What If

What if is a question as old as time itself. What if is a question that if answered could re-write history. I am here to answer that question. So, join me friends in my quest. My quest to re-write history. The close open doors. To answer those dangerous questions.

I take no credit for the original story by Aurora Dawn.

Scootloo sprinted down the hallway. A window shrouded in black smoke, or fog, Was at the end of the hallway. She could hear Rainbowdash's reckless chase for her down the hallway. She could hear pipes breaking, machines being smashed, and workers crying out in protest as their boss hurtled herself down the hallway. Or what was their boss. Rainbowdash wasn't the loyal, warm hearted pony she used to be. No, she was a cold hearted killing machine. Her Cyan coat was now stained almost entirely with blood, her blood. Her rainbow mane had been almost completely torn off due to her reckless dash down the hallway.  She reached the window and made the mistake of turning back. She saw an image that would haunt her for the rest of her days. The mare charged down the hallway. A red hot pipe twisted around her throat, but she didn't care. In her current frenzied state, she could lose an limb and barely notice it. Scootaloo turned and jumped through the window, Shattering the glass. She flew immediately for Canterlot.

"The princess will hear about this." She said to herself as the rocketed towards the capitol city of Equestria, and away from the town of demons, Cloudsdale.

As she flew she was plagued by thoughts of Rainbowdash. Of her being like a big sister to scootaloo. Of them having fun together on the weekends when Rainbowdash had time off. Of their flying lessons. But then the darker thoughts crept ito her mind. The dark hearted ponies that had had the horrible idea of sending foals to their deaths, for RAINBOWS! The thought infuriated her. The countless lives that had been cut short, all because of BUCKING RAINBOWS! Her friends, like Aurora, and the other innocents tat had been killed. The ponies from the other schools, and Orion. A tear ran down her cheek and down to the earth. He had been more than a friend, and now he was gone. Lost to the world, for RAINBOWS! She flew faster, harder than she ever had, for Orion. She would not let his death be in vain.

After a few more hour of flying, Scootaloo was burning out. Her eyelids drooped and her back muscles burned with a fierce intensity. But she had to keep moving, for Orion. She saw the shape of the castles in the distance. She was renewed, her journey wouldn't be much longer.

Within five minutes she was at the castle doors.

"Halt, state your business." One of the two guards said as scootaloo landed.

"I need... to speak...to the princess." She said between gasps of air.

"About what?" The other guard asked. He was a pegasus, no doubt from cloudsdale. He may know about the factory.

"For her majesty's own ears." She said. The guards began to brandish their spears when the great doors flew open and out stepped Princess Celestia.

"Come child." She said motioning for the guards to stand down. Scootaloo followed the princess inside, casting one of the guards a dirty look. She followed the princess down a long corridor, past the royal library and the hall of the elements. They walked by Luna's quarters where she could hear her shouting at something.

"Tis a dirty, noob camper!" She continued down the hall past shining Armor and Cadence's room. She could hear moans and thumping coming from their room. She didn't want to think about that. She followed the princess down the hall and into the throne room. The guards saluted her as she walked past the and then exited the room, leaving scootaloo and the princess alone.

"I know why you're here." She said. "I've known about what happens in Cloudsdale for years. And I approve." She said. Scootaloo let a tear fall down her cheek. She had flown until she couldn't fly anymore just to have her hopes dashed like that. But it got worse. Celestia nodded and a figure stepped out of the shadows and sat down at the foot of the throne. It was none other than Rainbowdash. Her coat had been cleaned of blood and she wore a cloak to hide the missing fur. But she let the hood down so not to hide the wicked smile that adorned her face.

"How could you be the element of loyalty if you kill your fellow pegasi without remorse." Scootaloo spat at her. Her fury rising. She had nothing left to lose. She was, no doubt, about to meet her impending doom.

"Oh scoots, you simply don't understand. I am loyal. I kill the so called 'pegasi' for the rainbows. You heard the cutie mark stories of my friends. Rainbows keep the world turning. I'm not loyal to any individual pony, i'm loyal to all of Equestria.' She said as if she was explaining a simple concept to a foal. Princess Celestia picked up scootaloo with her magic and looked her in the eye.

"But you escaping and trashing the facility has thrown a wrench into those plans. And now you will suffer." Celestia said. Rainbowdash looked up at her with a crooked smile on her face. Celestia had a look of no emotion, only business. She spread scootaloo's limbs out and began to pull them each in a different direction.

"Stop!" Said Rainbowdash right as scootaloo was about to let out a cry of pain. Did she still care for her. Would she save her from this mess. "Let her die like her little boyfriend." She said. Scootaloo's hopes had been crushed for the millionth time that day. She heard a set of doors open up behind her and a few scientist ponies walked in with a huge machine.  The same they had used to kill Orion. Scootaloo began to struggle but the princess shot a bolt of lightning at her and she stopped moving. The ponies clipped the shackles to her hooves and pulled on the chains until they were taut. Scootaloo looked over at Rainbowdash, a look of calmness now adorned the orange filly's face.

"I forgive you." She said. Rainbowdash looked stunned. The princess saw this and nodded to the ponies one of them flipped a switch and that's when scootaloo felt pain she had never felt before.

The chains whipped around, twisting scootaloo like a wet rag. She felt her bidy contracting arounf her ribcage abf her organs being squashed. The chains whipped the other direction and shatter her ribs, causing several of them to stab through her skin and spatter the floor with blood. Scootaloo let out a cry of pain as the chains whipped around again and twisted her body until her stomach burst and then only blackness.

Luna burst through the doors.

"Sister, who was tha-" She stopped when she saw scootaloo torn in half, chained to the machine. Rainbowdash looked up to the princess who grabbed Luna in her magic and nodded to the scientists. They took scootaloo out of the machine and chained Luna to it. Without hesitation, Celestia nodded to the scientists and the flipped the switch, ending Luna's life in one  twist from the chains. Rainbowdash looked up horrified at the princess.

"No loose ends." She said.
