Chapter 1View OnlineThe Twins of InsanityChapter 1In a cabin somewhere in the far outskirts of Death City, Neighvada, a black, unicorn mare with is screaming her head off in pain, and is gripping her sheets causing them to tear. "CRONA!!!! Get in here with those cold towels, NOW," the mare screaming out her demand. Crona, a very thin earth-pony with very pale pink lemonade colored hair, rushed to the mare with a large container of ice cold water that has numerous washcloths in the water and many more dangling from the sides. "Y-yes Lady Medusa," Crona said as she placed the container by the bed and pushes the cloths on the sides into the water. "Well? Don't just stand there," Medusa exclaimed. "Check on the oncoming foals," she ordered Crona. "Yes Lady Medusa," Crona said as it lifted the covers and quickly looked for any signs. "Well," Medusa asked in anger. "I-it's crowning, Lady Medusa," Crona said getting a blanketed basket ready. "Good. Now stay there as I can handle this by myself," Medusa said as she begins to breathe and push and scream very loudly.After a few minutes of pushing a foal begins to cry and using her magic as her horn glows Medusa cuts its cord. "It's a colt Lady Medusa," Crona says as it cleans and puts it in a blanket. "Excellent. Now get ready for the other one," she ordered. "Y-yes ma'am," Crona said as it moved the newborn colt to one side of the basket. Medusa begins to breathe and scream again. "Blast his eyes and his scars. He'll pay for doing this to me," Medusa exclaimed as the second foal is born and she cuts the cord and Crona wraps it in a blanket. "A-another colt Lady Medusa," Crona said quietly. "Excellent," Medusa said getting a snake-like smile. "Bring them to me so I can see who will be my experiment," she ordered. Crona nodded and brought the basket to her mistress. Medusa examines the foals and points to the one on the left of the basket with her hoof. "This one," she said. "Take it to the lab and have it ready to be examined, now," Medusa ordered as she gives the basket to Crona. "W-what of the other one, Lady Medusa," Crona asked. "It is no concern of mine. Do whatever you see fit," She said as the mare gets up from the bed. "Y-yes ma'am," Crona said as it takes the foal Medusa had picked to the laboratory, and then takes the other to it's own room. "I-I don't know how to deal with this right now," Crona said as it looks at the lone colt and notices that it has an arrow pattern going down it's body and legs. "Your'e like her. You're like our mother," Crona said. "Now how can I get rid of you? Lady Medusa will never allow me to care for you," Crona told the colt. Suddenly the colt begins to cry. "Crona! Silence that little lout," Medusa ordered as she examines the colt she chose. "Y-yes Lady Medusa," Crona said as it covers the colt's mouth. The colt slowly quiets down and eventually stops, and holds Crona's hoof. Crona stopped and stared at the colt, not knowing what to do now. "I-I know! I'll take you to the city and leave you at a stairway of a house and they'll adopt you," Crona said as it picks up the basket and heads out of the Medusa's home, leaving a note explaining to her mistress/mother what she is doing to remove the un-selected colt. Crona begins to look around the city for any building with the lights on. “Don’t worry little one. I’ll find someone to take care of you,” Crona said as it sees a building with closed curtains, but the lights were on, making it stick out like a sore thumb among the others. "Perfect. Maybe they'll take you," Crona said as it puts the basket at the door, and leaves a card to inform the pony that the colt's name is Talex, and it's in need of a loving home. "Bye bye little guy," Crona said as it ran back to Medusa's laboratory. "So," Medusa asked. "Did you get rid of the other one," Medusa asked again. "Y-yes Lady Medusa," Crona said. "Good. Now go to bed. I must work on the colt in silence, understood," Medusa asked. "Yes ma'am," Crona said as it trotted to it's room. Back in Death City the mare of the house Crona knocks at gets up and answers the door. "H-hello, who's there," the mare asked as she opens the door and looks around to see who knocked. As she stepped out a little and she feels something rub her hoof. The mare looks looks down to see the sleeping Talex. "Oh my goodness," the mare exclaims but covers her mouth quickly and picks up the basket and reads the note. "You poor dear. Lets get you inside," the mare said as she carries the basket in, and puts it on a coffee table. "Now where can you sleep," the mare asked herself as she watches the little colt. "Okay, Marie. You can handle this," she says to herself as she carries the foal to her room. "Let's try a clothes basket," Marie says as she gets an empty clothes basket and puts a couple of pillows in it, and gently lays the sleeping Talex in the basket and covers him in a new blanket. "There we go," Marie says as she kisses the foal on the head. "Goodnight Talex. Sweet dreams," Marie says as she gets in bed and turns off the lights. Chapter 2View OnlineThe Twins of InsanityChapter 2The following day Marie wakes up at 3 am to a crying Talex. She groggily gets up and trots to the crying colt. "Shhhhh. Don't cry little one," Marie said as she sniffs the surrounding area. "You're not in need of a changing. Are you hungry," she asked the foal, and began to head to the kitchen to bash up carrots and peas to be sure. Marie uses her magic as her horn glows to get a spoonful of the mashed concoction. "Come on now, open wide," the mare says as the little foal opens his mouth, and Marie feeds the little foal. "There we go. Good. Is it yummy, " the mare said as she feed Talex. Talex looks at the mare and smiles accepting her as a friendly pony and holds her hoof when Marie feeds him the last bite. "Awwww," Marie said as he looked at the foal with a warm smile. She picks the foal up and pats its back to burp him. "Okay, now go to sleep Talex," the mare said as she waited for the foal to doze off, but the foal persisted on staying up and just looked at Marie and his own surroundings. Marie sighs and thinks of a way to get the colt to sleep. "Ah-Ha," Marie said as she lays next to the colt who was put into his "bed". "I'll sing you a lullaby," the mare told the little foal. Marie clears her throat. "Hush now quiet now it's time to lay your sleepy head, hush now quiet now it's time to go to bed. Drifting off to sleep let's put this day behind you, drifting off to sleep, let the new day find you. Hush now quiet now lay your sleepy head, hush now quiet now it's time to go to bed," Marie sang in an angelic tone. Talex falls asleep as soon as she finished singing. A knock came at the door as soon as Talex falls asleep. Marie looks at the foal worryingly to see if it would wake him. She sighs of relief and goes to check the door. "Hello," Marie asked quietly. "Hello, Marie," the pony said. The pony is a stallion with multiple stitches covering his body, with a silver mane, a tan body, and glasses along with a large screw going through his head. "Hello, Stein," the mare said as she opens the door more to let the stallion in. "How're you, and what are you doing up so early," Marie asked the stallion as he stepped in. "Oh, I'm fine. Also I just couldn't sleep so I decided to walk around town. When I saw your lights were on, I thought I'd stop by and see how you were doing," Stein said as he turned his screw, it making a clicking sound; like a wind-up toy. "Awww. How thoughtful," Marie said with a feint blush. Marie was a yellow unicorn mare with strawberry blonde hair, and has en eye-patch over her left eye. At that time Talex begins to cry from loneliness. "Oh dear," Marie says as she rushes up to her room and Stein follows her. "I didn't know you were a mother now, Marie," Stein said as he stands at the door way to Marie's bedroom. "Oh. I'm a foster mother technically," Marie said with a small smile. "I see," Stein said raising an eyebrow. "How did this child come into your grasp," Stein asked looking over Marie's shoulder. "Well. While I was having some tea before bed, I heard a knocking at my door. So like any other pony I went to investigate. When I opened the door I was surprised to find no one there. So I stepped out a little bit and to my surprise, I found this little guy. His name is Talmos," Marie explained with a smile. "Okay then," Stein said smiling turning the screw in his head. "Something to this colt seems familiar to me i just can't just can't put my hoof on it," Stein said tapping his chin. "Oh," Marie asked. "That is odd," she said. "Oh well," Stein said shrugging it off his mind. "I'd better get going. I'll see you later, Marie," he said trotting out of her home. "Okay. I'll see you later, Stein," Marie said as she goes back to caring for Talex. The following day Marie checks on the little colt to see if he's awake, when the mare sees the sleeping colt she begins her daily routine of a shower, makeup and other such things. She brings down the basket with the sleeping Talex in, and begins to make breakfast as he sleeps in the living room. As soon as she's done cooking a little cry arises from the foal. "Aww. Don't cry sweetie," Marie said as she trotted to the basket, sniffing the air, making a disgusted face as an aroma of dirty diaper welcomed her nose. "Hold on sweetie," she said as she gets an idea. Her horn glows as she lifts a box of tissues up with her magic and uses a transformation spell to make it into a nice, clean diaper. Marie changes Talex's diaper and the mood of the colt changes almost immediately as he giggles and smiles. "There we go. All nice and clean," the mare smiled as she kisses the foal's cheek. "Alright. You and I are going shopping for you today. We need to get a lot of things for you. Like clothes, formula, diapers, food, and toys. So lets get going," Marie said as she puts the foal in the basket he was found in, and carries him to the closest foal supply store and gets everything she needs (including a crib), and heads back home to put all the stuff away.
Chapter 3View OnlineThe Twins of InsanityChapter 3While Marie was working with Talex, Medusa had spent all night examining the DNA of the foal she chose at birth. “Interesting. You seem to be like your father. That means more testing for you,” she said to the colt as it lays on the table asleep. “Crona! Get a nameplate ready for this little one's room," "Y-yes Lady Medusa," Crona said as it rushes off to get the name plate. As Crona comes back with a nameplate and an engraver. "Ha-have you chosen a name for him Lady Medusa," Crona asked getting ready. "Yes. His name will be, Servious," she declared as Crona began to engrave it into the nameplate almost immediately. Medusa then takes the foal into a dark room and puts him into a crib. "Crona. You will keep watch over the foal. I have already created enhanced milk to enhance his skills," she says as she puts a blanket on Servious. "Yes, Lady Medusa," Crona said as it puts the name plate on the door. "I'll begin the experiment with his DNA tomorrow. Understood, and also put him to sleep," Medusa asked Crona. Leaving the room to go to bed. "Y-Yes, Lady Medusa," Crona said obediently. Looking at the foal with caring, but frightened eyes. Crona then trotted to the crib and tucked the foal in. "Maybe in the future he'll have to face us and we can devour his soul," A voice called out in the darkness. "N-no Ragnarok. I don't think I could deal with hurting the foal," Crona said as it left the room. "So," Ragnarock asked bursting out of Crona's back in a mass of black liquid, taking shape of and solidifying as a large, muscular black stallion, with a white X on his face with an eye on each side that have little black Xs, a medium black spike on each shoulder, two spiked metal bands on each wrist, three large grey spikes on his neck (one on each side and one on the back), a large metal band around the right front leg, white hooves, starting at the bands on the wrists, with four black lines going down them. "We'll have to fight him sometime," he said knowing he was right, pushing on Crona's nose. "Now let's get to bed. I'm exhaused," the large stallion said as he absorbed back into Crona's back. "You're right, sadly," Crona said as it closes the door behind it, heading towards it's own room. The following day Medusa takes a sleeping Servious and puts him under a sleeping spell as she begins a very long experiment to change the DNA structure of the foal. "Excellent. You could be my first success, if you actually turn out to my estimated claims. It would be a long time to handle a stain your size," Medusa said as she cleans up the incision scars. "You'll wear these to resemble your father more. Can't leave any evidence leading back to me," she said as she breaks the spell and put's the foal back into his crib. Back at Marie’s house there’s a small welcoming party for Talex. “Oh he’s is so cute,” a mare told Marie. “Thank you. He’ll be a great stallion when he grows up. I just know it,” Marie said as she moved to a mirror. “What do you think sir,” she was speaking to a tall jagged like creature with a skull face looked down to the child and it’s body made a boing sound. “Of course Marie! Bring him by the DWMA when he’s shown whether he is a weapon or a meister and we’ll get him enrolled,” The figure said. “Thank you sir,” Marie said as she nuzzles Talex.As the party dies down Marie sees that she has to go to the market to get groceries. “Stein. Could you watch Talex while I go out,” she asked getting her purse. “Sure. If you don’t mind I’d like to get a blood sample from him. In case he gets sick,” Stein explained. “Of course. I’ll be back soon,” Heads out and straight to the market. “Alright little one. Lets learn about you,” Stein said as he took a small blood sample from Talex’s hoof, quickly drying the spot as he looked at the blood and takes Talex out of his blanket, to examine him. “Arrows? How did you get these? Only pony I know with arrows is… oh you got to be kidding me,” he said as he wraps Talex back up and holds him. “You’re my son. I should explain this to Marie whenever she comes back,” Stein says to the colt, who looks up at the stitched up stallion and smiles giggling. “You have her eyes. Let’s hope hope you don’t turn out like her,” he said cradling the colt gently. The door opens as Marie enters with a few bags of groceries. “I’m home,” she said as she looks at Stein as she closes the door. “Awwww. How adorable. It’s like you’re his daddy,” Marie said jokingly as she goes to put the groceries away. “Uh, well. Marie, can I have a word with you,” Stein asked petting Talex on the head and the little foal giggles. “Okay,” Marie said as she sits next to Stein and holds Talex. “You see. I have reason to believe that Talex might be my son,” “What,” she asked. “Do you have any proof,” Marie asked again. “His hair color is the same as mine, I have to do a DNA test, and give you the result soon,” “Ok,” she said as she smiles and nuzzles a giggling Talex. “Well I’d best get going. Have some testing to do,” Stein said. “Alright. Be careful on your way, ok,” Marie said as she cradles Talex calmly. “I will. Don’t worry,” he said as he headed out the home towards his own.
