//-------------------------------------------------------// What If -by Word_Smith- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// What If:Joe and Nebula //-------------------------------------------------------// What If:Joe and Nebula What if: Joe and Nebula What if Joe hadn't survived the fight with nebula. What if applejack was left at the mercy of applejack. You wanted answers for these question that have been nagging your mind. This is The story where your questions will be answered. The bolt flew through the air with deadly accuracy. Joe barely had time to react before the bolt hurried itself in his head. He rolled to the right and stood back up. He aimed his hidden gun and tapped the button. A loud bang echoed through the room. Nebula clutched his shoulder where a trickle of blood was now coming out. It had only grazed him but it still hurt. Joe pulled back the bolt and aimed again, this time to kill. He pointed his wrist at nebula and rested his finger on the button. But he never go the chance to fire. The bolt flew out of nebula's crossbow too fast. Joe never stood a chance. The bolt buried itself up to the fletchings in his chest. Joe clutched the bolt and fell onto his back. Applejack shrieked and started to run towards him but nebula stopped her with the crossbow. "One more step and you end up like him." He said. Applejack looked furious but stepped back. Joe watched in horror as nebula pointed the crossbow at applejack. Using all the strength he had left, he picked up his wrist and fired off one last shot. It went wide and that's all Joe could do. He laid back down and closed his eyes, for the last time. Applejack screamed and ran over to Joe. "No, Joe please wake up. Joe please. I need you. Joe,JOE!" She screamed shaking him by the shoulders. A strong hand grabbed her throat and picked her up. Nebula pinned her to the wall, a furious scowl on his face. "He's dead. You hear me, dead. He isn't coming back for you. Your mine now, and you're gonna do what I say. Unless you wanna die to. Applejack gulped and nodded. Put was already forming a plan in her mind. "Now go clean up your boyfriend." He yelled throwing her to Joe's limp body. Applejack stunned by the impact, took a second to get up. picked up his crossbow and walked out of  the room, locking the door behind him. Applejack rushed over to Joe and wrapped her hooves around his neck and sobbed. She cried until she couldn't cry anymore, and just held him. Somewhere in ponyville The ponies where all to shocked to say anything. "Is Joe d-dead?" Pinkie asked. Her normally kinky ,was now straight. Luna was crying in the corner while her sister tried to comfort her. Rainbowdash and rarity pace furiously. And fluttershy just stared at the monitor, stunned. None of the ponies knew what they could do. Back in manehattan Nebula examined the slice on his chest. It wasn't deep, but it hurt and was still bleeding. But one thing that came out of this was that he was able to get to his human form. As a matter of fact, he liked this form better. He was born a pony, but would live a pony. He heard a slam in the mane warehouse and walked out of the washroom n the back, under the room where applejack was. He peered out of the room and saw at least thirty elite guards. Nebula made a break for the stairs and burst through the door to the holding room. He snatched p applejack who was sobbing over Joe's dead body. He took both of joes hidden blades and slid them on his wrists. He tested them and slid the blade out and held it up to applejack's neck and walked out of the room with her. "There he is!" One of the guards yelled. "If you want her to live, you'll let us leave." Nebula said. "You wouldn't." One of the guards said. "Try me." Nebula said. Applejack let out a yelp of pain as he pressed the blade onto her throat. A small bit of blood ran down her cheek and her chest.  Applejack frantically looked around for a way of escape. Then she saw it. It was a black sword that had materialized on top of one of the crated. Applejack let out a cry and bit Nebula's hand. She felt the bones crunch and he released her. She made a break for the crate and climbed it. She grabbed the hilt of the sword in he mouth and pulled it free of the scabbard. She turned and faced nebula. He was running for the back room as the guards chased him. Applejack jumped off of the crate and landed on his back. She grabbed the sword and put it at his neck and sliced it open. Nebula immediately stopped and grabbed at his throat, trying to stem the flow of blood that was coming from his throat. Nebula was going to suffer the same fate as Joe, but not without taking another life. He spun around, his movements clumsy but deadly, and tackled applejack. She screamed and he shoved the blade into her throat. The guards pulled him off of her and jammed a spear into his stomach, ending his miserable life. Applejack tried to cry out but with all the blood that was flooding her mouth and throat, it came out as more of a muted gurgle. One of the guards got down on his knees next to her and began to press down on her throat where the blood was coming from. He pulled off his helmet off and his green mane fell down over his shoulders. Strange, he looked just like Joe. She began to close her eyes. "Don't you close your eyes. Eyes on me. Eyes, on, me!" He said shaking her.  It it didn't do any good. She slid her eyes shut, for the last time. Her eyes snapped open and she looked around. She was in a field of endless green grass with a clear blue sky above her. "So this is heaven." She said to herself. "Yep." A voice said next to her. She turned to see the love of her life. She wrapped him up in a hug and he kissed her cheek. He was a pony again. When they broke the hug, Joe took a step back. "Meet your son." He said smiling at her. A grey colt walked up next to her and a tear ran down applejack's cheek. The colt spread his wings and fluttered up to his mother. She wrapped him up in a hug as Joe smiled at her and his son. Life was perfect. "One last thing." He said. "Look at your back." He said. She turned around and let out a squeal of excitement. On her back were a pair if orange wings. She spread them and took off into the air. Hurricane, her son, followed her and Joe was right behind them. //-------------------------------------------------------// What If: The Rainbow Factory //-------------------------------------------------------// What If: The Rainbow Factory What If What if is a question as old as time itself. What if is a question that if answered could re-write history. I am here to answer that question. So, join me friends in my quest. My quest to re-write history. The close open doors. To answer those dangerous questions. I take no credit for the original story by Aurora Dawn. Scootloo sprinted down the hallway. A window shrouded in black smoke, or fog, Was at the end of the hallway. She could hear Rainbowdash's reckless chase for her down the hallway. She could hear pipes breaking, machines being smashed, and workers crying out in protest as their boss hurtled herself down the hallway. Or what was their boss. Rainbowdash wasn't the loyal, warm hearted pony she used to be. No, she was a cold hearted killing machine. Her Cyan coat was now stained almost entirely with blood, her blood. Her rainbow mane had been almost completely torn off due to her reckless dash down the hallway.  She reached the window and made the mistake of turning back. She saw an image that would haunt her for the rest of her days. The mare charged down the hallway. A red hot pipe twisted around her throat, but she didn't care. In her current frenzied state, she could lose an limb and barely notice it. Scootaloo turned and jumped through the window, Shattering the glass. She flew immediately for Canterlot. "The princess will hear about this." She said to herself as the rocketed towards the capitol city of Equestria, and away from the town of demons, Cloudsdale. As she flew she was plagued by thoughts of Rainbowdash. Of her being like a big sister to scootaloo. Of them having fun together on the weekends when Rainbowdash had time off. Of their flying lessons. But then the darker thoughts crept ito her mind. The dark hearted ponies that had had the horrible idea of sending foals to their deaths, for RAINBOWS! The thought infuriated her. The countless lives that had been cut short, all because of BUCKING RAINBOWS! Her friends, like Aurora, and the other innocents tat had been killed. The ponies from the other schools, and Orion. A tear ran down her cheek and down to the earth. He had been more than a friend, and now he was gone. Lost to the world, for RAINBOWS! She flew faster, harder than she ever had, for Orion. She would not let his death be in vain. After a few more hour of flying, Scootaloo was burning out. Her eyelids drooped and her back muscles burned with a fierce intensity. But she had to keep moving, for Orion. She saw the shape of the castles in the distance. She was renewed, her journey wouldn't be much longer. Within five minutes she was at the castle doors. "Halt, state your business." One of the two guards said as scootaloo landed. "I need... to speak...to the princess." She said between gasps of air. "About what?" The other guard asked. He was a pegasus, no doubt from cloudsdale. He may know about the factory. "For her majesty's own ears." She said. The guards began to brandish their spears when the great doors flew open and out stepped Princess Celestia. "Come child." She said motioning for the guards to stand down. Scootaloo followed the princess inside, casting one of the guards a dirty look. She followed the princess down a long corridor, past the royal library and the hall of the elements. They walked by Luna's quarters where she could hear her shouting at something. "Tis a dirty, noob camper!" She continued down the hall past shining Armor and Cadence's room. She could hear moans and thumping coming from their room. She didn't want to think about that. She followed the princess down the hall and into the throne room. The guards saluted her as she walked past the and then exited the room, leaving scootaloo and the princess alone. "I know why you're here." She said. "I've known about what happens in Cloudsdale for years. And I approve." She said. Scootaloo let a tear fall down her cheek. She had flown until she couldn't fly anymore just to have her hopes dashed like that. But it got worse. Celestia nodded and a figure stepped out of the shadows and sat down at the foot of the throne. It was none other than Rainbowdash. Her coat had been cleaned of blood and she wore a cloak to hide the missing fur. But she let the hood down so not to hide the wicked smile that adorned her face. "How could you be the element of loyalty if you kill your fellow pegasi without remorse." Scootaloo spat at her. Her fury rising. She had nothing left to lose. She was, no doubt, about to meet her impending doom. "Oh scoots, you simply don't understand. I am loyal. I kill the so called 'pegasi' for the rainbows. You heard the cutie mark stories of my friends. Rainbows keep the world turning. I'm not loyal to any individual pony, i'm loyal to all of Equestria.' She said as if she was explaining a simple concept to a foal. Princess Celestia picked up scootaloo with her magic and looked her in the eye. "But you escaping and trashing the facility has thrown a wrench into those plans. And now you will suffer." Celestia said. Rainbowdash looked up at her with a crooked smile on her face. Celestia had a look of no emotion, only business. She spread scootaloo's limbs out and began to pull them each in a different direction. "Stop!" Said Rainbowdash right as scootaloo was about to let out a cry of pain. Did she still care for her. Would she save her from this mess. "Let her die like her little boyfriend." She said. Scootaloo's hopes had been crushed for the millionth time that day. She heard a set of doors open up behind her and a few scientist ponies walked in with a huge machine.  The same they had used to kill Orion. Scootaloo began to struggle but the princess shot a bolt of lightning at her and she stopped moving. The ponies clipped the shackles to her hooves and pulled on the chains until they were taut. Scootaloo looked over at Rainbowdash, a look of calmness now adorned the orange filly's face. "I forgive you." She said. Rainbowdash looked stunned. The princess saw this and nodded to the ponies one of them flipped a switch and that's when scootaloo felt pain she had never felt before. The chains whipped around, twisting scootaloo like a wet rag. She felt her bidy contracting arounf her ribcage abf her organs being squashed. The chains whipped the other direction and shatter her ribs, causing several of them to stab through her skin and spatter the floor with blood. Scootaloo let out a cry of pain as the chains whipped around again and twisted her body until her stomach burst and then only blackness. Luna burst through the doors. "Sister, who was tha-" She stopped when she saw scootaloo torn in half, chained to the machine. Rainbowdash looked up to the princess who grabbed Luna in her magic and nodded to the scientists. They took scootaloo out of the machine and chained Luna to it. Without hesitation, Celestia nodded to the scientists and the flipped the switch, ending Luna's life in one  twist from the chains. Rainbowdash looked up horrified at the princess. "No loose ends." She said. //-------------------------------------------------------// Update of Update-ness //-------------------------------------------------------// Update of Update-ness Hey guys, sorry for the hold up but I've run out of ideas to write alternate endings about. A question, that if answered, could rewrite history. That is why I am here, to answer those questions, to rewrite history, to put your minds at ease. “Goodbye, Scootaloo.” Applebloom said raising the hatchet above her head. Scootaloo closed her eyes, not wanting to see the instrument of Breeze’s death become her own. Scootaloo brought the axe down on Scootaloo’s head, splitting her skull and ending her life. Scootaloo jolted awake and was met with blinding lights. She tried to move but her body was wrapped up in a rough cloth and straps crisscrossed her chest, keeping her pinned to what she guessed was some kind of examination table. Scootaloo looked around the room, her fear rising and spotted a large window. On the other side of the glass were Applebloom and Sweetie Belle talking to a pony that looked kind of like Breeze. Sadness was clearly evident in their body language. “What’s going on here? Where am I?” Scootaloo shouted. The ponies on the other side of the glass stopped their conversation to look at her. The pony definitely was Breeze but he was dressed up in some strange doctor get up. Breeze rushed over to the door to Scootaloo’s room and walked in. “Finally Scootaloo, you’re awake.” He said. “I was starting to worry that we wouldn’t be able to continue our tests.” “Tests? What tests?” She said squirming around trying to get free. “Oh, that’s right. They told me you’d have some amnesia after the last experiment. Allow me to explain. I’m Doctor Breeze and this is the Canterlot Medical Research Facility. Here, we perform experiments on willing test subject. You being one of the willing subjects.” Breeze said. “Well I’m not willing anymore. I want to go home.” She said squirming around in her restraints. Breeze let out a soft chuckle. “It’s not that easy. Once you sign on with us here at the research facility, you can’t leave. If we test some kind of bacteria or virus on you, we don’t want you leaving here and spreading it to other ponies.” Breeze said walking over to a panel on the far side of the room. He opened up the small metal box and pressed a button. A metal shield descended over the glass window, blocking her view of her friends who had horrified looks on their faces. He then walked back over to her and pressed a button on the ground and a tray with several needles on it rose up out of the ground. “What was the last test you performed on me? The one that gave me amnesia?” She asked. Breeze picked up one of the needles that held a green liquid and tapped the end. “We took a small cutting of the frontal portion of your brain to see if we could possib-. Bah, you wouldn’t understand.” He said holding the needle over Scootaloo’s chest. “This will only sting a bit.” He said. He pushed the needle delicately, but swiftly, into her chest and released the medicine. ‘It did only sting a bit.’ She thought to herself as the medicine spread through her body, warming her. “This actually feels pretty good.” Scootaloo said. Breeze looked back at her with a twisted smile. “Not for long.” He said. He picked up a small remote and flipped a switch and Scootaloo’s body started to convulse. Scootaloo felt like her insides were on fire, being ripped apart and burned. “What...the...buck!” She yelled through gasps of air. The pain was increasing as Breeze twisted a knob on the remote. Her vision started to dim as she slipped closer and closer to unconsciousness. Suddenly the pains stopped and Scootaloo relaxed her body. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came. She was too weak for those. “Nanogens.” Breeze said. “New torture system invented by Celestia herself. We inject them in a mixture of healing salve and IV fluid to put the victim at rest and then zap em’.” He said. Scootaloo started to closer her eyes but jerked awake when she felt a needle jab into her chest. She suddenly felt like she could run a mile. “Can’t have you passing out on me.” Breeze said casting the adrenaline shot behind him. “Why are you doing this to me? I thought we were friends.” She said pleading. Her dream was coming back to her and she wished that it was reality, except for Applebloom being evil. She didn’t want that. “Oh Scootaloo, we are friends. It’s just I don’t get to pick the experiments. I try to be as nice as I can but this line of work isn’t very kind.” He said. He pressed a button on the ground and the tray of nanogens receded into the ground and another came up in it’s place. “Ahh, you see. This one should be easy.” He said. He loosened one of the straps that held her in place with his magic so she could sit up but couldn’t go anywhere. Breeze picked up another needle and trotted around behind her. “This test is for cramps, or getting rid of them. This shot will induce a cramp and it will hurt for a moment but you have to stay still. I’ll inject the relaxant as fast as I can.” Breeze said. He pierced the ball of muscles in between her wings and injected the fluid and immediately it tensed up sending waves of pain through Scootaloo’s body. She let out a whimper as Breeze came around and picked up the relaxant and injected it into the cramp. It burned at first, but after a few seconds the pain disappeared. “Well that wasn’t so bad.” Breeze said. Scootaloo nodded and kept her eyes down. Breeze pushed a third button on the floor and the tray receded into the ground replaced by a canister. “Last test and then you’re free to go.” He said putting a mask over her face. “What is this one.” Scootaloo asked nervously. “Nerve gas, my dear.” He said connecting the tube. Scootaloo’s pupils shrunk to the size of pen heads. “Goodbye, my sweet.” Breeze said turning the knob on the canister releasing the nerve gas into her body. It attacked her nervous system, making her body twitch into strange and painful positions. Right before she felt herself slip away, she heard a small chuckle next to her. It sounded like Applebloom, but she couldn’t be sure.
