//-------------------------------------------------------// Austin, The Different Unicorn -by Sugarsweet- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The sun descended over the land like myself, also descending over the land as I was held over the edge of a cliff by the hooves of his father. All the citizens of Canterlot gazed up at me, cheering, "Austin, the future prince!" in my honor. My heart lifted into my throat. My father, Scar Blaze, leaped over to me. He looked at me proudly. "You will be a fine king." He whispered, his eyes watering. He padded over to my mother, or his mate, Silver Blaze. They both smiled and even cried (tears of joy) a bit. I was released and the wind forced me down, roughly being scraped on the side of the cliff. My father had released my grasp as he coughed a bit collapsed to the surface or the cliff. I looked up helplessly at my father, my grasping hooves scraping at the rocky side of the cliff. Silver Blaze shreiked when she noticed that I had fallen. "Austin! My only son!" She yowled, and leaped down onto the rocky side of the cliff. She hopped from side to side, avoiding large rocks, heading my way. The whole crowd beneath us gasped in horror. I hit my horn as I fell on a rock. My mom's hooves landed on me, and I looked up. The poor soul was scraped up all over. She blinked a few times, sighed, and closed her eyes. The rocks that had been rolled around by our paw steps came tumbling down, the crowd scrambling away as a result. After all the dust faded away, and the rocks behind us had rolled off, Scar Blaze awoke, still coughing. He overcame his cough and leaped down to us. He looked down at me, and picked my up from my neck and ran up the rocky slope. He put me down on the surface. He saw that my back was crooked and I was walking funny, although he didn't seem to notice my horn had several scratches and bruises. He ran down to Silver Blaze. He pushed her hoof, which had been on my body defending me, with his muzzle. "Silver Blaze..." A tear shed from his eyes. He cried. He put his hooves on her back. "Come on, Silver, please cut it out," His eyes started watering insanely. Silver Blaze just lay still. She opened an eye for a second, but it slowly fluttered close again. Her ears drooped. Scar Blaze wailed aloud and ran up to me. Innocent eyes stared back at him.
