A Dash of Confidence

   Rainbow Dash took a large sip of cider. She loved to drink cider when she was tired, bored, and any of the other stuff she's feeling but doesn't like. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

Ding!

   "Uh, who the hay are you?" Rainbow asked as she opened the door to an Earth pony. "And... how did you get up here? My house is a cloud, you know!" The Earth pony smiled. "My name is Madilla. I'm new here in Ponyville, and, oh, I used Pinkie Pie's balloon." Rainbow rolled her eyes, "That sure explains it. What do you want?"

   "A race!" Madilla smiled somewhat dirty at her thought. "I sure believe I could beat you, but if you're too scared we don't have to try." Rainbow laughed, causing a sneeze. "You believe you could--Achoo!--beat me? Ha! Likely story, Madilla."

   Madilla wouldn't give up. "You better race me, or I'll be your WORST NIGHTMARE!!" Rainbow gulped and nodded, quickly. "OK..."

   Madilla seemed quite convinced. She nodded and hopped back into the balloon, smiling. "Okie dokie, Rainbow Dash! Hope to see you race tomorrow!" Rainbow tried her best to fake a smile. "I hope to see you lose!" she whispered. And Rainbow knew she was going to win... didn't she?
