Celestia found something. Something that fell from the sky, a year ago, that she had no idea what it was or what to do with it. So she hid it beneath Canterlot, deeper even than the Crystal Caverns and beneath a mountain of spells that would make Discord think twice. After having hidden it for so long, she has decided to reveal it to her student Twilight. But what is this thing from the heavens? And what will it bring to those that come close?

Elsewhere, the beings who originally lost it have found a trace. Creatures older than Equestria, older even than Celestia and Luna themselves. The survivors of a species so ancient, they are forgotten by all but the oldest of beings on dying worlds.

And they want it back, no matter the cost.
