Almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
“Blackjack” the dealer said sliding your chips to you. “That's the third one in a row.” The gambler next to you said looking at his own cards. “I surrender.” he said throwing his cards on the table. The dealer grabbed half his chips and left the other half for him. “How are you so damn lucky?” he asked staring you right in the eyes. “Don't know I guess I'm just lucky tonight.” you said laying 150 chips down for your next bet. It was just you and the dealer now. A small crowd gathered behind you watching you as if it would bring them luck. The dealer shuffled the deck and started to deal the cards. He dealt you your cards you had a two of clubs and a nine of hearts. You decided to make this interesting “Double Down” you say placing another 150 chips next to the original bet. The crowd behind you was watching with extreme intent. The dealer placed down your next card, Jack of diamonds. The crowd behind you let out an audible held breath. The dealer flipped over his face down card he had fifteen. He put down another card, it was the five of clubs. The crowd behind you let out a loud cheer. The dealer pushed your earnings over to you. You decided to call it a night you stood up gathered you chips and went over to the cashier. You just earned three months of salary in one night. You started to walk towards the door to the dinner. You looked back at the table you were at. All the seats where full, and people where waiting to get a seat at the table. The Tops was getting influx of gambler now hearing that someone had been having lucky cards. Most of these people would be leaving broke, and you knew it. I guess its true what they saw “The house always wins.” you said walking into the dinner. You decided to treat your self to a real dinner tonight. You sat down at the bar. The bartender came over to you “What can I get you?” he asked looking at you. “A Nuka Cola, and Brahmin stake please.” You say resting your hands on the table. “Sure thing.” he says reaching below the counter and pulling up a Nuka Cola. “The stake will take a few minutes is that okay?” he asked popping the cap off the Nuka Cola. He was about to hand you the Nuka Cola and the cap “That's fine, and you can keep the cap.” you said shifting you weight a little to get more comfortable. “Thank you.” he said pocketing the cap. “No problem.” you say taking a swig of your Nuka Cola. A few minutes later the bartender came back with your stake. “Here you are.” he said placing the plate in front of you. You finished the stake a few minutes later. You placed down twenty caps fifteen for the food and five for a tip. You preferred using NCR money, but you occasionally would come upon a few caps while on patrol. You weren't just going to pass up free caps after all. Feeling well feed, and happy with your earnings you decided to head out. You make sure to stop by the front on your way out. “I'm here to pick up my pistol.” you say talking to the desk attendant. He looks over you “Ah! Right here you go.” he said Squatting down and opening the safe below him. He brought up you nine millimeter pistol. He gave you the pistol “Have a good night Sir.” he said as you walked out the door. “You too.” you said as the door behind you closed. This was your last furlough day you had to head back to Camp McCarran before sunrise. You decided to head back now, better safe the sorry. You arrived at the camp before eleven pm according to the guard on duty. You where worn out, and you decided to turn in for the night.
Your dream started the same way every night. You where back at Camp Forlorn Hope. You heard stories about this place if you were sent here you were sent to your death. You where only a private first class at the time, but it didn't really matter what you rank was you were still at risk for death. Also that fact you where a combat medic didn't help either. The legion didn't have any medics so they would especially target the medics because they would help the wounded, and to the legion that was a sign of weakness. If they captured you it was even worse they would purposely torture the medics in front of the battle field to demoralize the troops. The scary thing is that the legion would always try to take the medics alive for this very reason. Most medics when surrounded would put a bullet into their brains before the legion got them, but it was still very demoralizing to the troops. Anyways you where walking up to the command tent to talk to Major Joseph Polatli. You walked into the command tent “Damn it that's the second raid this week, and its only Wednesday!” The Major said pounding the table. You could tell it was the Major because of his insigne. He looked at you “And who the hell is this?” he asked pointing his hand at you. You stood and saluted the Major “I'm the medic reinforcement you requested from Hoover Dam. Sir.” you said still saluting him. “Your the only one?” he asked looking somber now. “Yes Sir.” You said still saluting him. “I requested for five medics.” He said looking down at the table. He looked back up at you “At ease soldier.” he said moving his eyes back to the table. You put your arm down and relaxed your posture. “So your the only one.” he asked looking back at you. “Yes Sir.” you say looking at him. “Okay go see if you can be of some use down at the Medical tent.” He says looking back down at the table almost as if he was to afraid to look you in the eyes. You walked out of the command tent, and walked over to the medical tent which had a big cross on it. You walked into the medical tent the smell of dried blood was overwhelming. Also the groans of the injured where all you could hear in the tent. You saw the doctor working hard on one of the patients. You decided to stay out of his way until he was done. A few minutes later he finished and walked over to you. “Are you hurt?” he asked looking over you. “No I'm actually here to help you.” You said pointing at some of the beds around the room. “You a doctor?” he asked still looking you over. “Wait your a medic aren't you.” he said pointing to the the armband around your arm that had a red cross on it. “Yes sir” You said. “Oh” he said looking from you to the ground. “I guess you can start by helping me some of the patients around here.” he said still looking at the ground sounding a bit somber. Why was every one acting this way around you. Even the patrol guards acted this way when they found out you where a medic. It was really starting to freak you out. You spent the rest of the night helping the doctor with his patients. After you left you realized that forgot to ask the doctor what his name was, but you where pretty tired at the moment so you decided to turn in for the night. You weren’t given a schedule or anything so you decided you might as well sleep. You walked into the barracks, and everyone’s eyes shifted to you. They one by one started to notice you red armband and there eyes began to fall down to the ground. Why was everyone doing this to you had you done something wrong. There was one empty bed you decided to claim it. You where to tired to change out of your of your armor. You put your trooper hat over your head to block out the light. You heard the people around you start to whisper. “Remember what happened to the last medic.” was one of the things you made out from the whispers. “I heard they gutted him alive.” a female a voice said. Needless to say you didn't get any sleep that night.
The next morning you where worn out from the lack of sleep. You walked out of the barracks you decided to see if you could find the mess hall. You found the mess hall relatively quickly. You quickly scarfed down breakfast, you weren't that hungry after hearing about the last medic. You walked outside with the hot Mojave sun bearing down on you. You wondered where you were going to be stationed. You walked over to the command tent. Your time spent in the command tent was short once you got in there the Major said to go get a weapon from the quartermaster. You walked over to the quartermaster tent. He gave you a service rifle and a nine millimeter pistol. He noticed your arm band and handed you a satchel full of medical supplies. He did this all with out talking to you. You walked back to the into the command tent. “Alright so your going to be assigned to..” a loud explosion from outside interrupted the Major. “The Camps under attack!” he yelled grabbing the pistol from his belt. “Don't just stand there move it soldier!” he said yelling at you. You Ran outside drawling your service rifle. There was a large battle happening outside the command tent. One of the legionnaires noticed you and charged at you. You raised your rifle's irons to your eye and took aim. You fired a shot you saw the bullet rip through his skull and come out the other side. A pool of blood began to form around his head. Bits of brain matter where mixed with the blood, and he was making a gurgling sound while blood began to flow out of his mouth. This was the first time you’ve killed another person, but you didn't have time to think about that there was a battle going on. You saw a legionnaire sneaking up behind one of the MPs. You took aim and shot. Your bullet hit his armor, and it caused him to lose his balance. He was near the cliff by the cemetery you dashed forward and rammed him off the cliff. He had a good ten foot fall. It wasn't lethal so you decided to check. However unfortunately for him he landed head first. He laid there motionless probably with a severed spinal cord or broken neck. You decided it was time head to where the fighting was the thickest the entrance to the valley. You saw the NCR troops pushing back the legion. You saw a fellow soldier on the ground moaning in pain. You ran over to him and administered a Stimpack and a Med-X to the injured soldier. He stopped moaning you decided to investigate the damage. He had a bullet wound to his left shoulder and his right leg. He tried to stand up “Not so fast.” you said pushing him back down. He understood he shouldn't move and didn't question your order. You ran back into the battle by the entrance. You a soldiers on the ground getting hit by a legionnaire with a machete. You raised your rifle and unloaded three rounds into him. The first on tore through his chest the next one was his neck and the last was his head. The legionnaire fell to the ground like a bag of bricks. You ran over to the wounded soldier. “Holy Shit.” you mumbled to yourself as you noticed how bad his injuries where. His intestines where hanging out from his stomach his face was half chopped off and he was missing his left hand. You gave him a shot of Med-X and tried to push back his intestines. His eyes started to close you pulled out a Stimpack and plunged it into his chest. His eyes shot back open. The NCR troops around you where pushing back the legionnaires coming in from the valley. You felt a hand on you shoulder you looked back it was the Major. He had a somber look on his face. He looked down at the injured soldier, and shook his head. He flipped his pistol so that the handle was facing you. “NO! I can still save him!” you yell turning you attention back to the soldier. His eyes where closing again you pulled out a super Stimpack and stabbed it into his arm. His shot open like last time. “Your just prolonging the inevitable.” he said looking between you and him somberly. He was right there was no way you could save this man. You felt a tap on you chest. It was the injured soldier he was nodding. He wanted you to do this. You looked back to the Major he still had his pistol handle facing you. You grab the pistol from his hand. You turn around to face the injured soldier. He was holding something in his right hand he motioned you to grab it. You put you hand underneath his. He opened his hand and let the object fall into you hand. You took a look at it, it was a card the ace of spades to be exact. “It will bring you luck” he said letting his arm go limp. “I'm So sorry.” you say bringing the gun up to his head. You felt something sliding down you cheek. You closed your eyes and hung you head down. Bang! His suffering was over just like that. You kept your eyes closed and stood up. You felt blood on your face, his blood. You still had the ace he gave you. You turned around to face the Major. “You did the right thing.” he said patting you on your shoulder. You opened your eyes and looked at the card. You put it behind your medic armband. The legion was driven back to Nelson, and for the first time since the beginning of the battle you felt tired. Then realization of what you did hit you this was the first time you ever killed someone. You felt sick when you remember the gurgling sounds the legionnaire made when he died. You also remembered what you just did to one of your brothers in arms. You shook the thoughts out of you head. “You should get some rest its never easy.” the Major said rubbing his neck. “Whats never easy?” you asked looking at him still feeling sick. “Doing what you just did.” he said looking you in the eyes. You nod your head, and begin walking to the barracks. “I'll give you your assignment tomorrow.” he said walking towards the command tent.
You walked into the barracks, and some of the troops looked at you surprised to see you still alive. “Hay you made it” one of the soldiers said hopping down from her bunk. They started to gather around you. “So whats your name.” One of the soldiers from the crowd asked. You tell them your name. “That's to hard to remember.” the soldier said looking over you. “Not really” you say making your way through the crowd and to your bed. He took notice to the ace under your armband. “How about Ace, ya Ace will work” he said getting nods of approval from the crowd. “Ace you want to go by the mess hall and get some food.” one of the soldiers asked getting a laugh from the crowd. You let out a sigh you didn't really feel hungry. “I'll have to pass for now but maybe some other time.” You say reaching your bed. “Alright you loss.” the soldier said walking out of the barracks. You put your trooper hat over you face to block out the light. You had a hard time going to sleep, but you managed. The images of the day where still fresh in your mind. When you woke up everyone in the barracks was asleep. You walked outside it was dark, but luckily the full moon was giving you some light. It was quiet outside. You saw a few soldiers walking around probably on patrol. You decided to wait until sun came up before heading to the command post. A few hours later you where standing where you were when the attack happened. “So your going to be assigned with one of the squads attacking Nelson today.” the Major said looking somber. “Wait what?!” you asked staring at him wide eyed. “Listen I know how this sounds but trust me this will work.” He said looking into your eyes. “Follow me” he said walking out of the command tent. You followed him to the valley's entrance. Their where some soldiers gathered. They saw you and the Major approaching. “Ace your on this mission too” one of the soldiers said. You nodded your head. “So Major what makes this any better.” you asked walking next to the Major. “Them.” He said pointing down the valleys entrance. You saw three people wearing power armor with the NCR flag painted on it. “Heavy Troopers?” you asked dumbfounded. “They came over from the dam today, guess the Brass does care about us.” he said stopping in front of the entrance. “But Sir why would you send me on this mission I have very little combat experience.” You say. “Your the only medic we have, sure we have the doc but he is not one for fighting.” he said shrugging. “You'll be fine we also have another card up our sleeve.” he said pointing to the valleys wall. You look over and see four figures in black armor with red lenses on their helmets. “Are those rangers?” you asked surprised. “Yep.” he said nodding with a smile. They wear wielding Anti-material rifles and they all had Ranger Sequoias on their belt. “So are you ready.” he asked looking at you with a smile. “Ready as I'll ever be.” You say checking you rifle. You turn the safety off and load a bullet in the chamber.
The major briefed you and your fellow soldiers on what you objectives where. The main goal was to liberate Nelson from the legion, the secondary goal was to kill or capture the legion commander Dead Sea, and the third and final goal was to free any captured NCR soldiers. The heavy infantry was to take point on this operation while the Rangers where to provide over watch. You and your fellow soldiers objective where to help eliminate any hostile forces. “Good luck and God speed.” the Major said while you and the other soldiers began to leave the camp. You where almost to the legion's sides entrance it was slow going because every few feet the they had to disarm a landmine. A legion scout was coming down the entrance to the valley. He noticed the advance forcing coming towards him. His eyes opened in fear he was about alert every legionnaire in the camp. The next thing you knew their was just a red mist of blood from where his head once was. You then heard the sound of a sniper going off. “Hollow point rounds.” One of the soldiers next to you mumbled as you passed the headless body. You and the other troops began to move up the entrance, but you stopped short of Nelson's entrance. One of the heavy troops made a signal you didn't recognize. You looked back and saw the rangers moving up. Once they arrived you began to advance again. You saw Nelson there where scattered fires all around, and few legionnaires walking around. The Rangers stopped once they could clearly see the legionnaires. “Stop here.” one of the heavy troopers said stopping in his tracks. The Rangers took aim with there rifles. They all fired at the same time, and then you saw four different legionnaires fall down. “They know where here now.” one of your fellow soldiers said. “For the NCR!” one of the heavy infantry yelled. You heard the whirling of there Mini guns. Legionnaires started to pour out of the buildings. The heavy infantry began to unload on the legionnaires. They where being torn apart by the speed of the Mini guns. They were falling left and right. The few that where trying to setup defensive positions where getting shot by the rangers. You where firing to, but you didn't know if your bullets where hitting or not they where dropping to fast to tell. Before long there weren’t any legionnaires coming out of the buildings anymore. “Now you guys do what you came here to do.” one of the heavy infantry said. You and your fellow soldiers took position in front of one of the buildings. One of them opened the door slightly and another one through a flash bang in the building. Once you heard the bang the soldier in front of the door swung the door open. You and another soldier rushed inside of the building. There was no one else in the building besides you and the other soldier. You cleared the next few buildings like this no resistance. Then you came upon the last building. They new Dead Sea was in there so they decided to throw a flash bang through the window. Once you heard the bang You opened the door and rushed in. You and the other six soldiers where in the building. You saw Dead sea, he was all by him self he had no left to protect him. He had a machete in his hand. “You'll never take me.” he said bringing the machete to his neck. You fired a round into his right shoulder forcing his arm to go limp. Then the soldier next to you rushed forward and tackled him to the ground. “No!” he yelled with rage in his voice. “Finish what you started!” he said looking at you. You went over to him and squatted down in front of him. “Your going to pay for you crimes, and besides your not even worth the metal of your own machete.” you say picking up his machete. You walked out of the building while he began to curse at you. You saw a few soldiers tied up to a crosses in the center of Nelson. You walked over to them and cut them down with the machete you got from Dead Sea. “Thank you.” the soldiers said with tears in there eyes. There suffering was finally over. You felt a smile on your face growing. You felt like you’ve done something amazing today. You stabbed the machete into one of the crosses. Nelson was back in the NCR's rightful hands.
There was a large celebration back at the camp. You don't remember most of the night, but what you could remember was smiles on everyone’s faces and cheers from all around. In the following days you where resigned to Camp McCarran along with a few others from Camp Forlorn Hope. With your reassignment came a promotion to Corporal guess the Brass was impressed with your with your performance at the camp. The unfortunate part of other people from the camp being resigned with you was that your nickname came with them. However one person hated your nickname. He only called him self the Ten of Spades. You told him he could have the nickname, but he said he wanted to earn it. You felt bad for him however because he had a pretty bad stuttering problem. He noticed the ace behind your armband, and asked you how you got it. You told him the story up until you got to Camp McCarran. “I guess you earned that ace after all.” he said walking back to the first recon tent of course he didn't say it like due to his stuttering problem, but you knew what he meant. This is where you are today a Corporal in the NCR military stationed at Camp McCarran.
You felt someone shake you when you woke up. “Come on Ace get before they mark you as awol.” One of your squad mates said. It sounded like it was Josh from the deep voice. You got up an quickly changed into your armor. You took the ace out of your pant pocket and slipped it underneath your armband. “Can't be forgetting our signature ace can we now.” Josh said letting out a deep laugh. “Ya ya.” you said lacing your boots. Once you where done you and Josh walked out of the tent and started walking towards the Camps entrance. Your squad was waiting for you on the other side of the gate. “Well look who decided to join us.” your Sargent said. She was looking at you like you've done something really wrong. “I though patrol wasn't until noon.” you said looking at the sun for conformation of the time. It was barley above the horizon by your guess it was six. She began shacking her head “You know I like to get an early start.” she said smiling at you. You where giving her your best deadpan stare. “Well since your here lets get a move on.” She said walking. You and the squad followed instinctively behind her. Jenny wasn't usually this cruel to you, she must be in a good mode today you thought to yourself. For some reason she kept picking on you. Some of your squad mates said she had something for you. The only time she showed a strong emotion towards you is when a landmine exploded near you, and all the shrapnel flew around you, pretty lucky right. You weren't injured of course, but she thought you had died. She was crying when you saw her face. After she found out you were fine she beat the shit out of you. She used to be ranger after all, but she didn't like to talk about it. Something happened at a place called Bitter Springs many people held resentment towards the name. All you knew is that it was massacre. You never brought it up around the Sargent out of fear of getting your ass kicked. You felt a pair of eyes on you. You looked up from the ground snapping out of your day dream. The Sargent was looking at you with her bright blue eyes. “Are you alright, you seem kind of out of it.” she said looking into your eyes. “I'm fine.” you say waving the question off. “Alright.” she said shrugging and turning her eyes back to the road. Roger came over and nudged you on your shoulder. He was looking at you with the 'I told you look'. You just rolled your eyes. Roger was the one who originally told you about the Sargent having feelings for you. Josh rubbed sweat off the top of his head beside you. “Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish f--” “Don't you dare finish that sentence” you say giving him a look that could kill. You heard that repeated to many damn times, it was safety hazard. Anyways you and you squad where just patrolling the Camps perimeter so it shouldn't be to long. “Hold up.” The Sargent said pointing to something down the road, never mind. It started to get closer and closer to your squad. “It's just a kid.” The Sargent said confused. You moved to get a good look at the kid. He was crying, he looked bruised and battered. “Ace go check on him make sure he's okay.” the Sargent said slinging her rifle behind her shoulder. You went over to the kid. He was really beat up. You looked at his hands. Some of the fingers where bent in odd direction. Who would do this to a child. “Where are you parents?” you asked going through your bag to find a Med-X. Tears started to flow from his black eyes. The rest of the squad was looking over your shoulder. “Their dead” he said said tear drops falling from his face to the ground. You pulled out a Med-X from your medic satchel frowning. “I'm so sorry.” you said uncapping the Med-X. He back away from you once he saw the needle. His eyes dilated, and he clenched his fists. “I'm not going to hurt you, I'm only here to help you.” you said holding up your hands in a surrendering manner. “Okay as long as you promise.” he said showing you his arm. “Yes I promise I won't hurt you.” you say taking his arm. “Now this might sting a little.” you say inserting the needle into his arm. He flinched away in pain but you held on to his arm. “All done.” you say removing you hands from him. He looked at you with a look of hope in his eyes. He wrapped you up in a hug. You returned the gesture. You felt something on his back. You turned him around and lifted up his shirt. There strapped to his back was C-4. You looked him the eyes tears starting to form in his eyes. This was a legion tactic they new that NCR soldiers wouldn't hurt a kid. The light on the C-4 changed from green to red. Then an loud beeping rung out. You turned the kid around ripping the C-4 of his back. The beeping started to get faster. Your whole squad was in range of the explosive. You couldn't throw it you wouldn't have enough time. So you did the only thing you could do to protect your squad. You dropped down on top of the explosive device. The beeping was now immensely fast there wasn't even a second left, but time felt to go slower. Josh picked up the kid and was running away his green eyes never leaving you. Roger was trying to drag Jenny away from you. She was struggling with him trying to get out of his grip. Her Blue eyes full of fear. Roger's eyes where closed from his struggle with Jenny. You closed your eyes knowing of your impending death. You where going to miss these guys. You felt yourself land on something soft.
You opened your eyes. You saw something green under your body. You where trying to process what this mysterious texture was. You looked at the green field around you, but you also saw something else around you. There was living trees with leaves on them. Then was the green stuff grass? You stood up checking your self for any injuries. You do a quick look over of your self but there where no signs of injury. You where still wearing your NCR armor, and medic armband with the ace of spades underneath it. You also had your standard issue service rifle, and nine millimeter pistol, three magazines for each. You also had a trench knife you won in a poker game. You checked the medical satchel at your side. You had fifteen Stimpacks, five Super Stimpacks, four Med-X, and two Rad-X and Rad Away. You look up in the sky. There wasn't a single cloud. Where you in Haven, You wondered to yourself. Their was no way you could have survived that explosion from C-4 that large. You began to wonder what happened to your squad. Your body probably took the blunt of the explosion. Then you began to think it over. What if the explosion used your bones as shrapnel. It was a horrible thought but it could be true. Your also wondering what happened to the kid and your squad. You hoped your sacrifice wasn't in vein, and your squad mates and the kid where unharmed. Then you thought to yourself the bomb had to be remotely detonated, because otherwise it would have exploded prematurely or late. So that meant someone was watching the kid the whole time. You hoped it was only one person but if it was squad of legion raiders your squad could be getting attacked right now. You wish you where still there to help them now. However you couldn't do anything now you where dead, and in God knows where. Your thought was broken by a loud explosion and bright light. You look up and see a wave of colors going across the sky. “What the hell.” you mumble to yourself. You see a trail of color going across the sky. You remember reading about something like this in a book once. It was called a rainbow, but the book never said it did anything like this before. I was something to do with water droplets and prisms, that's all you knew. It started to make loops in the sky. Where ever you where certainly wasn't Earth anymore. There was no logical way this rainbow could do these things. Maybe you truly where in haven after all.
Then something thing happened the rainbow started to spin, almost as if it was out of control. The rainbow was now coming towards you. You made a mad dash into the treeline. You didn't have enough time to look behind you, but you could have sworn you heard yelling. The impact of the object knocked you off your feet. You stood up a few seconds later. You stood up part of you wanted to leave this area, but another part of you wanted to investigate what happened. You decided to head back to the impact site. In the creator there was a cyan blue creature laying in the center. It had wings, was this thing some sort of large bird. It flipped it's self over it had a pained expression on it's face. It looked up at you. It's face changed from one of pain to fear. It's magenta eyes locked on you. You never seen a creature like this before. What was it you wondered. Was this the thing that made the rainbow, no it couldn't have been. Maybe you where in haven after all flying creatures with mystical power sounded about right. You heard something from behind you. You turned around and saw a pair of eyes staring at you hungrily, or maybe you where in hell.
The creature came out into the sunlight. It had a scorpion tail, and the body looked similar to that of a lion. You saw it in a book once, but this wasn't the time to think of that. It started to advance slowly towards you. You took a step back, but your foot found no solid ground. You fell backwards as the creature lunged forward missing you by inches. If you didn't fall back it would have gotten you. You landed next to the cyan blue creature which was now staring at the other creature. It was at the edge of the crater. You pulled your nine millimeter pistol out of it's holster and took aim. You fired three shots. The first two hit the creature in it's head and the third hit it's tail. The creatures skull must have been strong because it didn't die from the head shots. It roared in what you would guess was anger. It ran off fearing more shots to be fired. You got your breathing under control relatively quickly. You wondered who the creature next to you was taking all this. The cyan creature was looking at you again. You stood up and got a good look at the cyan blue creature. It had rainbow colored hair. You looked at what you think was it's legs. The front ones looked broken, but the back ones seemed to be alright. Then again you weren't to sure because you had know idea what kind of creature this was. “What are you.” you said thinking aloud. It's eyes widened not in fear, but surprise or what you think was surprise. “You can talk.” the creature said looking over you. Did that thing just talk to you? You check your medical bag to make sure you didn't land on any Med-X. “What are you doing?” the creature asked looking at you curiously. You looked at the creature, but your brain was having problems coming up with a response to it's question. “My names Rainbow Dash whats yours?” the creature was obviously female. You mind was still processing what you where hearing. “Ace.” you say unknowingly. Why did you have to say you nickname, you think internally hitting yourself. “That's a pretty cool name.” the creature said sounding weaker. It's eyes where starting to close. You guessed that it's adrenalin wore off and the pain was starting to hit her. If you didn't do something quick it would go unconscious. You had medical supplies, but you where limited now could you really afford to use them on an unknown creature. You heard distant shouting from behind you. It sounded like a rescue party because the where calling the creatures name. So their where more of these things. The creatures eyes where now half lidded. The rescue party wouldn't arrive for a few minutes at least. You could leave before the rescue team arrived allowing you to avoid contact with more of these things. You could stay with the creature and administer first aid and medical treatment until the rescue party arrived. However you had limited amount of medical supplies. You saw a few pairs of yellow eyes locked onto you from the tree line. They looked like the eyes of dogs. They weren't really looking at you, but the injured creature next to you. You didn't have many options, but which one do you choose is the true question.
Options:
Good: Stay with the creature and administer medical aid, and wait for the rescue party to arrive.(-1 Stimpack and Med-X)
Neutral: Stay with the creature and wait for the rescue party to arrive, but do not administer medical aid.
Evil: Leave the creature to avoid running into the rescue party, but leave it at the mercy of the animals in the surrounding trees.
Authors notes
Since this is a second person story I will be hopping to hear reader input on the story so far.
But the question I ask is will you be hostile to the ponies, friendly, or overall stoic to them.
I'm leaving it up to you guys to decided.
