                         Prologue

Prologue
Fluttershy smiled, tears of joy blurring her vision as she looked into the bundle that rested in her hoofs.
“Hello there my sweet, adorable, wonderful little colt.” She cooed softly, “Everypony has been waiting for you for several hours. They’ll be happy to meet you.” She looked towards the doorway patiently as a nurse stepped in with her friends following behind.
“They were asleep.” The nurse giggled as Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes.
“We were not sleeping! We were…trying to get the other little ones to sleep.” She lied before looking aggravated as a baby Pegasus colt began to gnaw on her head.
“Just hope your foal doesn’t do this…” she sighed as Fluttershy smiled, Apple Jack was the first one to walk up close to Fluttershy and the foal. Apple Jack’s eyes became misty as she wiped a tear.
“Alright sugar cube, y’all’ve held my nephew long enough.” She said, taking the bundle from Fluttershy before looking around.
“Where in the name of…where is Big Mac?” she asked annoyed as Fluttershy flushed, looking down before looking back up at Apple Jack.
“He’s in another room…he passed out during the delivery.” Rainbow Dash tried her best to keep herself from laughing. The colt on her back blinked a few times in confusion, flapping his wings.
“Anyway…” Apple Jack said, trying to change the subject, “Name?”
“Well, Big Mac and I decided on this name a while ago. Adam’s Apple…Adam for short.” Apple Jack gave a smile.
“How hard was it deciding his name? I mean I have to be prepared in a few weeks.” She said, looking at her stomach.
“Don’t worry too much, Apple Jack. The right name will come to you and Ame.” She looked behind at her other friends.
“How is everypony else? Rarity, you’re due soon too, right?”
“Several weeks after Apple Jack, darling.”
“I know it isn’t my place, but how have you been since the…divorce?” Rarity smiled.
“It’s been grand! I can’t believe I thought that…stallion had changed. What was going through my head?” she rolled her eyes, shaking her head. Fluttershy looked over towards Twilight.
“How is Leo? What about Au Clair de la Lune?” Twilight opened her mouth to answer before she used her magic to stop a black demon-winged alicorn colt from going towards some wires.
“Leo is a handful.” She sighed, “Ever since he’s learned to walk. I’m just lucky he can’t use magic or fly yet. As for my niece, she’s fine.”
“And you Pinkie? Silly String? How’s Fairy Cake?” but her question was answered at the squeals of delight as a powder blue stallion was bouncing a baby filly on his back.
“Rainbow Dash? Gaius?” Rainbow Dash still had an annoyed look on her face as her colt was pulling her ear with his teeth.
“He’s in this…biting stage. Twilight, did Leo go through this stage?”
“Your colt is unique.” As Rainbow gave a look of annoyed defeat. Fluttershy began to bite her lower lip and twiddle her hoofs looking at Apple Jack, her hoofs, and back to Apple Jack.
“Uhm…Apple Jack…if you don’t mind, may I please have my son back?”
“Having separation anxiety are we?” Apple Jack teased, giving the colt back to his mother.
Twilight gave a smile before looking left and right for Leo, spying him gazing out the window in a trance. Her eyes widened as she used her magic to move him from the window and onto her back. At least he would be safe if he were close to her.
