//-------------------------------------------------------// Cherry berry's google glass adventure -by Darkedge42- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter one: a mysterious package //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter one: a mysterious package Cherry Berry had a bland life, she couldn't really find anything to do most of the time unless it she was drinking ramune, it wasnt a glamorous life like her friends had but she was contemnt where she was, she had all the candy she would need and had a full fridge of drinks so a lack of supplies would never bother her. The doorbell rang "thats perculier, the door never rings during the week" she said as she stumbled towards the door. The door opened and there was nobody there, so Cherry Berry looked down and saw a package, she picked it up and walked inside. The box had some strange writing on it but regardless she ripped it open with her hooves and took out the contents, "these are some messed up glasses but ill try them anyway" she thought aloud with a confused tone to her voice. the glasses fit her snuggley and imediately it showed a menu on one side, "whoa this is some strange technology right here" she said as she walked back into her home sitting on the couch again.the couch had lost the groove of cherry's flank somewhat so it was a bit uncomfortable to sit back down but she dealt with it, she had a new toy to play with but from the corner of her eye she could see something, "urm... hello? is a-anyone there?" she spoke cautiously, it wasn't the first time she felt like this but the last time it was just lyra playing one of her dumb tricks and trying to scare her into thinking a human named Tescos was going to eat her when all ponies know Tescos wasn't real. as she looked round the room she quickly caught glimpses of these creatures, the long black claws on 6 long spindley legs, rough brown skin and spikey purple hair, this wasnt Tescos it was a new creature only visible through these glasses. "H-hello? are you a f-friend?" she asked the strange creature. to which it responded " that depends on your next move, will you keep me a secret?" "only if you aren't a threat to the ponies of this land" she exclaimed "dont you think if i wanted to destroy all you ponies i would have done so already since im noly visible through those goggles of yours" it replied " and im kreskan by the way, and im a guy" "i guess you seem harmless but why keep secret? im sure the princess would love you" she said "my kind was banished many many years ago and your princess was at the forefron of that banishment im sure she wouldn't have changed her mind" he explained as he dropped from the wall to the floor, sweat dropped from his cheek as Cherry Berry looked at him "well if you're gonna stay here can you clean up for me? could do with a good clean" she joked the, banter continued for about 3 hours before a light popped up on the google glass as she had found the name for it on the box when they were conversing, none the less she inspected the glow and it slowly faded into a red colour, suddenly panic flushed through her body and the feeling of her soul being disconected from her body resonated inside of her, she couldnt help but atempt to let out a squeel strangely with a lack of sound from her voice. its not often a feeling of pain and fear comes so strongly to a pony, her hoof clinged to her face as she fell to the ground, her head was aching and her heart was beating too fast, then suddenly everything went black, she woke up alone, the google glass had been placed by her side but something strange was happening, she was flying, an earth pony with powers and one of them is the ability to fly. she felt like a princess for all but five seconds until she noticed the lack of anyone around her, noone was there and noone could see her amazing feats of the impossible. she got up and left the house hoping a walk through the park would ease her worries. it didn't, she started sweating again but it wasn't as bad as before so she shrugged it off, her eyes were red and her hair was a mess. the grass felt slightly sharp under her hooves but it didnt bother her as much as how ill she felt.it was like a screaming in her head and when she reached to remove the google glass it wouldn't come off. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter two: stuck on rewind //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter two: stuck on rewind "it... it's stuck to me, i cant get it off" said cherry berry distraught at the knowledge that she couldnt remove the google glass from her head. "i wish i knew a phrase to describe the situation" she continued with an annoyed tone to her voice, "down the shitter" said a robotic voice from the google glass "one of many phrases you can use" "wait did you just talk?" said cherry berry, "do... do you have a mind of your own?" "yes i do cherry berry i am your google glass but i am fused to you head because i require your assistance with a matter of dire importance" exclaimed the voice "your world and many others are in danger from a currently un-detectable foe, a creature unknown to pony kind". cherry looked confused for a moment, "why havent you talked until now?" she asked "and why me? why not any other pony?" "please call me googie" said the google glass " and as for your questions, i'll explain them in due time but i chose you because i could sense great power, you may no be ablle to utilize it yet but soon very soon you will see what i mean". completely dazed by the whole experience cherry berry said "and you can call me CB", as she walked out of the house. while walking through the town CB would constantly feel like the other ponies were staring at googie as such she whispered,"hey, can you go invisible or something? so people dont stare", googie complied with her request and became invisible to any pony other than CB "thanks you're a life saver, and if what you say is true and i have to save a bunch of other worlds I soon will be" CB said as she calmed down slightly, then something caught her eye, a dark blue scalethat could easily be mistaken for a black scale, and it was just lying on the floor in front of her. before CB could reach to pick it up "don't touch it, the creature it comes from" googie paused between speaking " its scales secrete a fluid that is poisonous to ponies just through physical contact" but CB wasn't scared she took a plastic bag from her belongings and scooped up the scale as googie shot a beam at it, and just then, the scale was gone and the bag was empty, CB collected the bag and desposed of it for safety as she headed to the calm empty field outside of town. "if you would like an explanation on the laser, it was used to digitize the scale, that way i can examine it and give you more data regarding its genetic structure, as well as using it as a dna profiling machine" on the screen it showed the scale and a drop of the liquid in a split-screen setup, it displayed many figures and facts about both substances and slowly detailed a 3d model of the suposed creature it had come from. CB was shocked at what she had seen " that model was the creature i saw in my house attatched to my wall, its the one that put me in bed when i passed out" CB said as googie replied with "yes and i got recorded footage of the affair so we can stop this creature, it feeds on the atoms and molocules in everything im sure it will start with anything coloured blood red" "the apple orchard!" shouted CB as she blasted out of the field towards the apples farm, and there he was Kreskan, in all his maniacal glory, he opened his mouth and the apples disapeared, replaced by a waving purple pattern like a tear in space and time, and as he devoured the apples the tears grew and grew until Kreskan turned round, noticing CB he stopped what he was doing "you will thank me later" he said as he absorbed the atoms around CB blasting her to a world between worlds, a kind of void with nothing but white space and it continuously felt like she was falling, the world around her faded slowly to black as she continued to fall through this void, a light shone on her face every two minutes as she hit the ground with a soft thump, CB stood and brushed herself off and googie surveyed the area, the floor and walls all looked metal and there was a door to the front of them, CB reached out her hoof and grasped the doorknob, slowly twisting it as she pushed the doora white line shining on her face as the world around her disappears. her eyes opened and adjusted to the world around, her she rubbed her eyes and looked around. "where are we" both CB and Googie said in unison. Author's Note from this chapter onwards cherry berry will be reffered to as CB for time purposes and to make the overall fic less same-y, also i ship cherry berry and googie as my OTP :P //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter three: The old in the new //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter three: The old in the new CB blinked in disbelief, the town she once knew was now a bustling high tech city full of mostly earth ponies with very few pegasai and unicorns, the sky was shining bright and as sweat trickled through CB's coat she looked down. "what am i doing all the way up here?" shouted CB in dismay "im flying again" and just as those words trickled out of CB's lips the glow around her faded away and she plumeted to the soft grass. all the other ponies gasped as one earth pony in some sort of uniform stood forward "i would like you to come with me" said the stallion with an angry look on his face "we dont take kindly to higher magic users in our city" and just like that he reached out his forehoof for CB's foreleg, CB struggled and batted away the uniformed stallion and fled the scene as she was chased. she ran as fast as she could through the city her hooves bashing against the path and tough stone of the pavement twisting and turning through out the roads until she thought she was safe, then out of nowhere two other ponies rushed at CB, "we have you now newbie now just come along with me" they angrily shouted as she dodged all of thier kicks and attacks, she ran for her life and by this time her hooves were aching and it wasnt looking bright but she finally lost the group of uniformed ponies in an alley way, she looked up to see a door to the old rusty clock tower which was surprisingly on time and in working condition, she entered the door into the tower. "are you ok miss?" said a pegasus as he walked out of the back room of the building, "what happened? it sounds like you brought a tornado into the city" the pegasus giggled lightly "i was running from these people in uniform, turns out im a high magic user yet being an earth pony" CB replied "i could really use your help" she looked around and then back at the stallion, it was as if him alone was in sepiatone while the rest of the room and world was in full colour with the cutie mark of 2 gears and sparks from between them it was easy to tell he maintained the old clock, oiling and checking all the cogs and sprockets. "well isn't that a predicament, your'e free to stay here if you would like" explained the sepia stallion "the name's Gear Grinder by the way" "thanks" said CB with a smile "have you got a room where i can just be alone for a while?", Gear Grinder pointed towards a door with a hoof on the other side of the room and CB walked towards it "here take these it might help in the long run and plus i didn't need them anyway", gear gringer said as he fitted CB with a knapsack full of old gears and parts "im sure you have the mind in you to figure out what to do" he said as he winked to her jokingly, CB walk through the door and talked to Googie. "what are we going to do? where are we going to go if they find us? we are outcasts here and they hate us and we cant get out of here" asked cherry berry "its not like we can just create the void holes from nowhere" "well if it would calm you down allow me to explain all my data on me and kreskan for you" explained googie as a smiley face showed up on the eye-piece and CB had a shocked look on her face, "it all began when i was made in a factory in a whole other universe the person who made me took me home for more extensive testing when a blue light flashed before me and before i knew i was in box and on my way somewhere, then i ended up in your hoofs, as for kreskan the light gave me slight data, it seems he is being controlled, as for what by, i have no information on that" googie looked worried about CB "are you ok? i may be programmed but it doesn't stop me worrying about you" "i'm f-fine, its just wow" said CB as she laid out on the bed "i think i need to sleep so i can take in all that information" CB coiled up on the bed and slowly closed her eyes. her dream started and she was free of googie and there was no evil to be seen anywhere, then suddenly a purple and black smoke surronded her her eyes clouded and blinded, she would hear a tick tocking of a large clock and it would slowly distor into the sound of hard hoofsteps CB opened her eyes to see princess luna standing before her. Author's Note this one was a tough one to get written because i really wanna get into the meat of the story, all of which i have already planned out. cant wait to write even more //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Six: It all computes Part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Six: It all computes Part 2 the work was tiring and felt like it would never end, all the parts linked together like they should but that didn't mean it didnt take a long time to get everything together for the machine. CB wiped the sweat from her forehead and began to hum familiar tunes, it was taking alot of time to sort this contraption out but it would be worth it in the end if she could protect everyone. "i think this should work" said googie checking over their creation "now lets check if it works" CB pressed the button on the device and a tear opened before them, she then lifted the device onto her back and walked through, the next layer of the void looked the same but something was different. "ok well here we are what happens now?" asked CB looking at googies visor for a response "i mean we have nothing better to do than to just go at it and strike fast". "we walk, its an evil tyrant we are looking for so he must have an evil fortress" said googie with a slight giggle, they walked for what felt like 3 days, the void feeling more and more like an endless prison with no escape. suddenly darkness filled the void and a purple shadow like creature appeared in front of CB, its long forelegs reaching out. "So you are the one i have heard so much about, you will never stop me" the voice came from the shadow as it was laughing maniacally "but i think you are too much of a nuisance with that thing on your back" the shadow protuded from the ground and crushed the machine, shards of metal and circuitry fell into the knapsack and looked seemingly unusable, the shadow shrugged it off as many void hole openned around CB and finally underneath her, she fell through it for what felt like an hour until she hit a hars surface. "sweet celestia where are we?" CB opened her eyes and stood up, her hooves aching from the impact, suddenly she noticed she was surrounded by what seemed like alicorns, and there were at least 10 in this room alone, all strangely staring at CB their angry looks peirced through CB's heart like arrows, the air was cold and felt rough against CB's coat. "earth pony what do you want with us?" said the smallest of the alicorns, he was around 5 inches tall but still looked intimidating dispite his size, "something seems different with you, allow me to speak with you alone" and just as he said that all the other alicorns left the room, " my name is inch punch nice to meet you" he said with a smile. "i-i'm c-che-cherry b-berry" she shivvered and asked, "what is this place? where am i? what happened to equestria?" she stood tall and brushed herself off. "if i believe so you are from another world, let us call that equestria one, if that is the case then i shall call my world equestria galve" explained inch punch as a small tear slid down his cheek, "this... this world has been ravaged by millenia of war, first against the griffins then against all the seperate pony races, then they all turned on us, the alicorns were oppressed" CB lifted inch punch onto her head and walked to an empty room. It turns out inch punch was great with electronics because he instantly got to work fixing the machine, one problem was the base plate that all the electronics were attatched too was snapped and razor sharp, but inch punch made do with what he had and improved the device, to the shock of CB though inch punch had turned it into a blade, one able to cut into the void and create holes, during this time CB looked towards googie strangely he was whispering giberish and sparking up, the impact seemed to have made googie stop working properly, inch punch had a look, and with a few button presses googie was almost working. "i will turn him off for a while, he will automatically turn on in a few hours, once that happens he will be good as new" Inch Punch said as he hopped onto CBs head "the holes your blade makes remind me of one of our lost comrades, he was captured by the other races, but he was driven mad through grim and cruel torture, and through his madness his magic created a hole which he escaped through, he was kind but now he is just out to hurt people, but enough about him lets get you out of this world i shall accompany you." looking around they closed the door and started discussing tactics on what they should do next, getting prepared for the dangers ahead. Author's Note restructured the chapters so that this one will be longer. :) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter seven: dark trials //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter seven: dark trials CB put the blade into her mouth and slashed at the air, a hole into the void ripped open and wind started to rush into it. CCB and inch punch jumped into the hole and rushed forwards through the void until they both stopped. "ok whats our next move?" said Inch Punch as CB cut into the next void layer "I dont think grave dismay is that stupid to leave his fortress in just the second layer of the void, we have to go through to at least the tenth layer to find it." CB explained as they both jumped through and continued on, suddenly CB stopped Kreskan was standing right in front of her "You have returned then? so you are ready to face him?" said kreskan as he stood next to CB. "ready as i'll ever be i guess" CB said as she started running beside Kreskan, they broke through to Grave Dismays castle the walls were black in contrast to the voids white emptyness, though the walls looked like they were aged and dishevelled they were quite sturdy and very solid. the three of them rushed forwards and crashed through the door rendeing the dor into splinters, they ran through the winding paths of the castle until they came to a fork in the road, kreskan took the left path and CB and inch punch took the right path. ----Kreskans perspective---- kreskan ran down the path as purple goo creatures formed in front of him taking the form of CB. "imposter!, taking the form of my friend is not enough for you to best me" shouted kreskan clearly insulted by this goo monsters attempts to subdue him, rage filled his eyes as he rushed towards the monster only to be knocked back, kreskan dashed to the side and ran in for another attack only for the goo to avoid him kreskan slid across the floor his legs sharpening he dashed past the creature holding out his legs like two swords, the sharpness of his blade like legs splitting the creature into 3 parts, suddenly the crature reformed and kreskan looked shocked. suddenly the purple of the moster began to fade to grey, the monster jittered in pain and dispersed into a liquid puddle. "heh looks like i still have the poisonous touch" said kreskan victoriously as he rushed onwards ---- Cherry Berry and Inch Punches perspective ---- cherry berry skid into the room stopped by a purple goo creature, she sliced at it and it was split into multiple similarly sized goo monsters, rage built into her eyes ad the monsters formed into kreskans shape she held her blade to the sky and she span with it, causing the goo monsters to split into even smaller versions, they were both surrounded suddenly all that was visible was blurs of purple slashes and goo spraying everywhere, the monster showed signs of pain but was still able to move normally CB was getting tired, that last attack took alot out of her suddenly CB noticed some poison on her blade, Kreskan must have put some of his poison on the blade, suddenly the slimes quickly flowed into a grey liquidy mush. CB ran onwards back through the halls until they met up with kresken, they then ran through into the single hall and stopped in front of a big dark door. "this is the throne room, onwards is either untold pain or a victory beyond your wildest dreams" explained kreskan as he looked in case of danger. Author's Note another short chapter but i kinda thought that this was longer oh well, i got a pretty awesome battle scene out of it so im happy //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Nine: Sparks fly! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Nine: Sparks fly! CB slammed the blade into the floor and screamed out loud "HEY! GRAVE DISMAY YOU PIECE OF SHIT! PREPARE TO DIE". the blade dragged across the floor, sparks flew as friction caused the sword to glow red with heat, the blade swung through the air Grave Dismay narrowly dodging the blows, they both stopped as Grave Dismay flinched with pain he dropped to the floor. using his crouched position he pushed on his feet and pushed upwards on his feet using the force to push himself away. his horn glowed in a black aura as a barage of unicorn horn shaped spears thrusted towards cherry berry grazing her skin and causing her slight burns and making her wince in the pain. Grave Dismay laughed maniacally as he flung his arms into the air bringing the horns back in his direction, CB dodged them by a hair and the horns shot like bullets towards Grave Dismay one impailing him in the arm. "GAH! you pest you cannot hope to kill me, the pain you cause me only fuels my blood lust and rage" Grave Dismay screamed as his speach deteriorated into roars and growls sounding feral and full of anger. he pulled the magic horn out of his arm and shattered it with his hands then suddenly leaped into the air using his magic to give himself dual swords, which he thrusted forwards screaming, snorting and growling. he charged forwards like an animal jumping in the air and spinning with his blades in a slashing motion. CB held up her blade in defence ready for the incoming strike. the blades clashed, the overwhelming force pushed her back til she was pinned at the wall in a stalematee of blades clashing. suddenly slashes and strikes faded in and out of existance like a blur sparks flying from the friction. the strikes became more frequent and started pushing Grave Dismay back and soon a clash sent them both flying in different directions. "he looks wounded aim for the leg" said googie pointing it out on his screen. "ok lets do this" shouted CB as she placed her sword in her other hand and ran towards Grave Dismay. they clashed as Grave Dismay attempted to protect his injured leg, suddenly CBs vision faded to black, she could see all her friends and they were motioning her to go to them, but as he moved towards them they all seemed further away. monsters with razor sharp tendrils would swoop down and carry them away crushing them in thier grip, the blood slowly filling the room with a stench of raw flesh and a slowly growing layer of liquid, the more she ran the more the room would fill and fill until CB was swimming in pony skin blood and meat, a strange 2 legged siluette appeared and started growing larger and larger until CB was no bigger than an ice cube, the room started to shake and tip slowly pouring into the creatures gaping mouth steadily sending CB down its throut and into it boiling stomach, but just as she was about to hit the acidic stomach fliuds she stopped in mid-air. "this cant be real, im better than this" she thought to herself as she closed her eyes only to be greeted by a sword cut on her arm. she thought she felt something in the flurry of strikes but didn't expect anything like this. then she noticed something, Grave dismay was breathing heavier than before the poison from the scale was effecting him suddenly his skin started to fade to white and loosten on his body as a larger tougher alicorn arose from the sheddings screaming in what seamed like a mixture of pain and rage. green blood flowing from the skin as Grave Dismay kicked it to towards CB as she picked it up tearing the skin from the horn off and wearing the skin as a cloak. "we both have nothing to lose now so im going to end your life" said CB trying to stay as calm as she could. blades started clashing again as Grave dismay sliced right through CB yet only the cloak hit the ground. Grave dismay looked up to see CB slashing downwards with her blade, he caught the blade on his cheek giving him a scar and he brought his sword up blocking her blade from going any further. CB smiled and turned his blade, Grave dismay caught wind of what she was doing and slid back the back of his head hitting the wall causing his energy blades dissipate. as CB charged towards him he skid out of the way bringing his hoof up and bashing her in the face, his raw physical strength was far beyond what CB could imagine as she flew back as her sword stuck to the ceiling. Grave dismay attempted to break the sword with his magic but nothing would happen, his horn had broken in half and his magic was no more. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!" screamed Grave Dismay as he picked CB up by the leg and tossed her aside. his anger only growing as the fight continues he stomped over to CB and kicked her towards the other side of the room. CB attempted to pull herself up the force of Grave Dismays stomps causing her to jump to her hooves, using this opertunity she pushed from the floor and spun in the air reaching her bac leg out and slamming it hard against the side of Grave Dismays face causing him to fly towards the throne crumbling it to pieces. CB looked up to see cracks in the ceiling around her sword loostening the ceilings grip on it. Grave Dismay had reached a new level of anger causing him to mutate into a being misjumbled in nature a chimeric monstrocity with near limitless potential its long slithery body sliding against the floor until it slammed a giant ape like fist down on the ground sending CB towards the ceiling. CB reached out her hands grasping the handle of the blade and causing it to slip from the crack. the force from the punch sending her into the air quickly turned into an equally powerful gravitational force as she plummeted the blade down and straight through Grave Dismays skull, this time causing red blood to escape his flesh. suddenly the castle was crumbling "we can save him, let me digitize him like i did his scales" said googie as a blue beam shot from him and hit kreskan absorbing him in his entirity into googies databanks. "lets get out of here" shouted CB as she cut one last void hole sending her to a familiar setting, she was home. googie shot from CBs head unbonding them from each other. "i-i'm m-m-malfun-functioning i have no real data on kreskans species so when he comes back out there is no telling what he will be all i know is that he will retain all his memories. sparks flew from googie in a rainbow of different colours lazers shot around the place and lights blasted in all directions suddenly a lazer catches on a mirror and shoots into the sky into a prism in the cloudsdale town center causing light to glow over all of the pegasai. another lazer shot from googie and hit the floor as a light purple maned brown pegasus arose from the beam. "what h-happened i thought i was dead and w-why am i a pony?" said the newly revived and transformed Kreskan. "we... googie saved you and we beat Grave dismay you are a pegasus because of a malfunction but i think its better this way you are alot more handsome" said CB with a little giggle "but Kreskan isn't a verry pony-like name so how bout we name you after what slayed the evil beast, i think we shouldd call you Void Blade, ooh and you're a blank flank too so you should go out and find you're special talent". CB looked out of the window as Void Blade flew away towards canterlot, then suddenly googie started making strange electrical noises his programming upgrading as he was flung into a portal to another world or even another time. googies last words being "dont worry about me, live your life and never forget". a few weeks later CB recieved a letter in the mail from Void Blade and it read Dear Cherry Berry, thank you for all you have done for me, i would never have dreamed my life would turn out this way, turns out you ponies have a knack for choosing names to suit the cutie mark turns out im a briliant blacksmith and im now working at the castle making swords for the guardsmen. i never would have been here if it wasn't for you and googie, how is he anyway? hope you ae doing well i would have written sooner but i have been a bit caught up with work, 2000 guards aren't gonna arm themselves, especially when the other blacksmith was on vacation for the last month. you should come visit me some time or maybe when i am free we can go for a drink at the smoothie shop and get something to eat, still not used to this pony diet though, hay and oats for almost every meal? it baffles me sometimes though it is bloody tasty. from your friend, Void Blade as CB looked down at the letter a tear dropped onto the page, she got up and walked over to her dusty old writing desk and began her reply with a smile. YAY!!!!!!!!!! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter four: White space layered //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter four: White space layered lunas mouth opened but before sh could speak CB butt in saying "oh princess am i glad to see you something really bad is happening i cant get back to the real ponyville and everything is going wrong" luna looked concerned but smiled through it, she knew the situation but also knew that CB would have to go through it on her own else risk everything rushing to her too fast so she couldn't apprehend any of it. "it is ok my dear subject i shall assist you in your pursuit, i was informed of your predicament when i recieved a letter from the local mail mare" smiled luna as she moved closer to CB "i heard about this creature and its strange ability but now im more informed i shall help you, the way to deal with this situation is to stop it at the source that means defeating whatever foul being is controlling that Kreskan creature, but i have a feeling you are not yet ready for any more information, i am sure there will be a time when you figure all of this out." "thank you princess this has at least calmed me down a bit i know i can save everypony and once i have i'll be able to have a nice rest at home" replied CB with a worried smile "but for now i have to concentrate and find my way through this" and then suddenly she was shook awake by the ground, she ran outside where all the other ponies were staring at kreskan standing above someponies house, CB jumped into action literally and landed in front of kreskan just as he went to send her into the void she grabbed one of his spiny legs drops of red dripped from her hoof as she gripped hard onto kreskans sharp appendage and pulled tight dragging kreskan into the white smoky void with her, the fall hurt more than normally due to kreskans skin being poisonous to ponies but CB didn't seem to care, she had finally got hold of him and she could finally confront kreskan for all he has done. "now! i want you to explain all of this and i wont take no for an answer" CB had never been this angry before but she was determined to get to the bottom of this no matter what kreskan looked down at CBs hoof and dropped a small bottle of ointment before her, the bottle was small and it looked like it would do more harm than good but CB had a feeling that kreskan wouldn't purposely attempt to kill her. "fine i'll tell you everything but you have to promise me you'll help me be free of this depressing burden i have" said kreskan as a tear dripped from his eye and CB used the ointment which healed her instantly "the truth is that i am linked to a being known as Grave Dismay a creature i am yet to have seen, he is from one of these dimensions yet he lives in a world stiuated within many layers of the void, which sadly i am unable to travel any deeper into the void on my own." "i understand kreskan and you can count on me, but first in need to find some more information do i understand all of this can you point me in the right direction?" said CB as she smiled to kreskan. "i can but we have to walk for a bit to get there, its at the other side of this void plain" kreskan explained as they both stood up, CB still in a bit of pain slowly started limping beside kreskan, the more they walked the less pain either of them felt, CB could tell from just looking at kreskan that one of the dimensions he travelled to had taken its toll on him, his scales looked cracked and slightly broken, and his blood was still dripping out occasionally, they walked silently and awkwardly for a few hours, both relatively enept with starting or continuing conversation, kreskan stopped. "here we are, i will go on ahead to the next dimention when you are done here you will know everything and your eyeglass friend will know what to do" and with that a tear openned in front of them both, CB jumped in and shouted "See you soon!". CB landed on a metal floor in front of a spherical building black in colour with blue laser type lights striped over the sphere, strangely enough there was no other ponies or any creatures around. CB walked inside looking around it was overwhelming how beautiful it looked inside there. "googie are you ok? you have been silent for a while" CB said with a worried tone to her voice, she was beginning to limp again but not as severely as before. "i'm fine, i just feel a bit of dejavu around here, i cant seem to thin why" googie replied feeling a bit confused at what he was seeing, "lets just keep going theres a door over there, hopefully we han get you feeling better soon" they both reached the door and it opened in a flash of light. Author's Note the real meat of the story comes soon, and watch out for a reference or two in some of these chapters ;D if you point it out you win all the internets :3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter five: It all computes part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter five: It all computes part 1 CB entered the room but before she could get a look the lights cut out, all that was visable was a red button flashing on a counter. "lets try it, worth a press at least" CB said as she pusshed the button, the button cycled through colours and eventually screens all over the room came online, all displaying the same text, "ive been waiting for this time", it looked a bit creepy but at the same time familiar to googie but he couldn't fully understand why. CB couldn't feel the wind inside but she still shivered, the metal walls felt cold. "I am the knowledge base" said a voice that sounded like it came from all of the monitors at once "you the only lifeform in this world may ask me three questions" "ok first question" CB asked with a slight agressive undertone, "i have travelled to the void many times but i would like to know, how am i to travel into the deeper layers of the void?" the voice replied with "your pack of parts and your little friend are the answers, i have sent him all the data he needs" just as he said that blueprints appeared on googies screen and he was amazed, looking it over he decided that they would build it when they next travel into the void. "good, now second question," CB said feeling a little less agressive "what exactly happens when kreskan absorbs these things?" "kreskan, his absorbtion takes parts of the world and sends them into a much deeper layer of the void, but in turn replaces that item with a piece of the void" the voice exclaimed "and thirdly" CB was starting to sound upset now trying to hold back her tears "how do i stop all of this from happening? i cant deal with all this preasure on me saving these worlds, how am i who was a lazy slob almost 3 or 4 days ago, going to save billions upon billions of lives in an infinite number of different worlds." CB started crying and the machine said "i have seen many things and many beings but i can tell you i have had faith in all of them and thier abilities, and you will learn what you need to do when the time comes" CB wiped her tears and walked over to the closest screen, "i shall now send you back into the void, it is there which you can only find your way" a flash of light filled the room, CB and googie found themselves in the void and following the machines instructions they got to work on this machine. Author's Note this whole chapter is a BIG gaming reference, if you get the one I'm thinking of you win all the internets! ^_^ also sorry for the short chapter but there wasnt much on my checklist for this chapter, i have re-structured all the chapters and it turns out that the next chapter will be back to the original 800 words+ per chapter //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Eight: Penultimate battle //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Eight: Penultimate battle the door smashed open with a loud bang nearly knocking it off its hinges, CB and kreskan walked into the large black room, suddenly kreskan shook in pain, he hovered uncontrollably into the air a purple aura surrounded kreskan,.then he stopped all his legs spread apart his chest on show. "i-i t-thought i g-got rid of y-you" the sound of Grave Dismay could beheard from every direction "oh well, ill have to d-dispose of your traitor friend before you get to far" just as that was said knives and swords appeared out of thin air, all the blades pointed towards kreskan all spontaniously thrusting one by one slowly through kreskans flesh his green coloured blood flowing down out of the wounds the blades plunged deeper and as Kreskan began to cough up blood and just fell to the floor. CB ran towards Kreskan to hear him shout "STAY BACK!" which caused CB to jolt back only to be lifted from the ground by Grave dismay and thrown against the wall. a crack opens in the floor as Grave Dismay lifts the void blade and CB up and slams them both through the crack, CB landed and the void blade followed after, smashing into two pieces, the landing shook Inch Punch onto the floor and knocked him out. CB looked up as the crack closed then at the shattered void blade, she looked around her, her legs shaking and they collapsed as her face hit the ground she began crying, tears running down her face her eyes closed, body collapsed on the ground, she had lost all hope. "dont cry CB" a mechanical voice said with a worried voice "it will all be ok" it was Googie, and he was working again. CB stood up picked up the two pieces of the void blade and layed them down, as googie took the scale he had kept from thier time back in the original world and he dropped it between the pieces and shot a laser at the parts, "remember that computer that gave me that data?" said googie, "he showed me this trick. the void blade pieces and the scales hovered into the air glowed a flash of different colours and linked together, the parts changed into plain white and merged into a spherical shape and suddenly shaped into the shape of a broadsword and regained its colour. CB spun around causing a hole straight up into Grave Dismays throne room, then she jumped up through to the throne room passed a statue and cut through it then landed sitting in the throne, the statue shattered and the piece top the statue that resembled a crown landed on CBs head. "miss me" said CB with a new found confidence as she thrust the blade into the air.
