I walk around my new home, stereos, amps, and instruments litter the walls. I'm the latest and youngest of Equestria's musicians. Though I'm the child of Neon Lights and Vinyl Scratch I'm not very renown, yet
I usually hang out with Twilight and her friends, or Octavia Cello, but I enjoy hanging out with Fluttershy most of all. She's great, the way she deals with animals, and sweet Celestia, her eyes are beautiful. We share the same negative-yellow fur. Why couldn't I be white or gray like my parents? No! I had to be tulip yellow with a black mane and tail.
"Bass! Get down here!" Dad screams from the living room, I trot downstairs smelling Mom's cooking.
"Bass, you hungry?" Mom asks.
I nod, after breakfast Fluttershy stops by, I nearly faint at the sight of her on my doorstep. We've been volunteering at the Animal Shelter over the Summer, I enjoy working beside the most beautiful pony in Equestria. I laugh whenever Rarity starts talking about "fashion", she wouldn't know beauty if it slapped her on the flank. We fly to the Shelter, about three blocks from my house. I look over at Fluttershy and forget to flap my wings. (So you're probably wondering, how in the world am I a Pegasus? Turns out my Grandmother married a Pegasus.) I hit the ground hard and what lights were still on in my head blink out.
"Oh, Bass, are you okay?" I hear a soft voice ask. As the world comes into view I notice something blocking out the sun, I realize Fluttershy is on top of me. She realizes the position she's in and shyly backs off.
"I- I'm fine, thanks." I say as I try to get up, Fluttershy comes over and helps me up.
Sweet Celestia she's touching my wings!
"Bass... I have to tell you..." Fluttershy begins. "Nevermind... it's, it's not important."
I look at her curiously, but she shys away so I restrain myself from asking questions. We walk into the shelter and set up, we're supposed to give away animals to anypony who wants one.
2 hours later
After two hours we decided that it was time to close up shop.
"Hey, Fluttershy, want me to walk you home?" I ask her.
"S-sure, that would be n-nice." The yellow mare replied.
We walked to her house, which was almost across the street from mine.
"Hey, Fluttershy I want you to have these." I say as I give her seven V.I.P. Concert tickets.
Her smile nearly knocks me off the bridge.
Okay, keep calm Bass Boost, keep calm. I repeat in my mind.
I trot to my own home and go in. Mom walks up to me wearing her "Wub The Cook" apron.
"How did it go with Fluttershy?" She asks. I smile and she just nods. Without thinking I accidently walk into Octavia's room without knocking. I have just been scarred for life. Apparently Earth ponies have a form of telekinetics, doors hurt. I walk to my room to see Rainbow Dash at my window with her guitar on her side. I tell her to come in I have way more than enough amps. We start off playing "Through the Fire and the Flames." Dashie is cute but she's no Fluttershy.
"Hey, if you two will play 'I Don't Care' I'll join in." Tavia says walking in with her Cello. Eventually Fluttershy knocks at the window asking what the commotion is. I open the window and let her in, then ask Mom to play the song 'Bring Me To Life'. Flutter and I do the vocals.

As we finish we notice a steady roar, only to find all of Ponyville at our doorstep. Fluttershy's friends were near the front, along with the Princesses for some reason. I was speechless and Fluttershy looked like she was about to faint, her mouth was wide open in disbelief. I close it with my hoof, she snaps out of it and hugs me, I return the hug. I notice Fluttershys wings perk up, uncontrollably mine do to. When it seems nothing could ruin the day, Discord decides to screw it up by shuffling across the floor. My mom throws off her apron and smashes a button on the wall, opening a nearby hatch from which a black speaker rolls out.
"Stand back everypony! I got this!" Mom says with an edge to her voice.
"Have we been here before? Yea, we've definently been here before..." Discord says nervously.
Mom smiles and removes her glasses, a rare sight to see in public.
"Bass Cannon." She says quickly and rapid taps the button. As the Wubs fly, along with the annoying Chimera, Fluttershy pushes me over and pins me with her forehooves.
"Mind if I hold you down against your will for a moment?" She asks through a devious smile. I start to freak out a bit, which makes Fluttershy laugh, which scares me worse. She then steps off of me and I wipe the sweat from my brow. Then she turns around and kisses me in front of the whole town. Rainbow Dash turns around and sees a smoking pile where Fluttershy's house was.
"Umm, guys, I think we're down a house." She says with a nervous laugh.
"Don't worry, I'm sure Vinyl and Neon won't let me go homeless." Flutter said.
