I wake up, and look around
my room is the same
my bed is the same

"oh" I say out loud as I get out of bed
I trot to the mirror i have that is connected to my desk.
it is embroidered with many patterns of windigo, alicorns, and zebra.
Ever since I was little, i still could never figure out what the heck this island type thing was, there was one big shape, but not precise, and it was divided 13 times, but the 13th shape had an X on it. Ive asked my mom, that is, when she was still alive.
and she would always say the same thing. "It probably represents the bonds we have in equestria." but something just didn't feel right. I look up from the desk and look at myself in the mirror, yep. Same old Summer Storms, curly red mane, white coat, curly red tail, and STILL. NO. CUTIE MARK!
"Oh, well" i say in an angry tone
I retrieve the tokens i've received from my father and mother when they were still living, A tiny music box, a flower hairpin, a shiny silver belt buckle and a golden ring thingy, with some weird bird and an arrow on it. I always wondered what it was but when I tried to ask dad, mom would ring in with her opinion, "Its something i received from a friend, honey now go outside."
As im walking out the door my little brother comes in, his mane and tail are brunette and his eyes blue. He has no cutie mark yet but he is training to be a cantorlot gaurd.
"Off to flight school?" he says
"Yeah" I respond
"I will miss you"
"I will be back after a week's time, just be safe at your boarding school in Canterlot"
"okay"
"bye!"
"bye!"
as I walk out the door i cool breeze rushes through my hair.
but i still cant forget that dream I had.
But still.
