Insanity Spree
A New Mystery
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAn empty life that was filled with nothing but obscuring voids.
Twilight Sparkle had thought it, twice. Nothing but war, violence and death. Oh, how she regretted creating that portal, but nonetheless it was already too late.
Even the summoners had no idea what was happening.
She gave a solemn sigh and continued reading in the dreary room. The room itself was untidy, a complete contrast to Twilight's usual organized cottage. The lamp, which sat beside the wooden desk, was glowing a dim red, another sign that she didn't even mind to light it properly.
Her business was interrupted by the creaking sound of the door opening. She turned around, staring with blank eyes at the blond-haired lady.
She was clearly irritated at this interruption. "What do you want?"
"I don't want anything from you, Twilight. I'm only worried for you." Lux replied, placing her wand down. "Your studies. I don't find them appropriate for you. It's only been two weeks."
"You don't care about it." Twilight answered back coldly. To Lux, the reply was dreadful. With the whole party agreeing to stay out of the mental link for now, she was confused at what to do. She didn't want to break the rules, and she couldn't break the rules.
She left the room. Just like that. No any other replies or even an expression. Deep inside, she felt horrible to have acted like that in front of a newly-found friend. A friend like no other. A friend like her.
"Hey, Lux, are you daydreaming or something like that again?"
Lux came back to her senses after that flashback, fell off her seat, and landed head-first into the carpeted floor. After a few moments groaning, she finally managed to prop herself up, but not before crashing again thanks to Rainbow Dash, who laid just beside her.
"Rainbow Dash, that wasn't funny."
"Oh, I guess I dashed to the wrong room!"
With that, Rainbow helped herself up and rushed to the golden ornate door, forgetting to help her friend.
"So, are you still friends with her?"
Lux helped herself up and then took some seconds to fix her ruffled hair before staring daggers at the Noxian, who was holding his axe clumsily while giving an unusually happy look.
Twilight was utterly right. This is going to be a confusing world.
"Ugh, stupid, stupid, STUPID!"
As usual, Rarity was still not recovering from that uneven-pleats-and-horrible-looks for eight days, and Pinkie Pie was already babbling her complaints against it.
And this day is just getting worse.
"Rarity. Shut. Up."
"Oh, not this silk! This is the cloth I was talking about!"
Applejack couldn't take it anymore. She left the room furiously, not saying a word. Rainbow Dash was the second to leave before everyone started to file out.
Everyone was stressed out, and the next day is that they're going to Noxus to meet with someone who has power, and by the way Singed and Darius said it, didn't seem to be that nice.
Two weeks. For the sake of reality Celestia didn't want to believe it. So did her sister.
None of the Equestrians wanted to believe it. And now Discord has also disappeared.
As much as possible, the sisters attempted to act out everything. Celestia lied twice to the Royal Guards, just to make sure that Equestria wouldn't fall to the brink of insanity.
Cadance was also in full panic, even going in and out of Canterlot to check what was going on.
She nudged her tail back into position as she stared at the gloomy hallway of the Crystal Empire, her eyes focusing on the gate where so many guards had stood before. However, the palace was nothing more than an empty husk of a castle.
