Chapters Cross My Heart, Hope to Fly
Applejack wonders if this was a good choice or not. Should she trust Pinkie Pie? She takes a seat on one of the outside tables at Pinkie's favorite Hay Diner. Finally, Pinkie Pie is in sight with a... mustache on?
"So... I hear you got a secret." Pinkie says all 'California Cop' accent.
"Sugarcube, take those silly things off your face." Applejack says reaching for Pinkie Pie's sunglasses just as Pinkie slaps her hoof away.
"No! They make me look mysterious." Pinkie Pie replies leaning back in her chair, putting her hooves on the back of her head. Applejack just rolls her eyes as the waiter comes to take their order.
"I'll have double the hay please." Applejack says trying to fit a smile for the nice stallion.
"And I'll have a triple choc late cupcake." Pinkie Pie insists as the waiter walks back to the kitchen.
"Applejack! Why didn't you show up to your stallion friend's party?" Pinkie looks a bit sad.
"It took hours to get the house ready." Pinkie included, her eyes begging Applejack to tell the truth.
"Well, I uh..." Applejack stutters. "Well, he had this thing and I uh, didn't want to show up without him." Applejack says looking still, alittle tense. Pinkie looks Applejack in the eyes.
"You're acting real suspicious, Applejack." Pinkie Pie says sitting back down in her chair. Applejack looks left to right, and to left again.
"FINE! Alright, can you keep a secret, Pinkie Pie?" Applejack breaks as Pinkie Pie jumps up and down yelling.
"Of course I can!" Pinkie finally calms down and promises,
"Cross my heart, and hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye." Pinkie sticks her hoof in her right socket and resumes her potion as the waiter comes with their orders.
"One double hay order and a... chocolate cupcake." The stallion puts the food on the table.
"Triple chocolate cupcake," Pinkie corrects him as the waiter rolls his eyes.
"Say it. SAY IT!" Pinkie Pie yells. The waiter looks real annoyed as he says,
"Triple chocolate cupcake." He takes the tray and walks away from the table.
"Okay, what were you saying Applejack?" Pinkie Pie smiles like nothing happened, then stuffs her cupcake in her mouth with one bite.
"Well, I didn't want everypony to know," Applejack stats with her mouth full of hay.
"Who my boyfriend was." Applejack shakes with nervousness.
"Who is it?" Pinkie Pie asks anticipated.
"Well, it's..."
Tell Me More, Tell Me More
"Are you sure Applejack won't be a no show, Pinkie?" Twilight asks as she reattaches the streamers to where they were two days ago when the Mane Six tried to throw a party.
"She told me so! She even told me who it was." Pinkie said all matter-of-factually.
"Really!" Rarity rushes over to Pinkie Pie with her face up in the others.
"Who is it?" Rarity continued bouncing anxiously. Rainbowdash walks over there with her and sits down.
"I Pinkie promised I wouldn't tell anypony!" Pinkie Pie says mimicking the actions to the Pinkie promise.
"Well I won't tell a soul." Rarity says putting her hoof over her heart. Every pony looks suspiciously at her.
"What?!?! I'm never one to gossip." Rarity insists as everypony keeps staring at her.
"Then who was it spreading rumors I had clouds on my flank after I was speed-flying?" Rainbowdash asks as she crosses her arms. Rarity looks from left to right.
"Alright! I might have told The Cakes, Derpy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Sweetie belle, but your point is?" Rarity asked as innocently.
"Her point is, I pinkie promised so I can't tell a soul." Pinkie says slowly blowing up a green balloon. There was a knock at the front door.
"That must be him and Applejack!" Fluttershy rushes to the door as Rarity and Twilight follow. Fluttershy opens the door and standing there alone is Applejack.
All 6 ponies were sitting in the Living Room as Applejack takes a seat.
"Okay you may be a little surprised, but don't go crazy like Pinkie Pie did." Applejack says warning them. She sat there in silence trying to think of how to tell them who she loved.
"Don't freak out... You might be a little shocked-" Applejack started before Rarity interrupted her.
"Oh Applejack just tell us already!" Rarity spoke up as everypony looked up at her.
"I love Discord."
"Party perfect!" Pinkie Pie hops around Fluttershy's cottage blowing up balloons and running out of breath.
"Oh, I just can't wait to met him, I'm sure he's perfect for Applejack." Rarity says, still filing her hooves for his arrival.
"Fluttershy, could you be a dear and fetch me that cup of tea?" Rarity asks pointing with her newly polished hoof at the white china cup on the dining table. Fluttershy whispers in her sleigh voice an
"Of course" and walks over to grab it. The cup returns to Rarity as she implies a,
"Thank you Fluttershy, I would have gotten it myself but, I just had my back hooves polished." Rarity says taking a sip of her tea and continues filing.
"Uh, Don't you have a magic horn?" Rainbowdash asks after being silent for so long.
"Oops! Well sorry for your troubles, Fluttershy." Rarity apologizes not even looking up from what she was doing to her front, right hoof.
"Oh, It's no trouble at all, really." Fluttershy says softly as she walks back into the kitchen.
"Pinkie Pie! You're turning blue! You must simply stop blowing up those balloons." Rarity says as Pinkie Pie heavily heaves into a bright red balloon.
"I have to make the house Party Perfect!" She starts galloping around, straightening table clothes and blowing up more balloons.
"Uh, Pinkie?" Rainbowdash pitches in as Rarity puts her hoof up to silence her.
"This is the only time I've ever seen her clean. Let her be." Rarity says, finally getting out of the chair to stretch.
"But she's turning blue like you sa-" Rainbowdash starts as Rarity interrupts her again,
"Let her be!" She says crazily. Rainbowdash lifts her eyebrows to sign the
"okay" eyes at Rarity and enters the kitchen. Pinkie Pie, all of a sudden, falls Splat! on her face on the floor. Rarity doesn't even look up from didn't see a thing.
"Oh Twilight! You're here!" Rarity calls and offers her a cup of tea. Twilight shakes her head no and takes a seat next to Rarity. Fluttershy and Rainbowdash burst out of the kitchen door.
"Great, Eerypony's here except..." Fluttershy starts as there is a silence among the 5.
"Everypony except Applejack." Rarity implies putting her hoof file away.
"She said they would be here by noon." Rainbowdash starts.
"And Applejack is loyal, always on time." Rarity agrees. The 5 ponies sit there disappointed.
"Um, Guys." Twilight begins as everypony is staring at her.
"Why is Pinkie Pie on the floor?"

Applejack couldn't wait to see him, she almost trotted to the Evergreen Forest, no, almost galloped. Now that Pinkie Pie knew her secret, she couldn't bear the thought of knowing all her friends were here waiting for her.
"Second tree with the broken branch." Applejack muttered out loud trying to remember the route to their meeting place. She made two turns and one jump of over the quick sand pile.
"Oh dear Applejack, you must not go any farther, we wouldn't want your hooves to chip." Applejack turns around to see him floating their, smiling. She gallops up to him with open arms.
"I missed you pumpkin." Applejack says as she releases the hug and sits down on a stick.
"Were using pet names now?" He asked looking kind of disturbed, like he didn't like it.
"If, you want to use them..." Applejack rubs her shoulder nervous he wouldn't like it.
"Of course... I'm sorry, I just can't think of one on the top of my head." He said hanging his head in sorrow.
"No problem, Sugarcube." He and Applejack start walking towards their place.
"My friends want to meet you... but because of your past, I don't know if they'll approve." Applejack says, worried as she looks up at him.
"Why do you care what they think, if you really like me, tell them." He says hugging Applejack.
"You're right, Sugarcube." Applejack breaks up the hug and starts galloping towards the meeting place they assigned.
"Race you!" Applejack says as she goes faster. She looks back to see if he is right behind her when...
"Oof!" Applejack falls to the ground. She ran into him.
"I can teleport, remember?" He says holding back a laugh. Applejack starts smiling, which leads to a laughing fest between them both.
"I promise I'll tell my friends about you." Applejack says cuddling up next to him.
"I promise."
"How could you love him!" Twilight Sparkle yells in Applejack's face as Applejack herself whimpers.
"Let her have love!" Rarity yelled back at Rainbowdash, they had been arguing for 25 minutes now.
"Um, guys, if I could say something..." Fluttershy started then everypony at the same time yelled,
"Not now Fluttershy!" as Fluttershy took a step back muttering different ways of saying 'I'm Sorry'. Every pony was hollering at each other until Pinkie Pie finally banged on a pot with a spoon. All of the 5 looked at Pinkie Pie.
"Every pony! Listen to Fluttershy!" Pinkie yells into the pot, as everyone else's ears are ringing still from the banging pot.
"Why? I'm surprised she didn't love him first!" Rarity yelled. Every pony's mouths dropped open at how Rarity insulted Fluttershy. No one ever hurt Fluttershy, physical or words. Fluttershy was tearing up and ran upstairs. Every pony suddenly turned on Rarity and started screaming again, even Pinkie Pie.
"Guys!" Applejack yells as she gets everyone's attention.
"I'm sorry if you don't like him, but i do, he's my perfect stallion." Applejack starts her speech.
"Actually he's not really a stallion." Rarity corrects her as everypony gives her the stink eye.
"He's part stallion, and I love him. For me, can you please forget the past, and love him too." Applejack finishes, hoping they would say yes.
"I don't know Applejack... he did turn Ponyville into the chaos capitol." Twilight says rubbing her hoof against her arm.
"But then Fluttershy turned him good." Applejack pleaded.
"Fluttershy! Oh, I must apologize to her." Rarity says galloping upstairs.
"Yeah, you better." Rainbowdash meanly mutters.
"So, How did you and-" Twilight stops as she shudders just saying his name.
"Discord, meet?" She finishes as she takes a seat at the dining table.
"Well, uh..." Applejack started sitting down herself and everypony did the same. Rarity and Fluttershy walked down together, smiling.
"I was in The Evergreen Forest, walking through so I could go to Canterlot to sell some apples." Applejack started as everypony had smiles and listening ears. Especially, Rarity. She loved love.
"When Discord and I ran into each other. He was just hollowing out a tree for some rabbits to live in." Applejack said it so dreamily, as Fluttershy was in awe too.
"He asked me what I was up to and we sorta... we just started talking, once it was getting dark, he told me he would see me at that exact spot tomorrow, and i couldn't refuse." Applejack finished as Pinkie Pie was clapping her hooves and Fluttershy and Rarity were tearing up.
"That was beautiful." Rarity said levitating a tissue for her and Fluttershy with her horn.
"Maybe it's okay, he seems good now." Twilight told Applejack.
"I'm happy Twilight, I really am." Applejack said back as they both reached for cake.
"And that's all that matters." Twilight replied as she handed Applejack the cake cutter.
