First, before I start my tale,I'd just like to say that I hope many other ponies look at my story during many future generations as an inspiration to others. At least that's what I hope will happen when they read it or hear about it or something. Now where to begin is a question I have to answer first, because I can't start the story if I don't know WHERE in the story to start. I can't start in the middle of the story cause nopony would ever know what would be going on if I started in the middle. If I started at the end you would find out the outcome faster and that wouldn't be very good. So where should I start... where to start.
Oh I know! I'll start with what I look like(before the greatest part of this story, that is now myself, happened). Oh and I should do introductions along with it. My name is Crystal and I'm a unicorn. I suppose you could call my fur pure white and my mane and tail white with pink in it.(I was born with a lot of white). And I didn't have my cutie mark. Notice how I say didn't in that sentence.
Anyway my story starts in my BESTEST-BESTEST-BESTEST friends library in Ponyville. Although I guess she didn't exactly know that I was her BESTEST-BESTEST-BESTEST friend. Her name is Twilight and she's really amazing and smart and I look up to her as a role model. She lets all little ponies come to her library and look at her books. I was there for a reason that day so I was scanning ALL of the books on the shelf's; looking for anything to help me get my hearts desire.
Oh and by the way, my hearts desire was to be an alicorn. Yea its silly and you can go ahead and laugh at me, but it was! Well I was going through all of the books looking for something to help me become an alicorn, but I wasn't having much luck.
"Hi there Crystal. Are you having trouble finding a book?" Twilight asked me as she trotted towards me. She always wants to help others enjoy books like she does.
"Well yea I am looking for something, but I don't know which book it may be in." I tell her. I so didn't want to embarrass myself by telling her what exactly I was looking for.
"Hmm," Twilight says. "Exactly what are you looking for?" she asked me. No!! If I tell her I KNOW I'll blush, so I just shake my head side to side.
"No I'm sure I'll find it eventually Twilight." I tell her polity. I was NOT going to tell her what I was looking for. She just smiles and looks at me.
"Well," She said. "If you still can't find it I think you might find something you like in the fillies and colts section, or maybe something in magic section." Twilight tells me as I keep looking through the shelves. I return her smile.
"Thanks Twilight I'll keep that in mind as I look, OK?" I ask.
"OK Crystal I hope you find what your looking for!" She calls to me as she trots happily out of the room. As soon as she leaves, I groan and keep searching the books for any kind of magic spell or potion that will make me an alicorn, but to no avail. Nothing. Nothing at all. No potions, no spells nothing! I groan again and rub my temples with my hooves a little bit. Why can't there be a spell or a potion! I've searched everywhere! I thought to myself as I continued rubbing my temples.
"Why isn't there a single thing about it!" I shout to myself as I stamp my hoof to the ground in protest. Then, I feel just a small shudder from the wood under my hoof. It shook at first, then it went down and a small opening in the wall popped open; making dust and very old wood go flying through Twilight's neat library. Very slowly, I walk over to the opening and look inside. I stare at the thing inside.
It was a leather bound book with gold writing on the front and side; but it was in a language I did not know. The top was covered in an inch thick layer of dust and old wood from the tree, giving it an creepy sort of look. I blew the dust off and got a better look at the book. A tattered old ribbon bookmark was put inside one of the pages, like the last pony who had this wanted to remember this page forever. I stuck out a cautious hoof and touched the old book, feeling its worn leather covering while getting my hoof covered in dust.
Using my magic, I lifted the old book out of the hole and into the bright light of Twilight's library, setting it on a table as I grabbed a chair.Hmm I wonder whats on that bookmarked page. I thought to myself. I'd better find out! Quickly, and using my magic, I turned to the page and my heart almost stopped working.
It was an alicorn spell and potion. One I have been looking for for a long time! I almost jumped out of my seat and screamed YES!!!!!!! to the whole world. I stared at the book for a long time reading the directions on what to do. Then I red what you have to have in order to do the spell. My heart stopped working again, but this time it was out of disappointment. There was an age limit. An AGE LIMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the one thing you must have when doing the spell and potion, was something I didn't have. It was a cutie mark. I didn't have mine yet. So all I did was turn around and stare at the smooth, shiny white side of my blank flank.
