Princess Cadence's back story
"wake up honey, its gonna be a great day today!". Cadence opened her eyes to find her mother's glowing smiling face looking down at her. she loved her mother, she was sweet, kind, and caring,Cadence wanted to be like her when she grew up. "what are we doing today?" Cadence asked sleepily, "well i think its time to show you something very dear to our Empire" suddenly Cadence leaped out of bed into her mothers arms, laughing in joy, "AWESOME!!" the little filly screamed, her mother put her head back."honey can you please try and not make me deaf?" she laughed.
As they walked down to the dinning room for breakfast Cadence asked "is daddy gonna be here?". her father has been gone for a while in canterlot taking care of royal business that Cadence was "too young to understand". "why yes, he should be here by now.." but before her mother was finish Cadence flew off to see him.
When she flew into the dinning room, she stopped in confusion. instead of finding her father,she found a big crystal blue stallion and a few soldiers,all with grim faces and bloody bandages, "wheres daddy?" Cadence asked, the big blue one came over and respond "wait for your mother then we will talk about it". "talk about what?" Cadence's mother just walked in, and when she looked around the room her face went from glowing to grim. "what happened?" mother asked, the blue stallion answered in a sad grim voice, and Cadence was in shock of what he said." the king is dead".
What happened was, When the troops were heading back to the Crystal Empire, a strange army that was led by this strange unicorn attacked, the battle was horrible, but what was strange was when her father was killed in battle the army disappeared with a haunting laugh. the few soldiers that were in the dinning room were the only ones who lived.
after they were done talking Cadence bolted up to her room and locked it. it took a few hours to get her to unlock it, but she did eventually, but she didn't leave the room, the only thing she did other than sitting in shock was eating when the servants brought the food to her. every night she would cry herself to sleep. her father meant so much to her, when he wasn't taking care of royal duties, he would play with her, and when she was upset and her mother couldn't get through to her, her father would stop working to comfort her. and now that he is gone what will happen to her?
during those two days her mother was unable to see her because she was mourning too, and Cadence couldn't hate her for it, her father was her mother's husband, she had every right to mourn. but that morning her mother walked into her room, sat on her bed and started petting Cadence's mane."honey you okay?" mother asked. Cadence shook her head. "well i need to show you something" she continued "remember i said i would two days ago?". Cadence's turned her head towards her mother "okay".
