Hello and welcome to the Beginner’s Guide to Being a Brony. Here begins an in depth look at Brony culture, the show of My Little Pony and the extended universe created by the fandom.
Each chapter will take a look at an aspect of the Brony phenomenon and provide a commentary on where in the fandom this fits and why it is important. This will also be in part a comments driven project - anything you want explained, please ask in the comments and I will do my best to talk about it in a later chapter.
So, if you are a proto-Brony trying to find out what all the hype My Little Pony is all about, a veteran Brony looking for a sideways look at an aspect of Brony life, or (depending on how cynically I write this) a hater in need of a laugh at just how sad our fandom is (to these people I say please go away and don’t bother us), then this may just be for you.
Warning – this will be written as and when I can find the time to put fingers to keyboard (which may only be once a month, you have been warned), so don’t expect any kind of regular chapter updates.
