The Hunter
Negotiations part 2
Previous ChapterNext ChapterGuan-thwei lead the tall equine who had identified herself as 'Luna' through his ship. She seemed very curious about almost everything she saw on there way to the captains deck. Not a good sign.
Luna wanted to ask the alien so many questions. Why it came here, what it wanted, where it came from and so much more. Out of all those questions that she had though, Luna feared to annoy or agitate him more than he already was, so she restrained her curiosity for the moment.
"So.... this is quite a nice ship you have here." she said awkwardly.
In all honesty though, Luna was just being nice. The ships interior was very creepy and unwelcoming. The section of the ship they were walking through was a dark hallway leading up to a large metal door. The hallway was made entirely of a metallic black metal. There was a few red lights on the walls, providing some visibility, not much though. Luna sensed something about this place, see sensed..... death. Her thoughts were interrupted when she bumped into the now still alien.
"We're here." the alien informed her.
He hit in a code on a keypad near the door, making the door separate, introducing a new room. As they walked into the room, Luna looked around. It was dark and cold, just like the rest of the ship. There was a large console of blinking lights in the front of the room, which she could only imagine was for a computer of some sorts. Luna had seen computers befor, in the griffon empire as they were the ones who invented it, though theirs seemed very out of date compared to this one. In the centre of the room was a large chair. It was made mostly of the same black metal she had seen throughout the ship, it had a red leather seat and more blinking lights on the arm rests. The alien sat down in the chair turned it around like a swivel chair,
facing Luna.
"Now listen to me very closely equine, I have questions and you are going to answer them for me, do you understand?" he asked.
"Very well, I will answer your questions creature..... so long as you answer some of mine in exchange." Luna said with determination.
The alien made a few clicking sounds and began pressing the flashing buttons on his armrests "That is.... acceptable, I shall ask first." he stated as he pressed one last button, making a large, red, virtual planet appear in front of them both " what is the name of your planet?" He asked.
Luna was taken back by the hologram, never had she seen such advanced technology " Equestria..... our planets name is Equestria, same as the part of the planet you are on right now." she stuttered.
The creature typed on the arm rest " Odd to name a planet after a place ON the planet, wouldn't you say?" he asked snobbishly "Now let me guess YOUR question, you want to know why I broke the small equines hoof, yes?"
"Very much so, along with why you attacked the rest of my guard!" Luna said with slight anger.
"Your guard were trying to brake into my ship, which in my culture is a threat." the alien informed her.
"WE WERE TRYING TO HELP YOU, WE THOUGHT YOU WERE HURT!" Luna explained.
As the hologram planet shrank until it disappeared, the alien stood up and walked towards the princess " Your concern for my life was unnecessary, but it is noted."
Luna became nervous as the creature moved towards her, but calmed as it passed her and continued walking towards what appeared to be a chest. Two blades extended from the aliens right gauntlet, startling the lunar princess. The creature stabbed the blades into two slits on the top of the chest and twisted his arm. The chest opened and the alien removed two items. A metal cylinder with a light blue glow at the top and a medium sized case.
Luna looked down at the ground " OK, so we touched some of your stuff, is that really an excuse for beating my guards to a pulp, is it an excuse to crush there hooves, to break there bones, to....." she stopped as the looked up to see the alien was no longer at the chest.
"I could have killed them." his voice said behind her.
Luna spun around to see the towering alien looking down at her. She was scared, very scared as the lumbering behemoth stared straight through her very soul. Luna involuntarily started to step back Crome the alien creature, only for him to step forward, still staring.
"I could have slaughtered them all with out hesitation, without mercy." he informed her.
Luna took a few more steps back, a look of horror plastered on her face.
The alien followed Luna's motions. Every step back she took, he would take a step forward. Luna was taking short breaths, her heart was pounding in her chest as the creature followed her. She gasped as her rear end bumped into the side of the room.
She looked up at her approacher " Then why didn't you?" she stuttered.
The alien tilted his head and made more clicking noises " Because, if you have the recourses, I need your help in repairing my ship." he told her.
He turned his back to her and made his way back to the large chair, making a large thud when he sat.
The two beings stared at each other for a few moments "Is your species capable of space travel?" he asked.
Luna wanted to tell him about her imprisonment on the moon, as that was technically space travel, but she knew that he was referring to his space ship.
"No, we are not that technologically advanced yet." she told him.
"Well, then it appears there was no point in sparing your lives." he said nonchalantly " BUT, seeing as I already have, I suppose we should make some negotiations for the time ill be staying here."
The creature beckoned the lunar princess over to where he was sitting. Luna slowly made her way over to the waiting extraterrestrial, sitting on the cold floor when reaching him.
"I only have one condition equine, you will listen to it with utmost attention and when I'm finished you may speak, understood?" He ordered.
Luna was appalled at how he spoke to her. She had told him that she was co-ruler of all Equestria, but still he showed her disrespect, even more so than Discord had in her younger years. Luna no longer had any desire to get to know the alien, no desire to befriend him, see just wanted to get the 'negotiation' over with and leave the spooky ship.
"Alright, speak them then." she said.
"My existence on this planet must remain a secret. I will allow you, your fellow co-rulers, and military leaders to know of it, besides that, it is to be of the utmost classification." he said.
Luna was confused " I understand me and my fellow co-rulers, but why military leaders?"
"It will show me that you and your military can be trusted, and if you all can be, when I leave this planet and report it's existence to my homeworld, I will encourage my elders not to classify your species as prey." he said.
Prey. Did he just say prey. Luna's heart skipped a few beats and wanted to ask what he meant by prey. Her train of thought was interrupted when she noticed the alien sticking the metal cylinder he had removed from the chest in her face.
"What is this?" she asked as she used her magic to take it from his hand, slowly.
"A gift. That is a gkei'moun, a memory eraser that you are going to use on your soldiers. All you have to do is twist the top, wait for the red lights to turn blue, aim it at them, and click the top down." he explained.
The alien pressed some buttons on his left gauntlet and got up " The door which we came in is open, see yourself out."
"Wait, surely most of my subjects saw the crash and will want to investigate!" she exclaimed.
The creature looked away from the princess and clicked "Your there leader, tell them that it was a meteorite, but tell them that it has lethal doses of cosmic radiation, and if they are exposed, it will kill them instantly." he said.
Luna had to admit it, that was actually a decent explanation to tell the public. It would explain what the crash was and why to stay away from the crash.
The lunar princess nodded at the towering monster, bravely extending her hoof for a shake. The creature looked at it but made no movements. Luna took this as a rejection to her goodbye and lowered her hoof.
"Well I guess this is goodbye Mr...." she started.
In all the excitement, horror, fear and many other emotions, Luna didn't even get the visitors name.
"Guan-thwei, N'dhi-ja equine princess." Guan said before he turned his back on her and made his way to the computer console.
"What does that mean?" Luna asked.
"Goodbye." he said flatly, not even turning from the keypad.
His shortness hurt Luna, but she was relieved that she was able to leave now. Not saying another word to this 'Guan-thwei' and made her way back to the ships entrance.
Guan-thwei walked away from the keyboard and sat down in his chair, releasing a large sigh of relief. Talking to lesser species always had exhausted him, he would much rather prefer hunting then negotiating. He looked down on the right side of the chair. It was the case that he had taken out of his personal chest. The predator picked up the case, laid it on his lap and opened it. Inside the case was his most prized weapon. His short-sword Dah'Nagara. This was the sword that he was rewarded when he had returned to the clan village with the head of an U'darahje, an unholy hybrid of serpent and yautja blood. He removed the sword and gently placed the case on the floor, then proceeding to strap the sword onto his left thigh. Guan became excited. This planet had new game to hunt, and new trophies to collect.
Luna exited the ship in a hurry, the metal door slamming shut behind her. She looked around at her little ponies. They were begginging to regain concousnious. The lunar princess noticed Shadowed Lightning desperately try to get up. Luna rushed over to her side and helped her stand.
"Princess, are.... You ok?" the lunar captain weakly asked.
The princess let Shadowed lean on her for support " Shush... save your strength captain."
Luna tried to pick out Shinning Armor from the crowd of bodies. Cadence was going to kill her for putting him in this situation. Luna noticed that Shadowed was looking towards the ship, snarling. Luna looked where her captain was, it was Guan-thwei standing at the now open entrance.
"By the way equine, if any of your subjects gain the courage to investigate the crash site, and if they present me with harm, I will kill them." Guan informed her.
Luna was about to protest until the door slammed shut again. Luna growled at just the thought of him killing a subject, but he did say if they only presented him harm, so it would be self defence. Still, she didn't like the idea of it. Suddenly, there was a tapping on her shoulder, making her jump slightly. It was Shining Armor.
" Princess, we have to go. There's a storm coming in." he said in pain.
He must have just relocated his jaw. Luna looked up to the sky. It was dark and glumly. She looked back at the solar captain a nodded. Her horn began to glow a deep blue, every guard became incased in the glow, until ultimately the princess and the guard teleported from the forest back to Canterlot Castles barracks. Luna's head was pounding. Teleporting that many beings really took a lot out of her.
"Princess, I'm...... I'm sorry that we failed you." Shadowed Lightning said as her head sunk with sadness.
Shining Armor looked down aswell, as he to was ashamed at their failure to protect her. Luna merely smiled and lifted there heads with her magic.
"It could have been a lot worse my faithful guards. Now I want you to go to your personal rooms and get some rest, I have some business to discuss with the rest of the guard." she said as she looked at the 'gkei'moun' that Guan had given her. " Also, do not inform any pony of the creatures existence, it is of great classification."
The two captains bowed and made their way to their rooms.
Luna sighed and made her way towards the rest of the guard, to fulfill Guan-thwei's instruction, though, as Luna looked at the guard, it seemed like something was missing.
Guan sat in silence on his chair, contemplating on his talk with the equine. She was kind to him through their entire conversation, a sign of weakness. He growled at how much time he had wasted talking to her.
"You shouldn't have left the door open for so long." said an familiar voice behind the hunter.
The predator slowly swivelled his chair to face the intruder. It was the guard know as Leaf Step.
"Now, your going to pay for attacking me, my fellow guard, and my princess." Leaf said as he pulled out his sword.
Guan merely watched him as he used his one good hoof to to lift his sword, and used his weak hoof to slowly limp towards him "You think you can come to our world, and beat us up for no reason. You think you can threaten our princess."
The young guard was now in front of the yautja, blood still dripping from his crushed hoof " I'LL KILL YOU!" he yelled, sword raised.
"Unlikely." Guan said menacingly to the young pony.
With a yell, Leaf Step swung his sword down towards the predator. Guan extended his wristblades, and before Leaf even had a chance to react, the dual blades sliced clean through his neck, sending his head swirling in the air, his crimson blood splatering and squirting all over the room and Guan-thwei. Leafs headless body dropped to the floor and his sword flew across the room.
Guan sat up and walked over the equines dead body, picking up his head. The warrior stared at the lifeless head, feeling nothing for taking his life.
"Pathetic equine, you should have learned your lesson from your hoof." He told the head.
Guan smiled though. At least he had his first trophy on this planet. The first trophy of many. He released a deafening victory roar, raising the head in the air, lightning and thunder booming outside of the ship.
Guan-thwei had a feeling that he was going to enjoy his time on this planet.
