Expect the Unexpected now
It was your average day in ponyville Colgate was checking ponies teeth for cavities, Fluttershy was feeding animals, Rainbow Dash was practicing to become a Wonderbolt, Applejack and Carrot Top had gotten into a discussion about which was better fruits or vegetables, Pinkie Pie was... being Pinkie Pie, Rarity was making clothing, and Twilight was reading in the library.
"Oh its no use! I have red every book in this library maybe I should go visit Shining Armor and Cadence. Yeah I'll go visit my brother and old foal sitter at the Crystal Empire!" she immediately got up and started packing for a weekend trip. "Spike? Where did I leave my toothbrush?"
"I think you left it over by the nightstand ill go ge-" before he could finish his sentence he tripped over a loose floorboard. When he fell the floorboard came out of the floor revealing a red and gold book twilight had never read or seen before.
"Oh my gosh! Spike are you ok?" her eyes drifted towards the book. "Spike what is that did you hide a book from me under the floorboards?"
"No! I tripped over the floorboard and there was a book under it I guess." Twilights horn lit up and she levitated the book out of its hiding place.
"The Clow? I've never heard if this book before. Huh sorry cadence sorry BBBFF I guess ill postpone the trip." The books cover was that of a scarlet almost blood red with the emblem in the center being a golden lions head. Then she opened the book and saw the first page her eyes started to sparkle just like her name. "The Clow is a type of magic created by Clow Reed. The Clows magic comes form not spells but cards, these cards are not to be messed with for they can throw the very nature of the world out of order." twilight knew she should stop and heed the warning but she kept on reading. At the end of the book was a poem of sorts which she read aloud. "The secrets of the clow were all a mystery but when this mighty book was opened their powers were set free. The cards all possess a power of their own, you need to find them to bring their power home." Then the book started to glow and two creatures were spit out of it.
When their faces saw each other the creatures and the pony screamed. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The tall cloaked creature spoke to the winged lion "Kero I thought you said we got all the cards!"
"We did!" the lion responded
"We obviously did not! Sword Card!" A black sword materialized in his hand. "Don't worry card your fear will soon be quelled" He ran at her prepared to strike. Her to frozen in fear to protect herself, it was over she was going to die!
Then the front door busted down and she heard a scream "Twilight!" there in the doorway was Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash.
The creature stopped "There's more of them!?" He turned to the door raised his sword and charged. Only to be hit with a blast of magic.
"You wont harm my friends!" She had done it she had stopped... whatever that was and saved her friends. Then the creature started to glow, cards started to fly from it, and its body changed from that of a monster to a stallion... a handsome stallion at that. Then the stallion got up.
"W-w-what happened? Where are the cards!?" he then felt his body. "I'm a pony? Great! Just great!" he then felt his head and found a horn. "Even better! I'm a unicorn!" He looked at twilight "when the worlds nature goes all crazy I blame you!" He was a black unicorn stallion the size of Big Macintosh, he had a chestnut mane, and his cutie mark was a picture of the book she was reading earlier. Spike can swear he saw all the mares eyes turn into hearts for a second.
"Who are why did you attack me!?" Twilight was on top of him, yelling at him. And she was taken by surprise by the way he responded when he saw she was a mare.
"A little early for that don't you think? I should at least by you dinner first right?"
"What are you talking about?" her face got red as a tomato in that moment. While the others were snickering, even Fluttershy found it funny. She got off of him and mumbled under your breath "well you are handsome and I guess if you bought me dinner I wouldn't mind"
"I HEARD THAT! To tell the truth your pretty cute your self" Rainbow and AJ lost it and fell to the floor laughing as did the others except of rarity who kept at least some lady-like air to her. The girls started talking he couldn't understand most of what they said but he heard their names.
"Applejack.... Fluttershy... Pinkie Pie... Rarity... Rainbow Dash... Twilight Sparkle"
"Anyway let's get down to business!" He took out what looked like a key and threw it on the ground in the middle of them.
"U-um what are you doing? That is if you don't mind me asking?" A glowing circle formed around each mare and they couldent move. "Eep!"
"Whatcha think ur doin mister!?"
"I say this is hardly proper manners!"
"OH! My body feels tingly!"
"What are you a super spy or something!?"
"The princesses and my big brother will hear about this!"
The winged lion started to glow. Then it spoke. "Key to the seal these mares will carry out the books sacred promise their names are Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, & Twilight Sparkle. I Keroberos guardian of the seal command you to bestow them your powers. RELEASE THE POWER!!!"
Six staffs appeared on the end of each one was the cutie mark of the one they appeared in front of. "Take the staffs or you'll never be free" and so they each reached out and took their own staff and a card materialized in front of them. then they each heard a voice.
Twilight "Star"
Rarity "gem"
Rainbow "lightning"
Pinkie "balloon"
Fluttershy "butterfly"
applejack "apple"
Then they all blacked out.
