A Friend Lost

Twilight ran out of Pinkie Pie's basement, vomiting on herself and the stairs on the way out. She had seen it. All of it. Pinkie Pie had murdered Rainbow Dash, along with countless others. What's worse, she had put them into CUPCAKES. Pinkie was a horrible, murderous psychopath and cannibal.

Twilight needed to clear her mind. Rather than running off to find one of her friends to warn them of the monstrosity Pinkie Pie was, she chose to run off in a random direction. After several minutes of running, a winded Twilight found herself in a large, empty field bordering the Everfree forest. She sat down and tried not to think. Suddenly, she heard hoofsteps behind her.

She turned to see a flat-maned Pinkie Pie in a black vest with multiple sheaths for knifes, as well as a larger one for a sword on her leg. She also had a blood red bit in her mouth, in addition to a rectangular object strapped to her side with a circular pipe jutting out the front end of it.

"Pinkie?! Why?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?!" Twilight screamed at Pinkie.

Pinkie gave her only a hard, determined stare, and two words.
"I'm Pinkamena."

Something broke in Twilight. She didn't fell remorse, she didn't hesitate. She lunged at Pinkamena, attempting to impale her with her horn. Sidestepping quickly, Pinkamena dodged the Purple alicorn's horn. Twilight used her wings to climb above Pinkamena, readying a combat spell. Pinkamena quickly dropped her bit and pulled out a small object from her vest. Twilight wasn't able to identify the object until it struck her wing, sending her to a painful crash on the ground.

Getting back up on legs that hurt to stand on, Twilight looked at her wing. She winced in pain as she noticed the small, sharp throwing knife embedded in her now-bleeding wing. Pinkamena grinned at twilight, and then drew her pink-hilted sword and held it with her mouth. She walked slowly toward Twilight, obviously enjoying herself. Pinkamena lunged at Twilight, missing her by a hair. Twilight, taking advantage of the opening, bucked Pinkamena hard in the face. Pinkamena reeled, but then turned back to Twilight and spat blood onto the ground.

In the short null in the conflict, Twilight used a spell she had learned to form her blood into a hardened, red blade. Her studies into Dark Magic had paid off. Obviously surprised by this, Pinkamena dropped her sword and fumbled for the bit that was now dangling from the object strapped to her side. Once again taking advantage of Pinkamena's distractions, Twilight teleported behind Pinkamena and plunged her blood-knife into Pinkamena's back, missing her spine. Pinkamena screamed in pain as blood spurted out of the wound in her back, but turned around, sword back in her mouth, and managed to cut a line across Twilight's chest. Adrenaline rushing now, Twilight teleported a small distance away, calling upon her immense knowledge of spells to cast a pain-numbing spell on herself.

How does Pinkamena even stand that much pain without it hindering her at all?! That mare is freaking insane!

Twilight barely got that thought out of her mind before Pinkamena was almost upon her again. Once again forming a blade from her own blood, Twilight flung it at Pinkamena. It impaled Pinkamena in the chest, causing her to once again scream in pain. Both mares were bleeding badly by this time, and Pinkamena was almost entirely covered in her own blood.

Twilight looked around her in a panic. She realized now what a terrible mistake she had made in not telling someone about Pinkamena first. She was going to die here. Making her decision on instinct, Twilight turned and ran back in the direction she had come from. The diminished pain from the wounds was still enough to cloud her concentration, preventing her from teleporting. She stole a glance behind her and saw Pinkamena sheath her sword, take up the bit in her mouth and chase after her.

After running for about a minute, her one wing flapping quickly to help her gain speed, Twilight her a loud BANG behind her, and felt something hit her only good wing. She heard a bone snap, and her wing drooped limply beside her body. Grimacing in pain, Twilight readied a spell to shoot fire at Pinkamena. When she turned around she saw Pinkamena bite down on the bit in her mouth again, causing a loud BANG again and a small jet of fire to come out of the object strapped to her side. Twilight fired her spell, which Pinkamena dodged.

"Your princess couldn't save you; you have no hope." Pinkamena jeered at her adversary.

"What?!" Twilight shouted at her.

Pinkamena licked her lips, removing the blood that had gathered there. "Remember the vanilla cake I made two weeks ago? That's why no one has seen Celestia at all recently." Grinning like a maniac, Pinkamena once more drew her sword from the sheath on her leg and charged at Twilight. Twilight formed several long, sharp spikes from her blood, and flung them at Pinkamena with her magic. All of them missed but one, which pierced Pinkamena's chest, causing her to slow down momentarily. Twilight turned tail and again ran towards the town, hoping to find someone in Ponyville to help her. Pinkamena sheathed her sword and drew out in her mouth another throwing knife. She threw it at Twilight, missing. Drawing her last throwing knife, she flung it at Twilight and it embedded itself in Twilight's neck.

Twilight screamed and collapsed on the ground. Struggling to stand on her hooves, Twilight staggered toward the village that was now in sight. The evening sun shining behind her, Twilight galloped as best she could towards her goal.

Pinkamena followed behind her, her bit in her mouth once again. Pinkamena fired one shot, and missed. Then another. Then another. On the fourth shot, Twilight was hit in one of her hind legs. Twilight screamed and collapsed for the last time, looking at the bloody mess that was her right hind leg. She whimpered in pain and still attempted to crawl toward her goal. Pinkamena walked up to her.

Twilight looked up at the monster that was once her friend with pleading eyes. Pinkamena drew one of her smaller knives, and plunged it into the purple mare's chest. Twilight screamed for the last time, then died. Leaving her knife inside Twilight's now-unbreathing chest. Chest heaving, the still-bleeding Pinkamena sat down to rest.

Pinkamena slowed her breathing and began to think about what a predicament she was in. She had, in recent months, killed the co-leader of Equestria, as well as two of the bearers of the Elements of Harmony. And she had enjoyed it. Pinkamena knew she was insane. She had laughed giddily while dismembering one of Equestria’s gods. She both hated herself and loved what she did.
Pinkamena realized that if any threats arose that required the elements of harmony to be defeated, Equestria was doomed. And it was all her fault. While she wouldn’t have chosen Celestia as her latest victim, her number had come up. Kidnapping Celestia wasn’t too hard; she simply drugged her the same way she had Rainbow Dash. Celestia was too trusting of her subjects.

Then an idea and a realization hit Pinkamena like a hammer to the face. She had already screwed Equestria over, so why not dig a deeper hole for everyone? Pulling her knives from Twilight’s body, Pinkamena walked back into the forest to bandage herself. She would need more weapons, and more ammo.
