with Different

It was a dark day like any other. Our Queen had ordered me to her royal chamber. I wondered what it could have been about. She has never done this before unless I did something wrong. I gulped and headed down the maze-like halls. I stood in front of the giant blood-red double doors.

I opened the doors and stepped inside. "Yes, your highness?" I asked in a shaky voice. "Come in Different," she said coldly. I stepped in and sat in front of her throne. "Do you know why I called you in here?" She asked. "No," I said looking at the ground. The Queen slammed her hoof on the arm of the chair and I winced. "You were seen consulting with the Enemy!" She yelled at me. I looked up and said, "that never happened. It is a lie." "A LIE!?" She yelled, "MY MOST TRUSTED CHANGELING REPORTED THIS TO ME AND YOU'RE TELLING ME HE LIED TO ME!?" I felt the anger welling up in me and I yelled, "YES I AM! I WOULD NEVER TALK TO ANY OF THOSE MULTI-COLORED FREAKS!" "YOU ARE A MULTI-COLORED FREAK! YOUR MANE IS BLACK AND BLUE! YOUR EYES ARE A BRIGHT BLUE! YOUR MAGIC IS BLUE! YOU ARE A FREAK HERE!" The Queen yelled. I calmed down and said, "Fine Chrysalis. I'll leave the hive then!" "Then get out of my sight!" Chrysalis said.

I left the hive without looking back or talking to anyone. I loved the fresh air. I guess I was Different. I flew over the Everfree as a cream pegasus with poofy yellow hair. I landed at the entrance of the Everfree and transformed into a white unicorn filly with black and blue hair, and no cutie mark. I have no talent. I walked around after Luna rose the moon and I ran into somepony. "I'm so sorry!" I panicked, "It was all my fault." "That's okay!" Said the shadowy figure, "I love seeing new faces!" I looked up and saw a face of a pink pony that seemed very familiar. I pushed away the thought. "Thank you for forgiving me," I said, "I must be going." I left the pink pony standing there confused.

I walked and walked until I found a tree house. I walked up there and knocked on the door. The door swung open and I was pulled inside. I was sitting in a dark room until a bright light was turned on. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" Said a voice. obviously female. "I'm Different," I said, "I don't have a place to stay for the night so I came here. I'm an orphan." "So am I!" Said another female voice. "I didn't know that, Scootaloo." Said yet another voice. "You seem nice. You can stay here." Said a softer voice. The lights turned on and standing in front of me were three fillies. An orange pegasus, A white unicorn, and a yellow earth pony with a bow. They all wore maroon capes with gold on the inside. "Who are you?" I asked. "We are the Cutie Mark Crusaders!" Said the yellow earth pony. I was amazed at these little fillies with so much energy in there eyes! They looked like they can take on the world! "Cutie Mark Crusaders?" I repeated. "Yeah! We go on exciting adventures to try to earn our cutie marks! It's so much fun!" Said the white unicorn. The orange pegasus stared at my flank which made me blush and try to cover it up. I could make one appear any time I wanted to, but I preferred to be a blank flank. The orange pegasus gasped and said, "You want to join us!?" "Um... I don't think that's a good idea..." I said. "Please?" said the yellow filly, putting on the most adorable puppy dog face I've ever seen. I chuckled and said, "fine" even though I can't even really get a cutie mark since I was a changeling. I hate myself. I didn't want to, but these fillies were all so cute that I couldn't say no. "Yay!" They said and they threw a cape on my back. "I'm Applebloom!" said the yellow earth pony, "These are my friends Sweetie Belle," "How are you doing?" said the white unicorn. "And I'm Scootaloo!" said the orange pegasus, "I'm an orphan, just like you!" "I was just recently disowned," I said. "Oh..." Scootaloo said, "By who?" "It'd be better if you don't know," I wasn't lying when I said that.

A week later we came up with an Idea. "CUTIE MARK CRUSADER ADVENTURERS! YAY!" We went to the borders of the Everfree forest. "Isn't it dangerous in there?" I asked. "Yeah," Answered Applebloom, "That's why we ain't goin' in there. We're just gonna go around it on the borders." "Oh!" I said.

We began traveling around the border that I couldn't see the tree house anymore. "Are you sure this is safe?" I asked, "It's starting to get dark out." "I guess you're right..." Applebloom said, "Let's go back." When we turned around to go back, we saw a pony standing there. Black, green mane, horn, parasitic wings, holes in the hooves. Changeling.
