The Rule of Disharmony

Ten years has passed since the elements of disharmony took over equestria, which they split into six, Midnight Dusk rules Ponyville the place where they all once lived while Bad Apple claimed Manehatten for her to rule, Silver Dollar almost instantly claimed The Crystal Empire, and Pink Snooty has made the ponies of Trottingham miserable, but Cloudsdale is relatively happy even though Shadow Dash makes them all watch her preform against their will, and Cruel Blood... Well lets just say she really enjoys torturing the ponies of Detroit.

But some ponies live in areas not claimed by any of the new monarchs, for example Zecora lives in the Everfree forest with her adopted  unicorn daughter Sunset Twinkle

You might be wondering who is Sunset Twinkle and how did she get there?

Sunset Twinkle was an orphan in Ponyville orphanage but when Midnight Dusk declared a new law that forces all unicorns to have there horns broken she ran away deep into the everfree forest.

The rain pounded down on the roof as the shrieks of young foals have their horns, the blood oozing out of the broken tips as they are being chopped off but Midnight Dusk, one by one each scream louder than the rest.

Many tried to escape but hardly any prevailed and the few that managed to escape were forced back to an even more painful procedure.

But at that moment Sunset saw her chance, she bolted to the door.

"HEY STOP THAT FILLY" one guard shouted.

But all the guards were too preoccuiped with all the other fillies and colts that were also trying to escape that they couldn't divert their attention to stop her.

Sunset got lucky but after she bursted out the doors five more guards came following her.

one guard pointed his hoof at sunset and shouted "OVER THERE!" directing everypony near by to look in the direction he was pointing.

the panicked filly didn't know what to do, one wrong move and she could be caught and have horn removed by Midnight Dusk.

Sunset ran towards an ally way hoping it wasn't a dead end, but her hopes were in vain because it was indeed a dead end, and with no where to go she tried climbing the fence stoping her from the horrible fate that was calling her name With a thud she landed on the other side of the fence, without a moments hesitation she ran towards the edge of Ponyville, but with no where to go and guards pursuing her she ran deep into the everfree forest unaware of the dangers that dwell within.

Eventually when the filly felt she was safe she came to a stop to catch her breath and comprehend what had just happened.

But she soon saw a dark shape walking towards her.

"Stay away! Please don't hurt me." She pleaded to the thing drawing closer.

But to her surprise the creature responded.

"What do you mean little one why would I cause you fear?" It inquired as it revealed it self to be a zebra.

After what seemed like hours of explaining the zebra introduced herself as zecora and offered to help the filly by hiding her horn and giving her a roof to stay under but one the one condition that she could help sunset in harnessing her magical abilities.
