//-------------------------------------------------------// Dusk -by dusksparks- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 1 Dusk CHAPTER 1 Long, long ago Queen Sparks and King Eclipse ruled the lands of Equestria. Their three daughters lovingly looked up to them and longed to rule the kingdom one day, just like their parents. Their eldest, Princess Celestia, practiced daily in order to successfully raise the sun like her mother. Their youngest, Princess Dusk, was given the important task of putting up the stars at night along with beautiful constellations. This left Princess Luna in charge of preparing to raise the moon one day like her father. Every night after Luna helped her father, King Eclipse, raise the moon, the youngest would race up as fast as she could, practicing decorating the sky with stars. One night, the youngest princess went up to display the stars on her own for the first time, but an evil spell was mysteriously cast, causing her to be trapped inside a star. The other sisters, along with the Queen and King, grieved for years, until they realized, they could not rule the kingdom unless the put the past behind them. They hired a powerful unicorn to create a spell to make them, along with all the other ponies in equestria, forget all about the younger princess. The young yet powerful unicorn cast her spell easily upon the two younger sisters but the spell went terribly wrong on the King and Queen, causing them to vanish. Princess Luna and Princess Celestia took over the kingdom and have ruled it ever since. This is where our story begins. “Look at the stars, aren’t they gorgeous?” Cadence whispered to Shining Armor. “Yes,” he replied, “but not as beautiful as you.” Cadence smiled and her cheeks turned rosier than usual as rubbed her nose on Shining Armor’s cheek. A shooting star shot by as quick and a bolt of lightning, “Make a wish,” Cadence said as she shut her eyes tight. “Help!” a young voice called from the distance. Cadence opened her eyes quickly as she worriedly looked over at Shining Armor. The rose, heading towards the cry for help. A young filly was sprawled on the damp grass. “Where am I,” she asked. Shining Armor and Cadence stood in awe, unable to mutter a word. She was a small unicorn filly, but they had no idea how she ended up right outside of ponyville late at night. The young filly stood, showing a pair of wings, she was an alicorn. “What’s your name sweetie,” Shining Armor asked. “My name? My name is Dusk, princess of the stars.” Princess Cadence glanced at Shining Armor before saying, “One second honey.” Shining Armor turned around with her and began quickly asked, “Do you think she is alright?” Cadence worriedly glanced back at the filly. The alicorn was young, she was white with a light blue mane and turquoise eyes that shimmered in the dark. Cadence turned back around and knelt down next to her. “I am Cadence, and Shining Armor and I were just spending the evening in Ponyville. We are going to take you to our friend, Twilight’s house, she will take care of you, ok?” The filly was confused but nodded. That filly was I. //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 3 CHAPTER 3 I felt a gust of wind flow through my mane and I opened my eyes to see a sky blue pegasus flying rapidly towards me. I looked down to find myself hurtling to my doom. I spread my wings, using a sonic rainboom to get back up to the cloud city. The pegasus looked up in awe and her jaw dropped. Her rainbow mane swung around as she glanced side to side to see if anypony had seen. “What’s the matter?” I asked. “You-you just did a sonic rain...” her voice trailed off. She flew up higher and leaned in close to me. “Hey kid, how did you know how to do that?” I looked at her confused, “I have been able to do that since...forever. I needed to master it so one day I can complete a sonic starboom so I can put up the stars at night.” “I hate to ask but, do you mind not doing that, so far I am the only pegasus in equestria...besides you...who can complete it and I REALLY want to meet the wonderbolts!” She squealed. I nodded, wondering what a “wonderbolt” was. “Oh, this is cloudsdale,” she said, “come on, I’ll show you my house.” Her house was a mansion, she showed me inside and showed me her bedroom. I flew in and admired everything, a poster of the so called wonderbolts hung on the wall and she quickly slipped a wonderbolt stuffed animal into a side table drawer. Before I knew it evening had come and I figured I better find a place to stay. I waved bye and she screamed after me, “HEY KID! One day you will have to teach me that starboom trick!” I giggled and flew back down to ponyville. I bumped into a large shadowy figure and it retreated into a nearby bush. I backed away slowly only to bump into another silhouette. A black shawl slid off the pony and she screeched. “Oh! Sorry I said.” Her horn glew in the and sparkled like a shiny diamond. “Oh my!” she said, “Sorry for not introducing myself, I am Rarity, that is Fluttershy,” she said, pointing to the shaking bush, “this is Apple Jack, and you are?” “I’m dusk...princess of...” I quieted down, remembering what Twilight had said about there being no star princess. “nothing...nevermind.” “TWILIGHT! We found her!” Apple-whatever yelled. Twilight come running as fast as she could. “Dusk!” Twilight said excitedly, “I have VERY important news.”. //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 4 CHAPTER 4 Twilight handed my a book. It had a thick, leather binding and a torn cover with a golden star on the front. I opened it and the pages crackled. It read, “To whom it may concern, long ago the princess of the stars had a spell cast on her. Later, a spell was cast to make equestria forget about her lost. See page.” It ended there. The rest of the pages were burnt and blackened. “I am taking you to see the princess.” We got on board a deserted train and I rested my head on Twilight’s lap before dozing off. I carried me inside the castle and nudged me with her horn to wake me up. Large, golden doors open and two beautiful mares appeared. “TIA!!!!!! LUNA!” I screamed as I ran forward and hugged them.” A look of shock spread across their faces. “Who is this, Twilight?” Tia asked. “Tia, it’s me! Dusk!” I said back excitedly, I remembered it all, the night I earned my cutie mark, three gold stars, I was trapped but I knew my sisters would get me back. “Where’s mom? and dad?” “Umm... Princess, here.” Twilight said, handing the book to princess Celestia. The Princess lifted it with her horn and read. “Twilight, I believe this is an old mare's tale. But, who is this young filly with you?” I sniffed. “Tia?” I murmured as tears streamed down my face, “don’t you remember me?” Tia’s eyes shifted from side to side. “Princess, Cadence brought her to my one night and her name is Dusk. She believed she was the princess of the stars.” “Many young filly’s love that book, I am sure. I am sure that when you were litte you liked to play pretend also.” Twilight Sparkle nodded. “I’m sorry Princess, thank you for your time. She took started heading towards the door, motioning me to follow. “NO!” I screamed, “I am not leaving my sisters again! Please! Don’t you remeber me, Tia? Luna? Anybody...” “Sorry honey, I am sure your mother is worried about you. I am sorry, you should visit again sometime.” “Where’s mom and dad, they will remember me!” I sobbed, “Please! Where are they!” “The king and queen have not been around for quite some time.” Luna spoke. “Where is your family?” “HERE! Right here!” I sniffed and wiped my eyes. Twilight whispered, “I don’t think she has one.” The princesses eyes widened. “You spend the night here and we will get you on your feet, we can find you a nice home in canterlot.” 20 years later “And that is how mommy met the princess.” I finished off my bedtime story once again. “Mom, do you really think you are the lost princess?” my youngest daughter, Tia, said. “Yes, nothing they ever said stopped me from believing that.” “One day, I promise I will show the princesses, and show them you ARE their sister, after all you ARE an alicorn.”I smiled and switched off the lights. “Goodnight.” Find me on google plus: https://plus.google.com/u/0/102647249446638706559/posts The Brony Community: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/115473326099483602055 //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 2 CHAPTER 2 I was confused, but I trusted the couple. Before I knew it we had arrived at a library, well a tree, or a library. I didn’t know. They led me inside where a purple unicorn greeted me, along with a baby...dragon? I had never met a dragon, I was always told they were evil and horrible creatures. But this one was different. He smiled before shutting his lime green eyes and falling asleep in a small basket on the floor. “Hi there,” said the unicorn. I tilted my head to find a pair of wings hidden. The mare blushed, folding her wings tighter. “A-are you a princess too?” I asked, “I am Dusk, princess of the stars.” She sat me down, explaining how Princess Celestia had made her into a princess but that she had never heard of a princess of stars. Princess Celestia...Princess Celestia. The name echoed in my head but I ignored it and found my way upstairs to a smaller bed beside Twilight’s. I tossed and turned the entire night until it was dawn. I rubbed my eyes with my hooves and stood, stretching my wings. No one was home. I was scared, did they hate me, why don’t I have a family? I sighed and decided to head outside to explore. It was early and a couple of shops were opening. I looked side to side, my eyes grew wider as I was fascinated. My hooves touched the pebble floor and my eyes grew larger as I examined the entire town. The sun was beginning to rise and the bits of sun peeking through the clouds warmed my back and I stood still, soaking it all in. I saw a sofa clerk selling quills, asparagus stands, and... something grabbed me and pulled me inside a cozy room. It seemed to be a bakery. I scratched my head and looked up to find a excited, bouncing mare. She was a bubblegum pink with a...well, fluffy mane. I handed me a cake and gave a speech which she spoke so quickly I could only catch, "New....friends...don’t...know...anyone...cake...party!” I nodded before rushing out the door. I had heard from somepony not to trust ponies who hand out free candy, I applied that lesson here. I carried on, trying to find a place to stay. I looked up to find the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I gorgeous city in the sky. Pegasus buzzed around it, circlings it’s pearl, white clouds that seemed to be calling my name. I bolted upwards without thinking and...CRASH! All went black.
