"Okay... Time to go into the oven!" she said, as she grabbed the cupcakes and put them into the oven. She walked out of the kitchen, and went upstairs to her room. She played with a ball for 20 minutes or so, and walked back downstairs. She walked into the kitchen again, grabbed the oven mitt, and took out the cupcakes. "Oh frosting! I love frosting!" she said as she took out the frosting she had made from earlier. She squirted the pink frosting over the cupcakes, and added an apple slice on top. "Perfect!" She then grabbed a white box, transferred the cupcakes into the box, and closed while wrapping 2 strings around and tying them like a bow. She picked the box up by the strings and trotted out of the kitchen. She dashed out the door, rushing towards Twilight's. "Twilight... I... have... a... deliv-" Pinkie then fell on the floor of the library. "Pinkie!" Twilight rushed toward the pink pony laying on the floor. "Are you alright?!" Twilight said, as she helped her up. "Hang on- let me- catch my- breath..." Pinkie paused and breathed heavily. "You alright now?" Twilight asked. "Yeah! I'm fine!" Pinkie said as she continued, "I was hoping you could deliver these cupcakes. They're for a customer in Cloudsdale." "Uh...Pinkie..." "What is it, Twilight?" "I'm a unicorn." "Oh, sorry, Twilight! I totally forgot! I'll just go ask Fluttershy! Well, bye, Twilight!" Pinkie said as she picked up the white box and trotted out of the library. "Bye, Pinkie!" the unicorn said as she chuckled and mumbled to herself, "Don't worry, Twilight. She's just being Pinkie Pie."     Pinkie knocked on Fluttershy's door. "Fluttershy? Are you home?" Pinkie cocked her head to the side as she waited for a respond. "Pinkie... is that you?" Pinkie could hear a sound, but it was too low to hear clearly. "FLUTTERSHY!! IS THAT YOU SPEAKING? I CAN HEAR A SOUND, BUT I CAN'T MAKE IT OUT!! SPEAK UP!" Pinkie shouted to make sure that Fluttershy would hear her and respond clearly. The door flew open. "Pinkie, please do be quiet. My animals are sleeping, and they'll get cranky if they get waked from their afternoon naps." Her voice was the same level, but Pinkie could hear her better since that door wasn't in the way. "Oh, sorry, Fluttershy. I didn't know." Pinkie said as she lowered her voice in the middle of her sentence. "Before I leave, I wanted to ask you if you could deliver these cupcakes for a customer who lives in Cloudsdale." Pinkie said. "Oh, my. I'm sorry, Pinkie. But i'm afraid I can't." Fluttershy said as she backed away shyly. "Well, why not? I mean, you've got wings." Pinkie asked. "I have to stay and watch my animals. Sometimes they wake up for a little snack, and if i'm not here, there will be no one to give them their snacks." Fluttershy replied. "Well... that's alright, Fluttershy. I'll just go ask Rainbow Dash. See ya'!" Pinkie said as she rushed out the door, but gently closed it. "RAINBOW DASH! RAINBOW DASH!!!" Pinkie shouted as she was pedaling her crazy contraption right next to Rainbow Dash's house. Pinkie heard a loud "GAHH!" and a thump. "Rainbow Dash?" Pinkie said as she raised her eyebrows. Another thump... and another... and another... The door to Rainbow Dash's house opened. Rainbow wiped her eyes sleepily, as she stared at Pinkie with her crazy contraption. "Hi, Rainbow! Were you still sleeping? Oh, sorry I was just wondering if you could deliver these cupcakes. They're for a customer in Cloudsdale. I already asked Fluttershy, but she couldn't because she had to stay home for animals in case they wanted snacks, and she-" Rainbow Dash stuffed her hoof inside Pinkie's mouth. "Pinkie...I'm sleepy, I don't want to hear you talk fast right now." Rainbow took out her hoof from Pinkie's mouth as she yawned. "But, sure...sure. I'll deliver your cupcakes. Just let me eat breakfast first. I'm really hungry after I wake up." "Oh, okay, Rainbow. Meet me at Sugarcube Corner when you're finished!" Pinkie smiled, as she pedaled her contraption down to land. 1 HOUR LATER... Rainbow landed in front of Sugarcube Corner's door. She wasn't as tired, but still pretty tired. Rainbow trotted into Sugarcube Corner, as she waited at the counter. "Pinkie? I'm here. I'm ready to deliver your cupcakes." she said as she put her hoof on the counter and looked around. tap tap tap... "Pinkie? I don't have all day!" tap tap tap... "Oh hi, Rainbow!" Pinkie suddenly popped her head out of Sugarcube Corner's kitchen. "I didn't see ya' there!" "Pinkie, i'm pretty sure you heard me. Anyways, am I going to deliver those cupcakes or not? Cause', I got things to do. I don't have the whole day, ya' know!" "Sorry, here you go." Pinkie gave Rainbow the white box with the cupcakes in it. "Cloudsdale, did you say?" Rainbow asked. "Yep!" Pinkie smiled. "Oh okay. Well see ya', Pinkie." "Bye, Rainbow!" Pinkie waved as Rainbow flew out the door. This would be the perfect time to practice my moves... Rainbow thought as she flew towards the Everfree Forest. I'll fly towards the top of the Everfree Forest and then i'll loop around a bunch of times... then loop around more towards the top of Ponyville! Rainbow smiled as she flew towards the Everfree Forest. NOW! Rainbow looped around around about 5 times. YES!! I DID IT! Rainbow thought as she looked at her back. "Oh no! Where's the box?!" To be continued... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Discoveries //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Discoveries CHAPTER 3: DISCOVERING                                                                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pinkie gulped again as she stared at the amulet. "What... is this?" she whispered to herself. She picked up the amulet, still staring at it. She threw it into her saddle bags, and trotted off to Ponyville. She trotted through the streets of Ponyville, and ended up at Sugarcube Corner. She hopped upstairs as she slowly reached into her saddle bags and she slid the amulet out. She stared at it awkwardly and examined it. Red and blue gems throughout the amulet, a small red gem inside a blue gem in the very middle on the collar of the amulet... yep. It was for sure an amulet. Looked pretty powerful, if you asked Pinkie. She kept staring at it. She cocked her head to the side, not knowing if she should see Twilight and tell her everything... or if she should keep it a secret, and just ask Twilight for a simple book on amulets. She shrugged, and decided she would keep it a secret. "This should be a total super duper secret from Twilight." She finally decided. She grabbed a blue box and shoved the amulet in there. "This box will do the trick of hiding the amulet." She closed the box, put it on the floor, and ran out the door. She padded into the library and saw Twilight writing on a small scroll. She was mumbling something, something Pinkie could not understand. Pinkie figured Twilight was mumbling the words she was writing. A lot of ponies do that. "Uh, Twilight?" Pinkie was peaking at Twilight from behind. Twilight whirled herself to face Pinkie, dropping her scroll and quill. "Oh, Hi Pinkie! Didn't know you were there." Twilight levitated her scroll and quill back on the small table. "How can I help you?" She said as she turned around and continued to write. "I was wondering if you had a book on amulets?" Pinkie asked. "Amulets?" Twilight said curiously. She walked toward the bookshelves as she levitated a dark blue book from the shelves. "Actually we do. I don't know why you would need such a bo-" Pinkie grabbed the book from Twilight's magic aura. "Thanks, Twilight!" Pinkie smiled as she bounced out of the library. "WAIT! PINKIE!" Twilight yelled. "Yes, Twilight?" Pinkie replied. Twilight padded over to Pinkie in the doorway. "Could you help me organize these books?" She said. "Oh sure!" Pinkie smiled as she bounced over to one of the bookshelves. "What do you need such a book for?" Twilight asked Pinkie as she was putting away some books. "Oh... nothing really," Pinkie replied as she laughed nervously. "I just wanted to learn my... amulets?" Pinkie stated awkwardly. "Oh. Okay." Twilight levitated some more books over to Pinkie's pile. "So hows Spike?" Pinkie asked. "Oh Spike? He's with Rarity," She chuckled as she continued to put away some books. "Helping her sort some clothes out or something, I think." Twilight had put all her books in the shelves and so did Pinkie. "Well i'm off to Sugar cube Corner!" The earth pony said as she smiled, picked up her book, and hopped out the door. Twilight smiled and waved as Pinkie left the library. Pinkie raced up the stairs of Sugar cube Corner and opened the book. She flipped through the pages that told all the amulets in Equestria. "Golden amulet... ruby amulet... aha! A sapphire and ruby amulet." She looked at the picture in the book, the same amulet as she had in the box was printed on the page. "It says that it's named, "The Alicorn Amulet II," Pinkie said. She cocked her head to the side. "The Alicorn Amulet II?" She shrugged as she began to read the description. "The Alicorn Amulet has been known as the most powerful amulet in all of Equestria. But it's not. Not after The Alicorn Amulet II was found. The original Alicorn Amulet was taken into a shop and was supposed to stay there for safe keeping. By the time the Alicorn Amulet was found, the original Alicorn Amulet's powers were somehow fading. This version of the Alicorn Amulet actually turns ponies into an alicorn. It is currently the most powerful thing in Equestria, replacing the original Alicorn Amulet." she read.    Pinkie's eyes widened. //-------------------------------------------------------// The author's letter to YOU. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Convinced CHAPTER 4: CONVINCED                                                                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pinkie's eyes widened even more as she tried to stop herself from being so tempted to try it on. "No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no! This is NOT what I am supposed to be doing!" Pinkie screamed. "But... the most powerful thing in Equestria... oh that is just SO TEMPTING!" The pony was getting so temped, she didn't even hesitate about her friends. Pinkie just laughed and said, "Oh, Pinkie! What are you thinking! You know that you can't possibly rule Equestria with this thing!" Pinkie shuffled her hooves. "Oh... but... ARGH!" She was beginning to get frustrated with herself. It was like there was two people in her head. "Do it..." the voice called out. "STOP IT!" She yelled. "STOP STOP STOP STOP IT!" "Try the amulet on, Pinkie... you'll be so powerful... *hiss...*" It was true. She had two other PEOPLE in her brain. One evil, yet so clever. Pinkie was so close to trying on the amulet, and she wanted to rule Equestria now, too. "Do it now... Rule Equestria! You can have power over all those *peasants, and you can make them your **slaves too.*" the voice hissed. Pinkie held her hooves to her ears and shouted once again, "STOP IT! YOU MEANIE MEAN MEANIE PANTS! I WILL NOT LISTEN TO YOU!" She ran in circles in her room and tripped. Her messy hair fell in her face as she tried to stop from listening to the terrible voice. "You're like... the monster inside me..." she whispered. "Please... stop." She hated how this voice always spoke to her, and it was getting so tense. Pinkie just wanted it to stop. The voice started only a week ago, and seemed to just disappear... until now. "Please, I beg of you. Why are you doing this to me..." a tear fell down her cheek. She just hated it so much. "You're stupid... you need my help to rule over this dumb place. You're the true ruler of this land... put it on, Pinkie. You can rule every one of these idiots... *morons.**" the voice once again hissed at her. The thing is, the voice inside her head wants Equestria only to *herself, and she's going to use Pinkie to do it. Pinkie couldn't stand it. Her hair popped and it went directly straight. She talked in a low, glum voice. "Make it... stop." The voice inside her head seemed satisfied with this. "I want you... to put it on." "I... I... can't," The voice inside her head is herself, only... her evil side. "We have to wait till the right time to strike our enemies..." She smiled insanely. She was under the voice's spell. She was convinced that she would rule Equestria. And with the voice's help, she's going to get it. LATER THAT NIGHT... "What do we do now?" Pinkamena's voice came from a bush in the pure darkness. "I don't know, Miss Pinkamena..." the voice hissed. Pinkamena stared at up her forehead. "Did you just call me Miss Pinkamena?" She said with disgust. "Are you deaf? Of course I did, idiot." Pinkamena punched her forehead. "Shut up or I'll purposely give you a headache," Pinkamena crept forward and slowly slid behind Twilight's library. "I think they're having a party in there. We have to go in. You know, usual Pinkie stuff. Show 'em we're not up to no good..." "Yes, but how are we supposed to get your *hair** like the way Pinkie had it?"* the voice replied. "Hmm... It seem we'll just have to disguise it... or you can make me happy and shut up." "I'll shut up," the voice stopped talking. "It's not working. We have to pretend you got... mad or something. Your friends will cheer you up." "Okay... If it doesn't work, you're getting that headache!" Pinkamena gasped loudly and tried to sound as mean and sad as possible. "How is this?" She said. "Fine, keep that up and you'll be Pinkie again in no time!" Pinkamena walked into the library, trying to look as sad and mean as possible, too. Twilight trotted over to her and smiled, then she frowned. "Pinkie, are you okay?" Twilight cocked her head to the side and just stared at Pinkamena in the eyes. "Oh, I'm... fine." She said kind of mean. "You sound like you really need some cheering up... What happened?" Twilight grabbed her by the hoof and they started walking to the punch bowl. "Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy are here. Isn't that nice?" Twilight just smiled again at Pinkamena. "No..." Pinkamena gritted her teeth, not liking this one bit. "What is the matter with you? Did you have a really bad day or something? You're never this... mean!" Twilight frowned at her once again. "Let's just..." she took a deep breath. "Let's just go meet the others, okay?" Pinkamena and Twilight arrived at the punch bowl where they greeted their friends. "Oh my stars, darling! Whatever happened to your mood, dear? You seem... sad." Rarity told Pinkamena. "Oh my, you do look a little in the blues today, Pinkie." Fluttershy said. "You sure look a little down in the dumps today, Pinkie!" Applejack replied "Ditto." Rainbow Dash just folded her arms and was flying in place in the air. "I'm just... a little... sad?" Pinkamena tried the best she could to try to convince her friends that there was nothing wrong with her, but this was getting a little pointless. "I have to go, I'm sorry. I swear that I'll be back though. I'm just... um... a little down in the dumps, that's all... hehe." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The Amulet //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The Amulet CHAPTER 2: THE AMULET                                                                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rainbow Dash flew on top of the Everfree Forest, searching for a white box. You're never going to find it. It's very small, and the forest is very big. she thought. I'm so stupid. What was I thinking searching for it?! Rainbow shook her head at the thought, and flew down to Ponyville. Oh... oh my gosh... Pinkie is going to kill me!! Wait a minute- Pinkie won't kill me! Rainbow quickly realized. She trotted to Sugarcube Corner to tell Pinkie the news. "Pinkie? Are you here? It's an emergency!" Rainbow heard the tap, but faster then she heard it earlier tap tap tap tap tap tap tap Pinkie was racing down the stairs. "Hi Rainbow! What is it? Did you deliver the cupcakes yet? Wow that was fast. I can't believe it! I didn't know you were that fast! Oh my goodness we should have like a par-" Rainbow shoved her hoof into Pinkie's mouth. Again. She took out her hoof from Pinkie's mouth. "PINKIE, STOP TALKING I NEED TO TELL YOU SOMETHING VERY VERY IMPORTANT!" Rainbow shouted into her face. "I LOST THE CUPCAKES AND THEY MIGHT HAVE WENT INTO THE EVERFREE FOREST." "Oh... okay, Rainbow. I'll just go and find them. No biggie!" Pinkie smiled as Rainbow stared at her. I thought she was going to be mad at me. RAINBOW WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? THIS IS PINKIE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT. Rainbow thought to herself. Rainbow smiled to herself as she watched Pinkie race out the door with her saddlebags. Right then, Rainbow felt a spark of happiness in her as she realized, Pinkie would never get mad at her best friends. WHEN PINKIE ARRIVED TO THE EVERFREE FOREST... Okay, Pinkie. It's time... Pinkie sighed to herself as she trotted into the Everfree Forest. gulp... tap tap tap... went her hooves. shake shake shake... went her body. Relax, Pinkie. There's nothing to be afraid of. Who was the gal who giggled in the face of danger in this very forest? You. Nothing can scare you! Pinkie chuckled nervously to herself as she heard a rustle in the bushes. "WHO'S THERE?" Pinkie shouted into the air. hoo hoo hoo. The wind was blowing in her mane, as it wasn't just windy, but it was also cold. She turned around only to see a squirrel looking for nuts. The squirrel cocked his head when he saw Pinkie, and scampered away. After the bushes rustled, and the squirrel ran away, the white box dropped from the trees and landed in the bushes. "There you are!" Pinkie said to the plain, white box. She picked up the box, and right there, under where the box had been, was an amulet. Not just an amulet. But an amulet with red and blue gems. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Convinced //-------------------------------------------------------// The author's letter to YOU.
