I tried to get up on to my hooves with no luck. SMASH! "HAHA! You can't leave me! I have too much money! That's all you care about!" The cream- coloured pegasus laughed with a demonic smile on his face, his wings spread to show his superiority over me. I rose to my hooves and spat back, "Look, you bastard! I have a right to do what ever the fuck I want. You treat me like shit!" He struck me with all his might, nearly breaking the forehoof I used to shield myself. "STEP AWAY FROM HIM!" shouted a deep voice from behind me. Hoof steps came closer, white hooves blocking my view of my now ex-coltfriend. "Or what? You gonna hit me? You haven’t got the balls to do it!" he barked back, taking a daring step forward. WHACK! Blood splattered across my face. I watched in horror as my saviour beat Rainfall to the floor. "Thank you! I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come up!" I smiled and hugged my big brother. "No problem, kiddo. You know you oughta be more careful with this sort." He smiled. "If I weren't passing this way, you might have been in a whole lot of trouble." He trotted over to Rainfall. "Here, let me help you with that," I said, nudging him in the side. "HEY! Wake up!" "Huh? What the?" He shot to his hooves."Whoa! Oh, shit! I'm outta here!" "I don't want you near my brother again! Do you understand?!" my brother exclaimed, hoping that he would actually stay away this time. “Are you okay, Midnight?” “Yeah, I’ll be fine. My head hurts a little though,” I said, rubbing a scar on my head and checking to see if it was bleeding. “Dammit, I’m bleeding. Do we have any plasters or anything?” Heroic Midnight looked at my head, moving bits of my dark violet and midnight blue mane away. “I think we do. Come on, let’s look.” My brother and I have lived together ever since my parents were killed in the Changeling invasion, leaving me with little in their will, the only things they left were family heirlooms like my great grandmothers necklace and a small amount of money. I thank the Elements of Harmony and Princess Cadence for saving Canterlot that day, but I wish they had done it sooner. I guess they did it as fast as they could, considering that the streets were overcome with swarms of Changelings. Life with my brother is hard work. We’re thinking of moving to Ponyville where I won’t get bullied as much for being a blankflank and, on top of that, bisexual. I’m the only one in my class not to have their cutiemark. My brother's is a sky-blue shield with a dark purple moon. The shield represents that he will protect his family no matter the cost, and the moon shows his love for the night sky. I hope mine is like my brother's when it appears. He is my hero and my idol. When we got downstairs, Heroic looked in the medicine box for the plasters. The room would be empty if it weren't for the daffodil and daisy sandwich and medicine box. "Ahh, here they are,” he said with a sigh of relief, holding the plasters in his magic field. “Brother? When are we moving to Ponyville? I can’t stand how much ponies hate me in this town.” Tears came to my eyes at memories of bullies pushing and shoving me around, shouting rude, evil names at me. “Not much longer. In a few hours, actually. I just need to pack this medicine box up again,” he replied, showing me the picture of the house. It had a beautiful exterior. It looked like most homes in Ponyville, just a little smaller, and a definite difference from the glamorous house we live in currently "I’m all packed, except for my book and school bags. I’d like to read my book on the train, but I just need to say goodbye to my friends,” I said, forcing a smile and starting to walk towards the door, levitating my saddlebags over me. "Just be careful, alright?" There was a worried look on his face. "I will. I'll be home in about an hour." I hugged my only remaining family member tightly. "I promise" ~ I galloped out of the city limits to meet my only friend for the final time, she was a ruby pegasus and had stopped me from killing myself on more than one occasion. "Hey, sorry I'm late. Rainfall won't leave me alone lately." Tears started falling down my face. Vengeful Dagger pulled me closer with her wing. "Look, sweetie, it's going to be alright! I will write everyday and visit every birthday, I promise." She wiped away my tears."I'll miss you." But I love you. I smiled and looked into her beautiful emerald eyes. "But I love you..." I said aloud. Oh shit, I said it. "WHAT?!" She looked at me, shocked and jaw agape, as if I had just killed somepony. "You love me?" she inquired, her voice more soothing this time I've bucked it up now, haven't I? "Errm... I... It's true. I love you. I have for a while." I turned away to hide from her inevitably bad reaction. I felt her pull me closer again. Our lips touched. She closed her eyes and deepened the kiss. It must have lasted about a minute before she pulled away. "I love you, too." She used her soft comforting voice, which always brought tears to my eyes . "Dagger? Can you see me off? Please, it would mean everything to me," I begged. Please say yes! "Sure I will. I wouldn't miss it for the world." "Come on, let's go see my brother," I said excitedly, as she pulled me in close with her wing. ~ We ran into the house as fast as we could to spend those last few precious moments together. "Whoa! Hold up!" my brother exclaimed, hurrying things around the room and packing hastily. "Where are you going?" "Oh, sorry Heroic. We're going up to my room 'till I have to go, if that's alright." I put on my best puppy-dog eyes. Alright, have fun. I'll shout up to you when it's time to go." We hurried upstairs into my room and locked the door. Dagger asked, "Midnight? Can I ask you something?" I answered, "Of course. What's wrong?" "How long have you felt like this about me?" "For as long as I can remember. You were my first crush." I pecked her on the lips and moved to pack what little I had left into suitcases. Please don't freak out. Please. She had a look on her muzzle that would turn the warmest heart to ice. "I can't believe you told me this now! Of all times, you choose now, the day you leave. I love you, but we can't be together." Tears slowly formed in her eyes. "It's too much...promise me you will write and visit..." "I promise I will. I'm sorry I didn't tell you...I was just afriad of your reaction. I didn't want to be cast aside as somepony you used to know if you didn't feel the same. And we can still be together...it would just be a long-distance relationship." I hugged Vengeful Dagger very tightly, as if this was the last time I would ever see her again. "MIDNIGHT! IT'S TIME TO GO!" Herioc shouted from below. "Come on, let's go," Dagger said, holding me close with her wing. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 chapter 2 I awoke to find that I was alone. Looking around my brightly colored room, I trotted over to the bathroom, I noticed a note on the mirror. hmm, I don't remember leaving that there. It read. Dear Dagger, Can you meet me just outside the Canterlot gates, it's urgent! From Midnight Star I knew exactly why he wanted to meet me but I was confused as to why it was outside the limits of the city and not our usual meeting place, at the park next to the swingsHang on a sec... How did this get in here? Did he sneak in while i was asleep? I looked around the bathroom to look for a point in which he might have entered , probably through the window. I went back to my room and stared at the darkest colored wall, it was a dark shade of purple, I had always liked this wall, I only looked at it when I felt upset and depressed, I think it was because that's where me and Midnight shared our first kiss. ~ We were having our third sleep over in a month, we had just become friends and was getting much closer. "hey dagger, erm...have you ever had feeling for someone you know you shouldn't have?" he had asked me and I remember it scaring me, I don't know why maybe it was because I had a crush on him at that time. I shrugged "yeah but I don't think they will like me in the same way....Plus I gave up on that stuff a while ago" after that we had sneaked some of the Sweet Apple Cider and Applejack Daniels that my sister kept hidden in her room from mother, and after a few shot of Applejack Daniels I started to get a bit light headed, he had been holding me for an hour and I could tell he was already to drunk to know what he was doing, so when he leaned in to kiss me I tried to resist but he just pushed hard enough to break my barrier. "Midnight, you don't know what you're doing, you don't really want me. believe me" I remember saying. He pressed his lips against mine, I don't remember what happened after that, all I know is that it was the best night of my short life. ~ I looked around my room at the things around me and found my diary, which had been lost since a week after the kiss. I always assumed my sister stole it after I told her to go kill herself for hitting me with it. The first page I opened was from the night before the kiss. Dear diary, Today was an amazing day me and Midnight pulled a prank on some of his bullies they don't know it was us yet but I'm sure they will, the look on their face was priceless and Midnight seemed much more confident afterwards. He is so cute I think I might like him as more than just a friend, I must be going crazy HAHA!! yeah that boats sailed awhile ago. He's coming over tomorrow maybe I should tell him, I don't know I don't to be thrown to the sidelines as just a friend if he doesn't like me back it would kill me from the inside. If only I could read his mind then I could know plus I'm pretty sure he might be gay or something because he sure as hell acts a bit like that sometimes I put it next to my bed to make sure I didn't lose it I couldn't read much more after that the words were to poorly written ~ I rushed down the stairs, nearly knocking the family portrait off the wall in my hurry, when I reached the door I picked the keys in my mouth and closed the door behind me, ensuring I had locked it before taking flight towards the city limits. When I reached the limits Midnight wasn't anywhere to be found, I decided I would wait for a few minutes before I left. After about 10 minutes I was contemplating leaving when he finally arrived, a tear had escaped from his magenta colored eyes "Hey, sorry I'm late. Rainfall won't leave me alone lately." tear started to pour out of his eyes like water falls, his beautiful sky blue coat had started to soak up most of the liquid falling down his face. I reached my wing around her attempting to comfort him "Look, sweetie, it's going to be alright! I will write everyday and visit every birthday, I promise."  I started to wipe away his tears and that's when I heard him say something that I was sure was my imagination "WHAT?!?" The look on his face told me the answer I had heard him correctly. I never knew he actually felt this way about me, I had always mused that he might have felt something towards me but that was just a foalish dream "Errm... I... It's true. I love you. I have for a while" he turned away hiding his face from me. I reached my wing out once again to pull him closer to me, that moment I knew what I had to do. Our lips touched. I closed my eyes deepening the kiss, letting my actions speak for me. Pulling away I said "I love you too" instantly softening my voice knowing that I had just said the truth I had kept bottled up for what seemed like an eternity, when in all reality it was about 3 years. "Dagger? Can you see me off? Please, it would mean everything to me," He gave me his best puppy dog eyes before I replied "Sure I will. I wouldn't miss it for the world" "Come on, let's go see my brother," he said excitement clear in his voice. I pulled him close to my body with my wing before we set off walking to his house. ~ When we reached the door I heard his brother rushing around the house packing the last little necessities he could get before the train came for them later. When we opened the door and started trotting upstairs Heroic Midnight said "Whoa! Hold up!"  he exclaimed looking at Midnight with a concerned look.  "Where are you going?" "Oh, sorry Heroic. We're going up to my room 'till I have to go, if that's alright." I don't know how many times I had seen her use her puppy dog eyes to get out of trouble after a fight at school but it always seemed to work. "Alright, have fun. I'll shout up to you when it's time to go." We hurried upstairs and when we got in Midnight's bedroom he locked the door. "Midnight? Can I ask you something?" I said looking into his eyes, the fur around his eyes still damp from crying. "Of course. What's wrong?" he looked nervous "How long have you felt like this about me?" "For as long as I can remember. You were my first crush." he said giving me a quick peck on the lips before packing what little he had left into a suitcase. I gave him the coldest look ever "I can't believe you told me this now! Of all times, you choose now, the day you leave. I love you, but we can't be together." tears slowly formed in my eyes.I can't believe this. I should have told him too."it's too much...promise me you will write and visit..." I could tell his heart sank after that I promise I will. I'm sorry I didn't tell you...I was just afraid of your reaction. I didn't want to be cast aside as somepony you used to know if you didn't feel the same. And we can still be together...it would just be a long-distance relationship." he came closer pulling me into a tight hug, I felt like this was the end of us but I hoped he would stay true to his word. "MIDNIGHT! IT'S TIME TO GO!" Herioc shouted from below. "Come on, let's go," I said pulling midnight closer with my wing. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Chapter 3 "I'm sorry but I have to go now, I'll send you a letter when I get unpacked. I love you " fighting back the tears welling up in my eyes as I slowly climbed onto the train, Vengeful Dagger just sat on the pavement tears slowly making their way down her face. "I love you too!" she exclaimed as she tackled me to the floor in a tight embrace "please...I have to go" I managed to choke out "I'm sorry" she rose to her hooves, helping me up in the process, "just promise to write....please" "I promise, I have to go now or Heroic will get mad" I said slowly making my way back on the train and to my seat. The trains final whistle blew and we started moving. I'll miss you. ~ The train ride was long but not long enough for the night to take it's reign, Celestia's sun was low in the sky. Looking out of the window I saw how beautiful the evening sky truly was, I was normally inside the house reading at this point of the day. the train pulled into the station, as I slowly wandered over to the door I caught sight of a pink earth pony, with a curly pink mane bouncing her way past the train and into town. "brother, wake up we're here" I whispered nudging him slightly all I got in reply was a moan, rolling my eyes I said a bit louder "brother, get up we are here" "huh...what?" he replied finally coming round "are we there? already?" he said blinking rapidly and slowly rising to his hooves. "come on,NOW" I said with a stern voice, resulting in my brother moving quickly to get our stuff and heading out of the train. Well, my new life begins here. ~ Walking through the streets I suddenly remembered that this is where the elements of harmony live, not looking where I was walking I knocked into a lavender unicorn. "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry miss I wasn't looking where I was walking" "don't worry about it, I'm Twilight Sparkle, I live in the towns library" she said smiling. "wait... you're THE Twilight Sparkle as in the element of magic?!?" I said showing excitement in my voice. First day here and I already meet the element of magic, this has to be a dream. "yep that's me, are you new in town?" she said still smiling "yes miss Twilight, me and my brother just moved in to the small house next door to sugar cube corner, I'm Midnight Star" I said holding out a hoof to shake. "well it's nice to meet you Midnight Star, I gotta run bye" she shook my hoof and left. I continued walking around town trying to familiarize myself with the rest of the town, I noticed that sugarcube seems to be the place where everypony hangs out. I walked over towards the window to take a quick look inside and the first thing I noticed sent a shiver down my spine. Three young fillies getting picked on, by a pale magenta colored filly with a slightly curly mane that is a light shade of violet with white streaks. "stupid blankflanks you're not even worth the air I breath, never mind a donation for your summer harvest day parade float!" she spat at them, annoyance showing in her voice. The light orange pegasus buffed her chest out, stepped forward and argued back "we weren't asking you we don't want your dirty money, anyway you probably stole it from the kids at school!" spreading her small wings out "you're just a bitch Diamond Tiara!" A yellow earth pony appeared from behind her "come on leave it scoots" "no I won't leave it bloom, its time we should teach her that she isn't all high and mighty like she thinks she is! I WILL NOT let her control us any more" "if I were you I would take your disgrace of a friend's advice blankflank" Diamond Tiara butted in. "you treat us like shit it's about time you get what you deserve" she shouted at her defending her friend. A small white unicorn appeared behind the yellow earth pony she had a mane with two different shades of lilac "yeah...Why do you target us only? we've never done anything to offend you!" she shouted with a quiet voice but it showed some sort of authority and truth. "Why don't you shut your noice maker before I shut it for you!" The pale magenta colored filly shouted annoyance showing in her voice. "you are a disgrace to this world you should just kill yourself" If you looked at me now I was sure you would be able to see steam coming from my ears.I should go in and help. I walked in and shouted "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO HER LIKE THAT!" she looked at me with wide surprised eyes, along with the trio of blankflanks. I slowly made my way closer, each hoof step I made she made 2 towards me, I saw hatred in her eyes.Looks like I've already made an enemy "and who might you be? A new blankflank for the group? Eh?" making her final move closer. I saw a light orange blur run past her face and land right next to me, at my aid in a battle that I could easily win, but it never hurts to have back-up, "you think you two are so tough eh?" I ducked under a hoof swinging towards my head just in time and fast enough to deal a fatal blow to under her muzzle, the sound teeth clashing together satisfying enough to know that one blow was the winning one. "YOU BASTARD! I'll get you for that" she spat in reply, blood splattering on the floor as she spoke. swinging another blow, yellow pair of hooves clashing into her side. "AHH!!" she screeched collapsing to the floor. "It's time you finally got what you deserve Tiara" turning to me "thank ya' stranger, lets get outta here before she gets back up" We shot right out of the cafe and straight down an alley way, it had a foul smell of rotting food and rat urine, but it was safer than staying in that cafe waiting for our next beating. "thank ya' stranger, ya' really helped back there it's about time she got what she deserved" the yellow earth pony said " 'am Applebloom, an' this is Scootaloo an' Sweetie Belle" "hey I'm Midnight Star it's nice to meet you Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, I'm new in town" I explained with a shy smile I held out a hoof to shake. "hey Midnight" a squeaky voice said exitedly, she took my hoof. "hey you don't have your cutie mark either" I felt my eyes grow larger "errm...yeah" I shied back. "why don't ya' join the Cutie Mark Crusaders, we're it's founding members" "technically we're it's only members, but we're always recruiting" Scootaloo explained. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 Chapter 4 We galloped out of the alley and parted ways, I had promised to meet them at Sweet Apple Acres after school tomorrow, but for now I headed home galloping the whole way. "woah, slow down Midnight , we need to have a little chat" at that moment the pink filly from earlier limped round the corner, she was beaten and bruised "this filly tells me you caused all this, is that true?" "she was picking on all these other little fillies and I couldn't just sit there and watch" I explained Please believe me Heroic, please "even ask Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo" "no I wasn't...I-I was about to...donate to their Summer Harvest Day Parade...float and you...just came and attacked me!" she lied, her face showed the pain it caused her to say them words. "Midnight, I want you to apologise, not only to her but to her family, and you're not allowed any of your things for 2 weeks" "Heroic you have to believe me, I did it to protect my new friends" I pleaded "please believe me" "I'm sorry midnight, you still hurt this poor filly and you need to be taught a lesson!" my brother obviously irritated. I decided I'd listen to avoid angering him anymore. "FINE" I shouted at him , stomping away up into the house, I realised I didn't know which was my room yet so I just hid in the bathroom. ~ "MIDNIGHT?" My brother shouted, I had been locked in the bathroom for 3 hours, ignoring everything Heroic said. "I'm not coming out, you don't believe anything I say, even if it's me that's hurt" I shouted tears began welling up in my eyes.He never listens to me, he doesn't believe a thing I say if it concerns me and another pony I looked around for anything I could remotely hurt myself with, after many, many memories flood my mind of ponies picking on me, hurting me. "why didn't mom and dad leave me with auntie Luna?" Luna is my godmother but I prefer to call her my aunt, my mom was best friends with Luna when she made her return, thanks to the Elements of Harmony, though I had already been born I didn't have any godparents so she made Luna mine. "Midnight, I don't believe you because most of the time you don't tell the truth and because I'm your brother I'm directly related to you" Heroic truthfully explained "what? even when I'm hurt and bleeding, because I got jumped on the way home?" I said, remembering my own personal blade was in my saddlebags. Searching through my saddlebags I found my it, pulling it out with my magic, the blade gleaming in the dull light from the window, "I'm sorry Heroic!" I said, slicing the blade across my foreleg quickly, blood pouring out, Sweet blade, you are my only friend right now. "MIDNIGHT! LET ME IN!" "I've already done it, I'm sorry....I'll clean it up" I said. I opened the door and limped towards my brother. "I'm sorry, which is my room?" He ignored my question and quickly got some tissue for my abnormally bloody foreleg. "Midnight give me the knife" he said cleaning my wound. I handed it him "I'm so sorry Heroic" I said tears slowly making their way down my face. "I love you" "I know you're sorry and I love you too, that's why I have to take your knife off you for good, Your room is that one, it's bigger than your old room" he pointed to the one next to the bathroom. "I'm so sorry, can I get some paper to write to Vengeful Dagger?" "I've already put some in your room" He replied, disappointment showing in his voice. ~ It must have been a few hours before I finally picked up the quill and started to write because Luna had won the battle for reign over the sky for the night, until Celestia came back to claim her spot. Dear Vengeful Dagger I've had a shitty first day here, I've already got into a fight... I'm sorry... But I couldn't handle it you know my brother doesn't listen to me, so I didn't listen to him........I've done it again I'm so sorry, I love you so much. Anyway how have you been? please write soon. Lots of love Midnight Star I rolled up the scroll and used the spell Luna taught me to send the message, it vanished into my blue and purple flames.I hope this one makes it to her first, not her dad. I took my first proper look around my room the walls where a beautiful shade of midnight blue, the same colour as part of my two shade mane, and the wall to my right was the other shade of my mane. This room is quite nice I like it, it's so calm. I slowly wandered over to my bed and sat on my haunches, there was still a slight pain in my foreleg but it had died down mostly and I had stopped bleeding altogether, I could tell the scar would be a permanent one I did it to deep to heal properly. "why did you do it?" My brother made his way into my room, I jumped at this. "what?" I asked in confusion. "why did you do it? Cut yourself again I mean?" he repeated "you made a promise to mom, dad, Aunt Luna, Vengeful Dagger and me you wouldn't do it again" "I'm so sorry but I couldn't take it that lying filly just brought memories of Canterlot back and them bullies and everything" I burst into tears and comforted myself in my brothers embrace "I'm..s-sorry" "I did believe you, but you still shouldn't have hurt her at all, you should have told her father or me" He explained. "I realise you were sticking up for those fillies but violence isn't the answer, and neither is hurting yourself. Now. What do you say to going down to your new school with me to make sure the teacher knows who you are?" "yeah, sure, I'll join you. Can we put this day behind us and have a fresh start?" "yes, but you're still grounded but only for next week, you can still go out but you can't have your toys or your ball" "deal" ~ We walked down the dimly lit street, towards the schoolhouse. The night sky was exceptionally beautiful tonight, Luna must have worked extra hard on this one, the stars gleamed down providing limited light in this dark night. As we got closer to the schoolhouse, more memories tried to fight their way back but I pushed them away mentally, memories of school and how even my teachers picked on me. I'm sure this teacher will be nice. The sign in front of the door read. Miss Cheerilees classroom, the best education for young fillies and colts in ponyville. When we go closer we could here somepony inside rushing about. "hello,Miss cheerilee?" Heroic said stepping inside, she was a dark-ish shade of pink with 3 sunflowers for her cutie mark . "why, hello you must be the new pony in town, will you be in my class?" "yes, miss, I'm Midnight Star" "well it's very nice to meet you Midnight" she greeted with a cheery tone in her voice "do you know that young filly? erm what was her name? Diamond Tiara?" "yes?" "well just watch them two together, they got into a bit of a fight earlier and I don't want either of them harmed anymore" "thank you for the warning I will keep that in mind" she took a physical note down to remind herself. As I was rushing down the street I knocked Applebloom over, who was just going into Sugarcube corner. ~ "I'm so sorry Applebloom, here let me help you up" I offered my hoof out for help, which she gladly took "shouldn't you be in school?" "not fer another hour it don't start 'till later" she laughed, amused by my confusion with my previous school. "oh...yeah sorry I forgot that" I shied away at my idiocy. "do you want to hang out till then?" "sure" she gave me a massive grin. "what's with the smile?" "oh nothin' just happy is all" she said with the massive grin still on her face as she lead me in Sugarcube Corner. Why is she acting so strangely? I followed her in and sat down at the table she was sat at. "do you me to get you anything while I'm there?" I asked being polite, she shook her head. "you sure it's on me?" "no thanks sugarcube" she smiled. As I walked up to the counter I noticed the pink pony I saw yesterday that liked to bounce everywhere "what can I get you?" she a had a grin that would split a regular ponies face in two. "I'll have two chocolate cupcakes please" I smiled and levitated the bits to her. "ooh before I forget, what's your name?" "I'm Pinkie Pie, here's your cupcakes" she still had that giant smile. "thank you Pinkie Pie" I made my way back, levitating the cupcakes and place one in front of Applebloom "here have this, don't worry about paying me back, it's on me" "thanks, ya' didn't have to though" she smiled and took a bite "mmm.....this is good, Pinkie sure out did herself this time" "these are good, better than the ones I have at Cantercafe back at Canterlot" I said with a slight smile. Vengeful Dagger would probably crucify me for saying that, she always thought that theirs was best. "would you like a drink?" "no thanks, so how was ya' first day here?" "it was alright, I met that Diamond Tiara for a second time though, she told my brother and I got grounded for a week" I said, greedily gobbling the rest of the cupcake in one bite. "I can still come by the farm later though" "really? that bitch told on ya'?" she said, anger clear in her voice. "yeah she did, but me and my brother sorted it out, he only grounded me because I hurt her not because he didn't believe me" I smiled "anyway, what are you doing tomorrow?" "nuthin' why?" "because my fillyfriend is coming down to visit and I was only thinking maybe you and the girls would like to meet her, so would you?" I smiled at her "you don't have to, I'd just like her know my best friends" "I sure would, but a' don't know 'bout Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle" she smiled "but are ya' sure she'll like us being your friend, with us being fillies our self" she looked at me with wide worried eyes. "If she was like that then I guess I wouldn't be able to have any friends with me being bi and all" I said casually as if she already knew. "you're what?" she said confused as though she didn't know what the word meant. "I'm bisexual, I like both fillies and colts, did you not know what it meant" "no I didn't, I knew there was such a thing as fillyfoolers, but not bisexuals" said checking the clock "woah, how time flies we should head to school" ~ "good morning children, we have a new student, Midnight would like to come up?" Miss Cheerilee said with a smile as she pointed her hoof at me. As I walked up I noticed Diamond Tiara giving me a hate filled stare, the kind that, if it was a pony, it would rip your soul out. "I'm Midnight Star, I'm from Canterlot" I said warily, Miss Cheerilee signalled me to go on. "I'm the godchild of Princess Luna and both my parents died during the changeling invasion" "right, take a seat so we can get started with the days work" Miss Cheerilee said smiling with a loving smile. For the rest of the day we got taught about the great war, it had all races participating, horses, griffins, ponies, dragons and even draconequus fought, leaving only one behind, Discord the element of disharmony, the war was won by no one, yet all races claim they won the war bringing about their own version of how it ended. ~ The school day had ended, and the sun was still shining bright in the sky, I had followed Applebloom to the farm and though the orchard of apple trees. "Applebloom, where are we actually going?" I asked with a look of suspicion. "oh, it's not far" she said pointing out a tree house that I had not previously notice. we walked the rest of the short distance in silence, when we got inside Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were all ready there, Applebloom walked up to the other to and they started whispering. "right, girls, we are here today to enlist our newest recruit to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Midnight Star, step forward if you would" Sweetie Belle said motioning me to step forward. "Midnight, do you swear that no matter what you won't abandon us or the clubhouse?" Scootaloo said, I nodded in agreement, allowing her to continue "from now on you are officially sworn in to the Cutie Mark Crusaders and as our brother in a cape" "congratulations, Midnight, but remember, once a crusader always a crusader" Applebloom chipped in, Sweetie Belle presented to me my new cape, I swung it round and tied it round my neck, careful not to make it to tight. "thank you guys, I love each of you" I said as we all had a group hug. "I have a question for you all though, you see my fillyfriend is coming to town tomorrow and I was just wondering if you would like to meet her? I won't be at school, to spend time with her, but after school you could meet us at Sugarcube Corner" "yeah, sure I'll come by" Scootaloo said with a confident smile. "count me in too then, I'd love to meet her" Sweetie Belle Squeaked. "ya' already know ma' answer sugar" Applebloom smiled. "great, so what do we do now?" "we get to crusadin' of course" Applebloom said as if I should have known. ~ We were trying our hooves at trampoline jumping and doing things like front flips, this of course could only end in failure, but it was always fun to try. "you sure this is safe" I said staring down onto the trampoline from the highest tree in Ponyville. "yeah we'll be fine" Scootaloo said with a confident smile "three...two...one JUMP" Scootaloo was first she faceplanted the floor with a thud, Sweetie Belle squealed and ran climbed down to comfort her. "Scootaloo, sweetie, are you okay?" she nuzzled her I climbed down to help her up, but Sweetie Belle had already helped her up. "you silly filly why didn't you spread your wings and at least slow you self down" she scolded before they locked lips and engaged in a deep kiss. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 Chapter 6 The kiss had lasted for about two minutes until Scootaloo pulled away "Sweetie Belle, I-I yo-yo-you she stuttered. "I meant to tell you Scoots" Sweetie Belle announced, as her cheeks went a deep shade of red. me and Applebloom just stared in shock at the scene that had just unravelled its self in front of us both. The young white unicorn climbed off of Scootaloo and galloped away, "Sweetie wait up!!" I shouted to her "I'll go see to her" I said concerned for the young filly. "I had no idea she felt like that about me, I knew there was something there but I didn't think she felt like that at all" Scootaloo explained. "please Midnight, see if she is ok" At that I galloped after her, I was much faster than her so I managed to catch up with her just outside Carousel Boutique, she was sat to the left of the building, in what seemed to be a homemade fort from sticks and sheets of fabrics. "Sweetie Belle?" I asked , cautiously stepping closer to the fort. As I got closer I heard quiet sobs coming from inside. "Sweetie Belle, are you okay?" I said again, ducking so I could get inside. "Midnight, I didn't hear you come in" she said sniffling and wiping her eyes "Sweetie, are you okay?" I said with concern showing in my voice. "why did you run off?" "well wouldn't you if you just did something like that?" she said. "I did something a lot like that you know, except mine wasn't quite like that, I accidently told my best friend I loved her, it was true though and she made my dream come true, I didn't run away. You can't run away from all your problems" I said smiling. "I meant to tell her, I really did" She said bursting in to tears and wrapping her hooves around me. "shh.....it'll be ok Sweetie Belle, I promise" I said reassuring the young white unicorn. "SWEETIE BELLE!!" we both shot up at Scootaloos voice coming from outside. "I bet she's just going to shout at me, but I guess I deserve it, what I did was unforgivable" "come on lets see what she wants" I said standing up and offering a hoof for Sweetie belle. "SWEETIE BELLE!!" Scootaloo shouted as we emerged from the fort, throwing her self at Sweetie Belle. "I love you Sweetie Belle, if you had just told me first then I would have done that first!" she said locking lips for a second time. "I don't mean to ruin the moment but I think you have something to tell to me don't you Sweetie Belle" said a beautiful white unicorn with an amazing purple mane and three gems stood on her flank as her cutie mark. "Rarity!" she shot off Scootaloo faster than lightening "I-I...erm....this is not what it looks like" "well it looks like you were just kissing Scootaloo, of course if I am mistaken then, I apologise" Rarity said mockingly. "errm...how do I put this.....I like fillies" sighed Sweetie Belle, her cheeks went a bright shade of red, obviously embarrassed. "I'm so proud of you" Rarity gave Sweetie Belle a big hug and went back inside. "well that went better than expected" Sweetie Belle said in her usual squeaky voice, we all shared a laugh before I had to part ways with the other three to go home . ~ My brother was busy unpacking to hear me walk through the door, "ooh! Heroic, Vengeful says she is visiting tomorrow and would like to know if she can stay the week end? can she, please?" I asked already guessing he would say yes, he loved having Vengeful Dagger round, though he may not admit it. "sure... Do you have any homework?"  My brother smiled and gave me a hug. "umm...let me check" I said grabbing my saddle bags with my levitation spell. "errm.. no not today" "how was your first day? Did you see that Diamond Tiara girl?" he asked slightly concerned that I may have got into another fight. "I saw her but I stayed away and my first day was great we learnt about the great war and history and about star constellations and stuff, I loved it, much more interesting than my other school at canterlot!" I smiled and hopped around as I spoke. "well I'm glad you enjoyed it" he said returning to his unpacking. I made my way upstairs and went in my room, searching through my desk for a pen and some paper to write to Vengeful on how well the day went. Looks like I'm out of paper hmmm... "HERIOC! DO WE HAVE ANY PAPER LEFT?" I shouted down the stairs. "no, sorry, you will have to go to the store to buy some" he replied. I made my way down the stairs to see my brother bringing 3 bits over towards me "I can pay for it, I have enough" I said shaking my saddlebags. "plus I'm going to get a drink" "alright, don't be long, tea will be in an hour" he said making his way over to his book and continuing with his reading. "I'll be about 20 minutes, bye, love you" "love you too bro, you know that" ~ I walked into the local shop to be greeted by a queue that looked a mile long, when in all reality it was only to the first isle, I made my way towards the drinks first. "well well well look who's here" the voice was like nails on a black board to my ears. Beside her was a filly around the age as Tiara with a two tone grey mane and a grey coat, she was wearing a gleaming pearl necklace. "Diamond Tiara, looks like you still think you're above everypony else" I replied with disgust in my voice. "it's cause I am above everypony else, don't you see, everypony fears me because I rule the school, and the sooner you see that the better, anyway we aren't here to argue, we are here with a most gracious offer" This took me by surprise "what makes you think I would want to accept any offer of yours?" I snarled taking a daring step forward. "well, I would like to think you would, now, here's my offer, hows about you ditch those what do they call themselves the Cutiemark Crybabies and join me?" She smiled slyly. "why would I do that? can I get back to shopping now please?" Why would she want me to do that? "just a thought for you to consider, and yes carry on" turning to her silent friend "come on spoon, lets go" she nodded and walked away. she's up to something. I continued to purchase the paper and apple juice and walked silently home keeping an eye and ear out for Diamond Tiara. ~ The entire walk home was uneventful (thankfully) I didn't run in to Diamond Tiara again. "brother I'm home!" I shouted out, the smell of hay fries filled the air. "in here, Midnight" he replied not long later from the back room "hey could you give me a hand?" he asked. "yeah, sure" I walked in to see he was trying to lift some boxes up to the shelves and since my telekinetic abilities were stronger than his as I practiced all the time when I was in canterlot, I lifted the boxes with ease. "thanks Midnight, I'll call you down when tea is done. ~ Dear Vengeful Dagger Today was amazing we did all sorts, I'll tell you when you get here tomorrow and Heroic said you can stay at the weekend I can't wait to see you lots of love Midnight Star
