The Library, the Fount of Eternal Knowledge, the Archive, the Hall of Memories. Different names, same place. A place so ancient few know of it. Even the Alicorn Princesses know very little. I have scoured this land. I have scanned ancient, forgotten libraries. I have examined the carvings of the ancient griffon clans. I have ventured into deep dungeons, forbidden temples, and places so dark and evil few would dare to tread. What precious little information I found has been compiled into this book. The earliest known definite reference to the Hall of Memories comes from the ancient griffons in an abandoned city, situated deep in the Mountains of Ebran. Their ancient texts mention a "place far removed us in space and time" that holds a record of everything that has happened from the beginning of the universe to what will happen at the end. After finding the book from which the quote was taken, I was intrigued and began digging deeper. I found old tales of a sealed temple holding great treasures and knowledge that could only be opened by the bearers of six powers and their "hated enemies." This may be a reference to the famous Elements of Harmony, which are lost somewhere and most likely irretrievable. What the "hated enemies" are remains to be seen. What precious little information I have gathered has pointed me to one place- a heavily forested mountain range in the Unknown Lands. There, if my sources are correct, the brave explorer will find a large stone disc set into the ground with standing stones arranged around it, twelve in total. If the Elements and their enemies are arranged correctly, the door to the Hall will open. The defenses of the Hall are said to be numerous and deadly. What is found in the Hall could very well destroy nations, raze continents, and cause untold amounts of chaos within and without Equestria and the bordering nations and territories. So a caution, travellers, adventure-seekers, crusading librarians, and mages. What you learn could change the universe. Use it wisely and use it well.
