The Long Road

It had been a long walk.  He knew that because of the sun.  However he didn't actually know the time.  He should have brought a watch!  But he was in such a rush.  There was no time for it, because just like that things just went by so fast.  Why it feels like in just a moment he was at his old home and now he's here.  He missed his old home.  All the good memories, all the good places, all the good views, all the good...friends-But he couldn't dwell on the past.  He had to press forward to the future.  From what he could tell it was close to midday. Yet he wasn't sure as it hurt his eyes too much to look at the sun.  So he concentrated on walking.

But it was just so hard with his feet and back aching. Which was strange because he didn't have really anything with him.  Yet still he ached.  It hurt worse than if you were to get paper cuts all over and then take a bath in lemonade.  Or if you jumped into a porcupine and hedgehog gathering.  Or if you fell of a cliff 47 times.  Oh how it hurt all over.  It hurt to even think about it.  He wasn't sure if some of his burn marks had anything to do with it.  All he knew was that it hurt.  Badly.  It's why he really hoped a town would be up ahead.

What also didn't help was the fact that it had been three days since he'd eaten.  Now that he was thinking about food didn't help either.  He was so hungry he could almost eat dirt.  He scooped up some dirt, and shook it off. Almost.  His mouth was also dry and even his tongue was dry.  Not just because he was thirsty, but because it was probably one of the most hottest days in Equestria he'd ever experienced.  So dry that if some weather pegasus were to shake a cloud all that would happen is that the cloud would grow more.  He wondered how he didn't die from it.  But he had to just kept walking.

His things with him weren't much, because he was in a rush when he had gotten them.  He was wearing a brown cloak.  Just plain brown.  With no pattern or anything.  He only had only one bag with one precious item inside.  His most precious item.  The only thing left from his old home.  It was an item so precious it was worth more than a life(to him of course.)  It wasn't too much but he felt blessed for what he still had.

He had black hair and the same color of feathers.  Yes, he had wings, and he was proud of them.  He always liked to pretend he was the fastest flyer.  Or that he was flying with the Wonderbolts his idol's.  Sometimes he even pretended the most far'fetched of things, that he could preform a Sonic Rainboom.  Nopony had ever done one and if he ever found one he would love to hear their story.  But they were just stories, nothing more.

He had been walking for days now.  Because his wing was completely broken.  It hurt him on the inside to not be able to use his wnigs.  But he was determined to get as far away from where he had come from, as possible.  Even if that meant walking.  So that meant he had to walk.  Walking in the heat wasn't exactly easy either.  What he wouldn't kill for something to eat, drink, or do.  Because (suprisingly)  walking was pretty boring.  His surroundings had been the same for a while.  A dirt track and plains far and wide.  Sometimes a tree or two.

He then saw a sign up ahead.  He was so glad to see it.  'Finally!' he thought 'This may mean a town!'  Never had he ran so hard during the journey except for when he started.  He dashed up, eager to see what it said.  He spoke out the sign," Ponyville, 5 miles ahead."  He was happy to know there was a town.  He sort of wish he knew at least a little bit about Ponyville.

He had thought he heard something about it having to do with some ponies, the elements of harmony, and Nightmare Moon.  Or was it that pony that saved people from eternal chaos.  Or was it about the pony who traveled back in time.  He couldn't remember.  They were probably tall tales.  But one thing was for sure.  He just hoped there weren't any ponies that liked making friends with everyone there.  He definitely didn't need one of those.
