Twilight Sparkle walked in to the cheerful greeting of the realtor mare. She was a middle aged mare with a bright orange coat and a smile as sunny as the mane that was wrapped in a tight bun. The burgundy suit jacket of her company's name Equestrian Homes for You, and cutie mark of a house and shining sun gave Cozy Home her unmistakable appearance.
"Hello Miss Cozy." Twilight said, shaking her hoof.
"You must be Miss Sparkle, how very nice to meet you." She looked at the dragon in Twilight's company. "And I suppose this... handsome young boy is Spike."
Spike was just stepping through the doorway when he heard his name. He looked almost surprised at the arch arcing about three inches over his head. Cozy couldn't help but be surprised at his appearance. He was easily two heads taller than she was and the line of protruding... spikes running down his back that made him look almost threatening. The wings tucked into his sides didn't help either.
"Wha? Yeah, I'm Spike." The drake answered.
"I take it you're impressed already."
"Yeah. It's been a while since I didn't have to duck to get through a door." Spike said, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. Twilight gave him an understanding smile.
"Well I hope the doors won't be the only thing you are impressed with." She says, leading them through the foyer.
"If Spike isn't impressed with the ceilings I'll be impressed for him." Twilight said.
"Oh you noticed that. What we have is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage that was built with a new experimental design plan. It left for walls that are taller than most flats. Even on the upper floors."

"I'll see what I can do. Now, how about this kitchen?" Twilight said trotting into the room.
"Well this kitchen is one of the best parts of this house in my opinion. Take the oven; built into the wall with a fully working gas powered stove. Counters and island built from white marble making them very hard to crack. And all the cupboards and drawers crafted with the same wood grain as the floors. Just the room for the chef of the family."

Cozy lead on. A quick walk through the slightly smaller guest room quickly went on to the lusciously green backyard, which turned into the last leg of the tour on the upper floor. Down one side of the hallway was a room mainly built as an office (or new book room as Twilight said to no one in particular), and down the other way was the master bedroom which easily earned its title with it being almost the size of the living room.
Twilight thought it was perfect.
"So, what do you think?" Twilight asked.
Spike looked around the pale white room nodding in approval. "I guess I kind of like it."
Twilight smiled. "Well if you like it, then I like it."
"Well?" Cozy asked.

"Oh, that's a great decision, Miss Sparkle." She said with an smile slathered in delight. "Shall I ready the paperwork for your signature?"
"Sure." Twilight said before nudging Spike in the ribs. "But actually, it's his signature you need."
Spike stepped forward, a quill in hand. "Ready when you are, ma'am."
"Oh, I admire your enthusiasm." Cozy chuckled. "Well we can settle this back at the office all quick and easy."
Twilight watched the two leave the room, a sad, nostalgic smile crept on her muzzle. She felt a pang in her chest at the thought of Spike leaving the library. She can still remember when he came up to her asking if he could have an allowance for the work he did around the library. It was just a few days ago when he brought up the idea of moving out.

Twilight's eyes ate up the words she quietly read on the homeowners papers. Spike and Cozy Home sat patiently in her office waiting on her word. "Just a few more pieces of furniture as far as big things go. We do need to get the couch in though."
"Can do." Big Mac said.
Twilight glanced down at her clipboard again. With the amount of help they were getting, they would have the truck emptied by noon. Way ahead of schedule. Twilight hated that, and was about to change it when Spike came bounding down the stairs three steps at a time.

"Pretty well, we're getting the bed frame set up. I think we could get the chests up next."

"Hey, Spike!" Called Scootaloo. The pegasus buzzed towards them, her arms full. Was that a picnic basket? "I found this basket stacked on top of some things. What should I do with it?"
"Eer.. let me take care of it, Scoots." He said, taking the piece of wicker.
"Kay." She flapped away to move some more stuff.
Twilight was surprised, perplexed, and though she hated to admit it, a little jealous. "You packed your basket?"
Spike scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah, I found it in the closet when I was packing the boxes. I guess I was feeling a little bit nostalgic and I couldn't really throw it away. But I don't really know what to do with it now."
The basket shined lavender and left Spike's hands. "Let me take it, Spike. So that a little bit of you will stay at the library no matter what."
Spike snorted a laugh. "Wow, Twilight. You get sappier every day."

It was late when the ragtag team of movers had finished unpacking boxes and organizing furniture until Spike was declared officially moved in. She turned to look at Spike across the room, who was in the middle of an animated discussion with the rest of the kids. Twilight smiled as she watched Spike laugh at a joke one of the kids made.
"I guess I kind of am." Twilight finally answered. "But I'm really not."
Applejack placed a supportive hoof on her shoulder. "Ah know what ya' mean sugarcube."
