"Sooooo....   ...you three want a vacation?" Asked Queen Chrysalis on her throne to the three changeling subjects in her throne room. "Well yeah, we've been working real hard." Said the one to their right. "Plus griffons are hard to trick these days." Said the female one to their left. The one in the middle stepped forward "Silphin and Reshina are correct, we deserve a vacation." Queen Chrysalis stood from her throne "Do you? If I remember correctly Silphin took part in the robbery of the Great Griffon Bank and resulted in his entire team getting captured due to an unauthorized explosion spell, griffon's giving chase through the streets and the destruction of the vault." Silphin felt embarrassed from that, Chrysalis continued "Reshina here was ordered to gather some extra love at the Griffon council before leaving the Griffon kingdom. We had to send in a small force to rescue her after she 'accidentally' changed while seducing a Griffon council member." Reshina grew two large clusters of red on her cheeks and she awkwardly looked away "As for you Dokree, all I told you to do was find out if Equestria had any war plans against us, but what you heard must have been: destroy canterlot castle and create large diplomatic problems for me. Do you know how much diplomacy junk I went through to prevent a war?" Dokree's expression didn't change "Well, I didn't mean to destroy the castle, it just..." Chrysalis put her hoof over his mouth "These are all reasons for you to go on vacation, and away from here. I'm approving your request." the trio had looks of shock on their faces "You get to choose where you go." Silphin grew a look of confusion "But, where do we go?" "You can go to the dragon lands for all I care, just as long as your far away from here for a month." Chrysalis then left the room. Dokree and Silphin turned to Reshina "Seriously? Well, I actually have someplace in mind?" Reshina walked up to a window and pointed at a large tower "Let's get our things and meet at departure tower." _______________________________________________________________________ The trio arrived at the tower. Reshina took a map out of her back plate. Upon seeing the map, Dokree's face turned into annoyance "This is a map of Equestria....     ....are you trying to make me angry?" Reshina smiled "I think some time in Equestria could be relaxing, besides it's safer than some dragon cave or the griffon kingdom, right?" Silphin didn't agree with anything she just said "Okay, first I'm not going on vacation to relax I'm going to have some fun and enjoy myself. Second, were you there during the attack on Canterlot, it's more risky for changelings especially after they got another Alicorn over there." Reshina pointed at the map "There's only four Alicorn's in Equestria, it's not like we're gonna go looking for them. Let's choose somewhere that's not grand then, you know away from those royal guards and stuff." Dokree and Silphin were convinced, Dokree then pointed at multiple locations on the map "While I was there on duty I noticed that only Canterlot and the Crystal empire have royalty in them so we could go to Manehattan, Appleloosa, maybe even...." Silphin suddenly perked up "What about Ponyville, that place looks like it's out in the open away from the royalties." Reshina thought for a minute "Well it's away from a highly populated area, it's cheap, no royalties nearby....     ...well I think it's a good idea, what about you Dokree?" "It's the best place we can find on the map so I'm in, beside's what are the chance's there's going to be any Alicorn's there?" Dokree then walked to the edge of the pad and searched for Equestria "So when we get there, what do we do first?" Reshina put the map back under her back plate "I don't know, we'll figure it out when we get there." The trio then spread their wings and started using them to float of the tower, when they were given the all clear they sped up and eventually started flying very quickly. Dokree tried starting a conversation "So Reshina, you tried seducing a griffon and you changed by 'accident'." "Shut up Dokree, I almost got him until someone startled me by blowing up the bank that was next door." Reshina looked over at Silphin. "Hey, that's not my fault, we needed a way of escaping and I was getting bored so I made a more exiting way out." Dokree chuckled "By blowing a hole in the side of the bank, how did the vault get destroyed?" "Well once security found out what was going on we tried taking the vault itself through the hole, turns out a vault with over fifty million bits in it can't survive a forty foot drop." Reshina gave an interested look "How did you get that spell anyway? Only dive bombers and flyer's know that." "I thought everyone knew that spell. I can perform it quite easily." Silphin changed the topic "What about you Dokree? How does a recon mission turn into destroy Canterlot castle?" Dokree didn't want to answer the question but he felt it wouldn't hurt to tell his friends "Okay, I was trying to get information out of Celestia by posing as her adviser, but Luna very quickly realized something was up so she requested to talk to me. When I went to talk to her she tried to knock me out, presumably to lock me in the dungeon, so when the guards heard the noise the mission got out of hoof and I as I tried to make an escape Celestia blocked the main door's. I didn't know what to do, so I tried to cast a spell that would blow a hole in the wall for an exit, LITTLE did I know that the spell actually created vaporization liquid that tor through the structure of the building quickly. I got the heck out of there as fast as I could before they had time to react, when I looked back the castle crumbled, but of course everyone there survived." Reshina and Silphin accepted the story he told realizing they wouldn't know if he was telling the truth or not. _______________________________________________________________________________ The trio had stopped flying to take a breather, instead they were walking the rest of the way, Reshina grew a smile when she began to see the entrance to Equestria, (two mountains and an opening), "We're here guys, hope you brought everything you need." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Welcome //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Welcome The three changelings entered Equestria, Reshina realized that they weren't 'changed' but she thought they may as well wait until they get to Ponyville. The three of them walked until they saw Ponyville in the distance, Silphin stopped "Okay guys, let's 'get in custom' until we find somewhere to stay." Dokree transformed through a green flash into a dark blue stallion with bright purple hair, he was a unicorn and his cutie mark was a half invisible cloak. Reshina changed into a bright red mare with dark yellow mane, she was a Pegasus and her cutie mark was a blue heart. Silphin changed into a basic green stallion with a cyan mane, he was also a unicorn and his cutie mark was a highly explosive symbol. The three pony's walked into the town. ________________________________________________________________ Reshina was admiring the town, it was very peaceful compared to what she was used to. There was pony's occasionally giving a greeting to them. They stopped in front of town hall, Silphin didn't like talking to stranger's unless his friends talked to them first. They entered the building hoping to find someone that could help them. They waited at a desk that had the word 'Assistant' engraved on the front of it, they were slightly worried they wouldn't get a place to stay. A mare came out of the mayors office and walked up to the desk "Hello, is there something I can help you three with?" Dokree walked up to the desk "Yeah, we're here on vacation, do you know if there's anywhere we can stay?" "We have a small hotel room near sugar cube corner, the only one available is a family vacation room with a single and double bed." replied the pony. Reshina knew what this meant "(sigh) We'll take it, if it's the only room you have then we can manage." The mare smiled and held out her hoof holding a key "Okay, here is the key, hope you enjoy your vacation here in ponyville." The trio exited the structure Silphin walked out with a huge smile on his face "I dibs the single bed!" Dokree and Reshina looked at each other awkwardly "You two have to share the double bed." Dokree tried to make it less awkward "Well, yeah I don't mind I mean, we're just sharing a bed is all." Reshina built on this "Yeah, of course, it's no big deal I can share a bed with Dokree." Silphin thought to himself "Alright, it's still early, how's about I head to the hotel and unpack while you two explore the town for a bit?" Dokree and Reshina gave a few things to Silphin to take back to the hotel "Okay I'll see you guys later." Silphin walked of following a street signs to the hotel. Dokree and Reshina walked through the town in silence, as they were walking a pink pony appeared in front of them "Hi you must be new here, because I've never seen you here before and if I've never seen you before then that means you must be new so let me be the first to say welcome to Ponyville, WAIT! We need to throw a welcome to Ponyville party, but to do that I need to know what to have at the party and who to invite and...HEY! What would you like at your party?" Dokree was slightly stunned by the fact this pony could talk at such a speed, for that matter where did she come from and why did she look familiar "Um...  ...hello, before anything, we another pony with us and when is this party going to be?" The pink pony seemed to be happy to see that Dokree didn't deny the party "Well I'm thinking tomorrow afternoon at about 3:30 PM at sugar cube corner OH I'll make it a surprise party, but before you say anything it's only going to be a surprise party because you wont know whats going to be in it and....  ....WAIT! You said there was another one of you here in Ponyville, never mind I don't have time to wait I need to get to party planning!" The pink pony left as quick as she arrived leaving behind two extremely confused changeling's (pony's). Reshina was first to speak "What just happened?" "I think we just got welcomed by the local sugar freak." replied Dokree "But hey, at least she's giving us a welcome party." Reshina rolled her eye's "You and Silphin are going to have a blast, I'm not saying I wont enjoy it or anything." Dokree looked around the town "Well if we're going to be here for a month we may as well get to know some of the locals, right?" Reshina nodded and they both walked across town. ______________________________________________________________ Silphin walked through the door to the hotel, he looked at the room key for the room number '428' he walked up to the fourth floor and entered the door with said number engraved on it. Upon entering the room he saw a small living area, a door that led to the double bed on the left side of the room and his room on the right side, their was a small bathroom to his left "I like it." He closed the door behind him and changed back into a changeling, he took all the thing's he was given out of his back plate and put them next to the window, there was a bag of bread from Dokree as food, a bag full of Reshina's things and another full of Dokree's things. After Silphin was finished unpacking he looked out the window to admire Ponyville. While looking he spotted Dokree and Reshina talking to a rainbow Pegasus just outside. He wasted no time in rushing down to them. ____________________________________________________________________________ Dokree and Reshina walked towards the hotel, they looked around town enough to know their way around. They were about to open the door until "Hey, who are you two? I've never seen you around here before." They turned around to see a rainbow colored Pegasus floating just above the ground looking at them "Uh... ...we're here on vacation. Who are you exactly?" said Dokree. The Rainbow pony laughed "Well hot shot, I'm surprised we haven't already met. Anyway, my name is Rainbow dash fastest flier in all of Equestria, can I get your name big guy?" Rainbow dash was looking at him in a seductive way. Reshina didn't like this and moved in front of Dokree to talk Rainbow dash head on "I'm Reshina and he's Dokree, look we're happy to meet you but it's getting late and we should really..." Reshina was interrupted by Silphin joining the conversation "Hey guy's I unpacked and saw you down here so I thought I'd come talk to you guys." he turned to Rainbow dash "Hello, nice to meet you, I'm Silphin, here on vacation with these two." he raised his hoof as to hoof shake. Rainbow dash accepted the hoof shake "I'm rainbow dash, nice to meet you. Now Dokree I'd like to get to know you better, see you around." She then flew off. Reshina entered the hotel with a grumpy look on her face, Silphin turned to Dokree "What was that all about?" "I dunno. Doesn't matter though, your going to want to get a good nights sleep." Silphin grew confused "Why?" "Because there's a welcome party for us tomorrow at sugar cube corner." Dokree went inside, Silphin grew a large smile and a great deal of excitement. He dashed inside. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: First night //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: First night The trio entered their hotel room and changed back to their changeling forms. Reshina sat next to the window and stared out at the sun set "Beautiful, isn't it?" Reshina turned her head to see Dokree sitting next to her "This is only day one and we already scored ourselves a party." Reshina turned back to the view. "Yeah, I guess." Reshina was a bit off, she clearly had a problem with that Rainbow pony. "Are you okay?" Dokree had concern in his voice. Reshina didn't feel like this was the best time to talk "It's nothing, let's just go to bed." she walked into their bedroom. Silphin walked up to Dokree "It's probably nothing, now come on we've got a long day tomorrow, get some sleep." Dokree turned to his friend. "I know that if it is something, it's got something to do with that rainbow pony we were talking to." Dokree then got up and walked into the bedroom. Silphin took a minute to look out the window "Another reason why we needed this vacation." ___________________________________________________________________________ Dokree entered the room to see Reshina standing at the end of the bed. She turned to look at Dokree "So which side you sleeping on?" Dokree looked at the bed and decided either side of the bed wouldn't make a difference in his sleep "I guess I'll sleep on the left side." Reshina then walked over to the right side of the bed and got in facing inward "Good night." Dokree got in on the left side of the bed and faced outward to avoid any awkwardness between the two "Good night" he said as he closed his eye's to go to sleep. Reshina however didn't sleep, she was spending some time to think about things. Although she still found that sleeping in the same bed as Dokree was awkward she didn't really mind. ___________________________________________________________________________ The next morning.... Reshina slowly open her eye's to see Dokree was still asleep, she didn't want to wake him so she tried to be quiet. As her vision grew back after waking up she noticed that she was hugging him. Reshina, realizing what this could look like to him, slowly and carefully moved her hooves away from him. Once she was in the clear she quietly got out of bed and entered the living room to see Silphin eating a breakfast of three apple's and one drink of water "How do we like normal food's and our queen doesn't?" Silphin turned to Reshina "You want something to eat?" "First, I'm going to have a shower then eat." Reshina then walked into the bathroom, the shower could be heard turning on. Dokree then walked into the living room rubbing his eye's "Good morning Silphin, where's Reshina?" Silphin turned to Dokree "She's in the shower." Dokree then began walking towards the bathroom door. "Uh, I don't think she'd appreciate you walking in while she's having a shower." Silphin made every word sound obvious. Dokree turned to Silphin with a 'seriously' look on his face "Correct me if I'm wrong but we don't normally wear clothes." he then entered the bathroom. Silphin was left with a thoughtful look "hmm, he's got a good point..." _______________________________________________________________________________ Dokree entered the bathroom and saw the shower was on and the glass in front of it had fogged up from the steam so he couldn't see inside. He knew Reshina was in the shower because she was quietly singing: "Love is in bloom, a beautiful bride, a handsome groom..." Dokree interrupted this "Good morning Reshina." Reshina almost had a heart attack from that "Dokree, didn't Silphin tell you I was having a shower?" "Well yeah but we don't normally wear clothes so I thought..." Dokree felt slightly more awkward when talking about this with Reshina. "So you thought you'd mess with my privacy, it's still not right to enter the bathroom without alerting me!" Reshina sounded annoyed. (clearly) Dokree slowly walked back out "Okay, I'll wait until your done." He walked out closing the door behind him, he entered the living room to see Silphin was looking in a mirror while changing into his pony form wearing different clothes. Dokree disregarded that and walked into the kitchen. He entered the kitchen and grabbed an apple of the counter. He took a bite out of it and changed to his pony form. Once he was finished with the apple he left through the front door. Reshina walked out of the bathroom with a towel around her wast "Hey where's Dokree?" Silphin turned to her in his pony form with a jumper on "He just left. Probably to meet some more pony's in town." Reshina walked up to the window and saw Dokree in his pony form walking towards Sweet Apple Acre's. Silphin walked back to his room "Well, I don't know about you but I'm going to get an extra three hours of sleep before the party." he entered his room. Reshina removed her towel and changed into her pony form, she walked outside "Well I guess I'll meet some pony's as well." She then walked through town and came across a boutique "I can only wonder what kind of pony I'll meet in here." She entered the boutique and was instantly greeted by a small filly "Hello and welcome to Carousel Boutique, where you'll find all your fashion needs." Another pony walked up next to her "Getting better Sweetie belle but could use a bit more work. Anyway how may we help you today miss?" Reshina gave a friendly smile "Well I'm new her, on vacation with two friends so I figured I'd meet some of the locals." The pony gave a happy smile "You want to meet us ponyville folk? But of course, I'll take you out to meet some of them. Sweetie Belle, stay here until I get back." The white unicorn and Reshina exited the boutique and started walking down the road "So while we make our way let me introduce myself. I'm Rarity, what's your name darling?" "I'm Reshina, nice to meet you." Rarity was impressed with her manners so far "So who are these other two pony's your here with?" "Well there's Silphin, if anything he's the member of us who doesn't like to get bored and always tries to find the fun way of doing something." Rarity gave a little giggle out "Well I'm pretty sure he'll like Pinkie Pie." "Then there's my close friend Dokree, he's got charm, he's friendly and he'll protect those he care's about." Rarity almost instantly noticed how she spoke of him as if he was 'dreamy' but she didn't have time to investigate this as they approached a cottage just outside of town.
