I used to be a steel smith in Canterlot. I'd manufacture armor, shields, and weapons for the Royal Guard. Sometimes even building materials. But, after Canterlot was raided, General Armour had the Royal Guard deployed to The Changeling Empire for an invasion. As much as I didn't want to, I was drafted. General Armour had sent the more unfriendly type of ponies to be sent first, saying, "The Changelings feed off of caring. We must send the most hateful of ponies to The Changeling Empire."
Being the smallest in my school, and at home, I'd always get picked on for being short, and I still get shit for it. I guess the bullying had made me bitter enough to be drafted. I was assigned as a leader of a Charger brigade. I was fitted with Chrome Armour, to signify my placement above my stallions, and deployed in the southern side of their empire. As of now, I am in a boat, headed west to The Changeling Empire. I can't wait to sink my spear deep into Queen Chrysalis' throat. I just can't wait any longer to kill one'a those little bugs. Maybe I'll be able to impale one with my horn. Now that'd just be dandy.
But I should get my mind off combat, and back to learning barricade spells, and lethal spells, and that sorta shit. Maybe one of the lethal spells will be able to punch a hole right though the little fops. Or maybe I could just use my telekinesis to rip their wings off. But, I definitely need to learn how use my magic to keep myself from getting killed. Because that's the last thing I need, is to have an insect take a chunk out of my neck.

There were no recent entries for past four days, because all we've been doing is sailing to their shit-hole of a country. But today, we've finally landed! I was surprised to see no Changelings to greet us. It wasn't until we got further up the beach, that we were attacked. "They're coming out of the damn wood-work!" said somepony in an assaulter legion, somepony in my brigade replied to him, "They are the wood-work!" I had to cast a force-field to keep my stallions safe, but they fed off my want to keep my brigade alive, and quickly abolished the field. I had fallen back behind a rock, along with my stallions. About half of that legion were cut down. It took us two hours to take that damn beach. We could barely get the charger shields set up so we could break through there lines. After we did that, we set up camp at the mouth of the swamp, that came after the beach.
Night had fallen, and two of the Chargers in my brigade went in search of lumber for a fire. Only one came back. We don't know if the other got lost or was killed by an animal. But, we have been hearing this odd, scratchy sound. We'll find out in the morning. But, I can't shake the feeling that we aren't the only ones here.

We had found him. They one that wen't missing last night, just up the trail from our camp. He had a hole in his neck, that a horn would fit into perfectly. Poor bastard. Must've bled out, or drowned in his own blood. It couldn't have been an animal, and it couldn't have been the other guy, because they split up. Maybe that's why I was cautious about going to sleep. The Changelings were still there.
By, hell. We came across a village within the swamp. General Armour called for "all out war", which meant, whatever we can find that's Changeling, we destroy. We had set up the Charger shields and charged in, followed by a Legion. The very first Changeling we killed was a little one. The little guy was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. I ran right into him with my shield, tripping him. After that he was trampled to death by the Legion. Our battle wizards set the whole place ablaze. Guards were falling out of the huts, begging for help. Their skin, melting off their faces. It was a gruesome sight. But, orders are orders.

We camped in the ruins of that village the last night. All I could smell was ash, and burning flesh. We were awoken, at about six A.M. to a green explosion on the opposite side of the village. All we saw were green streaks falling from the sky, and exploding. We fled the village. It didn't take us that long to figure out they were firing Magic Mortars at us. After we fled the village we were ambushed, by bushes. We wouldn't have know they were Changelings, unless one hadn't made the rookie mistake of loosing their balance. Once that happened, they charged. Out of the tree line, I caught one by accident when I whipped around. The bastard ran right into my horn. Midst the chaos, I got to use my telekinesis to rip one's wings off. I didn't know what damage it would do you him. When I ripped them off, I took a bone or two with 'em. He shrieked. His shrieking is what made them back off. I had left him there for dead, wanting help, and death at the same time. He cried for his mother. I had turned back, to get one last look at him. He was actually crying, balling like a newborn.

Just swamp, swamp, and more swamp.
May, 4
Well, we finally made it out of the swamp, and into a Changeling city. Like we did before, I led my Charger Brigade, followed by a Legion. But this was different. There was not one of those cheese-legged freaks anywhere. It's like they evac'd the city. We had our Battle Wizards, destroy the buildings as we came across them. There was a tower in the middle of this city bearing the Changeling flag. We made out way to the top of the tower. Once we got up there we replaced their flag with our own. That's when all of us were nearly pushed out of the tower. It was a squad of these, testosterone filled, brutes. They were bulky, and I sure as hell wasn't able to handle the one I met in combat. He tackled me, and started to headbutt me. Over and over, I just kept see him come in than a flash of black.
I had woken up in a Healer's Tent. Never thought I'd see Nurse Red Heart here. I had bandages around my head. The screaming of Legionnaire didn't help the pain in my head. I looked over and it looked like he took a Magic Mortar. He had quite a large splinter in his gut, and was missing both of his hind legs. The nurse hadn't looked more panicky in her life. The lad was bleeding everywhere. It didn't take long before his wails of pain, turned into the hissing of death. Nurse Red Heart had to leave the tent after that. I don't see why, I saw a stallion get decapitated, and I still kept fighting.

I guess being in a Healer's Tent is SO bad. I mean, besides the daily arrival of dead and or dying soldiers. I mean SURE I did see a Legionnaire with his face, and mane having third degree burns. And I did see a stallion that was turned to mush. What the hell am I saying?! This is WORSE than on the battlefield. I tried to remove the bandages, but I could've sworn I felt that my head caved in, but that wasn't possible, I'd be dead if so. I just want to get back to killing those bug-a-toids. And I'm sure Nurse Red-Heart hasn't seen anything THIS bad. I'm pretty sure she's got PTSD by now. Poor thing, did nothing to be deployed here. But, we do need medics.

Sweet friggin' Celestia! So apparently, one of the bloodiest battles of this forsaken war happened today. All I could hear past two P.M. was, "Somepony! Please kill me!" "Uuugghh... The pain! Somepony, stop the pain... Uurrrr..." You know, things like that. I just want out! When can I get out!? I never signed to see a stallions gut split open right here in the tent! I never signed at all! A Pegasus was shot down, and was missing her entire bottom jaw, and another was missing his entire upper jaw! We had a Changeling hatchling enter the tent missing her eyes, horn, and a hoof. I haven't seen so many die, in such time. I just want go home now, I don't even want to go back to battle!
May, 7
I saw some guards place a Changeling egg onto a boat. That boat left eastward towards Equestria. I'm not sure exactly what it's doing headed for Equestria, but I probably shouldn't ask either. But one thing I do know, is that I'll be headed back to battle on the ninth. At least I can get out of this tent, and away from death. Holy shit do I feel bad for Nurse Redheart, such a pure soul, plagued by death.
May, 9
I can finally put my helmet back on. Before I left, a messenger came by the tent and said that General Armour predicted that we should have the Changeling capital by the end of this month. Good, I don't want to stay here much longer.
May, 10
I was slapped into a Legion until I can catch up with my brigade. I just hope we get there before the real show starts, the capture of The Changeling Empire! This is gonna be good. Screw what I said about wanting to go home! I still want to carve Queen Chrysalis into a napkin holder! I've been given word, we'll be hiking through the night
May, 11
So, we finally caught up with my brigade. Once again it was a small village we were camped outside of. But we were told to wait outside the village until our Battle Wizards can fire off some Magic Mortars. We waited hours before the mortars were fired. So we had a stare down with the Changeling guards stationed outside the village walls. And exchanged a few goofy faces before, *KAM-BOOF*, a mortar went off and that meant, I led the charge.
But the wizards didn't stop firing. I almost got decked by a Magic Mortar, blew out my left ear. I felt a warm liquid rush down my face from the left side, no doubt it was my eardrum bursting. During the raid, a fellow guardsman nearly killed me by accident. He broke my shield. So, I was left defenseless. I had rushed behind a house, were I saw a Changeling dam peering out behind the opposite corner of the house I was behind. She was crying, and babbling some kind of non-sense. The only things I could make out were, "I'm sorry babies, mommy will never see you." Well, I may be bitter, but I don't have a heart of ice. So, I told her to hide in the forest, which she probably would've done so by default, because I couldn't get a word off to her.
May, 12
We have the Changeling capitol in sight. Just two days away. But, we may need to fall back to assist the Western Front, which has been pushed back, nearly to the beach! While on our way there we came across what we thought were ruins of a village. The burned houses looked like the ash was fresh. And every civilian was dead. But that's impossible, we haven't even been this far yet! Unless the bastards are killing their own, how pathetic! They couldn't be THIS weak now? Right?
We'll hell, I guess I was wrong, they weren't weak. We got ambushed again, Being left defenseless all I could do was fire whatever magic I could at them, and cast a force-field. It took us twenty minutes before we could move out again.
May, 13
It's incredible. The Changeling capital is just magnificence manifested. Nah, I kid. The only thing that's majestic about that damn city, is the castle in the middle. The rest of the city looks like a shit hole. The reason we can't enter the city is too much opposition within the city. We'll have to wait for Lunar Guards, now those guys are some real bad asses. I saw one leading a Charger brigade on the beach, and charged in with nothing but his horn drawn. Got one of 'em right in the throat, and kept running into the swamp.
May, 14 (1 A.M.)
Finally, Legions of the Lunar Guard arrive. Along with a messenger, she brought with her a letter for nearly every guard, including me. My letter reads,
"Dear Silver Steel,
How goes it brother? I heard you were in a Healers Tent; when I got that news, I nearly puked up my heart. Celestia be dammed, I thought you were a goner. I didn't want to lose my one and only brother. I'm sorry I gave you so much shit, you're out there fighting the craftiest of all ponies, the Changelings. And, if I did lose you to a Changeling like we did dad, I'd just go insane. I dare say, I'd go on a killing spree. I know it's seemed like I've hated you all your life, but I don't. I just don't, okay? Please write back if you can. Just so I don't get the news that you're gone, with an Equestrain flag, and hoof guards. Please?
From,
Charcoal"
I never knew he cared about what happened to me. I'll need sometime to myself.
May, 16
This is it, this is the day we made our charge into their capitol; I've gotten a new sheild, but I'm not sure if I'm ready. What if I die? I don't want my family to get my hoof guards as a token of my death. I'll just try, to lead s more cautious charge.
May, 17
We did it! We fucking did it! We took the capitol! As of now, Queen Chrysalis is in Equestrian custody. I'll have to write it all down, in detail here!
So, I led my charge after a few Lunar Guard charged in. Followed by Legions of Lunar, and Royal guards! While charging in, I tripped on some rubble and scratched my face up bad. But I got up and continued the charge. I didn't care who I toppled over, Changeling troops, civilians, or other guards! I was on a dead ass-haul to that castle. Going up the road leading to the castle, was a literal up-hill battle. While pushing our way up, I took a spear to my right leg. But that didn't stop me, I kept charging! We burst through those doors, and made our way up to the thrown room. But, the Queen wasn't there, there were seven broken Changeling pods, and a hole in the wall. We searched the entire castle, until we came upon her sleeping quarters. She was slumped over her, couch, or whatever the hell it's called. "Queen Chrysalis. You are going under Equestrian custody, due to an attack on Canterlot." Said the Centurion of a Lunar Legion. "I don't care anymore, I've been bested twice." She said in response. "Oh, you will." said the Centurion, that's when he started raping her; his entire Legion took turns raping her! It was an hour before, we could take her into custody. She came out of her room, in shackles, and covered in pony semen. I take back what I said about Lunar Guards, they're crazy.
