Chapters "Oh crap, Oh crap, Oh crap!" The general grabbed him by the collar bone and heaved him over the edge. Seconds passed before Walker registered what happened. His life was going to end, as fast as that. He started screaming, he just let the feelings wash over him. Frustration, anger, regret. As he watched the platform he saw six flashes, six objects then followed his descent.
The objects caught up to him easily as they were not trying to slow their free-fall. What he saw tormented him. Burnt, charred remains of his squad would accompany him to his grave. A thousand things crossed his mind as to how it all could've been prevented, but he only felt an overwhelming guilt. Those soldiers were dead because of him.
He decided it then and there. The platform now a speck in the metal sky, he closed his eyes and embraced death. None may know his demise, but if there was an afterlife, he would enter it with bravery. He felt and heard the crunches of his teammates and then quickly followed.

"This dress is just delightful!" Chimed Rarity. Applejack swiftly replied, "Yes it's wonderful, now can I take the darned thing off!" Rarity gave a sigh and nodded, before the nod was complete Applejack was already tugging at the zipper. "Stop! You'll rip it!" Rarity rushed over to assist Applejack, "You must be more careful dear, this took time and effort to make."
"We'll I'm not the one that makes a dress outta five layers o' wool, I'm bakin' in this thing!" The dress finally came off and Applejack emerged, disgruntled, and hot, she bid Rarity a farewell and rushed to Sweet Apple acres, mumbling along the way about stupid favors.
Caught in her rambles, she failed to notice a bright, fiery, large object hurtling towards the town square.
Only until folk started screaming did Applejack notice. Her first instinct was to run, but her heart skipped a beat when she realized it was heading right for Rarity's. She hightailed it, as fast as her legs could carry her, it was no use. All she could do was watch as it rocketed towards the inevitable.
[••] "Applejack has some nerve not assisting me to clean up." Rarity grumbled as she picked fabric scraps with her magic. Depositing the scraps in a bin, sat stopped to marvel at the cleanliness of her boutique. Too bad. The ceiling caved inward and exploded, sending Rarity tumbling through the air and colliding with wall, instantly blacking out.
She woke up in pitch black darkness, she reached for the pain on her head and felt wet fur. She heard voices, screams calling her name. She tried with all her might to call back, but couldn't muster the strength. She wanted to just lie there, forever.
She stopped to close her eyes, all things seemed to stop around her, her friends, family what would they think of her actions! She mustn't just lie down, give up, while others could be hurt. She had to do something.
Before any action could be mustered, cracks of light started seeping through the darkness, the rays of sunshine brought hope. She clawed at the rays, gouging larger and larger holes. Something on the outside assisted her, with a final heave, the rubble was cleared and she was blinded by sunlight.
Rarity savored the warmth, and turned to thank whomever helped her. She laid eyes upon the towering creature and her heart jumped to her throat. "Hello." Rumbled the massive creature. All she could do was reply with a squeak, but the creature seemed to stagger, it backed off. Then fell into the dust.

First story, so all types of critique is accepted. If you have a quarrel, please comment. I can fix that.
He felt calm. He was finally at peace, it all ended. The stress, pain, agony . He could lie back and rest now. Was this the afterlife? Nothing at all? No, he heard rushing wind, smelled fire.
Walker was saddened by truth. "Well, I guess I'm goin' to hell." He said to no-one in particular. All of the sudden the whole world closed around him, tighter and tighter like a massive vice. When he thought it couldn't get any tighter he heard the rushing wind from earlier.
His other senses started to come back. He could feel his armor around him, a subconscious comfort. It pained him to open his eyes, he was blinded by a beautiful blue sky and the fireball of his arrival.
His suit was getting hotter, too hot! His helmet's HUD was blaring, he was being cooked like a turtle in a shell. Was this the true end? A ray of hope, crushed by gravity?
He couldn't see the ground from his angle so he mustered up all his strength an spun, to face the ground feet away. Again all he heard was a sickening crush before it all went black.

Walker awakened to an assault on his senses, pain everywhere, the smell of burnt rubber. He moved to clap his hands to test hearing but found he was pinned by rubble. The problem wasn't weight, it was position. He appeared to have fallen on his side. His left arm pinned; he had no means of escape.
He thought of digging around the rubble atop his arm. Yes! He could feel the rubble loosening. He could now maneuver his left arm by a few inches. Inches grew and grew until, with a grand push and groan of metal, his hand burst from the debris.
As planned earlier, he clapped in front of his visor. He could hear faint cracks but still an agitating buzzing. He decided to lie there, his hearing started clearing up and he could hear murmurs of a crowd. He had obviously hit a building, judging by the rubble. This was strange, he knew for a fact that there was no established buildings below his last position.
As he pondered he heard a scraping behind him, he looked to see the rubble further on fidgeting. Someone was trapped! He placed a hand on his right knee, braced, and pushed. He heard gasps of a crowd, one screamed. He couldn't see where the crowd was; for the dust imparied his vision. Every muscle screamed in protest. He started to see black at the edges of his vision. No! He willed himself on. Someone was in trouble, and they didn't have spartan armor to protect them.
He crossed his crater in three strides and assisted the person in their escape. It was much needed because the person seemed to double their efforts as he dug. After sufficient rubble was lifted, the person rose and kicked a large dust cloud, He saw their form rise and called out, "Hello?"
What he layed eyes upon baffled him, a small quadruped stared at him, fear written upon it's face. It gave a pitiful squeak and scrunched its eyes up. At first Walker didn't understand what the creature was doing until he realized it was bracing for a blow. He decided to back off , lest the creature be spurred to attack. The crunch of boots made the white animal cringe. It hesitated , and then finally looked up to see it's would-be assailant.
"Y-You aren't going to h-hurt me?" Walker was startled by its statement. His mind reeled, another sentient race? Images of another covenant threat kept to mind and he immeadiatly reached for his pistol...which wasn't there. "Hell!" He stated as he kept backwards and swiftly ascended the craters edge. He slipped on the way up and cracked his visor, cursing for his clumsiness he accended the final few feet and looked upon hundreds of the same creature in the crater. Several of them screamed and ran, others backed away and gawked at him. Several ran...they couldn't be hostile, unless there related to grunts. He then deemed them non-hostile as grunts would be very brave with a hundreds at ther side.
It seemed as if every eye in town stared at him, it was unsettling. The creatures would flinch at his every move but still stare. He ascended the crater and looked towards the forest. With his eyes, not his helmet, lest the creatures catch his plan. One finally came to retrieve its comrade and he knew thIs was the time. He grabbed a clump of pebbles, hurled it at the crowd, and ran towards the forest. All executed in a second, Palmer would be proud. It was clean so far, he heard screams, and no one pursued.
He stopped at the edge of the forest, only to come upon a cabin. He cursed himself and backtracked to a bush when his motion sensor picked up signatures. The door to the cabin opened and two horses emerged. "Thanks for the bird feed Fluttershy." The purple one stated. This very much unsettled Walker as he still hadnt grown used to these...things talking.
The other creature he assumed to be Fluttershy thanked the other horse and bid her a merry way. Walker waited till the door closed and the purple horse was well of his sensors before bolting into the bushes. Unbeknownst to him a small rabbit watched it all.

Twilight shifted the bird feed bag around so she could read the label. After she triple checked that it met her need and specifications she moved it aside. What she saw was horrible, devastation. Rarity's boutique was demolished, a crowd gathered round the rubble. Greatly concerns for her friends well-being she high tailed it to the edge of the crowd. She bustled and pushed aside many a pony before coming to the aide of a very shaken Rarity. Sweetie belle was at her side. "What happens here!" Twilight frantically stated. Many a murmur was emerging from the crowd. Rarity whimpered a reply, "M-monster, exploded, ran into the forest." She gripped consciousness one last time me fainted in sweetie belles hooves.
