Prologue
King Kosmos trotted, leaving his magic-filled tracks on the fresh olive grass. They flared up with black mist, making a place for a new sods. The sun fall down any minute. It meant that his wife, Queen Galaxia show herself soon.
They both loved to make. It was them, who created the whole ponykind in the place called Equestria. And not only the ponykind, but also the Gryphons, Changelings, Dragons, and many other races..
But their idea of idylic harmony was nothing but a dream. The other races hated ponies for their happines.
Something flashed on the evening sky. The light was shining like some sort of a star, moving slowly to the ground. It was Queen Galaxia. She waved with heir wings and went to her husband, kissed him and, in embrace on the meadow, resting on his chest and let him to fondle her mane.
„Darling…“ she said. She was exhausted from looking after the day, but support from her husband gave her so needed energy and kindness.
„My love…“ he replied.
They lied there for several minutes. Then, Queen Galaxia moved herself, looking into his eyes.
„I have a solution.“
„Me too.“
They both explained their ideas, realizing they thought about the same.
„It won´t be easy, but we cannot let happen something bad to them. Menace is threatening them and it will be our fault if we don´t give them a chance,“ Kosmos said.
Queen sighted sadly like a mother loosing her child. .
„I would would regret it forever.“
Forever was a very deep word for them. They were both immortal and when they said, that something was forever, they meant that it was a very strong memory.
„We´ll do it.“
„We cannot do anything better.“

Young stallion left a small wooden house and went to check cows in an enclosure. Something was disturbing them. During his walk he stumbled over a wooden pot near the farmyard´s well. He moved to the herd of cattle. It was strange, because the cows were sleeping normally, like everypony do in the middle of the night. He counted them and realized that one was missing. He took a rake from the shed near the enclosure jumped inside and ran to the second end of the paling. The missing cow was there, as he hoped. He checked her and was glad that nothing had happened to her. Suddenly a deep calm voice spoke,
„Come here, young boy.“
Stallion forgot how to breathe, he was frightened like a mouse caught by a cat. He tried to ingore his fear. For ages, he listened to the stories from his grandfather about heroes from ancient ages, and they could always face their fears.
„Who´s there?“
„You don´t have to fear me, I´m your friend.“
That voice was quite…calming. For some reason, he trusted that stranger hiding there, Stallion went around the cow. If he was frightened from the unknown voice before, now he was completely paralysed. In front of him was King Kosmos. He instantly fell down on his knees, trying to show the respect to the god.
„Rise.“
„You were chosen for a very important quest, young boy.“
That was impossible.
„Me?“
„Yes, you. As you certainly know, Equestria is a land of many ponies. There are Pegasi, Unicorns, and those like you, Earth Ponies. You have to connect those tribes together. You will protect the land of Equestria against all who want to see it burned.“
Young stallion tried to protest. He was just a simple Earth pony from a farm. Without knowledge, without magic. He couldn´t rule everyone.
King Kosmos smiled.
„You weren´t chosen without a reason. You are exceptional, and I trust that you´ll manage it. After you complete the first part of your journey, I´ll find you, tell you what to do next and of course reward you.“
„But I-”
A clear flash appeared. King Kosmos dissapeared and the young stallion stood there alone. He checked his body and found something that wasn´t there before. On his blank flank was his Cutie Mark. Laurel leaf.
