"Now, partner!" Yosuke yelled.

"Persona!" Rikuto shouted, crushing the card and summoning one of his many Personas, Helel. Focused, Helel raised his arm to the air as holy judgement rained upon Ameno-sagiri, a gigantic eyeball, in the form of Morning Star.

The resulting explosion lit up the battlefield, as the gigantic eyeball collapsed, sinking into the sand somewhat, but not before some last words.

"I see," Ameno-sagiri said, "your powers are strong. Power comes from the heart...you have proven to me human potential.

"Very well, I will lift the fog from the place where you will return to, for mankind's desires are my desires. If mankind so wishes, I will return at any time...I am always at your side...watching."

"Well don't wait up!" Teddie, the bear-costume wearing Shadow replied. "We'll keep that from happening no matter what!"

"Time will show the path humanity takes...children of the new potential," Ameno-sagiri countered, before fading into fog, leaving behind a man, Tohru Adachi.

"You think it was controlling Adachi-san?" Chie inquired.

"Who can say?" Naoto replied. "I believe it was at least partially his own intention as well."

The party approached the fallen Adachi, who sighed. "So that's it, huh?" Adachi said before coughing.

Naoto gave nothing more than a simple "hm".

"Fine," Adachi said. "Live however you want...If you think...you have the power to change the future...then go right ahead..."

"Everyone has the power to do that," Yosuke stated.

Adachi laughed softly. "Get outta here," he ordered. "The Shadows will finish me off...Just leave me be...You came to kill me in the first place...didn't you?"

"No, dumbass," Kanji countered.

"If we leave you here dying...and a dead body eventually appears, then what? What's that accomplish for anyone?" Yosuke questioned.

"Closure," Rikuto stated.

"What the-?!" Yosuke said, shocked. "What the hell are you talking about?"

"We can't just bring him back, have him locked up for a few years, and have him be released to do as he pleases again," RIkuto explained. "If he gets back in the police force, and he gets his gun back?"

"...I didn't think of it that way," Yosuke said.

"Right, so we're leaving him here," Rikuto said.

Adachi laughed as hard as he could in his weakened state. "You're one screwed up kid, let me tell ya..."

"What the hell, senpai?!" Kanji snapped. "We're just stooping to his level!"

"Sometimes, you have to become fear to purge fear," Rikuto said. "Or however the quote went."

Everyone else was silent, other than Rise. "Senpai...are you sure?" she asked.

"I didn't come this far to have regrets," Rikuto said. "Let's go."

The party then walked off, not looking back.

Adachi just laughed. So this is how it would end. Kind of ironic. So much for "friendship" and "forgiveness". It's what he had coming, of course. Punishment, that is.

He continued to laugh, and laugh, and laugh, even as the Shadows came...

He felt his body being lifted, and...moving?

Soon enough, he found himself dropped off in a red and black area filled with fog, like a terrible original character that was filled with fog.

Energy somewhat restored, Adachi stood up slowly and shakily, looking around. "Hello?" he called out.

No response, of course. Just my luck, Adachi thought to himself.

Starting to walk, before feeling a sharp pain in his leg, Adachi winced in pain. "Damn it!" he yelled. "Must've fallen wrong...then again, there's not really a right way to fall."

Laughing at his own joke, Adachi gradually limped down the path he was on. Other than the occasional turn, there was literally nothing of interest within besides fog, for the first minute.

He then noticed the door in front of him, inches away from bumping into it. "Damn fog," he said out loud, "but what's this?"

He tapped the center of it, and it rotated, expanded, and repeated three times until the way was open. "Interesting," Adachi commented, before entering.

Inside, he found himself in a hub area of sorts. There was nothing but fog and... A strange figure?

"Hey, where am I?" Adachi said.

"You are in my domain," a voice replied. "Yomotsu Hirasaka, to be precise."

"That's a mouthful," Adachi muttered, before clearing his throat. "Who are you, then?"

The fog cleared somewhat, and revealed the figure.

       "I am Izanami," she greeted.

"Izanami? The one from the legends?" Adachi questioned.

"Indeed, child of man," Izanami confirmed.

"Well this is awkward," Adachi mumbled to himself, realizing how summoning Magatsu Izanagi would be disastrous. There were bigger fish to fry, however. "Anyway, let's cut to the chase," Adachi proposed; "Why did you bring me here?"

"Your role is not finished," Izanami explained. "You must spread the fog."

"So I get a do-over, then," Adachi said.

"Of sorts," Izanami replied. "However, it will not be the world you're familiar with. You have to bring fog to a new world, the very definition of harmony. You must give them their deepest desires."

"Sounds...interesting," Adachi said, gaining a devilish smirk. "Where do I start?"

"Now," Izanami said, fog returning, albeit thicker.

"Huh? What do you mean, now?" Adachi questioned, feeling lightheaded.

"Farewell," Izanami said, as Adachi lost consciousnes, while feeling his body lighten, as though he were transferring...
