The Genisis
Genisis
Load Full Story"Celestia, my queen," Starswirl bowed to the alicorn, standing tall on her throne. Starswirl brought with him a small human child. It was a frail and mal-nourished creature, one that had been raveged as much as the lands had by the human's hunger for war.
"I have brought the child, as you requested. I might ask that none of this be written in the scripture... I don't want to be remembered for what I do here today," Starswirl said, his voice sober.
"There is no shame in saving the unicorns from what will certainly be their doom, Starswirl. But I shall honour your request," Celestia said, her voice echoing throughout the monarch's throne room. Starswirl bowed his head and left the room, bringing the small human child with him. He exited through a door on the left, making sure to close and lock it behind him.
Steam and heat clogged the air as the machines whirred and chugged along. There was a cold, flat steel table with shackles on it near the centre of the room. A faint red light came from below as the grate floor let through steam and heat from yet more machines and generators. The child didn;t protest, as he was under the influence of the unicorns' magic. Starswirl strapped him to the table, tightening the shackles. The child's eyes began to dart back and forth, fear breaking through the unicorn magic. He whimperes as Starswirl tightened a leather strap around his stomach.
"Wh- What are you... What are you going Mister Sarswirl?" the child whimpered. He tried to turn his head, only to find that it too was restrained by a cold steel band that went over his forehead and licked at the centre.
"Something... I will never, ever forget, my child..." Starswirl said, a pand of guilt and sadness touching his wise old voice. The child looked into his eyes as Starswirl stared down at him on the low table. He heard a click as Starswirl pressed a button, and the table elevated toward the cieling. Suddenly, a loud machine came toward him. He screamed and tried to struggle as it pushed a needle thin razor into the soft skin of his abdomen, kicking his leg and pulling on the tight shackles to no avail.
"Save me Mister Starswirl! Please, it hurts!" the child screamed. Starswirl pretended he couldn;t hear the chilling screams as he left the room, his face showing more age than was there only seconds ago.
The razor slid down the child's abdomen, leaving his to watch in horror as a claw grabbed at his innards. Green and brown slimy things were pulled and cut, and things that looked like half-cooked tubes of beef were taken from his body as he screamed and cried. He had given up escaping. He hadn't gone unconcious, as the twisted unicorn magic had kept him awake. He saw his stomach coming out as the claw ripped at that, too. He screamed and cried as he felt the burn deep in his throat as the needle-like razor cut into the space where his collar bones met and sliced his esophagus. He gagged as he felt it snake between his lungs and past his heart as it was pulled out with his stomach. He tried to close his eyes, only to find that they too were held with more restraints. He then heard a deep, blood-curdling crack from inside his head as his scalp began to be cracked away. He fet the skin parting from the bone, and then the bone being chipped away, that horrible crack coming every time the machine broke bits away. Eventually, the top of his skull was dropped onto the table next to him with a sickening thud. He jolted and siezed up as his brain was poked and prodded, pain jolting through every nerve in his body as he=e felt his brain coming lose of the skull cavity. He screamed until he tasted blood, screamed hoarse, deafening screams until all that came out was air, and he kept trying to scream desipte the fact that the machine eventually pulled out his vocal chords as well. His brain was left attatched to his spinal cord as a sharp pain shot through his body. With a loud pop, a razor had shot out from the bottom of the table, slicing his spine halfway through and causing blood to pool under him. He couldn't feel his legs, and almost immediately after the machine had cut his spine he saw a guillotine like device cut through his middle abdomen with a horrid snap as sinews broke and muscle fibre was ripped away. The machine discarded his lower body and lifted the large blade. The boy began to let tears flow freely down his face as he watched himself being dismantled. He then head a sickening pop ans his spine and skull were ripped from his body. His vision lolled around nauseatingly as his eyes popped out from the sockets and rested on his face, and his spine and skull were ripped from him. His eyes broke off from the brain, causing immediate blindness and immense pain. He could still feel everything, as the machine had left everything connected although it was removed from his body. All there was now was pain, blackness and his thoughts. He still tried to scream, but he was stuck stil in a void of pain and blackness. He filt his lungs being carefully removed, and finally his heart being cut at the atreries. Finally, once his body was a hollowed out husk of bone and muscle tissue, his nerve cords were cut, and his skull and spine whisked off to a new body.
The human child suddenly forgot all that he ever was as he opened his ees. He was a pony, like he had always been since his childhood. He was an earth pony. He had no horn like his unicorn counterparts, and nobody knew where he had come from. He was the only one of his kind. He walked toward his princess, bowing to her. When the old unicorn standing at her side saw her, he began to weep.
"Starswirl, you have done well. We'll need to make more of them if we are to survive. As for you, Golden Key, you will return to your farm in the new village on the edges of canterlot. It is called ponyville, and your wife will arrive soon," Said the princess, her voice mesmirizing and commanding at the same time.
That was right, thought the newly manufactured earth pony. I've always had a farm in ponyville, and a wife, he pondered, wondering how he could have forgotten.
"Yes, my princess," he said, almost mindlessly. He left the throne room and simply walked to the outskirts of the royal city, seeing lines of human children walking toward the palace. He thought he knew some of them... But no, he couldn't have, he'd never been to canterlot before now. He walked to his home, and as promised, his wife arived soon. They had children, and after hundreds of years, pegasi came to be through evolution, and the earth ponies forgot their origins, So, the next time you think you'd love to be a pony, be careful what you wish for. Or it might just come true.
