp. Tears were forming in her shut eyes, only to be opened to find Infinity's worried look. Slowly bringing his head down, she gave him a peck on the cheek to comfort him, then nuzzling the stallion to go on. Infinity pulled his cock out in a slow manner until the tip was just barely in, he slammed back into her pussy with a grunt. Twilight let out a loud moan in response. to the sudden penetration and force supplied by his hips. Either he was aiming for total annihilation of her tunnel, or she's over exaggerating the feeling that surged through her body. Infinity pulled slowly back again, tip barely in her, then slamming back into Twilight with more force than before. A louder moan escaped from her lips, back arching up from the bed. Each time Infinity pulled out just barely, he would slam his cock back in with more force. Each time he slammed himself back into her, Twilight's moans got louder. As she got louder, the closer she was getting to her climax. Twilight knew she had to hold on a bit longer, not only for herself, but for Infinity. He was in the process of pulling out again, leaving the tip in her love tunnel, then slamming back in and hitting home Twilight's orgasm hit her harder than she thought, she seemed to be yelling at her top of her lungs and probably would've been heard if it weren't for the howling also present in the room. The howling coming from Infinity, he had also hit his point and released torrent after torrent of his steaming seed into her womb. His climax must've affected him in a more natural form. Infinity collapsed on top of the unicorn, panting heavily with her. The sun had long set leaving stars to decorate the vast night sky that was in view outside the window. Twilight ran her hands through the tired stallion's mane. A light sigh escaping from deep within. "Best. Night. Ever. Totally worth it." She spoke softly, slowly drifting off to sleep, Infinity following closely behind. Eve of Interrogation The restaurant was packed, and not you normal packed, but fucking PACKED. Infinity gulped at the massive dinner get-togethers, he just so happened to be on waiter duty at that exact time too. There was atleast two others, but he was more worried about getting the food to the patrons instead of the bonus that came with the work load. Yes... Hearth's Warming Eve was tomorrow, but the ponies had decided now to celebrate due to some visiting family apparently, or so he concluded. Infinity hustled out of the kitchen sideways with a total of 10 platters. Three spread across each outstretched wing and two balanced on each forearm. The tables he waited on were perfectly aligned, lucky for him. Infinity passed by each table with a breeze, each platter placed in the center of their assigned table. "Job... done." Infinity patted his hands together, taking in a breath. His wings were now comfortably lain against his back as he headed back to the kitchen. A smile splayed on his face as he entered through the door. Infinity was about to get slammed with another round of orders until his ass was saved by one of his co-workers. "Figure ya needed a break." The waitress simply said, rushing out the door. "Thanks Souffle." Infinity gave a small wave then taking his place in a seat near the stove. "One question has always plagued my mind." The chef spoke up. "Hm?" Infinity just looked over at him. "Why is it that a pegasus is working at a restaurant instead of on the weather team?" "It's simple, really, more ponies to interact with and not just one or two days of work." Infinity explained, his wings rustled a bit. "Never figured a pegasus to be a social type." The chef commented, finishing up the last meal of the night. "What can I say? I love a good conversation." Infinity shrugged leaning back into the chair. "Order up, table thirty-six." The chef handed the plate to Infinity. He took it with a confused look. "Thirty-six? Isn't that an outdoor table?" "Yeah, I guess some fool wants to get sick." The chef started to clean up his station. It didn't take long for Infinity to stride out of the kitchen and into the now half-empty dining room, it wasn't that late yet, if he was lucky, Twilight might still be up to welcome him back. As soon as he felt the cold winter air hit his face, the atmosphere changed. The occupant of the the table he was supposed to deliver to, was simply reading a newspaper, their face hidden from view. Infinity felt a sort of chill go up his spine, and not from the cold. The snow crunched beneath his steps, getting closer to the table. The pony reading the paper had his or her hands shown, an unsettling black coat that seemed to move covered them. Infinity set the plate on the table and got out a note pad and quill. "Will there be anything else you need?" Infinity asked, looking at the pony. "No," The voice spoke. "Voice pattern analysed; pony, male, a layer is present on the original voice is strongly present. Recommend caution." Edge went off inside Infinity's head. "But you can help me." The stallion spoke again. "Not on work hours, sorry." Infinity quickly put away his pad and quill and was about to head back inside. "I just need directions, looking for a lost friend is all..." The paper came to a close, revealing the stallion's pupil-less, yellow eyes. "Male, probably pale in color, probably not from around here." Infinity looked at the stallion, "Sorry sir, but I haven't seen this one nor met him, please, have a nice evening and enjoy your meal." Infinity was well on his way to the library for the night. After he had made several stops at some late-night stalls for any last-minute purchases, he shivered in his winter coat, a bag safely tucked within the jacket. Thankfully, his current train of thought was interrupted by the sight of the library light still on. With a smile, Infinity head for the door, hoping he could finally get out of this cold. "Sorry, but the library is closed for the night. You'll have to leave." Twilight seemed to be busy with her face in a book, typical. "I thought it was always open for a regular." Infinity quipped with his smile. "Well, in that case..." Twilight looked up with a smile, "... I don't suppose you have any checked out books that are late, hm?" "Lucky for me.. no." Infinity smiled at the mare, now face to face with her. "Aww... that's too bad, I was hoping to have you pay some late fees." Twilight patted his cheek and began he ascension upstairs. "Tease." Infinity muttered. "What was that?" Twilight called down "I'll be up in a moment!" Infinity called out, "I just gotta get these wrapped up." The morning sun bled through the window. No doubt the cold wasn't affected, and certainly eh snow wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Infinity was lying awake, not that he didn't want his sleep anyway, with Twilight cuddling up to him for some extra warmth. Not that the blanket wasn't warm enough. Twilight began to stir against him, letting out a cute little yawn before murmuring something. "Hm?" "Could you go get some breakfast?" Twilight whispered again, Infinity picking up on it. "Ah.. okay, sure. Just lemme shimmy on outta bed." Infinity smirked. He knew Twilight wouldn't let go without a fight. It didn't take Infinity long to win the fight with the tired unicorn, get dressed and head downstairs. There was a certain change in the air now, one he couldn't quite describe. The feeling was shrugged off quickly, and Infinity's hand reached for the door handle. An electrical shock shot through Infinity's body. A loud thunk that rang through the library woke Twilight up. She raced down the stairs in a moment's notice to find scorch marks on the floor that lead to an unconscious Infinity. As she wen to investigate, an audible inhale came from Infinity, his wings flared out from his back, and he tried to push himself into the centerpiece further. "What happened?" He asked, not fully aware that Twilight had made her way down yet. "I should be asking you the same thing." Twilight looked as if she was thinking, observing the scorch marks. "I thought you were still asleep." He pointed out, standing up and brushing himself off of dust that didn't exist. "And I thought you were going to get breakfast!" Twilight shot back "Well, apparently your door doesn't like me!" Infinity pulled off a fake pout, folding his arms. "Impossible. A door doesn't have feelings." Twilight looked over at Infinity with an unnamed look, "But since it's just you, I'll let it pass." "OH you're so mean." Infinity chuckled. "I think someone or something enchanted that door." "How can you tell?" Twilight looked back. "OH, it's not like to electrocuted me then sent me flying half way across the library." Infinity replied sarcastically. Twilight reached a hand out to the door handle, before making contact, her hand was swiped away by Infinity's. Her eyes shifted to Infinity's face. His face looked serious as he shook his head lightly towards her. A silent argument was going on between the two as daggers were being passed back and forth.Twilight eventually rolled her eyes and reached for the door quickly, her hand wrapping around the handle and swiftly opening the door. A smug grin on her face as she looked at Infinity. Infinity was paying more attention to the field in the frame than the fact Twilight had opened the door. Twilight's victory grin quickly dropped as she found a white-furred finger pointing towards the door. Her mouth dropped open at the yellow magic present in the door she just opened. Infinity silently approached the yellow field, touching it with a finger. It felt tingle-y, changing at the most. His hand sunk through the field, the yellow tint becoming transparent revealing his hand again, only it the state he was originally found in. Infinity quickly retracted his hand. "Obviously it was meant to keep me inside... Twilight, I may need your help." "What? Why?!" You're a unicorn, you can use more magic than I can at this moment, and I can't do anything about this field." Infinity pointed out, a few sparks flying off his hand. "The best I could do is summon... probably." "Probably?" Twilight looked dumbfounded. "I have to fit in, so, I sacrifice my main magical abilities for those of a standard pegasi, which in turn, I can't defend myself properly unless I revert back to my original form. You know, the form you nearly bashed in a statue?" Twilight blushed a little a smile sheepishly. "What I would like for you to do is to overload this field, which will either; A, cause it to dissolve; B, cause the field to explode,, or; C, do nothing to it at all." "You have a very weird way of looking at things, don't you?" Twilight had her head cocked off to the side. "Indeed I do." Infinity replied with a smile. Twilight shrugged slightly, but was a bit hesitant to stand in front of Infinity. She didn't really feel comfortable with the possibility of this sort of magic blowing up in their faces. Well, probably more hers than his. Nonetheless, Infinity probably didn't want to stay cooped up in the library again. Twilight took a deep breath and concentrated, her horn flared up in a magenta hue. By instinct, she threw her hands in front of her body and a blast burst forth from her horn. Her magic collided with the field for a short time before before fading away. They both stood in silence, eyes on the field that still stood in the doorway. A few minutes passed by, the field still stood. Infinity threw his hands up in anger a stormed off up the stairs. Twilight stood still in her place, her eyes watching the field falter, then fall to the floor like a blanket before disappearing. from existence. Twilight was about to jump up into the air and shout, but was interrupted by two guards entering the library with questionable looks about their faces. "What can I do for you gentlecolts today?" Twilight asked, brushing back a strand of rogue hair away and tucked it behind her ear. "We were informed that a pegasus might live here?" One of the guards spoke. "White fur, possibly a stallion. Know any?" The other asked. "Let me think..." Twilight put on her best, fake thinking face. "Hey Twi-" Infinity stopped at the foot of the stairs, his eyes gazing at the two guards in the library. "Hello... gentlemen." "Halt, by order of the crown, you are hereby under arrest." They both said in unison, apprehending the pegasus. "What did you do?!" Twilight hissed in a hushed manner. Infinity shrugged before speaking, "And what charges are for my arrest?" "For an attempted assassination of Princess Celestia." One spoke as the tugged him out the door. "Hold it!" Twilight shouted, stopping the guards and causing them to look at her, "What evidence do you have to his accusal?" "There was a single white feather found at the scene along with a blade." "Where does she live?" Infinity asked. "Canterlot. Where else?" The other looked at Infinity, an eyebrow raised. "Let's just say that I'm not from around these parts. So, I wouldn't know where this 'city' was exactly." Infinity stated. "Where do you think Canterlot lies?" Infinity simply nodded his head west, the guards looked at eachother. "Regardless, you must be taken in for questioning by her majesty!" They both lugged Infinity off, Leaving Twilight to go slam the door and go on a frantic search. In Canterlot Infinity sat alone, in a dungeon, on a rather uncomfortable wooden chair. He was naked, he was beat, and worst of all, he could've sworn he had splinters sticking into his ass cheeks. A rather large looking guard was trying to interrogate the poor pony, using any means necessary to get what he wanted. It wasn't much though, just sarcastic remarks from Infinity. The door opened across from where he was sitting, but he smiled before looking up. "Is the little man comin' in for more insults?" Infinity asked, he smile faded as soon as he looked up. Before him stood a mare taller than Twilight and himself, even though Infinity was slightly taller than Twilight. She had a calm likeness about her, a mane the seemed to flow even with no breeze, although the dungeon he was in has a slight draft, maybe because he was naked also. This mare had wings and a horn, which he had to assume that was a rare occurrence considering the amount to wings, horns and neither in the society he lived in currently. She was taking slow, pacing steps towards him, then circling around the chair several times before leaning down. Her eyes came to level with his. This winged unicorn or horned pegasus, whatever the name was, it was escaping Infinity's mind, stared. Eyes shifted from one of Infinity's to the other, then stood to a full attention. "Whoever you are, you can't simply be the assassin that attempted to murder me." Her tone seemed serious, but neither angry, happy, nor sad. "What, why? I thought you're guards were looking for a white pegasus stallion." Infinity spoke up. "The perpetrator had yellow eyes, you have red, There must be a mistake." "Y-yellow you say?" Infinity asked, his eyes widening. "Do you know of this pony?" "Let's just say that this perp, well, isn't from around these parts. Quite frankly, neither am I." Infinity put on a sheepish smile, know exactly what he meant. "Then how do you know this... assassin?" "Let's just say that we go back a ways. Say, five years." Infinity looked down for a moment. "So you two are.. friends?" "No, we were never friends. Just that were aware of each other up to a point we never saw one another." Infinity looked back up, the mare was staring at him in a suspicious manner. "Well then, I guess you're free to go." "Just like that? I'm good to leave this place and that's all I needed?" Infinity was confused now. "Well, it is Hearth's Warming Eve, and as I understand it, you are currently living with my most faithful student." Infinity just stared at this mare, his mouth agape. All she did was smile back at him. "I'll see to it that somepony gets to clothed again and sees you out, I'll meet you out front." With that said, she left the seemingly colder room. "What?" Infinity asked himself. Infinity was finally dressed appropriately again and being escorted down one the castle's many corridors. The trek was silent, but as long as he didn't have to interact with any of the guards, he was fine. Although, he did admire what he could of the castle's interior before he left. What a structure it was to him. He grinned and waved at the guard who beat him with his 'interrogation'. The guard only snorted and looked away from Infinity with disappointment. Sure, he'd have a black eye for a week, but at least he was finally getting out of that dreary, old dungeon that was probably older than the castle he was walking in. As the queen had said, and he did finally put two and two together, her stature, the rarity in her genetics, and the golden tiara-crown-thing that sat above her horn, kept her word and really did meet her 'prisoner' outside. She stood with a small smile, hands tucked behind her back, and in front of a carriage with two pegasi guard ponies tugging it along. The carriage itself looked ornate, fit for someone of the princess' stature., gold trimming and a picture of a sun on the door. "I take it that I'm not really heading back alone, am I?" Infinity asked, bowing by sticking his left foot to the bottom of right at a 90 degree angle and bent down at his waist line. "I would appreciate it if you could accompany me for the journey, since I am head to Ponyville to see my pupil." The queen spoke with sincerity, certainly a pleasant aspect for a ruler. "As you wish, your majesty." Infinity smiled on the inside as well as the outside, knowing his own manners for royalty very well. "Please, Princess or Celestia is just fine." Infinity looked up confused, the princess had the carriage door opened and was already stepping inside. "Princess? I thought you were a queen at least." "Queen is a bit malicious here in Equestria." Infinity took a seat across from Celestia, he nodded slight mouthing a silent 'oh.' "Are you and my student... hmm?" "I'm Sorry?" Infinity asked, tilting a ear in her direction. "Twilight and you, both of you... ahem... mates?" Infinity nearly dropped to the floor, but considered how she had started acting towards him after that night and how he acted to her. "I guess you could say that we share a sort of relationship.. She's a nice girl, very considerate sometimes." "Sometimes?" "There are times where she will forget there's anyone else in the world while she studies. So I just go and put something out of place and see how long it takes her to notice." Infinity smiled at the numerous times he had to pull that off to get Twilight to eat. "Like a sort of prank." "Yeah, sort of, but I do it to remind her that she does need to eat every once in while when she has been studying for hours on end. Although, she has been studying at a more.. reasonable.. rate nowadays." Infinity gestured towards something that didn't exist. "I see, she's very studious." "You don't have to tell me, I think I startled her the first time we met, I mean, she nearly took me out with a stat- erm!" Infinity stopped near the end, his mouth immediately latching shut. "What was that last part?" "Nothing!" Infinity blurted out before his hands latched to his muzzle, shutting his mouth for good. "Did I just yell at royalty?!" Celestia just nodded and started to relax a little, she didn't find that Infinity could pose any threat, at the moment, but sometimes being prepared helps. A lesson she found out through the years. Infinity slid down into his seat, his ears falling just below the top cushion's edge. His cheeks, the ones on his face, felt like they were on fire. For all he knew, they might literally catch fire, something that has happened only once in his life. The total flight only took roughly an hour, either the distance was shorter going out rather than coming in, or these were some efficient guards that could fly. It didn't matter to Infinity right now., all that did matter is that they arrived at the library and he was going to let Twilight know that he was all right. Of course, Infinity couldn't help but be a gentleman spite his current looks. He stepped out of the carriage before Celestia and 'helped' the princess out. Infinity only got a few steps away from the carriage before the library's door flew open, a certain lavender mare came running out, and tackled Infinity to the ground in an amorous hug. She had also looked like that she'd been crying just a few hours ago. "Sheesh Twi, I was only gone for a few hours and you're already crying?" Infinity asked before wrapping his arms around Twilight's midsection, returning the hug. "I might have never gotten to see you again!" Twilight wail into Infinity's shirt. "And yet we have company, this is how you present your pretty lil self?" Infinity smiled. "We d- ohmigosh! What happened to you?!" Twilight gasped at Infinity's current bruised state. "One of my guards took it upon themselves to interrogate him their way instead of by my orders." Celestia spoke up. Twilight quickly got up from Infinity and bowed before her mentor, a blush rampant through her cheeks. Hearth Warming's BrawlThat late morning on this chilly Hearth's Warming day was filled with happiness. Not even Infinity couldn't sport a grimace when he was now sitting in front of warm fire, cuddling up with his love with a blanket draped around their shoulders, watching a certain little draconian run about dressed as Santa Hooves, or some sort of pony of that manner. The way Spike was dressed reminded him of a world he once visited where, well, that's a story for another time. Then a knock came to the library's door, causing Twilight to look towards the stairwell to the main room. "Who in their right mind would be here on a day like today?" Twilight asked, looking back to her pegasus. "Besides you? I dunno... I'm prone to having strange habits." Infinity replied with sarcasm "Oh ha ha, you're very funny" Twilight waved a hand at him. "Fine, I'll go get the door, but first.." Infinity gave Twilight a quick peck before hopping off the couch. He made quick way to the stairs and descended them quickly. A swift dance across the library floor, and to the door. A quick open later and an almost complete holiday greeting. A fist, came through the frame, connecting to Infinity's jaw and sending him a few steps away from the door. "Well howdy do to you too, shit-for-brains!" Infinity acknowledged his assailant. "Last time I saw you was yesterday, possibly afternoon. When you had decided to tie me to a chair, tried to humiliate me." "Yes and I haven't gotten to repay you for making my subordinates laugh at me." The off-duty guard walked in, cracking his knuckles. "You brought that upon yourself and you know it!" Unaware to the two, they neglected to notice the two pairs of eyes now peering around the corner to observe the fight, but a certain unicorn couldn't stand to have her love fight alone. Twilight rushed out and performed a magical blast that was instantly deflected by the guard. "Damn, I didn't know that your marefriend here was a unicorn also. Too bad she gets to watch your face get busted up again." The guard gloated, his yellow aura fading from his horn. Shortly after he took a proud pose, Infinity took the chance to hit back. His action happened in a blur. Pegasus speed, what a wonderful trait. One hard-headed being and one head-butt at the high speed is sure enough to knock the wind out of a pony. All this attack did was send the burly stallion out the door and into the snow. Infinity now stood in the doorway. "For a buffoon, you sure are a strong fuck." Infinity stated, earning a growl from the recovering guard. "My question is this: Why go through the trouble on your day-off from being a high-end guard just to track down a prisoner you got wrong in the first place?" "The plan faltered." The guard replied, "We weren't accounting for the Princess to wake up to see that important detail. We could've had you rotting away." "We?" "You're little pal that wormed his way into my thoughts, telling me that you're bad for the land of Equestria." The guard was at full attention now, his eyes had changed though. that same yellow glow from the earlier attack of the elemental. "And I will fulfill my duty!" "You must be insane to have let him give you power! You agreed to become his agent and now... now he controls you!" "Hah! You believe I'd let him control my thoughts?" Infinity clenched his fists, taking a few steps away from the door and slamming it shut. The guard charged a spell and threw it at Infinity. A loud boom shook the library followed by a density of smoke. There was a silence, the smoke still prominent, the guard starting to laugh. Laugh, laughing maniacally. "You should have asked your 'master' who Infinity really was..." "Huh?" The guard's victory was short lived, a scrap of shirt fluttering to the ground and setting in the snow. "Infinity is a name he knows all too well, who he really is, a Dimension Crosser." Infinity burst forth from the smoke in his original form. His wolf form. Rushing at the guard and clocking him in the jaw. The guard got up with wide eyes after being knocked on his ass for a second time, a single finger pointing at Infinity's direction. "You're... you're..." "Not a pony?" Infinity finished, taking a deep inhale. The guard got up and rushed at Infinity again, only to be slowed down by freezing winds. The winds originating from within Infinity's lungs. The temperature of guard dropping until he stopped, completely frozen in place. Infinity smirked a bit, knocking on the pony-cicle. "As a Crosser, I got trained to use the elements as weapons as well as defenses. Tell your master when spring comes around that he will not take over this world for as long as I set foot here." Infinity took a step away but stopped. "Oh and if you dare an attempt to attack me again, I may not be as merciful." Infinity picked up his shirt scraps around the snow, his pj pants somehow stayed in tact after the blast... After he had collected what was left of hist shirt. Damn shame that was his favorite shirt too. Upon re-entry to the library Twilight was staring at him along with Spike. "Is he going to be all right?" Spike blurted out, getting an elbow to the side of his head from Twilight. "He'll be fine when spring rolls around. I just gotta remove a few things out of his noggin before I leave." Infinity replied. "You're leaving?" Twilight asked that question. "I have to, but I'll be sure to come back, I don't know when, but I will come back. For you both." "I sure hope you do!" Spike yelled. "I will., but first..." Twilight looked at him with confusion as he headed upstairs. Her gaze shifted to Spike, who was looking back at her. They both just shrugged, but one had a burden. Infinity came back down with a small package. a wire protruded from the top with a tag that read the lavender unicorn's name. "A farewell gift, and it'll let you know when I return." Infinity gave a smile. "How?" "You'll find out..." Infinity leaned in and gave Twilight a final kiss, trying to make it as long as possible. The Door and The Sword"Hey, Edge, what's this door lead to?" A male voice asked to what seemed like noone in particular. ... "What do you mean you don't fucking know? You're supposed to know where all these doors go dammit!" ... "Out of all your owners, I'm the only one actually curious about this? Fan-fucking-tastic! Wanna see where it leads?" ... "Do you think your argument really matters anyway, Edge?" ... "Damn straight! Now let's go see where this door leads!" With a swift movement, the that owns the voice, shove a sword into a keyhole in the center of the door he was questioning. He stopped for a moment to look at the door on the right side of the door he was about to open. The neighboring door had cracks all over the wood, some were big and deeply embedded into the dark wood. "It's nothing, Edge. Ready to unlock this door?" The sentient being turned the sword to the left, hearing a pleasant clicking from within the confines of the door. Turn the hole back to its original position and removing the sword from it. A white furred hand with small curved claws wrapped around the handle, turning it slowly. A loud creak emitted from the hinges of the door as it opened into darkness. "My, what an adventure this is about to become." ... "Zip it, Edge, I know you're trying to protect me n' all, but that shit kinda gets old." ... "Fair enough, you know I only use my powers in case of emergencies, and when noone's around to look." With those final words, the creature sheathed his blade and leapt into the darkness, the wooden door slamming shut behind him. Before the creature could get an idea where he might have jumped into, he felt a falling sensation. The darkness around his turned into a blue color. Falling at a great speed that even he went through the clouds in his way. "SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-" He was cut off. Knocked into a fading conscious. The last things he heard before blacking out were the sounds of breaking glass, a loud thud, a female shriek, and the word "sire." "Sire?" The voice rang in his ears. Then, nothing.
The Unicorn and The Sword Twilight shrieked after witnessing her bedroom window collapse from some unidentified being that just landed. "Great..." the dog groaned as he left her room, "... she's forgot to put some underwear on."
Tea Party with The Sword Twilight woke up with a throbbing head, groaning out in pain.
"I'll help you when I get her to bed."
Trees that Talk"Dude, just what exactly did you use to get rid of that thing anyway?" Spike's voice came to Infinity's ears as he placed books on the shelf before him. "You mustn't be captured."
Time and Time Again"How long has it been? Days?
