Enigmatic Exploit and Undeserved Gratitude

There's a proverb concerning deceit, ''A false tongue will hardly speak truth,'' yet, ''A true tongue will hardly speak lies,'' and that's what Princess Celestia had done.

I ducked down to avoid being seen. She went into the cave. I popped my head above the foilage to listen better.

''Well done, my little ponies,'' Princess Celestia said.

''We didn't do it,'' Twilight insisted, ''Discord defeated us and we don't remember tying him up.''

''Then, who did it?'' Celestia questioned.

No answer came back and I knew Discord wouldn't say anything.

''Then, I declare,'' Celestia began, ''All of you, the ones who tied up Discord.''

I submerged my head underneath the leafage.

They were gone and took Discord with them.

I should mention that whatever Princess Celestia says is concrete and even if I told the truth, the Princess's words are always correct, even if they're dead wrong.

I walked home, gutted.
