Chapters Twilight sat by the pink and red table. She was at sugarcube corner, and in front of her was a brown egg. She leaned forward and sniffed the egg, only to almost fall backwards of the strong smell of chocolate.
"Ehh.... Pinkie, Are you sure its healthy to eat chocolate THIS strong? It doesn't seem like it..."
Suddenly the egg dissapeared in a flash of pink and now beside her, Pinkie stood, smiling and looking at Twilight.
"Don't you worry Twilight! I got it under super-duper-dupie control! Ive eaten chocolate as strong as that 329 times!"
Twilight just stared at the party pony. 'How did she...? Urrgh... its just pinkie beeing Pinkie.....' she thought for herself. She opened her saddle bag and found a package.
"Oh right! I forgot! I where going to deliver the new Daring Do book to Rainbow! Sorry Pinkie, but i gotta go!"
"Okie Dokie Lokie! See you later!"
Twilight stood up and walked out trough the door, to start the search of Rainbow.

A little later dat day.... (i will spell it like that on purpose..)
"Applejack! Are you there?" Twilight called to the barn in sweet apple acres.
"Sure as sugar are! Wath can i do for ya Twi? Applejack awnsered. She walked our of the barn only to see a worried twilight.
"Applejack, we have an emergency. Rainbow Dash is gone!"
"Wath in tarnation! Is this some kind of joke?"
"No it ain't! I cant find her anywhere! The cloud she usually sleeps on is empty, shes not in sugarcube corner and even Scootaloo hasen't seen her today!"
"I'll be happy to help you twilight! A missing RD cant be too hard to find!"
Little did she know that it would take 5 hours to get to the next scene...

"Pinkie! Can you please help us?" Twilight called to the bouncing pink pony.
"Sure! Then theres 2 down..." Pinkie said. Almost whispering that last part.
"Wath are ya talkin' 'bout?" Applejack asked
"Oh! My pinkie sence tells me that one of my best freinds are sad! And you two doesn't seem sad so theres about... 95 freinds left to check!"
"How'dya do that?" Applejack asked.
Twilight bent er to Applejack and whispered in her ear;
"Remember... shes just beeing Pinkie... Remember what happend last time we asked how she allways break the 4th wall?"
Applejack Just got chills going trough her body when she rememberd the long and awkward conversation with Pinkie. And how Twilight tryed to take notes but just failed. Fluttershy just sat and took it all. Rarity complained and luckily diddn't whine. And Rainbow Dash fell asleep. Applejack quickly pushed the memory away to start focusing instead when her hat suddenly started to feel weird...
"Pinkie, have you seen Rainbow today?" Twilight asked. In the backround Applejack corrected her hat when it suddenly flew away.
"Oh sweet celestia..." Applejack grumbled to herself.
"Lets just get Applejacks hat back..." Twilight said, seeing the whole scene.
And the three of them walked in the way that the hat went.
The hat landed under a certain cloud building. Twilight and Pinkie stopped while Applejack Grabbed her hat and then went to the others.
"Ufcourse! We forgot to check Rainbow Dash's house!"
"Well, lets go and check it out then!" Pinkie said. She suddenly tied baloons to each and everypony and they all went up to Rainbows Mansion. When the got there, something was wrong. The Rainbow streams puring out where almost gray. And the clouds where as dark as rainclouds. They removed the baloons and jumped down to the extreamly solid cloud floor. They walked to a window only to see something never seen before. A crying Rainbow Dash. Her Rainbow mane was even grayer now, then it was when Discord all put a spell on them. Her cyan coat was almost the same colour of the clouds. And her eyes... they where a dark purple color instead of the magneta.
They all dropped their mouths in shock before the cloud floor collapased and the landed in the soft grass below.
"Can y'all belive it? RD's having a hard time." Applejack almost whisperd.
"I cant belive it... Ive never seen Rainbow cry like that before... and... how did her fur and mane and not to mention the eyes become so... Dark..."
"Nopony knows twi, but one thing is for sure. She ain't herself."
Pinkie diddn't say anything. The only thing that was going on with her was that her many slowly became flatter and thiner after every second.
"You allright pinkie?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah... we need to find out what happend." She awnserd.
Applejack and Twilight where in shock. Her voice wasn't normal. It sounded more like a story voice who tells tales then pinkie.
"I have an idea." Twilight said.
"Wath is that twi?" Applejack asked.
"We wait to our weekly picnic that is on sunday, and there we gather everyone and ask why she was so sad."
"Great idea Twilight!" Pinkie spoke up. Now totally normal. Or.. if you ever can call Pinkie normal.
"Ah agree. Lets wait 'till then. But now, i gotta go, so cya then y'all!" Applejack said while she started to walk away towards sweet apple acres.
"I got to go now to. Bye pinkie!" Twilight said.
"Okie Dokie Lokie! Bye Twilight! And the book you'll be looking for will be under the letter D!"
"How did you...?" She turned around to see that Pinkie where gone and so with Applejack.
She turned around and went home, only to find the book under D.
Chapter 1; the day after.
The day after RD's sudden breakdown. Twilight made all her freinds (exept RD)go to the libary to ask if someone knew what she was crying about. When all was there at their little "meeting", she started the investigation.
"So... Anypony here that knows what the reason might be?" Twilight asked the 4 freinds sitting around the table. Rarity and Pinkie Pie sat beside eachother in the middle. Beside Pinkie, Applejack. And beside Rarity, Fluttershy. Twilight Sparkle sat infront of everypony.
"Well... No darling, i have not the slightest idea why... Maybe she just... well.. Broke her wing again?" Rarity said the last part with a fake smile that everyone could see trough. She was preatty bad at lying but nopony can be worse at lying then Applejack.
"Well one thing is for sure! She was more gray then a .... gray.... Kitty Sweater!!!" Pinkie Pie screamed out in te room.
Everyone in the room stared at her in confusuion. But ignored her. Its just Pinkie beeing Pinkie Afterall...
"So nopony in this room knows what the problem Could be?" Applejack asked.
"Well, Its extreamly weird because in the morning today she was like nothing wrong or sad had happend! She was just like normal!" Twilight said
"I dont know what you all think but Fluttershy has been extreamly quiet, is there something bothering you?" Rarity said. Fluttershy suddenly started shaking and tryed to avoid eye contact.
"Fluttershy, if you know whats wrong its important that you tell us... for Rainbows sake!" Twilight said.
"W-well... i think it can be about her family..." Fluttershy said.
"'Bout her family? That acually makes some sence..." Applejack replyed.
"Well... that... Acually does make sence!" Twilight screamed out. Making Fluttershy hide a bit more behind he table.
"Well when you say it like that... has anyone ever heard Rainbow talk about her family? Or ever seen a family member?" Rarity asked.
"Well... no... Atleast i haven't..." Twilight said.
"Nat me either." Applejack said."
"Either have i" Rarity said.
"Not me either! She diddn't even mention them in her cutie mark story!"
"You are acually right there Pinkie!" Twilight said.
"What about you Fluttershy?" Rarity asked.
"W-Well... its better if Rainbow Dash tells you..." she said. And she left the room.
"Lets wait untill the picnic. Its soon so... ill see you all then!"
And they all went their seperate ways untill the picnic.
Chapter 2: A 'doozie' of pinkie sence
Twilight slowly climbed the hill. She was on a hill that she and her freinds had named hill 364, and they always had their weekly picnics there. When she got on top, she saw something pink and blue in the sky, but she diddn't bother and continued unpacking the green and pink blanked. The blanket had a green base coulor, and had small pink lines going accross it in a quilt pattern. She packed up a box with cookies and carefully placed each and every cookie in a perfect circle pattern on a plate. Then she took 6 cups out of the basket, followed by a bottle of lemonade. When she was done making them all stand perfectly symetrical, she sat down and waited. 5 min later Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy came along all bringing diffrent things. Fluttershy brought a salad. Pinkie Pie brought balloons and candy and Rarity brought 6 umbrellas and a purple scarf. About 2 min later Applejack arrived with a freashly baked apple pie. When they all had unpacked their things they waited for Rainbow Dash, but after 10 min they got tired of waiting so they thought she would show up later. They where both wrong, and right.
"Ah wonder why RD hasn't come yet." Applejack asked.
"If she doesn't come today, our plan is busted!" Pinkie said.
"It really is strange that she hasn't arrived yet. She always comes before me and takes a nap in a cloud or something above the hill!" Twilight said. She was correct, Rainbow Dash always came first of all and it was now almost a tradition to Pinkie Pie to wake her up in the strangest ways. Last week she blew bubbles that busted above Rainbow so she got covered in soap. And to wake her up with a party cannon was a classic.
Pinkie pie started to shake like crazy, she looked like she was freezing. But more... heavily.
"Pinkie, are you freezing?" Twilight asked. Quickly noticing her heavy shaking.
"Is she freezing!?" Rarity asked. She removed her purple scarf from her neck and placed it around Pinkies neck. Making Pinkie stop shaking.
"There!!! You look smashing!" Rarity said admiring the scarf she had made yesturday.
Pinkie suddenly started to shake again. She was shaking more then a milkshake. Up and down.
"Whats wrong Pinkie!?" Twilight asked. Starting to get a little bit freaked out.
"I-i-its my p-p-piiinkie sence!" She said. Having a hard time talking becuse of The shaking.
"ITS A DOOZIE!!" She succeded to say without and interuption by the shaking.
Suddenly, a pink and blue pegasus crashed down in the middle of their picnic. She looked alot like Rainbow Dash, but older. She had a blue mane that looked like the sea. And the pink fur/feathers where a little darker then the pink on Pinkies body, but still brighter then the pink in Pinkies mane. Her eyes where purple, and not magneta. And her cutiemark where 2 blue lightning bolts.
"Have anypony here seen a Rainbow Dash?" She asked. Her voice where deep and serious, but not evil or dark. It sounded like a Normal Pitched Pinkie. Kinda...
"No but we are waiting for her. What do you want with her?" Twilight asked.
"I have an important messege to tell her." She said with and emotionless voice. Twilight could hear a little bit sadness in it.
"How do you know her?" Twilight asked.
"Im Firefly." She just said.
"Yes, we got tath. But how'dya know her?" Applejack asked.
"Im her mother"
Everypony stared at the pink pegasus. Was the thing she said true? Applejack took her hat off and placed it over her chest. Fluttershy tried to hide behind Applejack, which she sat next to. Twilight just stared and diddn't say a thing. She just looked deeply in the eyes of the pink pegasus. Firefly got a quick eye contact with Twilight and quickly avoided it.
"Bu- th- wa- Huh?!" Was all that could escape Twilights throat.
"Yes, it is true. And Fluttershy, dont hide my dear. I think you should know now that im not dangerous." She said. Fluttershy, encouraged by the words from the pegasus mare, stood up in the middle of the group.
"We all thought you where dead! What happend!?" Fluttershy asked. Her voice where curious. But still low and sweet.
"After th-" Was all she could say before a specific cyan mare with rainbow mane crashed into Fluttershy, making them tumble down the hill. Rarity, Twilight and Firefly where closest to the side where they had rolled down. They looked down only to see Rainbow beeing under a bush, and Fluttershy where beside a rock a few feet away from the bush. They both stood up. Fluttershy covered in some dirt and Rainbow Dash where covered totally in leaves, but she quickly shaked them off.
"Sorry Fluttershy, I flyed faster then i thought..." Rainbow Dash said. She looked up the hill and lost all emotions on her face. She diddn't move a muscle. Her wings where in their same half open state. A small dry tear went down her cheek and landed in the warm grass below. She stood in both awe, sadness, fear and anger.
"Dont worry Rainbow! It was my fault too!" Fluttershy said, not noticing Rainbow's emotionless state.
"Are you okay there sugarcube?" Applejack said while jumping down the hill.
"Oh Oh!! Its a staring competition!!" Pinkie said while making her bouncing way down the hill. She was down at the bottom in 10 seconds flat and suddenly stood in the same way as Rainbow, staring into her eyes.
Her freinds suddenly looked at her in a bit of anger but also confusion.
"Or not..." she said while backing off.
"Are ya there RD?" Applejack asked. Placing her front leg around Rainbows shoulder. When the leg landed on her neck, her tail's color's became grayer. The eyes dark, dark purple. And the cyan coat, like a raincloud. Rainbows legs started shaking and she suddenly fell down on the ground, sobbing quietly.
"You get her to my libary, ill talk with Firefly." Twilight said. Her freinds nodded and carefully helped Rainbow back on her legs and led her towards Ponyville.
After they where out of sight, she went over to Firefly who sat on the stone Fluttershy had landed beside a few moments earlier. She looked down at the ground, wings closed and carefully poked the ground with her backleg.
"Can you explain to me why Rainbow is acting like this?" Twilight asked.
Firefly looked at the purple unicorn that sat beside her in the grass. Twilights eyes showed, confusion, ander and couriousity.
Firefly just sighed. "About... 12 years ago.. At easter... i brought her and Fluttershy to a circus. It was the circus where her father worked on. He was the announcer.... or whatever you call them. Rainbow and Fluttershy Where best freinds. Rainbow got bullied for beeing so over sensitive and everytime she got enough sad, she would lose her colors."
"WAIT" Twilight said, interupting Firefly. "Over-Sensitive? She is the toughest around! She kicked a dragon on the nose, she is the only one who has pulled of a sonic rainboom, she has never quited hunting her dream. Except that one time where she discoverd that Beeing the best where the main priority but then they fixed it... but Over-Sensitive!? And what about the lost of colors!?"
"Yes Twilight Sparkle. She was over-sensitive. That is why she is so cocky. To hide her feelings. You dont kick a dragon on the nose if you are not super cocky. The colors dissaperance where something that came from her fathers side. No doctors or anything could explain it" Firefly said. She looked at the younger mare below her. Twilight looked down at the ground.
"Continue" she said with a weak voice. Almost a whisper.
"Well. A fire broke out. And i brought Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash outside to safety, and then went in again to get her father. I found him, under a a I-Beam that was used in the show. He told me to get out, and to tell Rainbow that he loved her. Then he fainted. I couldn't get him lose. I keept fighting and fighting. And then, the whole circus tent went down on us. And i went in coma. Her father diddn't survive. But i did. And i where in coma for 3 years. When i woke up, i diddn't remember anything. Suddenly i where in Manehatten. The doctors said that they found me beside the I-beam and they couldn't indentefy me. When the doctor told me about the circus, i rememberd. I asked about Rainbow Dash, and he said that they diddn't know where she was. I searched over all of equestria. And then i ended up in Saddle Arabia. I where there for 8 years, but it always felt like something where missing. I moved there to settle down and forget, which where harder then i thought. Suddenly, news about the elements of harmony came along. But by that time, i where to poor to get a train ticket. So for the last year, ive been traveling by foot here. And now im here." Firefly finished the story.
"So she have lived by herself since she was a little filly... Thats so.... Sad... And it also explains why she was crying before when it was easter." Twilight said. A small tear went down from her eye.
"We have a pegasus to talk to!" Twilight said. Firefly got a small smile on her face and started to follow Twilight on their way to back ponyville.
Chapter 4; the hope on a branch.
Firefly and Twilight finally arrived at the libary after what had seemed like hours. Twilight casted a quick glance towards Firefly before knocking at the door. Firefly looked at the ground. Eyes showed nothing but pain, sadness and anger. Even Pinkie would become sad if she saw those eyes. 'I can not imagine what she has been through. First missing three years and then loosing a child of 8, and then when you return y-'. Her thoughts where taken away when a purple little dragon opened the door.
"Twilight! You gotta come!" Spike shouted. Twilight and Firefly where only 2 meters from the door and the little dragon.
"Im on my w-"
"NOW!" Spike interupted.
Twilight zoomed into the Libary. All her freinds where there except of...
"Where is Rainbow Dash?" She asked.
"She lef-" Applejack said before Pinkie Pie interupted.
"She was here 5 minutes ago and before that Applejack had suggested to Rainbow Dash that she should tell us why she was sad a week ago and why she started crying at the picnic, everypony agreed and Rarity said 'Thats a marvouless idea' i said 'Yeah if i know what makes you sad i can help you to start smile' and Fluttershy just nodded her head in agreement like this" she stopped talking and moved to Fluttershy's side and grabbed her head. She started pushing the head back and forth while Fluttershy squeaked a little bit. Pinkie realesed her grip of Fluttershy's head and continued...
"After that Rainbow Dash said that she couldn't and zoomed out the window. After about 3 min that means 2 min before you 2 arrived she landed in a tree in the everfree forest, and now she is napping." Pinkie finished her Beyond the 4th wall story with the widest smile ever. Everyone started at her.
"Well then, whath are we waitin' for? Lets go 'nd get her!" Applejack shouted.
She stood up and started to run towards the exit but suddenly a purple aura grabbed her tail and she fell towards the floor.
"Ouch! How does Rainbow stand gettin' gripped by the tail?! It hurts!" Applejack said. She sat on the floor and had her tail in her forearms.. or... legs....
"I will go. No pony else." Twilight said.
Everyone looked at her and gave her a 'why?' expression.
"If we all go... it might be to much for Rainbow." Twilight said. She looked down at the floor. She wasn't herself. Neither was Pinkie Pie. She still had her pink poofy mane and tail. And her coat was the same pink. But her eyes where ice. It was like her smiling soul that always leaked out, was trapped in a ice bulb.
"Then, what about me?" Firefly asked. She looked at Twilight, waiting for an awnser.
"No... Its your return that has made her sad... No offence but, if you come... it might get worse. I have to talk some sence into her first..." Twilight explained.
"I compleatly understand..." Firefly said. Her eyes showed compassion and understanding.
"I'll be back soon. And Rainbow will come-" Twilight said as she walked out side. She closed the door behind her
"-I hope."
Chapter 5; The Black Beast
Twilight walked into the Everfree forest. She was here becuse of Pinkies ability to break the 4th wall and.... oh god that sounds so weird xD Anyways....
She walked on the path that you usually take when you are on your way to Zecora. The rhyming Zebra. She was going to see her and see if Zecora had seen Rainbow Dash flying into the forest. When she finally got there it looked like it always have. Masks from her homeland and tribal paint patterns on the old 'tree house'. She knocked on the door and was greeted by the rhyming Zebra.
"Hello and welcome Twilight my freind! What bring's you here in the middle of the weekend?" Zecora asked.
Twilight had a worried expression on her face.
"Have you seen Rainbow Dash going in the forest?"
Zecora sat and thought for a while, after a min she finally said;
"I saw a cyan pegasus pass here earlier today... She broke one of my masks on her way."
'That has to be Rainbow!' Twilight thought. A smile suddenly appeard on her face.
"What way did she take when she had bumped into your mask?"
"Unfortunaly, i think se went east, to the cave that is home to The Black Beast"."
"THE BLACK BEAST?! What is that for monster?"
"A old legend from olden time-" Zecora was cut off by Twilight running out of the Tree Hut and heading east.
"That was not so nice i didn't get to finish my rhyme." Zecora said while returning to her cauldron containing a purple soup.
___________________________At Rainbow Dash______________________
'Its all her fault.... She should have stayed dead... then I wouldn't have to go through this.' Rainbow thought for herself. She layed on a branch in a tree outside a cave entrence.
'She shouldn't have gone in after Dad at all... I miss you dad... you would always come up with a solution...' she thought while her eyes started to tear up. She rolled around to lay on her belly, while she buried her face in her hooves. After a minute or two she heard the sound of... Running?
"Rainbow? Rainbow Dash!? Where are you?" She heard a voice calling.
That voice could not be misstaken... it was Twilight.
"Leave me alone." Rainbow said. Her voice where muffled by the low volume and also becuse of her hooves covering her face, but Twilight still heard her.
"Rainbow... We need to talk." She said.
"Why are you here?" Rainbow asked, hooves still covering her face.
"Think for a minute. You are out here alone in the middle of the Everfree forest. In an area that Zecora said is home to something called The Black Beast. Still wondering why im here?" Twilight replyed. Voice full with concern.
"Okay... i see your point." Rainbow said.
'Did she actually... Give up?' Twilight thought.
Suddenly a growl from the cave where heard. It caused the trees to shake so Rainbow fell down.
"What was that!?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I think thats the..." Twilight gulped. Her eyes was filled with terror as the giant panther like creature walked out of the cave. Its eyes where a glowing yellow and even its nose where as black as the rest.
"The Black Beast." Both said in unusion.
Chapter 6; The one who moves the clouds
"The Black Beast" they said at the same time. The panther creature where 5 meters tall, and was growling at the ponies who had waken him up.
"I see that you are scared you fools. Waking me up from my ancient sleep. Now you must pay for your crimes. So i can go and finnish my dreams." It growled. Its voice sounded like a darker version of Big Mac and then added a little bit of Lunas royal Canterlol voice.
"Y-you talk!??" Twilight asked. The yellow eyes of the beast turned to her. She looked into them for a second before quickly turning away. Even a glimpse of the eyes screamed horror. The yellow pearls of ancient legends where so soul crushing as they could be.
"Ufcourse i do you lost little soul. I am the wisest around. I guard the forest from dangers. I take out Fires when they start. And i make the clouds move. All through my dreams. You, the blue one." The beast said as it pointed at Rainbow Dash with its long claw. Even the claw was black.
"H-huh? What i-is it?" Rainbow Dash awnsered. She looked up, but quickly looked down again to avoid the yellow pearls gaze.
"Your name is Rainbow Dash right? Ive heard of you before. The Elements told me of you. Your cockyness, your level of cunning in the skies. I know about it all." The beast said.
Twilight looked at the beast. And the beast quickly turned his gaze to Twilight.
"And you, Twilight Sparkle. Celestias student and soon-to-be princess. You are The element of Magic. Rainbow Dash is Loyalty. What was so improtant that you ran out here and woke up the Protector of the Everfree?" The Beast asked.
"First... I would like to know your name." Twilight said, Staring into the bests eyes. She fought towards herself to continue stare.
"I am Paarthurnax. I got summoned here after my death in a far away land. I got a duty to protect the forest. My brother, Alduin summoned me. He is the wind that blows over the land." Paarthurnax finnished.
"Now you have a choise. I'll give you a 5 second head start. Then i will come after you. If you refuse my offer, i will end you right here, right now." Paarthurnax stood up. He had been sitting.
"1.." he started counting.
"C'mon Twilight!" Rainbow screamed. She grabbed Twilight underneath her forelegs and carried her up in the air.
"Raaaaaaiiiiinnboooooow!!!! Let me DOWN!" She screamed.
"No time!" Rainbow flew towards Ponyville. Suddenly, the wind helped her. It shooved her towards Ponyville.
"Alduin..." Twilight said under her breath.
"I will help you Little ponies. Ive learned my lession of beeing evil. Seems like Paarthurnax have not." The wind whisperd.
"ALDUIN! What are you doing!?" Paarthurnax screamed. He hunted them and was on their tail. He was.... A black dragon?
"Im helping them brother! I cant belive you are the bad guy now!" Alduin screamed. The wind turned to a White dragon.
Hes eyes where blue and it was smaller then a regular dragon. But still as the same size of Paarthurnax. It attacked Paarthurnax.
"Brother! Your soul has turned black as the night! What made you so dark?" Alduin asked as he stopped.
"You did my foe!" Paarthunax said as he attacked. The dragons fought with all their might. Suddenly Alduin stopped.
"You have showed that you are noth worthy of your duty! Be gone!" He screamed. Suddenly he said... words? Anyways he spoke words that opend up a Portal and Paarthurnax went through it as he screamed;
"You will regret this brother!" Then... he was gone. The white dragon flew side by side to Rainbow Dash and Twilight as they slowed down.
"The everfree has always been dark... That was why i thought my brother could change it. I thought he could make it peaceful but no, he made it darker. The everfree will never be the same little ponies. But now, i must go. Bye fellow mortals." He said the last word as he turned to wind and dissapeared.
"That was.... Fast paced...." Twilight said to Rainbow.
"Yeah... I guess i owe you an explenation?" Rainbow said, putting a hopefull grin on her snout.
"You do owe me an explenation. And also an explenation to your mother." Twilight said.
Rainbows grin turned upside down.
"You wouldn't understand Twi, you wouldn't understand how i feel." She said. Her eyes started to water up and her colorful tail turned a bit grayer.
"Just tell me Rainbow." Twilight said with a convincing smile.
"Fine. But its going Be a long story. I will tell at the Libary."
Chapter 7; Behind the walls
Rainbow and Twilight landed outside the libary and where greeted by Spike opening the door.
"Welcome back m'ladys." He said speaking very noble. Or upstuck. Your call.
Twilight nodded to Spike to leave.
"Oh... Okay Twilight... Why do i have to leave?" He asked. Twilight looked in Rainbows direction and Spike followed her eyes direction. Rainbow stood on the floor. Looking at the wooden horse head that was in the libary. Her eyes showed everything but happines or joy.
"Oh... Okay! If you need me i will be at Raritys! The others left and Firefly is in Sugarcube Corner with Pinkie." Spike said as he ran out through the door. He forgot to close it so Twilight used her magic to close the door.
"So...?" Twilight said.
Rainbow looked at Twilight but not in her eyes. She sat down and sighed.
"Allright... Sit down its going to be a long night" Rainbow said. Twilight where shocked at her voice. It where... so calm and... filled with horror and fear. She sat down and looked at Rainbow. She where just as gray as she had been when Discord had manipulated them.
"It all started at a Circus..."

"Mom! You can't go in there!" A filly Rainbow Dash screamed. Her mother Firefly stopped at her words.
"I have to Dash... I have to..." She walked into the Inferno. Just as she had dissapeard out of sight, A wooden beam fell down, dragging fire and flames as it fell.
"Oh.... Oh my..." Fluttershy said behind Rainbow. They where both very young fillys. Neither had their Cutie Marks.
They sat and waited for an hour... the hour turned into a day... Then Fluttershy's father turned up with Rainbow's Uncle.
"We heard what happend Rainbow." Fluttershy's father, Fog Clearer said. Rainbow's uncle stood beside him.(from her dads side) He showed no sadness, just... relief. (I cant spell please tell me if i spelled wrong there)
"Lets go Rainbow." He said. He grabbed her by her wings in his mouth, causing tons of pain for the little filly. She grunted by pain as tears went down her face.
"Let me go!" She begged, but her Uncle, Lighspectrum, Didn't listen. He tossed her up on hes back and flew to Rainbows home.
As they got there he threw her of hes back, making her get a wound on her right wing as she fell. She started sobbing but then got a cold glare from Lightspectrum.
"You are not a baby Rainbow Dash, Get a hold of yourself!" He screamed at her. Rainbow continued to sob quietly. She had never liked her uncle. He would always blame her.
"Grab your things, then we have to go." He said coldly. Rainbow ran up to her room and grabbed her stuff. A pair of Wonderbolt Figures, Her pillow and her blanket, Her flying goggles that she had gottem from her dad and then ufcourse a picture. It was a picture of her and her family, standing outside her house. It had been taken 2 months ago when they had bought their house.
She sighed as she put it down her saddlebag. The saddlebag where to big for her as it was a saddle bag for Adults, but she didn't care. He grabbed her saddlebag and went down the stairs, only to see her uncle looking in drawers and more for valuebles.
"Are you done?" He asked.
"Mm-hm... Are... Are M-mom and dad coming B-Back?" She asked. Looking at her uncle.
"Ufcourse not! If they do, ill get rid of them!" Her uncle said. Rainbow where shocked.
"G-Get rid off t-them?" She asked as her eyes started to tear up.
"What, are you deaf too? Do you really think a fire starts without a reason?" He said. Looking at Rainbow who now where sobbing heavily.
"If you tell anyone i will get rid of you too you little Infestation." He said coldly. Rainbow where now crying.
"Now lets go." He said. He grabbed Rainbow by her wings again and tossed her up on his back.
"What the surburus is in those bags!?" He asked. He threw Rainbow off and opend her saddlebags and found the picture.
"Ha! You really miss them dont you?" He took the picture in his mouth and threw it off the cloud. He searched some more and found her Wonderbolt Figures. He grabbed them and threw them off the cloud like he ha done with the Picture. He then closed the bags and put them on Rainbow who where sobbing again.
"Now lets go!" He grabed her by the tail this time that made Rainbow cry and scream in pain. He threw her up on his back and flew off.

"Thats.... Terrible..." Twilight said. She where hugging Rainbow who where sobbing.
"Take a break... Tell me more tomorrow. You wanna stay here over the night?" Twilight asked Rainbow nodded softly. Twilight made the couch to a bed by pressing a button as Rainbow looked confused. "H-How did you so that?"
"Oh! Its nothing. Dont worry about it." Twilight awnserd. She had never seen Rainbow cry infront of anybody before.
"You see Twilight.... This ... Cocky attitude... its just a barrier... because Behind these walls... im a emotional wreck. And... it will snap... someday... Im afraid... Not for Monsters or illness... but im afraid of myself... Im afraid i will lose it someday... and then its all over..." She said. She sat on the bed. Twilight where shocked for like the hundred time that day. She looked out the window and the moon where up.
"Get some rest... Spike is probely at Raritys. Still... Goodnight Rainbow." She said as she left the room.
"G'night Twi... thanks for everything..." Rainbow said. She layed down and cuddled down beneath the blanket, head resting on the pillow as she fell asleep.
Chapter 9: Rainbow's Childhood
Remember, This is when Rainbow was a filly and it continues right after where the last filly story stopped. Enjoy
Rainbow woke up because of pain. She was laying on a cloud floor in a house, her uncles house.
"Good that you are awake crash." Her uncle spat. Her eyes started to tear up from her bully name. Rainbow Crash. She got it from an accident where she crashed into a wall and made a hole in it. Rainbow got teased because she where horrible at flying. Especially the acrobatics. She had a hard time turning and steering herself so she crashed alot. And the other fillys and colts took at advantage of that. They'd hit her, teased her and more.
"You sad because i called you crash? Get a hold of yourself and ill stop calling you crash. Start flying instead of crashing. Pack up your things, your room is the attic." He said walking out of the room, Rainbow stayed at the floor.
'5 Times... Ive cryed 5 times... Im getting worse then Fluttershy.' she thought for herself. She stood up and walked up to the attic. In the attic there where a old bed, a mirror and boxes. Tons of Boxes. She replaced the dusty old pillow that layed on the bed with her pillow. And did the same with the blanket. After she did that she took her flying goggles. The ones she got from her father, and put them under the pillow.
'Better at flying... I dont need to get better at flying... I'll show him that im great at flying. No.... Im * awesome** at flying.*

3 months later and she had got a routine. She woke up, brushed her teeth, got a shower and left for school. She didn't get any breakfast, so she always bought an apple on her way to school. Always the same apple. Sweet Apple Acres Red Delicious.

She where now known as the cocky one. She would brag as fast as she got the chance, and she didn't get scared of anything. Except her uncle, Lightspectrum. But he had started to be nice towards her. Nicer atleast. The best thing he had done so far was to take her to the announcment of Fillydelphia as host to the Equestria Games. She had been beaten alot after that though for screaming out 'No' in public. She still had a scar on her wing.
Every night she would go to bed at 9:45. Her uncle would fall asleep at 10:10 so she sneaked out to practice. And she had gotten alot better at flying. But this night. September 11th. Things would change...

"RAINBOW CRASH!" She heard her uncle scream out.
"Uh-oh..." she mumbled under her breath. She was outside, Practicing. She had just made another sonic rainboom. The second ever to be done. She had gotten her cutie mark from the first one but her uncle just saw it as a bullet target painted on her flank, so he usually beat her with a platform bat. (Ponyfyed baseball?)
"Why are you outside? Its 12:36!" Her uncle spat. He was right behind the hoovering filly.
"Get inside crash." She hissed. His golden eyes looked like fire and hes facial expression wasn't the happiest.
"No." She said simply. She turned around and faced him. Her face was 10 centimeters from his.
"What did you say?" He asked again. Now pressing his forehead against the fillys.
"I said, No ." She spat again. She stared into his eyes. The golden rings around the pupils where litterly on fire. She gulped because she knew what was coming. But she had a plan.
"Then we will do this the hard way." He said. He quickly flew around the filly and grabbed her right wing. Just as she suspected. She then took the opertunity and bucked him between his legs.
"Owpmhp!" He said under his breath. He lost his grip of her wing and fell down a meter or two but quickly regained his lift. But by now, Rainbow was flying as fast as she could, Unfortuneally, her uncle was hot on her tail. She zoomed between the ponies of Cloudsdale. She Zig-Zagged between buildings and fruit stands. But as fast as she looks over her shoulder, she saw that Lightspectrum was still there. She then had only one option that would demand alot of skill. Fly throught a crowd.
She spotted a crowd of tourists and zoomed into it. She zig-zagged between them. But she suddenly crashed into one pony. Cloudsdale is made for Pegasi. So the stores are just random cloud buildings floating in the sky. Withother words, the streets was air. She fell down faster and faster. She could see her uncle's rainbow trail up in Cloudsdale in the moonlight. Then she hit something, but it didn't hurt. She fell trought a tree. An Appletree. Cloudsdale move accross Equestria to bring weather to all the citys. If she remembered correctly, this week the city would be Ponyville.

"And thats my story of how i got to ponyville." Rainbow finished. Her eyes where still a little red from crying.
"Wow... I didn't know you had such a... Cruel childhood." Twilight said. She was hugging her freind, but the hug would quickly be ended as the cyan pegasus opened her wings and pushed the unicorn away.
"Thank you Twilight... I needed this talk..." she said as she stood in the open window.
"What are freinds for?" Twilight said back. Rainbow sighed.
"You are more then a freind Twilight.... You are like a sister." She said as she left.
Twilight stood up and wakked over to the window. She could see the Rainbow maned pegasus fly around over Sweet Apple Acres. Looking for Applejack.
"What in tarnation!" Applejack yelled. She was stacking hay outside the barn when suddenly a blue flash came in front of her and planted a rainbow tail in one of the hay bales.
"I tbin i coulb ube ome helb" Was all that came out of the haybale.
Applejack started to laugh.
"What are y'all doin' Dash? Takin' a nap?" She said before falling over on her back laughing.
"Bery... fbnny...Now blease geb me oub of herbe!" Rainbow said again.
"O-Okay.... ill get ya ouhooho!! Geez. I'll get you out. Hold on.
Applejack postisioned herself beside the haybale and bucked it. Suddenly all the hay fell apart and a sky blue bundle with rainbows in it appeared.
"Okay Dash, Now Ah wanna know why y'all here." Applejack said as she helped Rainbow up.
"Weeeell..." Rainbow said as she stood up.
"I have actually no idea." She said with a sigh.
"Well... Then Ah can't help ya if ya don't know what y'all need help with." Applejack started picking up the hay and put it in a pile.
"I need Advice." Rainbow suddenly said. She poked the ground with her hoof.
"Ah can help with tath. What do you need advice with?" Applejack asked completly oblivious towards the situation Rainbow had in her hoofs.
"I need advicd on how to forgive a mother that left me with an abusive uncle." She said flattly.
"Abusive uncle!? Wha haven't ya telled me about that before? Applejack asked.
A tear left Rainbow's left eye. Applejack just watched in slow motion as the tear fell slowly towards the ground.
When it reached its 1 way destination, the splash echoed through the barn they had walked into during the conversation.
"I-I have... I have bad memories that ive brought up enough allready..." She said. Sadness filled her voice. She walked slowly beside Applejack.
"Oh... Ah'm sorry Sugarcube... Ah didn't know you feel so bad about it... Are you sure you don't wanna talk 'bout it?" Applejack asked.
Rainbow nodded softly. She closed her eyes.
"If you so desperatly need to know... Talk to Twilight..." Rainbow looked at Applejack.
"The only thing i can say right now... Is that he is gone... And I... F-finished...... I can't say it..." Rainbow speed out throught the window, Leaving the farmpony confused.
'Did Dash just say she finished her uncle? No Ah must have heard wrong. Applejack went back to the hay and started stacking it again, her mind filled with the conversation she had with Rainbow.

"TWILIGHT!" Rainbow yelled as she crashed into the purple unicorn.
'Still better then paying for a broken window... God im glad i left the window open.' Twilight thought for herself.
On top of her layed the cyan pegasus. Rainbow quickly got off her and in the rush, crashed into a bookshelf.
"What is it Rainbow?" Twilight asked as she stood up, but she immidiently tripped over a book on the floor.
"I have to tell you something else that happend!" Rainbow said. She helped Twilight up on her hooves again.
"Shoot." Twilight said.
Rainbow sighed as she prepared to continue the tale.

"Twilight, I need to remind you that what im about to tell you, Can't be heard by any other pair of ears. What im about to tell have to be sealed inside you." The blue pegasus looked into Twilights eyes.
"I Pinkie Promise." She awnsered. The lavender unicorn sat on the floor, Eager to hear what Rainbow was about to tell her.
"And you also must promise of not thinking anything diffrent of me." Rainbow said as her face was three centimeters from Twilights.
"My mind is set. I Pinkie Promise." She replied.
"I wont trust just that Twilight."
Twilight sighed as she backed away from Rainbow and stood up.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly, Stick a cupcake in my Ey-OW!" Twilight accidently forgot to close the eye before putting her hoof there. Again.
"Really? You forget to close your eye before putting your hoof there? That is weird." Rainbow stated.
"Heheh... Sorry about that..." Twilight had her eye closed and blinked a few times, Making sure the Eye was allright.
"What you are about to tell me is going to follow me into my grave Rainbow. As Celestia as my Witness, I will never tell this secret to anypony."
Rainbow smiled at Twilight's statement. She let out a deep sigh before opening her mouth again.
"Good enough. Well... It happend after i started to settle in inside this small town..."

"Thanks Applejack!" The now teen Rainbow Dash said to the Orange farm pony.
"Aw, Chucks Rainbow... Ah'm only helpin' ya out a little bit. Nothing to be all amazed over." Applejack said as she used a lasso to get a Cloud down to the ground.
Rainbow Dash was in the middle of the process of building her cloud home. It was a pegasus tradition to collect clouds and build your own house as you moved out, But when Rainbow moved out as a Little Filly, She couldn't drag them. She would usually sleep in Applejacks trees, Or carved out the inside of a cloud and sleep there. But now, 6 Years later, Here she was. Building her own cloud mansion.
Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie had helped her. Pinkie Pie often spotted out clouds on the sky. Applejack got them with her lasso and reeled them in. And Fluttershy would help to shape the clouds. Rainbow would gladly accept their offers. She DID need help afterall.
"Rainbow, Is that another Rainbow Streak flying accross the sky?" Applejack asked. A rainbow trail after a blue lump zoomed accross the sky, But Rainbow was shaping one of the clouds.
"Who is thath?" Applejack asked again.
"Ehh... Applejack, I think i could use your barn as a hiding spot right now."
"Why?"
"Ok, Long story short: Lost relitive, Hes not very nice towards me."
"Okay then... Y'all better explain later Rainbow. Ah dont want to go around bein' confused like this." Applejack said to Rainbow. They rushed to Applejack's barn.
"Ok, Who is that guy? Lost Reletive? Shouldn't you go and greet him then?" Applejack asked the cyan pegasus.
"Its... Complicated."
"Ah'm all ears Sugarcube."
Just as Rainbow where going to start, The mysterious pegasus crashed through the Window and Into Rainbow.
"You... Little.... SHIT!" He said as he beat her in her face.
Applejack reacted quickly. She jumped into the stallions side.
"Rainbow! Get Big Macintosh!" She said as she fought with the much older stallion.
Rainbow raced out of the barn and into the fields, Looking for the red brother to Applejack. After a minute of Searching, She found him.
"Big... Mac... Applejack... In the barn... Uncle.... Fightning!" Was all that escaped her mouth before falling together into a pile on the ground from exaustion.
"Applejack, Barn and Fightning? Ah dont understand much bu' Ah'm on it." Big mac said as he Rushed towards the barn. After two minutes of heavy breathing, Rainbow got up on her feet and started walking back towards the barn. After a few seconds of walking, She started running. And after five seconds of running, She flew. She flew faster then she had ever done before. A cone was shaping infront of her but Rainbow slowed down before a third-ever Rainboom was created.
When she got to the barn, She could hear the muffled conversation from the inside.
"Who the hay are you!?"
"I am the Younger Brother of Rainbow's Father."
"Isn't that her Uncle?"
"Yes, Im her uncle."
"Then why is Rainbow scared of you?"
"I don't know. I guess she got some weird tale into her mind."
"Liar."
"Why would I lie?"
"Ah can see it on your eyes."
"Oh? My eyes are not a book workhorse."
"They might not be a book, But they Ah can still read them."
"Can you let me go workhorse?"
"Nnope."
Rainbow removed her ear from the Barn door. She sighed and walked into the barn.
"Rainbow Dash. How lovely to meet your Aquetience." Her uncle spat at her. It might have been a freindly sentence, But the way he spoke to her was anything but freindly.
"Why are you here?" Rainbow asked coldly.
"Why do you think? Im here to take you Home ."
"The place you are speaking of is not my home. My home is here in Ponyville with my freinds."
"Well isn't that just so cute, You cheesy bastard." He spat.
Big mac hardened his grip off the Pegasus.
"Will you cut that out!?"
"Nnope."
"Applejack, Realese him."
"Are ya sure sugarcube?" Applejack asked.
"I'm Sure."
"You heard her Big Macintosh! Realese the sheep!"
As fast as Big Mac realesed the Pegasus, He jumped at Rainbow and pinned her down.
"You are just as stubborn as your Father. You will regret not listening to me in the first place, I will get rid off you. Eventually." He simply said before he took of and flyed away.
"Now what was that all 'bout?" Applejack asked the cyan pegasus.
"You should stay out of this Applejack... This road is in a Avalange zone and the boulders are big."

It was finally done. Her mansion was floating in the air and Pinkie hold a party underneath. It was a- "CongratulationsToRainbowDashForFinishingHerHouse Party!" Pinkie screamed out.
"Uhh... Whatever you say Pinkie Pie." Rainbow said to Pinkie. The ones invited where; Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and ufcourse Rainbow Dash.
The party was great. They ate snacks, Talked, Danced and just spent time together.
When it was time for everyone to leave, Rainbow said goodbye to her freinds, But before they all left, Rarity gave Rainbow Dash a Carpet. It was green with a purple rectangle pattern.
And hour later when everyone had left, She layed in her bed. Thinking of that happend that day.
'It worked out allright... Im actually suprised that the carpet stays on the cloud... I bet she enchanted it or something. But... Why was Appleja-'
Her thought cut of as she heard a knocking at the front door.
"Now who the hay is knocking at someone's door in the middle of the night?" She said under hear breath. She carefully got out of her bed and walked to the front door. When she opened, terror entered her eye sight.
"Hello Rainbow Crash. Or should i call you Rainbow Flash after dissapearing for 6.5 years?" Lightspectrum spat. 'Cleaver...' She thought sarcasticly at his messed up mind.
"What are you doing here?"
"Im here to... Congratulate you. For being A TOTAL. MEANINGLESS. PIECE. OF. SHIT!" He spat as he attacked her and pinned her down.
"W-What do you want?" Rainbow, shocked from his attack asked.
"Nothing special... Just the feeling of your blood pouring out of your wounds when i hit you again." He raised his hoof and aimed for Rainbow Dash's Face but she avoided the hit. She threw him off her and bucked him in his belly, Sending him towards a wall.
"I am tired of you. After all these years, I thought i could get some peace, And forget about you. But you returned for no good reason. I hate you Lightspectrum. You killed my father, You killed my mother, YOU KILLED MY FAMILY! ALL OF THEM! My cousins... My aunt... My Gramps... And the only family i have left... Is you. A murderer, A killer, A psycopat. You have no purpose in life." She spat.
Lightspectrum watched Rainbow Dash in horror.
"W-What are you..."
"Bye... Uncle... I'll see you never again." With those final words, She bucked Lightspectrum in the head. Blood splashed everywhere. Lightspectrum was now gone. Rainbow started to cry.
'What have i done?' Her mind asked her. She quickly began to clean up. Being made of cloud, The house was easy to clean. She wrapped the carpet around Lightspectrum's body. The walls just sucked up the blood on them, The same with the floor. She took the body in the carpet and placed it on her back, She then flew towards the Everfree Forest. When she was in the middle of it, She dumped the body.
'What have i done... I killed him... I dont regret it, But i feel bad about it... Am i the killer?' Her mind was racing with thoughts. Regret, Murder, Hate, Sadness, Joy. Those words spun around her head.
A week went past. She had replaced the wall and the floor in her cloud home to make the blood go away completly. She tried to cover up the murder, but her freinds senced something wrong. Applejack had tried... Rarity... Fluttershy.. Pinkie Pie, No one had been avaible to squeeze even a tiny bit of information out of the mare. Years went past. And she grew up to an Adult. She built a barrier. A Façade.
And it was safe. The bunker never blew up. But at Easter... The same date as her Father and Mother had been lost, She would let it all out. She had met new freinds; Twilight, Scootaloo and more. She had used them as a helping tool. To build up the Façade even more. But there was something inside the bunker. A traitor In the system. It was the accident. 'Was it a misstake?', 'Was it right of me?', 'Am i a horrible pony?' Those questions would be asked from her mind to herself at many times. It all went smooth even though she was a big softie inside the bunker.
Then the bunker blew. The bomb who blew it up, was her Mother.
The pink pony that had left Rainbow's life 12 years ago.
"4 382 days. Then she finally returned. Four. Flippin'. Thousand. Days."
Rainbow ended the story. Twilight looked at Rainbow in horror, Disgust, Understanding, Sadness... Every bad emotion.
"I understand if you dont wanna know me anymore... Now that you know that im a Killer..." Rainbow looked up to face Twilight. The pony hadn't moved an inch. Not even a millimeter.
"I-I should go... Bye Twilight... Forever..." Rainbow said as she turned around and walked towards the Open window.
"No!"
Rainbow's heart skipped a beat. Her calls for help in her mind had been awnsered.
"Stay. Right. Here Rainbow." Twilight said emotion less. Rainbow turned around to look in her eyes. A spark.
"W-What are y-you going to do?" She asked.
"Nothing, Really. I wont tell anyone Rainbow. I wont think of you as a monster. I will keep all my Promises."
"T-Thanks Twilight..." Said the pegasus as she hugged Twilight
"What are F-... What are Sisters for."
Rainbow shed a tear at that sentence. 'My freind's are my family... And they always will be.'
"Soo... Shes in SugarCube Corner?" Rainbow asked as the stood outside the bakery.
"Yes Rainbow. Shes inside there. When you walk in, There is no Return." Twilight stood beside Rainbow Dash.
"Let's go then..." Rainbow Dash said that as she walked into the Bakery. She was immidiently greeted by a Pink Fur ball.
"HI DASHIE!" It screamed.
"Hello... Pinkie Pie..." Rainbow succedely said while being hugged to death by the crazy pony.
Twilight walked into the scene and chuckled.
"Pinkie cou-"
"She went out on a walk and Rainbow will get caught up with her at... The library." Pinkie cut Twilight off as she stopped hugging Rainbow.
"Ho- Wha- Huh?" Was all that came out of Twilight.
"Duh! The Library! Rainbow, If you run you can catch her by Rarity's Dress Shop! Or Boutiqe! Thats such a funny word! I love funny words! like Cherry Changa and Kumquat!"
"I'llgonowbye!" Rainbow said as she quickly speed away from the pink furl of party, And zoomed towards the pink furl of memories.
Firefly walked outside the Library. She paced herself and walked slowly, Watching the ponies around her. She suddenly became a Crash-Test dummy. She was underneath somepony. The fur was blue, It was a Pegasus and the Mane's color where...
Rainbow.
"Rainbow Dash!?" Firefly yelped out in suprise
Rainbow sighed.
"Yes... It is me..." She got up from Firefly and helped the old mare up back onto her hooves.
Firefly was shocked. She searched for an awnser in her daughters eyes with no avail. She finally figured out something. Rainbow was here to Talk .
"How about we go somewhere more Private?" Firefly said.
Rainbow nodded softly. They walked for ten minutes untill they reached the Hill where they had first had seen eachother for 12 years. They took a sat down and looked at the stars. They twinkled and shone.
Firefly looked Right, Towards her Daughter that had been gone for all those years. She had grown up. She had gotten her Cutie Mark. And she had missed it all. She now saw an opertunity to start a conversation.
"How did you get your Cutie Mark?"
Rainbow turned her head left and faced her mother.
"Oh... I was flying really fast and kinda made a Sonic Rainboom..." She looked back at the stars.
"A Sonic Rainboom? Thats... Amazing..." Firefly looked at her daughter in awe.
"Did you really do that?"
"Would i ever lie? I could do it again y'know." Rainbow smiled a bit, Still staring at the stars.
"Could you do one right now?" Firefly quickly asked.
"Well... Fine... I'll do the 6th ever Sonic Rainboom..." Rainbow took off.
'Maybe she's just cocky... Or maybe she is telling the truth... Here goes nothing.' Firefly thought for herself as she watched the rainbow streak zoom accross the sky
After a minute or two, A cone started to form around the pony who zoomed in the sky.
"What is this..." Firefly mumbled for herself. She sat up from the lying postision she had been in and locked her eyes at the pegasus in the skies. Suddenly, A large boom filled the air along with a circle of Color. It spread accross the Landscape but quickly faded away.
The cyan pegasus landed beside her mother who still stared at the skies above her, Waiting for something else to happen. She didn't notice then Rainbow Dash landed beside her again.
"Thats it. Thats how a Sonic Rainboom looks like." Rainbow said to Firefly.
"That was amazing." Was all that she could say. She looked to her right to see Rainbow sitting there again.
"Rainbow... Im sorry for leaving you..."
"Y-You have no idea of what Lightspectrum did to me... What i did to him..." Rainbow said. Her eyes started to tear up.
Firefly hugged her daughter who was sobbing quietly. Her eyes let a few tears too as Rainbow cried into her shoulder. When Rainbow had calmed down, She whispered something that Firefly had a Hard time hearing.
"What was that? I didn't really catch that."
"I forgive you..."
"I allready know that Dashie... I allready know..."
Rainbow soared through the skies above Ponyville. She zig-zagged between the clouds and glided in the wind, leaving the trademark rainbow streak behind her. Everything was perfect. She and her mother were extreamly close, Twilight had not had any mental breakdown for a few weeks and the CMC had not burned down anything. yet. Everything was truly perfect. A year had passed from Rainbow's awkward meeting with FireFly, Rainbow had forgiven her long lost mother and they had started over. But Rainbow had still not told her mother about what happened after she dissapeard. FireFly had gotten a job as a FireMare. Putting out fires and rescuing Opalescence out of trees.
As Rainbow landed at her house's doorstep, a bad feeling grew in her belly.
Probaly nothing.. im just hungry or something. Rainbow thought for herself. In the corner of her eye, she saw Derpy. The mail mare.
“Hey Rainbow Dash!" She called before she crashed into the cloud house. Rainbow rolled her eyes and sighed.
"Wat'cha want?" She asked, frustrated.
"Mail from... The Hospital!" Derpy picked up the white letter that had a red cross seal with a victorious smile before placing it in Rainbow's wing between her feathers.
"Bye Rainbow Dash!!" Derpy said as she flew away, leaving the cyan mare behind her in confusion.
'Ok... i really dont like this...' She thought as she took the letter out from between her feathers.
With a big sigh, she opened the letter only to almost faint of what it said.
Dear Rainbow Dash,
We regret to inform you that your mother, FireFly have had an accident at a rescue mission.
She requests your presence by her side.

She threw the letter on the floor and rushed to the hospital in a matter lf seconds, but to her, it felt like days. The houses underneath her zoomed by at her ridicouless speed and the clouds she crashed into just let out a 'poof' and they were gone. 'Out of all ponies... Why does things like this happen!? They are killing my life!' Rainbow landed outside the hospital. Same white walls... Same gingerbre- wait WHAT? Rainbow stood in shock as Pinkie where painting the roof of the hospital.
"Life has a way of killing things just as much as things kills happy moments in life.."
"Wai- Wha- HUH?" Rainbow squeezed out of her mouth.
"Pinkie, Do you know how to read ponies minds?" Rainbow asked. Pinkie had a paintbrush in her mouth and quickly spit it out to answer Rainbow's question.
"No, silly! I can't read minds!" Pinkie said in her normal and happy voice.
"But how did you..." Rainbow was shaking, How did she...?
"I read the story! You should read it too, its really exciting! But sadly, kinda rushed. Bye Dashie!" Pinkie said as she bounced away.
'Dont question her Rainbow! Dont. Question. Her.' Rainbow thought as she walked into the hospital.
She was met by the stellerized smell that all hospitals had. White walls created a rectangular room and small green plants stood in the corners.In the middle, there was a big white reception. She walked up to the nurse behind the reception.
"Where is my mother?" Rainbow asked sternly. She looked with anger into the nurses eyes.
"You're here for FireFly? She's in room 23 in the ER." The nurse responded as she turned her view back down into her paperwork.
'Room 23... 23... Another proof for Twilight to finally proove that some movies are right...' Rainbow thought for herself as she ran down the corridor of the ER. She stopped infront of the door and opened it, only to discover that it was locked.

God curse that pony... A wooden bowl that stands on a wooden floor in a wooden house as a candle? How do you even come up with that!? And now i will be in hospital for... years. Thanks Derpy! FireFly thought as she heard someone knock the door.
"Hold on! I'll open!" She called to the door. She reached down under the table that was beside her bed and pressed a green button, unlocking the door.
The door slammed open as a cyan and rainbow blur zoomed into the room. It crashed into a wall, inches away from a window, and then fell down on the floor. FireFly knew who it was judging by the colours, but she asked anyways.
"Is that you Rainbow?"
"Yes, who else would it be?" Rainbow asked as she got up from the floor.
"Judging by the crash, it could've been Derpy." FireFly said, making Rainbow groan in frustration.
When Rainbow got up from the floor and saw her mother, she gasped in shock.
Bandages.
They where everywhere on her body. They technically covered her. Everything except her head had bandages.
"W-What happend!?" Rainbow asked, desperate for answers.
"Rescue mission. A filly got stuck in a house that was on fire, and the Fire Suit would gotten in the way so i got it off and went in without it. The filly got a broken leg but nothing got burnt. I were a little more out of luck as my skin got burnt off." FireFly coughed vioenlty. Did i spell it right?
The door opened behind Rainbow, making her jump. As she turned around she saw a unicorn stallion with gray fur walk in. He had a white mane and tail and a X-Ray picture of a pony as cutie mark.
"Hello laides, Im sorry to interupt but i would like to speak with..." He looked at the paper that was floating in her blue aura before looking up again. "Rainbow Dash. I would like to talk with you privatly." And with that, he walked out of the room.
"I'll... I will be back ok?" Rainbow said as she walked out of the room. She approached the doctor that was waiting for her at the end of the corridor. The doctor had a serious ponker face as She approached him. No emotion, reaction or anything. As she finally reached him, he turned around and motioned with his hoof for her to follow him. Rainbow walked after the doctor and after a minute or so, they where at a bench. The doctor stopped walking and turned around to face Rainbow.
"Now.. What did'ya want?" Rainbow asked the doctor as she sat down.
"It's about your mother. She is getting worse as every minute goes by."
Everything stopped. Rainbow knew what he would say. She would say how many hours left she had to live.
The doctory continued talking and pointing out injuries on a X-Ray picture, but she didn't listen. She was lost in thoughts.
'And the number of hours left is...'
"...She has a maximum of 23 hours left."
Everything falled apart.
'Not that number again! God curse movies... now they effect my life too!'
A tear fell down from Rainbow's cheek. She stood up and walked slowly in the direction of her mothers room.
"T-Thanks doc... you've ruined my life... Again." Ahe said as she walked back to her mothers room. As she entered she was met by a rispy voice.
"Oh! Y-You're back!"
It was her mother. Her mothers sweet voice were gone. It was replaced by a dry, emotionless voice who felt like knifes in Rainbow's ears.
"Mom... I-I have... News..." Rainbow looked at her mothers face. Her eyes were so full of life, this can't be the end. Rainbow took a step backwards, almost walking into the machine behind her. She took a deep sigh before opening her mouth. But her mother spoke first.
"Rainbow, I know."
Those words hit Rainbow like a wall. She already knew that her time left in this world were running out. Rainbow closed her mouth again. She walked a step forward, Moving away from the machine behind her.
"H-How did y-you know?" She simply asked. FireFly looked into her daughters eyes. They screamed fear. She sighed deeply and looked up in the roof before smiling.
"The doctor is really bad at picking 'Private' places to talk to. The room you where talking in is just on the other side of the wall. I heard every word." Her mother smirked. She looked down at her bandages who covered her body.
"And i can figure out that i will... be gone by looking at my injuries. They are quite... Severe."
Rainbow gave away a small smile at her mothers quick thinking, but it turned into a frown again. Pinkie would kill her if she saw it, or rather kill her with balloons.
"Rainbow... I know what you are thinking about." FireFly looked at Rainbow with a serious look on her face.
"D-Don't tell me you also can read minds."
"I can't. But I can do another thing, And that is reading peoples eyes. How about i change the number 23 to 25?" FireFly searched for an answer on Rainbows face, but for no use.
"Y-Yes please... I need to stop watching those kinda movies."
Firefly smiled. It was her normal, happy smile that the healthy FireFly always wore. Not the sick-FireFly had. She looked up in the roof and sighed before she opened her mouth again.
"But only if you tell me about your childhood."
Time stopped. Rainbow looked at her mother in an expression that said 'Are you crazy?', but after a min of staring, Rainbow gave up.
"Do you Pinkie Promise to not hate my guts?"
Firefly smiled her warm smile again.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye."
Rainbow sighed and started telling her mother the long story that was her childhood.
Two days had gone by since FireFly passed. Rainbow had not been taking it lightly. Her freinds had helped though, but her mothers death had really gotten to her. She didn't fly. She walked. This was very strange for Rainbow's freinds, as they were used to the multi-colored pegasus always hoovering above their heads. Rainbow only flew up and down to her house, And stayed in the house 50% of the day. Twilight regulary visited her now that she was an Alicorn, but she still couldn't fly. She simple teleported up. Rainbow always liked her visits but at some times, she just wanted to be alone. A week after FireFly's death, there was a funeral. It was a traditional Pegasus Funeral, where you put the ashes after the pegasus into a cloud and sent it away. After the funeral, Rainbow had stayed on the hill. Hill 364. The place where they had met a year ago. She watched the cloud hoover away on the horizon. When it was compleatly out of sight, she stayed. After an hour, Lunas moon shone bright, and the stars twinkled. She heard someone walk up to her side and put a hoof on her shoulder, when she looked at he shoulder, she saw a lavender hoof.
"Hey Twi..." Rainbow looked at Twilights face. It was filled with understanding of some sort.
"Hey Rainbow..." Twilight answered Rainbow.
"What a day huh?"
"Uhh... yeah..."
They stopped talking or saying anything. They just looked into eachothers eyes. Suddenly, Rainbow layed down in the grass and looked up at the stars. Twilight followed suit. They just looked at the stars above them. after a min or two, Twilight finally decided to break the scilence.
"Its really peaceful out here at night."
"Yeah..."
Rainbow looked at a cloud that were above them. It was shaped as a... Well, As a cloud. It floated slowly accross the sky. So peacefully and quiet. Its fluffy edges cut through the wind as it floated towards its destination. Twilight broke the scilence again.
"I used to watch the stars every night. I studied them when i was a filly, but when i was done with my studies about stars, I still came out every night and watched them. When Luna returned, I became so distracted as Celestia made my studies harder... I guess I forgot about them..."
Rainbow looked over to Twilight. The Lavender mare where so caught in the stars that she didn't notice Ranbow looking at her. After a min or two, she returned her eyes to the stars.
"I always practiced under them... I saw them every night as a filly... I guess it took me some years to finally figure out their beuty."
Twilight knew that this was the best moment to talk about Rainbows mother. Rainbow wouldn't give Twilight another chance. She searched for the best way to start the conversation. When she finally figured out how to start it, Rainbow started it herself.
"I-I really miss her... I Always missed her. I guess it just took a long time for me to figure it out..."
Twilight was in shock. 'Did she just admit that to me?' Twillight thought. She carried the convesation on.
"I miss her too Rainbow. She was a good Mare, A good freind, And she was a good mother."
A tear came out of Rainbow's eyes. It ran slowly down her cheek and hit the ground with a small, quiet 'Splash'.
"Why? Out of everypony, no. Out of everyBODY, Why her?" Twilight saw the pain in Rainbow's eyes. Guilt, Sadness and pain.
"You can't question fate Rainbow. I wish I could do that sometimes, but I can't."
"I-It shouldn't have been her!" Rainbow lost it. She sobbed vioently into Twilights shoulder. Twilight placed her wings around Rainbow and embraced her. After a min, Twilight were also crying. The two freinds sat there, and cried into eachothers shoulders, Late at night. An hour later, They were asleep on top of the hill, curled up against eachother. Everything was going to be fine.
Chapter 8: A sour morning
(Rainbow Dash P.O.V)
I wake up... Pillow soaked in tears. The blanket is unbelivebly dry. I close my eyes again, trying to fall asleep again. It doesn't work. I give up and open my eyes again. It's 9:45 in the morning. 9:45... The same time that i wake up everyday. Usually from my alarm. 'Heh... it must have gotten into my head...' I think, trying to joke with myself. I get out of the bed, or... sofa, and walks to the window. "Argh.. i have weather duty today..." i say to myself. It echos against the walls and bounces back at me, making me hear every detail of my quite raspy voice. 'I sound just like my mother in the morning...' I think to myself.
Suddenly, i hear a voice from behind me.
"Nope"
I jump at the sudden sound in the quiet room. The sound echo through the air and rings in my ears. I fall over, landing on the side.
"Ompf!"
I land on my wing, who immediently causes pain from the sudden preassure.
"Ouch!" I get my wing out of the way and the pain stops. I look behind me to see what caused the sound, only to see Twilight stand there, grinning.
"Geez Twilight, Did you have to sneak up on me?" I ask.
Twilight just walks over to me and helps me get my hooves on the ground again.
"Sorry if i scared you, I just wanted to mention that you have the day off." She says. Once im up and standing again i look at her.
"Yeah right, To get free time from my boss is like winning lotto 6 times in a row." I say to her, making her frown.
"Yes, for you maybe but if you talk to him as Celestia's student it kinda changes." She awnsers, looking into my eyes.
"Wait, you... Did what?" I ask.
"You heard me Rainbow, i used my status as Celestia's student to get you some free time. But dont worry, i asked Celestia first and she allowed me to. And im not gonna do it again anytime soon so dont even think about it Rainbow." She said, Destroying my plan of weeks without weather duty.
"Why did you do that anyways?" I asked.
"So you can finish your story and rest up for a bit. You got tomorrow free too." She said. She hoovered in a plate of sandwiches into the room and placed it between the duo.
"Allright... im gonna tell you the rest..." i say, giving up.
