In another future, Twilight sees things that nopony from her time could see. Being an alicorn gives her a chance to see everything. And some things that she would never wants to ever see. Sadly, the pain will last forever.

Being an alicorn - similar of becoming a god or goddess is a wonderful thing. You get to see everything change around you. Time passes over you, the clock of death going much slower. But with this 'immortality'; it's both a blessing and a curse for Twilight Sparkle.
She gets to see everything that's going to come and experience it. But in another future, the inevitable comes for all her friends. The thing that she would never want to see.
It comes and she can't do anything about it.
She'll have to deal with the pain forever.
