The howl of Love

The room had a cool, dark fell as the pony found herself looking at her reflection on the marble floor.  Applejack was dressed in a dress that was fashionable but yet beautiful. Applejack felt a blush come over her face. This is something AJ never would ware in public. The dress had ruffle around the hem and a large bow on the back. The dress was red in color with a hint of pink in it.  Applejack’s mane was done up, and a single yellow flower was next to her ear. As Applejack look up from the floor, she realized she is in a large ballroom. The room was filled by ponies from all over equestria, and all of the ponies were dress as she was.  Just then, Applejack eye contact was drawn in by a pony from across the dance floor.  The pony was in a gray suite, and had a rose in his teeth. The rose was made of fine gems and was made with great care.  As the stallion came closer, AJ then notes the smell of fresh pine and strawberries. As the pony came into the light AJ saw the pony’s eye color. The stallion eyes were gold in color and had no pupils.  As the stallion reached AJ, he removed the flower behind AJ ear and replaced it with the rose.

“May I have this dance my little cowpony?”  Stallion says.

The stallion asks her to dance as if he knew Applejack for years.  Applejack didn’t say a word and just nodded yes. On the dance floor, the two ponies assumed the common position for a waltz. As the music begins, the two love birds dance as if they danced this dance hundred times before.  Applejack heart filled with the love of a pony that she didn’t even know his name.  Yet this all seemed to be something she had done before.  Suddenly, Applejack heart sunk as if she knew what was about to happen.  A black cloaked figure steps out of the crowd and walk over to the pair. Applejack felt a hoof press on her chest and the word “this shall not be” rang in her ears.

The black cloaked figure leaned in close to Applejack’s ear and whispered “for your own good”.  Applejack suddenly was pushed away and began to fall backward. Applejack watched as the black cloaked figure and the stallion begin to disappear into darkness, until only the shimming light from the jewel on the cloaked figure’s chest plate was visible. In a second, even that light was gone. Applejack was surrounded by darkness and a cold feeling fell upon her. Applejack reached out into the absence of light looking for something to hold on to.  Applejack felt something warm, furry and real just in front of her. Applejack quickly rapped her forelegs around the warmth and held it close to herself.

“I thought you left me” said Applejack “I thought she took you away again.”

Applejack felt a muzzle just above her muzzle and move up to meet it. Applejack held the warm body in a tight in brace. she feared if she let go the pony she held would disappear forever. A great sadness in golfed her as she spoke to the pony.

“I just want you to say you love me before you go” said Applejack in a sad and pleading voice. Applejack placed a warm and loving kiss on the muzzle. As Applejack opens her eyes, she realized that she was not kissing the love of her life but her friend Fluttershy. Applejack had fallen asleep on the train to the crystal empire and the rest of her friends were with her.  Poor Fluttershy had a panic look on her face and was squirming to break the hold of her friend.  Applejack released her friend and slide to the other side of the bench before looking around.

“Please tell me the name of the stallion that made you do that!” Rarity blurts out as she places her book down.  Applejack’s face turns a bright red as she stood up and ran to the back of the train car.

Fluttershy was visible shaken by the incident and curled up in the corner of the bench.  Pinkie pie quickly ran over to Fluttershy to see if she was all right.  Twilight Sparkle left her set to fallow her friend Applejack to the back of the train car. Twilight found she needed to step over a “scramming in laughter” Rainbow dash to head in that direction. Twilight had stop only for a second to give disapproved look to Rainbow dash.

“Will you get off the floor and clam yourself” Twilight said to Dash as she walked by.

Rarity turns to Spike and says “do be a gentle dragon and hold my page would you?” Rarity grabs Spike’s tail and places it between the pages of her book like a bookmark. Then Rarity followed Twilight to the back of the car to see if she could help in anyway.

“AJ are you O.K.? “ Twilight ask in a questionable voice. “You seem to be having some trouble sleeping lately” add Twilight. Applejack just turns to face the window and place her head agent it.

Tears filled Applejack’s eye when she whispers “so close…….. to asking”.

Twilight face twisted into a confused look before asking “ask what?”

“His name, that all” says Applejack add before she slides down the window and lay flat on her back. Twilight can now see the bags under Applejack’s eyes.

“How long has this been going on?” asked Twilight.

Rarity walks up to the beach that Applejack was now laying on and says “You look like you haven’t had a good night sleep for days, darling.”.

“I’ve had this dream for a while. The dream would come once every month for the past three apple seasons. Now, that princess Celestia sent us to find the monster of ice mountain. I can’t stop dreaming of this pony that I see in my dreams.” Applejack let out in one breath.

Applejack gave a description of the dream she had to the ponies that came to console her. When Applejack was finished with her story she looks up at the ceiling of the train car and began to cry. Twilight walked over to the beach and sat down next to Applejack’s head.

Twilight place her hoofs on either side of Applejack’s head and says “We will talk to Princess Luna when we finish with princess Celestia mission at the crystal empire. If any pony can help Luna can.” Applejack looks up at Twilight and gave a half-hearted smile.  Rarity walks over to Applejack and leans over to look into her eyes.

“The way you kiss Fluttershy, we must meet this pony that has your heart.” Rarity says with a smile. “Maybe this stallion is at the crystal empire just waiting for you. Maybe the stallion is that some pony you’re meant to marry and live happy ever after with, darling.” Rarity adds looking all dreamy and heart-felt.  Applejack gives a light push to Rarity’s head so she can sit up. Applejack wiped the tears from her eyes and takes a deep breath.

“Let’s just get thought this mission and then we will worry about my dreams later.” Applejack says with a clearer head then when she woke up. Just then, the three ponies at the back of the train car look up to the front to see Pinkie pie dancing and acting silly to make Fluttershy laugh. These cause all the ponies in train car to smile and make the mood in the train car a little better.

As the train pulled into the station, the group looked out at the platform and can see that Shining Armor and princess Cadance waiting for them. The mare six and Spike left the train in a group and walked up to the royal couple to greet them.

“Brother, this is a great surprise for you to greet us at the train station!” Twilight said with a smile as wide mile.

“I wanted to make sure you made it in all right.” Shining Armor said giving a hug to his sister. ”There is a snow storm coming in from the north. The storm will be a large one and could cut off the railway.” Shining Armor add as he greeted the rest of the group.

“Princess Celestia said you need help to capture a monster that has been raiding the empire.” says Rainbow dash.

“Yes, the monster has been seen taking food and nothing more. We were hoping Fluttershy can talk to the monster and convince the monster to stop.” says princess Cadance. Fluttershy looking around a pile of suitcases says “Ah okay I can give it a try.”

“You should be able to capture the monster; you have lots of guards in the empire.” Pinkie pie says pointing to the guards standing around the royal carriage.

“The monster can become invisible, and has a tendency to raid the empire at night.” says Shining Armor with a look of concern.

“Why is the heart of the empire not keeping the monster out?” asks Spike.

“We think the beast is not evil, just looking for food.” Princess Cadance says with a look in the direction of her husband.

“In the last two days the monster has been seen in the city during the day. I think the monster is getting ready for the storm and has raiding the empire to stock up.” says Shining Armor.

“We all should split up to cover more ground and look for any sign of the monster” Twilight says to the group.

“Me and Cadance will return to the castle and keep the people informed to say out of the way” Shining Armor says to the group. As Twilight is giving instructions to the group, Applejack smells something familiar in the air. The smell reminded her of the dream she had. The smell of fresh cut pine trees and strawberries filled the air. As if the thing that was giving off the smell was standing right beside her.  Twilight finished talking, the group began to break up and head in different directions.

Twilight had so many things on her mind she had exigently paired Applejack and Fluttershy together. Fluttershy keep to herself and walked a few step behind AJ. Applejack found her mind still fixed on the smell that seems to be following her.  Rainbow dash noted that Applejack and Fluttershy had been pair up. Dash seeing an opportunity to throw in a wise comment at the new couple, flew up to a window sill to yell a few heckles.

“Fluttershy and Applejack sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.” Dash sang and danced.

“Rainbow Dash, you stop that.” Fluttershy yelled up at Dash. As Dash danced, she kicked a flower pot off the edge of the window. Fluttershy jump out of the way, but Applejack was not paying attention.

”Applejack, look out!” screamed Rainbow Dash. Applejack looked up as flower pot was about to hit her in the head. The flower pot stops in mid-air and floated in the air by no means.  The flower pot seemed to float over Applejack’s head for a few minutes and then float down to the ground.  This action of the potted plant causes Applejack’s jaw to drop. Applejack, still in amazement by the event, walked over to the plant to take a look. Applejack slams into something that is just in front of the plant.  The invisible object fell with a heavy thud to the ground. A bright flash of light from the area of the potted plant stuns the group of ponies. As the ponies rubbed their eyes and regain their sight. A gray wolf shaped beast with gold colored eyes lay in front of Applejack. Applejack stared at the monster and froze as the memory of her dream flashed in her mind. Her heart skips a beat as she look into the gold eye of the beast. The beast stands up and faces the eye locked pony. The beast was six inches taller than Applejack, but the beast had lowered its head to look straight in Applejack’s eyes. Applejack lifts her front leg and reaches out a hoof to touch the side of the hairless wolf face. Applejack’s efforts are foaled by Rainbow dash tackling the beast.

“Got you” yell Rainbow dash as she pins the beast to the ground. The beast in turn flips Dash on her back reaches up and grabs a dress from a clothes line. The beast moving as fast as a blink of an eye throws the dress over Dash’s head and pulls down. This causes Dash to be unable to move her front legs or her wings.

“Fluttershy, stop the monster!” Dash yells a she struggles to free herself.

Fluttershy stood in the way of the fleeing beast with eyes close and clenched teeth. The monster stops and leans in close to Fluttershy’s face. Fluttershy open her eyes to see how close the beast was to her. Horrified Fluttershy eyes grew wide and her mouth fell open to the image of the beast.  The beast exhaled sharply as if to bark, but no noise came out. This causes the little pony to shake in fear and began to breath heavy. The beast picks up Fluttershy and places her off to the side of his path. The monster gives a lite pat to the head of the fear filled pony and continues on his way. Applejack regains her senses and ran after the beast. The noise of the scuffle attracted the rest of the mare six and Spike to the area. Twilight and Pinkie pie chased after Applejack and the beast. As Rarity and Spike stay to helped Rainbow Dash and console Fluttershy.

“Get me out of this thing” Dash yelled fighting the flower coved dress.

“We must get you out of this dress, darling” Rarity said pull on the dress “It not your color at all.” Dash had that look of annoyance from both the dress and the comment. The beast turn right and headed towed a cart filled with flowers. Applejack saw a chance to tackle the beast and leap to the chance. The both of them slam into the flower cart, destroying the cart. Applejack pop up from a pile of flowers and shuck her head.  Applejack is missing her hat, but gained a rose behind her ear. The beast pop up from the other side of the pile and is wearing Applejack’s hat. The beast removes Applejack’s hat and replace the hat on her head. Applejack thanks the beast and then regains her sense.Applejack yells “HEY” as she sees the beast wave goodbye and begins to run. The beast is almost to the outskirts of the city when Twilight and Pinkie reached Applejack.

“I will keep after the varmint; you go get the rest of the group.” Applejack says to Twilight and Pinkie. Pinkie nodded and ran back the same direction she came from, but Twilight stayed to help.Twilight can see the shield that covers the crystal empire by the heart of the city and the storm that is raging just on the other side of it.

“Applejack, wait don’t pass the shield” yells Twilight. Twilight request falls on deaf ears as Applejack fallows monster passed the shield. Twilight galloped as fast as she could to chatch up with the fleeing duo. Applejack was hot on the beast’s tail when they burst out of the shield and into the storm. The snow felt like knives slicing Applejack’s face and body as the determent pony keep to the chase. Twilight ran out of the shielded area, but only to stumble back because of the power of the storm. As Twilight returned to the sanity of the shielded area the rest of team arrived. Rainbow Dash was in flight when she stops to ask Twilight were is Applejack and the beast.

Twilight try to shack the cold feeling of the storm when pointed to the shield and says “outside of the shield!” Rainbow Dash wanes up to fly out of shielded area when Twilight grabs Dash’s tail.

“The storm is out of control. To go out there now is too dangerous. Applejack should be breaking the chase and heading back in a minute. We will wait for the storm to break, then will find the beast.” Twilight says to the group.

Applejack was so determent to talk to the beast she didn’t release that the storm was growing in size.

“WAIT” Applejack screamed as she keeps to the chase.

“WE ONLY WANT TO TALK” Applejack pleaded with the monster. The monster didn’t look back as it forged up the mountain and began to disappear from Applejack’s sight. The storm grew to the point AJ couldn’t see her hoof in front of her face. The snow covered ground began to be too hard for AJ to transverse and she turned to go back. Applejack found that she had lost her way. Applejack looked around for something to get her barring off of, but the storm was blinding. After a few minute Applejack stop and fell to the ground shivering and too frozen to go on. Applejack felt dizzy as she leaned her head down to get protection from the stinging snow. Applejack felt a sudden feeling of being lifted and then a feeling of being placed on back of somepony. Applejack felt the warmth of a blanket on her back. Applejack strength was almost gone when she look up to thank the pony that saved her. Applejack was surprised to see the beast was carrying her. She began to struggle to remove herself from the beast’s back.

The beast notes the pony on his back is awake and says “Relax, your body temp is too low, stay under the blanket”. Applejack looks over to the front of the beast a sees a silver ball leading the way. “We will be at my ship in a few minute. We will inform you friends later of you whereabouts.” The beast tells Applejack. Applejack feeling of be dizzy took over and the poor pony pass out.

Applejack had a feeling of floating and warmth when she awoke. Applejack’s eyes open to see pipes and valves running across the ceiling. She still felt a little cold, but not as dizzy like she felt before.

“There we go, come back to me” says a soft voice.

“I thought I lost you to the cold.” The voice added as Applejack felt a warm, wet wash cloth rub her forehead. As Applejack became more aware of her surroundings, she realized she is in a tank of warm water and being held by a wolf. Applejack began to struggle to free herself from the grip of the wolf.

“Take it easy, you’re safe, I’m not going to hurt you” the wolf says in a calming voice. The wolf look like a normal wolf, gray, furry, and had big blue eyes.  “My name is Alpha; I think you should drink this.”  Alpha places a cup to Applejack lips and let the pony drink.  Applejack feels the warm liquid slide down her throat. “You should be feeling a lot better now” Alpha says placing the cup down and lifting the pony up so she can sit in the tank with him instead of him holding her. Applejack look around the room and became aware that she in a bathroom. White tile surrounded the room and small light fixtures were in each corner. “I have sent one of my probes down the mountain. The probe is programmed to find your friends. When the probe finds you friends we will be able to talk to them though the probe.” Alpha says.

“What is a probe?” Applejack says with a confused look on her face.  Applejack looked at the size of the bath tub, and noted that the water had a smell of pine.

”OH, that would be the silver ball that help me get you from the storm.” Alpha says.  Applejack looks around the tub and watches as a rubber duck float by her. Applejack face turned a lite shade of red. She felt a little embarrassed by the idea of her taking a bath with her savior and now new friend.

“I feel a little…..weird” Applejack says as her face twists and forelegs cross in front of her chest.

“OH yes, we should get out and continue the conversation over tea and muffins.” Alpha says as he hops out of the water and grabs a towel for Applejack.  Applejack steps out and garbs the towel and began to dry off.  Alpha step out of range of AJ and shakes the water out of his fur like dogs tends to do.

“Whoa, I love that just shaken feeling.” Alpha says as he grabs a towel. Applejack had a towel on her head drying her mane when she hears the click of dog nails on tile floor.  As Applejack lifted the towel to see where her new friend is, she is met by a set of big blue eyes and a wet nose.

“Hi” Alpha says with a quiet voice as he peers under the towel. Applejack rears back to get some room to remove the towel off her head and to get some breathing room. “We need to talk about personal space” Applejack says putting hoof Alpha’s nose, and giving it a light push. Alpha’s eyes are as big as dinner plates and locked on Applejack’s eyes.

“Green” Alpha says, then pauses and adds “eyes”. Applejack turns to look at the floor and a blush cover her checks.

“Yes, I have green eye, but that nothing great” Applejack whisper out as she pulled on her tail.

“In my world green eye means that you are connected with the planet. That would mean you are a goddess” Alpha say trying to make eye contact again. Applejack began to giggle like a school filly and places the towel over her face.

Applejack quickly changes the conversation by asking “Did you say I can talk to my friends?” “Yes, you can, right this way” Alpha says pointing to the door with his paw. Applejack grabs her hat and with a flip tosses the hat onto her head. Applejack walks through the doorway fallowed by Alpha.

Alpha and Applejack enters a larger room filled by computer monitor hanging in the center of the room. The monitors are filled with the images of all over equestria. There is a pillow on the floor in front of a keyboard on a small table in front of the monitors.

“Computer, locate p2” Alpha says with a clear loud voice.

A voice coming out of a set of speaker on each side of the room answers “P2 is five minutes from destination point”. “Do you want the on board camera to be turn on?” ask the computer.

“Yes, put the image on monitor one.” Alpha says as he types something into the keyboard. Applejack looks over Alpha’s shoulder a see a smaller monitor in front of the keyboard. There is a list of numbers and letters filling the monitor and a picture of a silver ball. Applejack looks around the room and sees a small kitchen in one corner. In the other corner is a small single pony bed that has two pillows and a few blankets. Past the kitchen is a stairwell leading down. Applejack looks past the monitors and sees two chairs and a set of instruments in front of a large window. The window is covered by snow and ice. To the right of the monitors a work table with tools and the gray hairless wolf with the gold eyes stands next to the table on a platform. On the other side of the room is a large door with the words “air lock one” in bold print on it. The advanced look of the room was washed over by the difference of looks in each part of the room. The front of the room seemed to be from one ship and the back of the room was from another. Even the furniture all looked from different worlds.

“What is this place?” Applejack says in awe.

“Flight deck and command center” Alpha says as if ever pony know what he is talking about.

“What is a flight deck?” Applejack says with a confused look on her face. On the monitor in the middle of all the other monitors Applejack can see the shield she pasted to leave the empire.

“Destination is reached, shall I being phase two?” the computer says. Alpha looking at the small monitor in front of him and replies “yes”.  Applejack is standing next to Alpha and watches as the shield on the monitor get larger. Then there is a flash of light as the probe pass the shield. On the other side of the shield there is a group of ponies with a large amount of supplies. The probe rolls to the closes pony and stop. The camera on the probe pans up to see the back of the pony.

“That my friend, Pinkie Pie!” Applejack says placing her hoofs on the small table to see the center monitor better.

Alpha looks up from the small monitor in front of him and says “Oh good” with a smile on his face. “Computer, phase two is complete, get the pony’s attention.” Alpha say looking back down to the small monitor and rotate the monitor toward Applejack.

Twilight is frantically running around checking all the supplies a she is getting ready to pass the shield to find Applejack. A clip board is floating in front of Twilight with a list that she is reading off of.

“Do we have all the supplies here or do we have to wait?” Twilight says with a panic in her voice.

Rainbow Dash is digging though the supplies and answers “No, we’re good, we can go now.” Twilight looks up from the clip board to get a head count. Rarity and Spike are loading saddle bags as Fluttershy is setting up a small cart with medical supplies. Twilight notes that Pinkie is looking at something off to the side of the pile of supplies.

“Yes, ever pony is here and we are ready to go look for you!” Pinkies say to the ground.

Twilight walk over to Pinkie and says “Pinkie, who are you talking to?”

“Applejack!” Pinkie says with a happy smile. Twilight looks around Pinkie and sees a small ball with the face of Applejack on the front. The small silver ball look like it had seen better days. The ball had numerous dents and some of the inside were falling out.

“Pinkie, this is no time to playing. We need to go get Applejack.” Twilight says with anger in her voice. That is when the ball spoke in Applejack’s voice. The voice gave a scare to Twilight causing her to drop the clip board.

“Twilight, is that you” Applejack says as her face leaning forward into the screen. Twilight takes a deep breath and rears up from the fright of the voice. All the other ponies run up to the two ponies who are talking to the silver ball.

“Applejack where are you and what is this thing?” Twilight says tapping the silver ball.

Alpha leans in to frame and says “be careful, the connection is bad we could lose you at any minute.”

”Who was that?” Twilight says with a surprised look on her face.

“That was Alpha, he was the monster” Applejack says looking at Alpha. “He save my life, when I got lost after the chase. The thing we are talking on is a probe that Alpha brought from space. Alpha and I are save on his space ship. We will try to make it back after the storm breaks. ” Applejack adds. Twilight sat in front of the silver ball in awe and shock as Applejack filled in the group on the weather. Applejack introduce that mares and Spike to Alpha one by one when Alpha leans back in to frame with a weird look on his face and says

“Pinkie what do you have in your hoofs?” Pinkie held up an object that looked like a spring and says “don’t know, it came off the ball when it came up to me.”

Alpha eyes grew wide when the spring came into view. “That is the power regulation spring, it must have come off when the probe came down the mountain” Alpha says with a concern in his voice. “Everypony is the ball starting to smoking and spark coming out of the top!” Alpha say turning to the keyboard and starts to type fast.

“Yes, is that a bad thing?” Dash says leaning back.

“The probe is going to explode; all of you must get away from the probe!” Alpha yells. As ponies and dragons scatter to flee the enviable explosion, the ball rolls toward the shield and rolls outside the shield. Two minutes later the probe explodes into pieces. The shield held most of the explosion and only some pieces fall to the ground around the ponies.  The ponies come out of cover and gather into a group.

“At least we know that Applejack is fine” Rarity says dusting herself off.

“Well it looks like we all have to stay here till the storm is over.” Twilight says kicking a piece of the probe.

“Applejack said that the storm would break by tomorrow morning” Spike says.

“Then we will camp out here till the storm breaks” Twilight says looking at the mountain in the distance.

“Signal is lost from probe” The computer says. Alpha and Applejack looked at the monitor filled with static and both began to panic.

“Are they okay?” Applejack says scare out of her mind.

“Computer, give me camera one two zero on monitor one.” Alpha says. The static on the monitor is replaced with the image of the mares and Spike all walking around and doing fine. Applejack and Alpha both give an exhale of relief when they see that all the ponies are fine.

“Can we still speak to them?” Applejack asks watching the monitor.

“No, the cameras are made to send signals not receive” Alpha says “and that was the last probe.” The lights in the room flickers and then all the monitors fill with static. “NO, NO, NO” Alpha keep repeating as he types frantically on the keyboard. Alpha in anger slams his paws on the table.

“Receiver is lost” the computer says with a crackle to the voice.

“We lost the antenna on the top of the ship. The storm must be gaining strength.” Alpha says. “This ship is falling apart pieces by pieces.” Alpha says thought clinched teeth. Alpha lays flat on his back, closes his eyes and exhales. When Alpha opens his eyes he is looking into Applejack’s big green eyes.

“So, what are we going to do for the next thirteen and halve hours” Applejack says.

Alpha say with a smile on his face “Well, are you hungry?”

Applejack and Alpha are sitting around the small table with tea and muffins. Alpha refills Applejack tea cup and offers her another strawberry muffin.

“No thank you sugercube, I’m stuff.”  Applejack says rubbing her stomach. “Strawberry muffins and strawberry-mint tea, you sure have a thing for strawberries” Applejack says taking a sip of tea.

Alpha lets out a little laugh and says “I was born on a fruit farm, strawberries were my favorite.”

Applejack laughs and says “Well, that answer the scent of strawberries and pine that fallowed me around”.

Alpha changing the subject says “would you like to hear some music?” Applejack with a smile on her face nodded yes. Alpha looked up at the ceiling and says “Computer, play waltz one zero”. Few seconds later a slow, clam waltz plays over the speaker in the room. Applejack eyes grew wide and the music played on.

“I know this song, I know this waltz.” Applejack says with a smile on her face. Alpha smiles and says

“May I have this dance my little cowpony?” Applejack mouth fell open and her heart fills up with joy.  Applejack sprung from her set and landed in Alpha’s forelegs.  As the two of them danced, Applejack danced with her head on Alpha shoulder. The song ended Applejack rapped forelegs around Alpha’s chest. Applejack looks into Alpha’s eyes and leans in for a kiss. Alpha leans away from Applejack and releases her from his hold. Alpha turns and looks at the front of the ship.

“What’s wrong, did I do something” Applejack says with a look of fear in her eyes.

“No, I just wish I was….” Alpha trails off and starts to walk to the work table. Alpha puts a paw on the hairless wolf’s head and looks at his reflection in the eyes of the wolf. Applejack walks up to Alpha and places a hoof on his shoulder.

“You just wish you were what, sugercube?” Applejack says looking at Alpha. “I wish I was” Alpha pause and finished with a quiet voice “A pony”. Applejack rapped her forelegs around Alpha’s neck and places her head agents his.

“It doesn’t matter to me” Applejack says in to Alpha’s ear.

Alpha turns his head and says “how would your friends and your world feel about a wolf at the door?” Alpha places his paw on Applejack’s faced and says “I have to tell you the truth and then see how you feel.” Alpha walks to the monitors and says “computer, show all video of all mare six.” The monitors fill with the images of all the ponies and the royal family. “I have been watching all of you. My mission is to assess the danger of this planet. If we can defeat you and if we can take over.” Applejack looked over the monitors and sees each moment the mare six were together.  From the moment Twilight Sparkle came to ponyville to the time the mare six came on the train to the crystal empire for this mission. “My planet is a technologic war base planet. We invalid planets to steal technology and enslave the inhabitance. When I saw your happy magic world, I knew I can’t let my world rune this. I and many of wolfs have been fighting to stop our government from doing this. I told my world that this is a dead planet and that there is no life.” Alpha says looking at the floor.

“How long have you watched us?”  Applejack asked.

“It would be equal to three of your apple growing seasons.” Alpha says.

“How long did it take to make the decision to tell you planet we were not here?” asked Applejack.

“Two days” Alpha says looking back up from the floor.

“You finished you mission, why didn't you go home?” Applejack asked.

Alpha sat down and said “I ran out of fuel to leave your planet. I asked for help from my planet, but they said that helping me would waste time. So, they left me to die on what they thought was a dead planet. I would be dead if the lie I told them was the truth. I been looking for crystallize that I can us in my reactor. ”

“What in tarnation is a crystallize?” Applejack asked.

“You call them gems” Alpha says. Alpha walk over to the work table and grabs a small box under the table. The box is filled with different kinds of gems. Alpha places the box in front of Applejack and says “all of the gem I find just don’t work.” Applejack pushes the box to the side and hugs Alpha. Applejack's feeling began to tear her apart.Applejack knew what she

must do.

“We will find the right gem and get you home.” Applejack says.

Alpha pushes Applejack away to look her in the eyes. “I don’t want to go home. I want to stay here” Alpha says and then brings Applejack back to a hug.

“Don’t you have family back home?” Applejack asks.

“No, I lost everyone.” Alpha says.

“I will need a few minutes to think thing though” Applejack says breaking the hug. Applejack looks at the monitors and asks “can I see sweet apple acres on these things?” Alpha steps around Applejack and to the small monitor on the table.

Alpha taps on the keyboard and says “all you have to do is tell the computer to call up anything that you can think of.” Alpha clear his throat and says “computer, give me all images of sweet apple acres.” The computer filled the monitors with all the images of the apple orchard, the barn and the house. The monitors filled with Images of Applebloom, big Mac and granny Smith. Applejack gave a happy smile as she looked at the images of her home. “You should give at try” Alpha says.

Applejack gives it a though and says “Computer, give me images of Rainbow Dash.” The computer filled the monitors with Rainbow Dash clearing the sky of cloud, and her practicing her flying. Most of the monitors were filled with Dash sleeping in trees or on a cloud.

“She sure sleeps a lot for active pony.” Alpha says with a smile on his face. “After my planet gave up on me I would watch all of you to keep for losing my mind. All of your adventures and your normal lives I watched to keep the loneliness from creeping in.” Alpha says. “I have to fix something in the engine room. I will be right back. Go on have fun.” Alpha says leaving Applejack to it. Alpha walks to the kitchen and walked down the stairs.

Alpha returned to the flight deck with a small wood box in teeth. Alpha places the wood box on the counter in the kitchen. Alpha walks into the open area and sees Applejack sitting and looking at something on the small table. The monitors were filled with images of Applejack. As Alpha came closer to the monitors he sees that the images are of Applejack’s most private moments. There are images of Applejack holding Winona out in the orchard crying. There are others images of Applejack singing in the bathtub. The middle monitor had the image of Applejack up in the attic of the main house dressed in a beautiful dress looking at herself in a mirror. Applejack had a yellow flower made of gems behind her ear. Alpha walk up beside Applejack and he can see she is crying.

Applejack looks up and says “It was you that left it.” Applejack pick up a yellow flower made of gems on the table and throws it at Alpha.

“I don’t know what you are talking about” Alpha says with confused look on his face.

“I saw how you little silver ball left it on my doorstep.” Applejack says standing up and stepping away from Alpha. Applejack looking at the monitors says “computer, bring up file one-zero-zero.” The middle monitor shows a shot of the front door of the main house at sweet apple archers. In a few minutes a probe rolls up and places a flower on the doorstep and leaves. The next moment the door opens and Applejack step out and find the flower. Applejack looks side to side as if she is looking for the giver of the flower.  Applejack picks up the flower and places the flower in her hat.

“I see you figure out my filing system” Alpha says trying to change the mood.

“I thought some pony gave me that flower on my birthday because that they loved me.”  Applejack says thought chinch teeth.

“I’m sorry I’m not a pony.” Alpha says looking at the floor. Applejack ran over to Alpha and gives him a hard push. Alpha loses his balance and falls to the ground.

“NO, the problem is not that you not a pony. The problem is you didn’t give me the flower yourself. I looked for months for the pony that give me that flower.” Applejack says fighting back the tears. Applejack runs off to the other side of the room and leans on the air lock door. Tears flow down Applejack face as she pounds her hoof on the door.

Alpha stood back up and says “I sent the probe because I didn’t what to scare you.” Alpha started to walk towed Applejack with his ears back and head low to the ground.

“Was this a game or was this a joke to you?” Applejack asks leaning into the door.

Alpha stand only a few steps away from Applejack when he says “That wasn’t meant to hurt you or tease. I just wanted to make you smile and give you hope that love is out there for you. I wanted to make your life as happy as you make me fell when I just see you.”

Applejack turned to say something when her hoof hit the door open leaver. The door whips open and sends Applejack tumbling out the door. Applejack rolls down the snowy hill and comes to a stop ten feet away from the door. Applejack stands up and shakes her head.  Alpha is now standing at the door looking out at Applejack. Alpha can just see her though the falling snow. Alpha looks up at the top of the door and sees the red light is on above the door.

“Applejack, don’t move” Alpha yell out the door. Applejack can’t hear Alpha because of the howling wind and take a step to hear what he said. Applejack hoof lands on a small plate under the snow. The plate sinks under the snow and set off an alarm. Two large cylinders pop out of the ground and guns flop out of them.  Alpha was typing on a key pad on the door frame when the alarm causes him to bolt out the door at Applejack. Alpha leaps at Applejack knocking her to the ground and the two slides behind a snow mound.  The two cylinders open fire over their heads and don’t stop until they are empty.

Applejack shaking in fear asks “what was that?”

Alpha looking over the snow mound to see if the guns have stop says “That my dear pony is the security system and what you step on was the trigger.” Alpha grabs Applejack’s hat off the ground and places on Applejack’s head. “I will need you to jump on my back so I can carry you over the triggers. We will finish our original conversation in the ship. I need to tell you the other reason why I didn’t just go see you and give you that flower.” Alpha says turning around and laying down so Applejack can get on him.

Applejack starts to get on Alpha’s back, but stop to ask “why not now?”

Alpha turns his head to look at Applejack and says “because it is too cold out here and the storm is still going on.”

Applejack says “your right” and jumps on Alpha’s back.

Inside the ship Alpha closes the air lock door and carries Applejack to the bed. Applejack jump off Alpha’s back on to the bed. Alpha grabs a blanket and raps it around Applejack.

“I will tell you the other reason I didn’t give the flower to you in the flesh. If you promise me you will not try to get yourself killed anymore. The whole damsel in distress is very romantic and cute, but I fear one of us will get hurt.” Alpha says with a smile.

Applejack smiled back and says “I promise not to get us killed. So, why didn’t give the flower to me in the flesh?” Alpha rear back and placed his paw on both of Applejack’s shoulders and gave a lite rub.

Alpha leans in close to Applejack and says “I was scared of you and your friends.”

A look of confusion crosses Applejack’s face as she says” why would you be scared of us.”

Alpha looks in to Applejack’s eyes and says “You don’t see how powerful you ponies really are. If you came to my world and told me unicorn, dragons, Pegasus, and magic were real. I call you crazy and tell you to stop reading fairy tales. The first day I came to your planet I saw only earth ponies. When I came to your empire is when I was introduced to the other inhabitants of your world.” Alpha sat down on the bed next to Applejack. “Your world is more based in magic and that alone is more powerful than any piece of tech.  I feared my world would not work in your world and I wasn’t a pony I was a big scary wolf. So, I thought I could befriend one pony and show you that I wasn’t here to hurt you. Maybe you could help me befriend the rest of the other ponies.” Alpha says rubbing Applejack’s back.  “I even build a suit that would fit a pony. I made it to show you that I’m not a threat. That I’m here to help. ” Alpha grabs a small remote off the night stand. Alpha points the remote at the work table. On the left of the work table a small platform raises up with the pony shape suit. “I’m missing some parts, but in time I can make the parts or use my suit.” Alpha says with the look of hope in his eyes.

Applejack takes the remote from Alpha and places it on the night stand. Applejack turns to look at Alpha and says “So, you give me the flower to befriend me, not to be romantically involved with me.”

Alpha looked away from Applejack and looked down at the blanket that he has been pawing at. “No, not at first” Alpha says trailing off at the end. Applejack didn’t hear what Alpha said at the end, but the word no ring in her head.

“I understand if you don’t like me that way.” Applejack says looking away from Alpha to cover up that she is going to cry. Alpha walks in to the kitchen and grabs the wood box he retrieved for the basement. Alpha places the wood box in front of Applejack and opens it. Inside of the box was a rose made of gems. Alpha reaches out and turns Applejack’s head back to look her in the eye.

“At first I just need a friend, but I found some pony to love. I made this for your next birthday, but I thought you would like it now.” Alpha says leaning in close to Applejack. Applejack’s eyes grew wide and her mouth fell open when she sees the rose.

“This is a lot to take in” Applejack closing the box and placing the box on the night stand. Applejack moved a little closer to Alpha.

“You need to rest, ley down and get some sleep to clear your mind” Alpha says tipping his head for a kiss. Applejack lifts up a hoof and places it on Alpha’s cheek and tips her head in the opposite direction of Alpha’s head.

Applejack turns and looks away and says “this is happening too fast. I need time to….” Applejack trails off, grabs a pillow, and hugs it.

“Your right, you should sleep. I’m going to lie down on the floor if you need me.” Alpha says hopping on to the floor and grabs a blanket from the foot of the bed. Applejack turns to place the pillow down and place her head on it when she sees something that was under the pillow. Hiding under the pillow was a small plush animal. The plush animal looks just like Applejack, even down to the little matching hat. Applejack picks up the plush animal and holds it out to look at it.

“It looks like me” Applejack says unsure what to do. Alpha was laying out the blanket when his head whips around and stares in horror. Alpha grabs the doll from Applejack and hides it under his blanket.

“That was something to keep me company when I was alone. I needed to hold on to something, to keep my mind off the lonelness.” Alpha says walking over to the side of the bed.

“Why me?” Applejack asks Alpha had a look admiration as he tried to find the words to express what he was feeling. Applejack sat anticipation hoping for the words she wanted to hear come from him.

“I just saw you and I felt close to you. It’s something about your eyes and how honest they look.” Alpha says.

“How honest my eyes looked” Applejack says egging Alpha to say those words she need to hear.

Alpha lays down on the floor facing away for Applejack and says “you should get some sleep.” Applejack flops down on the bed and turns away from Alpha with tears in her eyes.

Applejack had fallen asleep when she was woken by a funny sound coming from the floor. Applejack rolled over and looked over the edge of the bed to see Alpha on the floor. Alpha was having a nightmare, and was talking in his sleep.

“No, don’t leave” Alpha mumbles out as he rolls over. Applejack jumps off of the bed and walks over to Alpha. She places her hoof on his head.

“Shush, I’m right here. I won’t leave you.” Applejack says rubbing behind his ear. Alpha seamed to calm down as he takes a breath. Alpha let the breath he had taken out slowly and began to relax. Applejack sees the little plush doll and places next to Alpha’s neck.

Alpha gives the small doll a hug and says “I love you Applejack.” Applejack eyes fill with tears and jumps on Alpha. Alpha wakes with a fright and stares wide eyed out at the dark room.

“What happened, what wrong?” Alpha says breathing heavy.

“Nothing wrong” Applejack says giving Alpha a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

“I just wanted you to just say it. I just wanted make sure that you really…… ” Applejack says breaking the hug and looking in the eyes of Alpha.

“Say what?” Alpha says trying to shake the sleepy feeling.

“You love me” Applejack says leaning in for a kiss. Applejack was but a few millimeters from her lips landing on Alpha’s lips when alarm ring out of the speakers.

“The boiler” Alpha says scrambling to his feet and running towed the kitchen. Applejack is in hot pursuit to keep up with Alpha running down the stairs. Alpha can see that a pipe has broken open and is spraying water all over the room. Alpha grabs a wrench and run over to a valve to turn off the water. Applejack runs in to the room and can see Alpha standing on a pipe to reach the valve.

“Do you need help with that?” Applejack calls out to Alpha.

“No, I need you to turn off the valve to your right” Alpha calls out. Applejack shut off the valve and the water stops spraying the room.

Applejack looks up at Alpha with a smile and says “water is off”.

Alpha smiles back, when a large bang rips though the room and the room fills with steam. Applejack can’t see anything in the room when she feels a push in a direction.

“Head to the stairs, it this way” Applejack can hear Alpha but, can’t see him. Applejack kicks the first step of the stairs and beings to starts up. When Applejack reaches the top of the stairs, she regains her sight and looks around for Alpha. Alpha was leaning against the kitchen cabinets and holding his right back leg off the ground. The leg was cover by blood and a large cut ran down the leg. Applejack grabs a towel off the counter and places it on the wound.

“What happen in there?” Applejack asks as she applies pressure to the wound.

“The boiler ran low on water when the pipe broke. I should shut the boiler down first but, we would freeze before I could fix the pipe. Water must have been sitting in the return pipe. The boiler is trashed, there no way to fix it.” Alpha says reeling in pain.

“Do you have a med kit in here?” Applejack says looking around the room.

“Yes, top cabinet all the way in the back.” Alpha says lying on his side on the floor. Applejack takes the med kit down and begins to patch Alpha’s leg.

“I having trouble stopping the bleeding” Applejack says looking in the med kit. As Applejack searched the med kit and Alpha was trying to hold a compress on the wound there was a bang sound from the lower level. Then the lights went out and the two were plunged into darkness.

Alpha looks up at the lights and says “oh on, the main power supply must have got wet. That means that the shield that holds in the heat is gone.”

Applejack reaches out in the darkness and looks for Alpha. “I can’t see anything; I can’t help you in the dark.” Applejack says as she finds Alpha and brings him close.

“I have something to help see” Alpha says standing up and limping to a drawer. Alpha opens the drawer, grabs a glow stick, and breaks it on the counter. Alpha hands the glow stick to Applejack and grabs a four more out of the drawer.

“I think we have four to five hours before the temp in here reaches freezing.” Alpha says. Alpha limps to the bed, places the glow sticks on the night stand, and lies down. Applejack fallows Alpha to the bed and stands next to the bed.

“We have eight to nine hours before the storm passes and the sun come up.” Alpha says. Applejack crawls into bed with Alpha and throws a blanket over them.

Applejack says “Then we will huddle together till the sun comes up.” Alpha gives Applejack a hug and kisses her on the forehead. “I wish we were at sweet apple acres” Applejack says as she places her head against Alpha’s chest.

“I don’t care where we are as long as I am with you and it warm.” Alpha says. The two held each other till Applejack fell asleep.

Applejack awoke to see Alpha limping around the work table. Alpha leg was still bleeding, but not as bad as before. Applejack notices that she is standing and tried to take a step toward Alpha. Applejack finds she seem to be glued to the floor. AJ is in the suit Alpha made for a pony and can’t move a muscle.

“Alpha, what’s going on” Applejack says in an angry voice.

“OH good, you are awake. You are one heavy sleeper.” Alpha says with a weak voice “I fix the suit using the parts from my suit” Alpha says loading a saddle bag with AJ thing. The temperature in ship had drop to unbearable conditions. “I locked the suit so you can’t move till I say so. The storm has not broking up yet and the sun is up. You are going to go down the mountain without me” Alpha says shivering from the cold air in the room. “The suit is set to run down in auto so I need you to just go with the movement of the suit. If you fight the suit, it will take longer for you to get to the city.” Alpha says placing the saddle bag on Applejack’s back. Alpha removes Applejack hat and places into the saddle bag. Applejack is squirming in the suit trying her best to free herself.

“Let me out of this thing. I’m staying here with you.” Applejack says. “I not going to lose you like this” she says with tears in her eyes. Alpha places the small wood box in the saddle bag. Alpha places his paw on each side of Applejack face to get her attention.

“You are going to make it if you just leave me.” Alpha says with a focused voice. Alpha is visible drained and is losing consensus.

Applejack pleads with Alpha “I can carry you down the mountain. I can save you this time.”

Alpha press his check agents Applejack’s check and says “No, you will be slow down by me. You could wear down the battery too fast. You don’t have that much power left.” Alpha move up close to Applejack’s ear and whispers “When the darkness fall and the monster come out to feast. There are three kinds of ponies personalities will manage. The first pony will curse the loss of the light and fall down and wait for the light to return. The monster will come and eat them.  The second pony will let the fear consume them. They will fall down and cry. The monster will come and eat them.” Alpha moved to look into the big green eyes he fell in love with. “I fell in love with you the first time saw you, and every minute I’m with you I fall deeper in love with you. I will always love you.” Alpha says as tears stream down his face.

“I love you too, let me stay with you, please” Applejack says thought the tears. Alpha picked up the helmet to the suit.

“You know what the last pony personality is?” Alpha asks.

Applejack takes a deep breath and asks “What is the last pony personality?” Alpha leans into Applejack and kiss Applejack with a passion only reserved for star crossed lovers. Alpha breaks the kiss and looks into Applejack’s eyes.

”The last pony personality puts the helmet on and go finds the light.” Alpha says. Alpha places the helmet on Applejack’s head turns it to lock it. Alpha then look into the eyes of the suit and says “execute”.  The suit comes to life, spins around, and walks to the door. As the suit opens door Applejack can see that Alpha is lying on the floor. Before Applejack can do or says anything the suit bolts out the door. The suit’s heads-up display locks in to the power signature of the city and heads to it. Applejack has been fighting the suit since she left the ship, and all the while yelling and curing the suit. After a few minutes Applejack relaxes and let the suit lead her to her friends.

Applejack notice the suit is making her run faster than Rainbow Dash can fly. Applejack sees a deep chasm in front of her and tries to avoid it but the suit just runs straight for it. Applejack feels the suit bend at the knees and leaps the chasm in one leap. Applejack land on the other side and the suit keeps running as if nothing happened.  In a matter of minutes she can see the shield off in the distance. Applejack sees the shield and pushes the suit to run faster.  Applejack is running at full speed when she breaks though the shield.  The suit’s head-up display is lock on to a small group of tents and heads in that direction. Applejack feels the suit slow down and come to a stop in the middle of the camp. A small speaker in the helmet says “target reached, releasing pilot”. The suit opens like a clam’s shell and the speaker in the suit says “please exit suit for rest to accrue.”

Fluttershy was curled up in her sleeping bag when she feels something garb her leg. Fluttershy found herself being dragged out of her tent and across the camp site. Fluttershy’s screaming wakes the rest of the group and brings ponies out of their tents. Twilight Sparkle looks out of her tent and sees Applejack on top of Fluttershy. Applejack has a crazy look in her eyes and is yelling at Fluttershy. “You have to come with me before he dies! I have to save him, he up there all alone!” Applejack says crying and breathing heavy. Twilight and Rainbow Dash pull Applejack off of Fluttershy and hold her to the ground.

“Applejack, what are you doing! You are scaring Fluttershy and you are acting crazy!” Rainbow Dash says looking into Applejack’s eyes that were filled with fear and tears.

“What is the matter, what happened up there?” Twilight asks holding Applejack’s head.

“Alpha is hurt and he needs medical help. I need to get Fluttershy up there and save him like he saved me. Alpha was lying on the floor and I need get up there NOW!” Applejack is screaming at the top of her lungs.

Applejack friends get her up and reassure her that she will save Alpha. Applejack gave a description of the location of the ship to Twilight. Twilight was able to find the location on a map she had.

“We will bring the cart of supplies and we will be there in halve a day. We all can pull the cart, so the snow won’t be a problem.” Twilight says looking up from the map. Applejack is pushing the group of ponies toward the cart and starts to walk to the suit.

“You all get in the cart and I will pull the cart” Applejack says stepping into the boots of the suit. The suit closes up and the heads-up display lights up.

“System is ready, power at thirty percent power available till system shut down. Dentation or use is needed to proceed.” The computer voice says.

Applejack take a deep breath says “I need to save Alpha”. The computer gives the location of Alpha and a list of supplies needed to save his life in each corner of the head-up display.

“Would you like a free movement in the suit?” the computer asks Applejack.

Applejack says “yes” with the aggressive look on her face. All of the ponies had already had step in to the cart and sat down. Rainbow Dash looking at the front of the cart notices Applejack is not hook up to the cart yet.

“I can help hook up AJ to the cart.” Rainbow Dash says stepping over the edge of the cart. Rainbow Dash feels a hoof push her back into the cart.

Applejack say “no time, I got it”. Applejack moving faster than any pony can see, she hooks up the cart and set herself to run. “Everypony hold on this is going to be quick!” Applejack says tears off toward the shield. Rainbow Dash pops upright and looks to the front of the cart.

Rainbow Dash can see Applejack is running at break neck speeds and is moving thought the snow without any trouble. As Dash looks back to see if her friends are save and see that all of them are huddle together with the look of fear on their faces.

Twilight can barely catch her breath to say “Applejack slow down!”

Dash yells back to Twilight “she got this under control”. “You keep going Applejack you’re doing great!” Dash yells up to Applejack and gives out a “Whoa”. The snow storm had stop and sky began to clear as Applejack close in on the ship that held her love. The computer informs AJ that the suit has only a short time before battery power will be gone. Applejack pushes the suit to the full extent as she sees the ship on the horizon.

The rest of the group shuck off the ride of their live and gather supplies. Applejack had made her way to the ship entrance to open the door. Applejack found that the door to the ship to be open. Applejack flew into the ship calling Alpha’s name in a panic state. As she looked around, room looked nothing as she remembered. The monitors in the middle of the room were gone and so was everything she remembered. A small stove sat in the corner and a small bed is near it. This is the only things that were inside. Everything Applejack laid her eyes on was nothing she has seen before. Applejack heart sank and her mind began to reel as she stood in horror.

“Did we come to the wrong place? Maybe we ….” Applejack tries to come up with a good reason for what she was seeing. As she ponders the questions in her mind, the suit popped open. Applejack fell and land on the ground in front of the suite.

The speaker in the suite ring out “power failure” and the lights in the suite turn off. Just then, she hears laughter outside of the ship.  She runs to the door and looks out to see her friends and Princess Luna.

“My dear friends” Princess Luna call out as she hugs the ponies.

“What bring you here, Princess?” Twilight asks.

“We are sorry for the deception, but it is very hard to plan a party and keep the great mare six from learning about it.” The Princess answers. Applejack walks up to the group in shock. She stood on the outside of the group of ponies, lessening to the princess. “We wanted to though all of thee a party to thank thee for saving the empire. To do that we needed to keep thy all busy to finish our perpetrations. We hope you are not anger about our deception.” The princess says with a small smile.

“No, we are happy that you wanted to make this party a secret.” Twilight says giving the princess a hug.

Applejack can see the princess is lying and this sends her in to a rage. “Where is Alpha? What did you do with him? You are a lying little witch!” Applejack says pushing though the group to attack the princess. Applejack stubbles trying to get to the princess and falls to the ground.

The princess reaches down and picks Applejack up to hold her close. “Play along and I will fill you in later. Alpha is safe with my guards.” The princess whisper into Applejack’s ear.  Applejack looks into Luna’s eyes and can see sadness and fear. The princess turns to the group and blurts out “It seems that our Applejack can’t let go of her part in this.” Luna helps Applejack back to her hoofs. “You can let the act go, we thank thee for they help. You are a true friend helping me do this” says the princess as she places a hoof on Applejack shoulder. The look in the princess’ eyes seems to plead for help as she looks at Applejack. Applejack began to panic as she looks at the rest of the group. She knows that she can’t lie to them without the group knowing she is lying. Applejack heart began to race and she feels faint. This gave Applejack an idea to get out of the moment. She left a foreleg to her head and in true Rarity style pulls a fake fainting spell. Out of luck, the rest of the group has taken the ruse and ran over to help their friend.

“Applejack what is wrong!” Rarity yells out.

“I have just been at this too long. I have to get some rest, that’s all.” Applejack says giving the princess a quick look before making it look like she pasted out.

Applejack had made the lie real by lying in the cart so her friend can transport her to the medical building. With in a hour, Applejack was placed in a room to rest. Princess Luna tells the group “Thee should get ready for the party, Princess Cadance will help thee with getting ready. Applejack needs her rest and we shall watch over her.” Princess Luna says as she ushers the group out. When all of the ponies left the room, Luna turns her to speak to Applejack.  Luna leans in close to Applejack so only she could hear her. Luna whisper into Applejack’s ear “I know you would like to see Alpha, but we need to talk about him being on this planet.”

Applejack eyes grow wide and asks Luna “How do you know his not from here?” Luna bit her lip and could not look at Applejack.

When Luna found the courage to look back, her eyes were filled with tears. “My sister knows a great many things. One of them is that our world is not the only place that has life.”  Luna says with a tremble to her voice. Applejack move to give a hug to Luna, but Luna move away. Luna has begun to shiver as if she is cold. “I must tell you the truth, I know of your dreams. I change them so you would see Alpha as a pony.” Luna says as she begins to cry.

Applejack’s mouth is open wide as she asks “Why would you do that?” Luna’s knees buckled out from under her and she fell to the floor.

Applejack jump off of the bed and held Luna in a hug. Luna holds Applejack and cries as she tells Applejack “I try to force my sister to deal with her need to love some pony. I was in love like you are now, but my sister taken that away. She wanted me to rule with her, but that means we both can’t get married. That is the rule of being a Princess that were lay down by our mother. So, she turns my love into stone to force me to stay with her. That sent me into a rage. I didn’t want to raise the moon and the stars. I wanted the fall in love and get married. I use my powers to become Nightmare Moon and that why my sister sent me to the moon.” Luna exhales as if a great burden was lifted from her shoulders.

“Why was it important for me to fall in love with Alpha? Why would makes any difference?” Applejack asks lifting Luna’s head, so she can dry her tears.

“I needed you to fall in love so you would leave group and break the element of harmony. My sister needs you to change Twilight in to an alicorn. She wanted her to change so she will rule with her and remove me from power.” Luna tells Applejack as the two stood up from the floor. “I was going to hold you leaving over my sister head, so she would release my love from the stone.” Luna says as the both of them sit on the bed.

“Princess Celestia should be able to run the world without you. Why would it matter if you were there to help?” Applejack asks as rubs Luna’s shoulder.

Luna looks away from Applejack’s gaze and with a shame to her voice says “My sister is in love with Twilight Sparkle. She wanted to just raise Twilight, but her infatuation is reached insane levels.”

A voice coming from the other side of a cubicle curtain declares “How insane dear sister?” The curtain slides slowly to one side revealing Princess Celestia angry looking face. Applejack eyes grow wide as Princess Celestia stood over the two with a disapproval feel to her stands. Celestia lean down to look the two in the eye.

Celestia asks Luna "How much did you tell her?"

Luna looks at the floor and says "everything".

Celestia clinch her teeth and close her eyes. “I said to erase her memory. Not to fill her in to all my plans!” Princess Celestia says to Luna as she pulls her off the bed. “Applejack, I need you to understand that my daring little sister erratic behavior is one of the reasons why she need to step down.” Princess Celestia says to Applejack as she places a hoof on her face. Princess Celestia was at an unusual stands when the gem on her chest plate caches the light from the window. The glimmer from the stone stops Applejack heart.

“It was you that was in my dream! You were the black cloaked figure!” Applejack yelled out so loud that the whole hospital could hear.

Princess Celestia horn lite up and a glow surrounded Applejack's mouth. Applejack felt her mouth slam shut and her jaw lock. Applejack place her hoofs on her mouth trying to open it with no luck. Applejack reached out at Celestia to grab her, but her own tail raps around her hoofs. Applejack flop flat on the bed and was unable to move as the Celestia leans down to talk to her.

"Applejack, I really trying to work with you, but your being more trouble that you are worth. If you don't calm down I might have to remove you from my plans." Applejack eyes held an anger that could match a raging bull's eyes as she looked up at the Princess. "Luna, erase her memory and I will find a dress to put her in. We will bring her to the party to make it looks as if everything as not changed." Celestia says as she turns to leave the room. Luna walk up to Applejack and with a sad look tips her head down. Applejack struggled to escape her tail when she see Luna's horn light up. Applejack close her eyes and tried not to cry when she hears Luna voice.

"Good, she left." Luna says in a whisper in Applejack ear. Applejack open her eyes and sees Luna still close to her head with her horn still lite. Luna look Applejack in her eyes and says "I'm going to knock you out and put you into a trance. I will tell my sister that you will be easier to work with under a trance. When I remove the trance you will be at the party. You must play along with what ever happens. I will get Alpha and we all will find a way to fix the mess my sister has got herself into. Just remember, You must act like you can't remember anything after the flower pot chase. I fixed the other ponies memory, so they remember you getting hit by the pot and you ending up in the hospital. What ever you do don't says a word about Alpha, or anything about Celestia's plans." Applejack sees the princess horn brighten and everything fades to black.
