In an alternate world Celestia sends the Elements of Harmony, six political figureheads who have recently come into their positions of power, to investigate the goings-on around Equestria's coastline, under the watchful and rather boring eye of Prince Blueblood. Pirate ships have been raiding along the coast, including two especially effective ones targeting vessels belonging to Canterlot's elite. The six heiresses must stop this madness before the growing strife between the social classes reaches a breaking point.

Unbeknownst to them there dwells behind a curtain of lies a shadowy figure, one who would set in motion series of events that could bring Canterlot, and indeed all of Equestria, to its knees. All the while, other secretive figures manufacture their own plans, and carry out their own designs.

What truths shall see the light of day, and what will be swallowed by shadow?
