It had only been a week after Spike had told Twilight about what was happening to her, and things weren't going so well. Living with the knowledge that you had something nopony else would ever dream of getting was really harsh on Twilight, making most of her moods dark and sad when she was alone. On top of that she couldn't tell her friends about what she had. Doctor's orders.

"Don't tell anyone about what you have Twilight," he had told her. "They may become scared avoid you if you tell them." Then he told Twilight the most likely things that caused her to become Nightmare. "You probably become Nightmare when exposed to the moon for a brief period of time, extreme stress, and temper are the most likely causes. Stay mellow and away from the moon until further notice okay?" he asked her.

"OK Doctor. I know you know best." Twilight had told him. Twilight shook the thought from her head and kept preparing the library for her sleepover. She had promised her friends that they would have one, but what if they found out? Again Twilight tried to shake the thought from her head. Where they were coming from, she wanted them gone."Why don't they go away?" Twilight thought to herself as she made her bed and got some snacks out. All she wanted was to be with her friends and have a good time, but she just HAD to get sick didn't she?

"Whew," Twilight said aloud. Since Spike had to be in Canterlot she was doing a lot more chores around the library, and she was really tired. With everything set up, Twilight decided to continue working on a special drawing. She used her magic to open a small, hidden door and walked down. Inside the small room were many pictures of the other side of Twilight. She had asked Spike exactly what Nightmare had looked like and drew like there was no tomorrow, because Twilight had to know what she looked like as her other self. She just had no know.

Twilight sat down at a wooden desk and continued her most detailed drawing yet. The mare's mane looked like it was made of a dark, black, wispy fog. Her dark purple fur was darker in the area's covered by the mare's foggy mane and tail. Twilight was close to being done, carefully using her magic to draw the large, bright purple cat-li-.

"TWILIGHT!" Yelled some voices that surprised Twilight so much she broke her last quill.

"Drat!" Twilight mumbled to herself. Slowly she got to her feet and trotted up the stairs and closed the door. Well almost. She accidentally left a little bit open."Hey girls!" Twilight said as she let them inside.

"Oh hi Twilight," Fluttershy said."I hope were not bothering you in the middle of something but its time for our sleepover."

"Don't worry girls cause I have finished the arrangements!" Twilight said as she led them through the house to where everything was set up.

"Wow!" All the girls said when they saw the large spread of food and games.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get this party started!" Rainbow Dash yelled. All the girls cheered and began playing games and eating the delicious food Twilight had set out.

After about 4 hours of eating and playing, all the girls were very tired. "Ohhhhh........" Rainbow Dash moaned."I ate too much food...." And then she promptly passed out on a nearby blanket. The rest of the girls giggled and yawed.

"I think we should all follow Rainbow Dash's example and go to sleep" Twilight said to her friends. Soon they were all in a comfortable position to sleep in and they all fell asleep. Then Rainbow Dash woke up.

Now being an awesome mare like herself, she was always the fist pony to get up, which in this case, set her up to finding out the truth about Twilight."Maybe I should go back to sleep," Rainbow thought when she first saw the rest of her friends fast asleep. But of course she wanted to look around the library and try to find some Daring Do books to read and put her to sleep. As she looked through the shelves, Rainbow noticed the opening in the wall that led down to Twilight's secret art room."I don't remember that being there." Rainbow Dash thought to herself as the quietly walked closer to the strange opening. She then used her hooves to poke the opening in the wall, to see how far the opening went, when it moved.

"It's like a door!" Rainbow realized as she moved the bookshelf/door back and forth slowly. "Wait, why would Twi need a secret door?" The pegasus gasped quietly. "She must be hiding something from us!" Quietly opening the bookshelf, the cyan pegasus tiptoed down the worn wooden stairs and into Twilight's secret room. On the last step, all f the candles burst into flames and lit the room with a light glow so that Rainbow Dash could take in her surroundings.

The first thing she noticed, were all of the pictures, sketches, and notes taped and tacked on the walls. Rainbow ash trotted over to a page hanging on the wall that looked like it had been freshly written on.

Triggers For Transformation Are The Following:

Moonlight

Extreme anger

Stress

Possibility For A Cure To Be Found?

12.55% Likely.

The pegasus frowned and read the lines on the page again. Transformation? Cure? "What is going on with Twilight?!" Rainbow thought to herself as she studied the room some more, finally noticing a wooden desk tucked away into a corner of the room. It had one piece of paper on its' surface. Rainbow Dash carefully walked over to the desk and looked at the page, almost gasping at what she saw.

It was an amazing picture of an alicorn, but it looked suspiciously . . . evil. She noticed the dark purple fur, cat-like eyes, armor, and it's large wings, but one thing stuck out like a thorn. It was the cutie mark. Twilight's cutie mark.

The Evil Aspect Of Myself During The Alicornian Transformation:

Rainbow Dash froze. "What?"

The EVIL Aspect Of MYSELF During The Alicornian TRANSFORMATION:

The pegasus backed away from the picture. "Twilight's not evil!" She thought to herself. But then suspicion crept in as she glanced around the room. "Is she?" Quickly, Rainbow Dash grabbed the picture and the small page of notes off the wall and dashed back up the stairs to close the bookshelf door. She glanced down at the pages she held in her mouth. "I'm showing the girls this in the morning," she thought before tucking away the secrets in her saddle bag and laying back down.

"If that's not Twilight . . . I'm going to beat it up so much that it'll be sorry it ever even met me!" And with that final thought, the rainbow maned pony fell into a comfortable slumber once more.
