A Trip to the Crystal Empire

Twilight Sparkle woke up in the morning and yawned. It was one heck of a day for her yesterday. She was just getting settled in, and everypony was treating her so nicely! Twilight walked to her dresser and started to brush her hair. She smiled at first, but then thought of the strange things she had seen the day before. Could it have meant something big? Perhaps she would study into it later. Twilight barely had enough time o put on her crown before being rushed down to breakfast. It seemed like another busy, bustling day in the Crystal Empire for her!

"Hey Twilight!" Shining Armor called to his little sister when she entered the dining hall. "Sleep well?"

"Yeah, it was a heck of a day yesterday huh?" Twilight replied. "So, what plans do we have for today? I can't wait to see everything!"

Just then, Cadence walked in with a smile on her face. "Hey everyone! I just heard that the Wonderbolts are coming today for a special show! I got tickets reserved for us" the princess announced.

"The Wonderbolts! Wow, I never thought I would see them perform at the Crystal Empire! Rainbow Dash would've loved this," Twilight frowned a little at the thought of her fast flying friends. She missed them, and felt like going back, then and there.

"We thought you might have said that," Shining Armor started. "So that's why we invited her to see the show!" he finished excitedly. It hadn't been even ten seconds yet until the fast flying pegasus flew in, a trail of rainbow behind her.

"Twilight! So good to see you!" Rainbow Dash laughed. "You seem happy," she pointed out.

Twilight grinned. "It hasn't even been two days, but I already missed everypony back at Ponyville! Of course I'm happy, and now that you're here, this is sure to be one great day," the lavender pony smiled.

"Well, I do have that effect on ponies," Rainbow told her friend. "I'm staying for a while here, well at least until the Equestria Games are over, then I'm headin' back home."

"That's great! Where are you going to stay though?" Twilight asked.

"Your friend Rainbow Dash is going to be staying in the room next to yours!" Shining Armor told everyone. "It's great, right Twilie?"

"Really? Wow! I can't believe you got everything planned on such short notice," Twilight exclaimed. "Can this day get any better?" she asked.

Cadence smiled. "Well, we have a big day ahead of us. First, we're going to give you the grandest tour of the palace. Then, we're going to hit the race track at the arena to fly around for a bit. Afterwards, we will eat lunch and see the Wonderbolts perform. As soon as we do all those things, you can explore the city and hang out with your friend," Cadence announced.
