Winter always got her down, she couldn't have picnics with her friends in the freezing cold snow.  She sat in her bed, staring at the ceiling for a couple moments, thinking of weird things she would later forget. Usual morning thoughts. She then, finally getting to the right of mind, looked out her window to see if it was morning. It was the dead of night, with darkness shrouding the town of Ponyville like a mask. Sighing in resentment of waking herself so early, she looked over at her assistant's bed. Seeing only sheets, and no Spike she began to do what she did best. She started to panic. "SPIKE? SPIKE" she yelled, her voice was still groggy so she sounded as though she had a cold. She galloped fast to the door in frustration. The door opened, making Twilight jump and shriek. "It's just us!" Rarity said. Spike stood next to her, obviously scared. He didn't think she would be up this early. "WHERE WERE YOU SPIKE?" Twilight screamed, closing the door with her purple magic. "I--I wa--Rarity wanted to try these strawberry smoothies, and so did I, so we went after you fell asleep, and...sorry Twilight I didn't think you'd be up this early!" he was chattering, his hands under his mouth. "I didn't think I'd be up this early either. You could have told me, I wouldn't mind" "You looked busy, and you fell right asleep, so me and my Spikey- Wikey went to the place without your permission, we didn't want to bother you." Rarity said, in her usual tone of voice, she was obviously not upset at all. Twilight just rolled her eyes "Whatever. I don't care, it's fine" ending the argument (finally.) She used her magic and picked up a book from her shelf and began to read. Rarity said her goodbyes and left Twilight's cottage. Spike still held his strawberry smoothie and was slurping it while reading over Twilight's shoulder. A drip of the smoothie spilled on the book she was reading, and immediately the little purple dragon got into defensive position. "Sorry Twilight!" he was chattering again. "It's fine Spike, this book is boring anyways. I've read it a million times!" she emphasized the words a million times and sighed again. She slowly looked around. "In fact, I've read all these books more than once, I need new books!" Spike could smell a bad plan of Twilight's brewing, so he began to badger. "What are you going to do?" "Go to the Canterlot library!" Spike started to argue. "You will come with me. Now come on!" Twilight pulled him out the door. Twilight began to trot silently down a road, leaving Spike with his finger up and his mouth open. Twilight rolled her eyes, as a purple glow began to surround Spike. She pulled him with her magic. "How will we get to Canterlot, Twi?" he whisper-screamed. Twilight smiled deviously. "Rainbow Dash" she whispered.
