It was a dark and stormy night when I left the city of canterlot. I had been there for a week at the orphanage giving to the little fillies and colts who had no parents. I didn't charge the orphanage anything because if there is one thing I love to do it is make ponies happy with gifts. As I was walking past a forest I heard what sounded like a little filly. At first I thought It was my mind playing tricks on me because I hadn't slept all week. but that theory soon flew out the window when I heard with out a doubt a little filly screaming.
"HELP ME IM STUCK!!!"
At that point I knew they were real and in real trouble. So I asked. "Where are you?"
"BELOW YOU AND TO THE LEFT!!!"
I looked down to my left and sure enough there was a little filly. She was a unicorn with green eyes, a white coat, and a pink and periwinkle mane and tail that seemed to have a natural curve. She also had no cutie mark. She was trapped under a tree branch I didn't wait to think how she got stuck under there I saw she was hurt and bleeding so I unhooked myself from my wagon and went over and removed the branch from atop her body. Then I very carefully lifted her up with magic and took her into my wagon.
While I was getting some bandages and rubbing alcohol ready she spoke. "W-w-what are you going to do to me?" I just laughed.
"Nothing. But hold still this will sting." Before she could ask what meant I had put the rubbing alcohol on the wound so to stop any infection from starting. After I cleaned the wound I used some cloth to bandage it. "There do you feel alright?" She nodded. "Good! Now what's your name, and why were you trapped under that branch?"
she looked scared for a second then she decided to answer my question. "M-my name is Sweetie Bell. I got caught in the storm before I made it back to my sisters house and the tree branch fell on me. Who are you?"
While she was telling me what had happened I was working. I only had to do one thing before I was finished with the work. I walked over to a small chest chock full of gemstones and took out two small emeralds. I put them on what I had been working on and attached them with magic. "I am Patchwork. Now this might sound strange but your going to have to stay here for tonight."
"No! I cant rarity will be worried sick about me! What are you hiding behind you!?"
"I will explain what happened to miss rarity in the morning. As for what I have behind me." I pulled out the doll I had made while she was telling me what happened. It looked like a smaller version of Sweetie Bell.
Her jaw dropped "D-did you make that? it looks just like me."
"Yes I did make it and I was trying to make it look like you. looks like I did a good job huh?" She didn't speak she just nodded her head. "Do you want it?"
She nodded once again. "Well yes, but I don't have any bits."
I laughed and levitated the doll over to her. "If you keep me company tonight you can have it for free."
"Ok." Then we heard the clock tower from town struck midnight.
"You should rest. You can have my bed and I wont take no as an answer." She nodded climbed into my bed and I tucked her in. she fell asleep soon afterwards. I however did not sleep that night. It is not because I need a bed to sleep nor because I was not tired, I was very tired. I stayed awake and kept making toys. Toy trains, dolls, doll houses, stuffed animals, yo-yo's, and many more I worked until Celestia's sun rose above the town of ponyville.

~At the Carousel Boutique~
A white unicorn mare with a cutie mark of three sky blue diamonds was crying into a pillow, her purple mane disheveled and her face stained by tears. Around her were five other mares and two fillies. The first was a unicorn just like her, her mane was a deep dark purple with a pink stripe in the middle, her coat was lavender and her cutie mark was that of a pink starburst with five smaller white stars around it. The next was a butter yellow Pegasus with a pink mane that had a curl at the end, her cutie mark was three pink butterflies. The next mare was also a Pegasus her coat was cyan blue and her mane was every color of the rainbow, her cutie mark was that of a white cloud with a red yellow and blue lightning bolt coming out of it. the next was a pink earth pony her mane was fluffy like cotton candy and a darker shade of pike than her fur, her cutie mark was three balloons two blue one yellow. The final mare was also an earth pony she had an orange coat and a blond mane tied back into a pony tail she was wearing a Stetson, her cutie mark was that of three red apples. The first filly was a earth pony she was light yellow and had a red mane with a bow, she had yet to find her cutie mark. The final pony was a orange Pegasus filly with a fuchsia mane, she too had yet to find her special talent.
After a long time sobbing the crying mare finally spoke up. "Oh girls! what am I going to do!? Me and Sweetie Bell had an argument yesterday before she ran out after yelling that she never wanted to see me again! She hasn't come home! She could be lost or hurt or worse! I'm a terrible big sister!"
The lavender put her hoof on the white ones shoulder. "Rarity I'm sure Sweetie Bell is fine."
Then the yellow Pegasus spoke up "I agree with Twilight. Rarity she's fine nopony would ever hurt a filly like Sweetie Bell, isn't that right Rainbow Dash?"
The cyan Pegasus responded by saying. "Yeah and if anypony has hurt her me and applejack will show them how big a mistake they made."
The Stetson wearing pony responded "Darn right we will!"
The young Pegasus spoke next "Sweetie Bell is loyal she would never run away! Isn't that right Apple Bloom?"
"That's right Scootaloo she would never leave her friends or family!"
A hyperactive voice came from the pink pony. "Whoa that's a new one it felt like my heart just exploded!" Then her face grew a wide smile "There's a new pony in town!" Her teeth started chattering "He has Sweetie Bell, and she's hurt!" Next she ran to the window "He's right outside!"
All the other ponies in the room said only one word. "WHAT!!!" and ran out the door.
~In front of the Carousel Boutique~
Patchwork whistled "so this is were your sister lives?"
"Uh huh" Sweetie said from within the wagon.
"Well we better get you to her!" As he unhitched himself from the wagon he was bucked in the side by a orange earth pony and he heard some of his bones break. Then he was tackled by a cyan Pegasus who punched and broke his muzzle. Then he was picked up by a white unicorns magic. He saw her and asked "Are you Rarity?"
She gave him a death glare and said "Yes! I am Rarity! Where is Sweetie Bell?" He weakly pointed a hoof at his wagon.
"In the back..." He said after which he was dropped on his head.
Rarity ran to the back of the wagon expecting the worst. What she found shocked her. Sweetie Bell was sleeping in the corner, she had a bandage on her side, but the strangest thing was the doll, she was cuddling with a doll that looked exactly like her. Rarity looked around and saw paint, brushes, saws, hammers, timber, wool, fabric, needles, and thread. She shook of the coat of dust that was on her fur and walked over to Sweetie Bell. She raised her hoof and tapped her. "Sweetie its time to wake up." The little fillies eyes fluttered open.
"Hey Rarity! Y-your not mad at me are you?"
Rarity hugged her little sister. "Of course I'm not mad at you, I'm just glad your safe."
"Rarity look what Mister Patch did for me he made me this doll!"
Rarity blinked. "Who?"
"Mister Patch was the colt pulling the cart he saved my life. A timber wolf was walking up to me and was about to eat me and then he came out of no where and scared the wolf off. Then he put some medicine on the cut I got and bandaged it up. Then he made me this doll, it looks just like me doesn't it?"
A ruckus came from outside and the two sister went outside to see what happened. Rarity was shocked to find her friends held on the ground and Patchwork surrounded by a group of all kinds of creatures, there were three drakes (teenage dragons), a black Pegasus who's cutie mark was a hoof breaking a boulder, a old green earth pony stallion who's cutie mark was a sword, a changeling, and a griffon, then they saw Rarity and they all ran away into the Everfree forest. Rarity's friends got up off the ground and were about to start attacking Patchwork again, but when they saw her and Sweetie Bell they stopped and walked over. Then to their amazement Patch work who had a broken muzzle and at least to broken ribs walked over to them and spoke.
"I think we got off on the wrong hoof lets try again shall we? I am Patchwork and you are?"
One by one they introduced themselves. Except Fluttershy who was wondering if he would be ok and Twilight who was wondering how he was walking around with those injuries like they were nothing.
"Oh um are you ok...? That is if you don't mind me asking."
He looked at Fluttershy. "I am quite alright miss...?"
"Um Fluttershy."
He nodded "I am quite alright miss Fluttershy"
"Um excuse me! I'm Twilight Sparkle. How are you just acting like those broken ribs and your muzzle don't hurt?"
"Simple Miss Sparkle. I can do this!" His horn began to glow as well as his chest and the mares all heard his bones shifting back into place. His muzzle returned to its proper position and they heard his bones fixing themselves. Then he smiled. "Who's next?"
Pinkie came next "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! Your new here which means you don't have any friends and that must mean under that smile your very sad and I don't like it when ponies are sad so I'm going to throw a party for you so you can make friends!" She gasped and took off leaving only a cloud of pink dust.
Patchwork blinked. "Huh? What just happened? The only things I heard were 'Pinkie Pie' and 'party'. Also how did she do that?"
The remaining five mares responded "It's just Pinkie being Pinkie."
AJ spoke next "I'm Applejack I run sweet apple acres with my family, my granny Granny Smith and brother Big Mac"
He looked at her and said "The niece of Tropicana and Mandarin orange?"
Her eyes went wide "Y-yeah! How do you know about that?"
"I met them before."
"Ok then."
'Well more like robbed them than met them' Patch thought.
Patch turned to the last mare who he had yet to learn the name of. "And you are?"
The mare put on a cocky grin "Rainbow Dash! Fastest flyer in Equestria and future wonder bolt!"
Patch snickered "I can get you into the wonder bolts if your fast enough! Spitfire owes me a favor and so does Soarin."
"WHAT!? How!? No way how do they both owe you a favor!?"
Patches face turned into a frown. "I don't reveal details ever!" He looked at all the mares and smiled once more. "Could you point me in the direction of the town orphanage? I would be very thankful."
Twilight looked at him with a confused face. "Why do you want to know that?"
"Orphans who have no families have no happiness. I am going to give them some toys. to try and brighten up their days, and I'm not a greedy pony who is going to charge orphans for the toys."
"Well its the old rundown mansion at the edge of town."
Patch frowned at that. "Run...down? Well thank you for telling me I might as well start getting a move on oh but before I go." His horn started to glow and fabric, cotton, needles, and thread started to stitch together, and soon he had six dolls levitating in front of him. He gave each mare one and then teleported pinkie back to the group and gave her the last one. The dolls looked just like the mares he gave them to. It was strange but they felt a sense of safety from the dolls. When they looked up to ask him why he made dolls of them, he was gone, as was his wagon.
~Three Hours Later: At the Orphanage~
Patch had just finished making a doll of each filly and colt at the orphanage they were all in their beds asleep holding their new toys.
Miss White Sun the orphanage director walked up to Patch. "Thank you for what you have done I haven't seen all the foals smile like that in years. If you don't mind me asking though. Why did you do this?"
He looked at her with a mix of a frown and a smile "I grew up in an orphanage. I know the pain they feel. I just wanted to make them happy." He looked at her. "Now about the bits."
She frowned. "I thought you said you were not going to charge us. I cant pay for all the materials I am barley keeping the orphanage from falling apart!"
"That's why I asked about bits!" He sighed "How much would it cost to repair the orphanage and make it better? Better floors, better walls, a better roof, better beds, better everything!"
Sun simply replied "It would cost over two-million bits."
Patch smiled and walked out to his wagon motioning for her to follow. When they got to the wagon he opened a chest and pulled out a large sack with almost three-million bits inside. He gave it to her. "Her use this for the foals, and I wont take no for an answer."
She looked inside the sack and her eyes filled with tears. "But this is so much. Why are you doing this?"
Patch smiled and responded by saying "Foals deserve to have a family, and maybe just maybe if the orphanage looks better more ponies will come here to adopt them."
He hitched himself to his wagon and started to walk away. "Wait!" He stopped and turned around, Miss Sun ran up to him and cried into his fur while hugging him. "Thank *sniffle* you! You might have just *sniffle* saved the orphanage. How can I repay you?"
He smiled "You don't have to I did it out of generosity and kindness." And with that he walked off to the town square, went in his wagon, and slept.

eleven tickets to the GGG! and patchworks secret revealed
~Golden Oaks Library The Next Day~
As Twilight was reading, Spike was placing books that she had finished reading back on the shelves. When all of a sudden a familiar fire began to form in the pit of his stomach. What happened next was unexpected, eleven golden tickets came out of the green flame he belched up. After another belch a scroll appeared but it was not from Celestia, it was from Luna.
Spike ran up the stairs shouting "Twilight! You got a letter and eleven tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala from Luna!"
Twilight blinked. "What Luna never sends letters by dragon fire." She opened the scroll and read it aloud.
Dear Twilight Sparkle. You are invited to the Grand Galloping Gala and MUST come. You must also bring the following ponies to the Gala. Spike, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Applebloom, Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo, and Ponyville's newest arrival Patchwork. I hope you and your friends enjoy your time at the Gala Sincerely, The goddess of the moon, Princess Luna.
Twilight sighed, marked the spot she was at in her book, closed it, and went off to deliver the tickets. After a few hours the mane six, spike, and the CMC started looking for patchwork and they found him at the least expected place, the edge of the Everfree forest. Little did they know that they were being watched by the ponies, dragons, and griffon from yesterday. There were some new additions to the group of creatures, a minotaur wearing a black cloak and a knuckle duster (brass knuckles) that had three claws made of bronze coming out of it, and some diamond dogs who held spears, swords, and clubs.
Sweetie saw him and smiled. "Mister Patchwork!" She ran over and tackled him.
Patchwork not expecting to be tackled, freaked out "HUH!? WHAT!? WHO!? WHY!?"
Sweetie got off of Patchwork, gave him his ticket, and smiled. "Do you know what this is?"
He looked at it for a second before responding. "That Sweetie Bell, if I am not mistaken, is a ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala."
She smiled and nodded. "That's right and its your ticket Luna sent Spike, Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Applejack, Scootaloo, Applebloom, me, and you tickets." There were no words to which he could use to respond to this.
"Um... OK?" except that one. She quickly levitated the ticket over to him. Patchwork looked at the fillies, the mares, and the dragon. "I guess ill see you all there." They all nodded and with that they took off. Except Rarity who quietly snuck back and watched what he was doing. Then the group who had been watching them came out of the bushes.
The only thing she could understand being said was by the minotaur. "Why do you get to go in without trouble while we all have to sneak in?"
She heard Patch laugh and then say "Somepony has to keep a cool head, Gold fist."
"Fine! We will await you near the castle on the night of the gala!" And with that they all left except for Patchwork
"You can come out now Rarity. Don't try and fool me into thinking your not there. Also spying is not very ladylike."
Rarity emerged from her hiding place. "Who were they, and what did they mean they have to sneak in?"
"Those were my subjects. I have a title and they serve under it. I am not just a regular unicorn Rarity, I am Patchwork the King of Thieves."
"YOUR A THIEF!?"
He nodded. "Yes but I am a good thief."
"Thieves are bad no matter what!"
"That is were you are wrong Rarity." He pulled a few newspapers out of his saddlebags. After he levitated them over to her he said. "Read the headlines."
She did just that. Pony pays for repairs of Manehatten orphanage and general hospitals, Pony pays for repairs of hospitals and orphanages in Stalliongrad, Pony pays for repairs to Appleoosa hospital and orphanage, Pony pays for repairs to Canterlot orphanages and hospital's before Celestia and Luna do. The last one got her attention the most. Patchwork a new arrival in town pays Ponyville orphanage three million bits telling the orphanage director Miss White Sun "Use this to fix up the orphanage and get better beds and food for the foals." She claims he did this after giving each foal a free toy doll that looked exactly like them.
Rarity was shocked. Against all logic, a thief had been responsible for the repairs of all of those orphanages and hospitals over the years. "Why? Why are you helping ponies your a thief you are supposed to be bad. So why?"
He frowned. "Because I know the pain of those ponies. I was an orphan as well, when I became the leader I had my group steal all those valuable things so that we could sell them, and make enough bits to help equestria when Celestia would not."
"Are you saying you would do a better job than princess Celestia?"
He blinked, then he mumbled. "..."
"What was that?"
He sighed. "I said 'I would be better at fixing hospitals and orphanages than her!'"
"Well I cant argue with you there."
Patchwork looked at her nervously. "Hey um Rarity I have a question."
"What is it darling?"
He gulped. "Would you be my date to the gala?"
Rarity was shocked he had the gall to ask her that right after telling her that he was the king of thieves. Even so she said. "I would love for you to accompany me to the gala."
He smiled at that. "Yes! What time and where would you like me to pick you up? Also when is the gala?"
"The girls will be meeting at the train station at 8:00. So you an pick me up at 7:45 at the boutique. The gala is tomorrow night. Um... do you have a suit for the gala?"
He nodded. "Yes, would you like to see it?"
"Well of course I do." When she said those word his horn was suddenly aglow. Before her eyes rarity saw his outfit for the gala materialize. It was a dark blue coat that covered everything but his muzzle and eyes. Around his was a golden amulet the had japaneighs symbol on it. With another flash of his horn ten more amulets exactly like that one appeared. He levitated them over to Rarity.
"Have your friends the crusaders and spike wear one of these on the night of the gala I wont say why now. You will see why on the night of the gala. Ok?"
"Very well."
"Then Rarity for now I bid you adieu." His horn lit up once more and with that he vanished.

Nightmare of a flashback and the forty theives.
(You bronies have been complaining about my story and the way of how Patchwork is so generic this chapter is his life story.)
~Patchworks wagon. Midnight, Night before the gala~
As Patchwork lay his head down on his pillow, he thought of rarity and how he had told her he was the king of thieves, an that he then asked her to be his date to the gala. Which to his surprise she said yes. He just hopped that the thirty-nine thieves that he lead never changed back to the way they were before he became their king. He for the majority had changed the thieves with his book of laws, or as the thieves knew it The Code. He used his magic to take a copy of it from the shelf he had above his workbench. The Code was comprised of five tenants.
The thieves code of honor.
Give half of the value of what you steal to the less fortunate.
When Somepony does a favor for you, you must return the favor.
Never steal from places of civil service such as hospitals, orphanages, or schools.
Never steal from the poor.
5. Never harm the innocent.
As he lay there trying to rest he thought back to how he joined the thieves and eventually became their leader.
FLASHBACK
A young colt no older than five, who had just gotten his cutie, mark watched in tears as red, orange, and yellow danced around in front of him. He watched in tears as his home and family burned to death and nopony did anything to help them. After a while of screaming for help, he ran into the flames that seemed to be alive and get to his family. As he ran to the room where his parents slept a beam fell down and blocked his way into it. He summoned all the might a five year old colt could muster and was able to push the beam out of the way, but by the time he had it was to late. He saw his mother and father laying on the floor. He ran over to them and started to shake their corpses first was his father who had always been a deep sleeper so he decided he would shout in his ear to help wake his 'sleeping' father up "DAD! WAKE UP! THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE!" When he didn't move patchwork ran over to his mother. "Mom! Dad wont wake up we need to get out the house is on fire!" His mother did not wake up either. Being young he thought they were just sleeping and he couldn't wake them up. So he bit his fathers corpse and dragged it outside. Then he ran back in and grabbed his mother put her on his back and carried her outside. Afterhours of trying to wake them up medics, fire ponies, and royal guards arrived. the medics and fire ponies refused to tell Patchwork why his parents would not wake up.
The royal guards took Patchwork to the 'Happy Camper Orphanage'. He remained there for three years before he ran away, in those three years the director of the orphanage had beaten the foals, told them they were there because nopony wanted them and they would never be loved, and even raped a few fillies. After he ran away he had to resort to crime to live. He stole food, bits, and anything else he could get his hooves on. The streets of Manehatten were not a nice place, he lived in a box, and even when he stole could not afford to buy anything but food. Then one day he saw a small pure diamond idol of Celestia in a mansion window, he knew that if he sold that he would be able to buy a train ticket away from Manehatten and to canterlot where he could make a better life for himself.
So that night when no guards or civilians were watching he broke the window, grabbed the idol, and ran. The next thing he knew he was surrounded by creatures of all shapes and sizes. They grabbed him and before he knew it he was a member of the forty thieves, it turned out that idol was to be shipped to a museum in canterlot and he stole it before the thieves could, they were surprised that he was able to steal it before they were because they had planned the heist out, while he just broke the window and took it. As time went on Patchwork rose through the ranks and eventually became what he was now the king of thieves. He then wrote the code so that he and the other thirty-nine thieves would steal to help the poor, just like Robin Hoof did in the stories he read when he was small, he had turned most of a group of thieves into a force for good, who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
END FLASHBACK
After he remembered how he had come so far. He smiled, and he knew tomorrow night would be the thieves greatest heist to date.

There's a party here in Canterlot.
~Castle Entrance. 8:30 P.M~
Patchwork watched as the others went into the gala wearing the medallions that he gave Rarity, Twilight was talking to Celestia, Rainbow was talking to the wonder bolts, Fluttershy was playing with the animals in the gardens, Applejack was selling apple family food, Rarity was mingling with the nobles, Pinkie was being Pinkie, the others told him to just leave it at that when she did something... strange, the CMC were walking around looking at the sights, and Spike... spike was trying to eat the jewels in the royal treasury. After presenting his ticket and meeting Celestia, he waited until the party was in full swing, then he walked out onto a balcony removed his medallion and angled it so light would shine onto the thieves, signaling that the time had come to crash the party.
~Point of view of the rest of the thieves~
The second in command of the thieves, Gold Fist, the minotaur, saw the light being reflected off Patchworks medallion and told the others to ready themselves. He walked over to a small siege tower that the unicorns in the group had made invisible to all but the thieves, and cut the rope that had been holding it back from smashing a hole in the castles ballroom wall. "TONIGHT WE ROB THE CASTLE!" CRASH!
~Back in the ballroom~
The elements, CMC, Spike, and the princesses watched the wall explode and tons of creatures charge in. Three drakes grabbed the jewelry and bits of six noble ponies and jumped on each others shoulders, one drake was red with orange spines and wings, the second was a dark purple and skinny with blond hair and light green wings, the third and final one was big and brown with blue horns and red wings. when the guards swung at them, the drakes put the jewelry and bits down and drew swords, they then cut the guards weapons in half and knocked them out. Spike saw this and recognized the dragons as the ones who almost made him break a phoenix egg during the great dragon migration. He charged at Garble (red dragon), Fume (purple dragon), and Clump (brown dragon). Garble looked at him, turned to Fume and Clump then said "Take him out! We cant rob him he's wearing one of the kings medals." the other two nodded and ran over to spike, picked him and tied him up with a curtain rope then they dropped him and he couldn't move.
A black Pegasus with a green mane, who's cutie mark was a winged bag of bits, flew over to Soarin, Spitfire and the other Wonder Bolts and took all the jewelry they had as well as all their bits. Dash saw this and flew after the Pegasus only to be blocked by a griffin who had blood red tipped feathers, he grabbed her and tied her wings up with a rope and flew her down to the ground, then he patted her on the head.
An old earth pony with a sword in his mouth, was running at Blueblood, who like a coward just dropped all his valuables and ran away, a zebra stole the bits and jewelry off of Fancy Pants, Fleur De Lis, Jet Set, and Upper Crust, when the guards went after him he simply hit one of the pillars in the room and it fell over blocking the path of the guards.
A changeling in disguise snuck up behind cadence and stole her jewelry, when she turned around to see who had just stolen from her, the changeling changed forms into shining armor which confused cadence because he was fighting with a minotaur at the time when she pieced it together it was to late, the changeling had run off.
Shining Armor was stunned by what the minotaur had just done. He had just cut through his armor like a hot knife through butter, and he hadn't even touched the armor he just made cutting motions with his arm and Armor's armor fell to pieces. The other guard saw this and were stunned as well, one guard, the head of the lunar guard Crescent Moon shouted. "THEY FIGHT LIKE DEMONS!!!!!"
Armor looked at her. "No, worse these are the forty thieves!!!"
Twilight who was under a table along with the other elements, the CMC and Spike looked around. "Forty? I only count thirty-nine." Rarity was torn should she keep the promise she made to Patchwork or tell her friends the truth, she opted for the truth and tapped Twilights shoulder then pointed to Patchwork who was still on the floor and had not hidden under a table.
Rarity sighed. "Twilight, forty Patchwork makes forty, he is their leader, he is the king of thieves."
All of her friends heard this and shouted "WHAT!?"
Patch work heard that and ran at Celestia and Luna catching them off guard and taking their crowns. "So much for secret identities." He turned to the other thieves. "WE HAVE WHAT WE WANT NOW WE GO!!!" They all nodded and ran out the hole in the wall they had created earlier. After the others had gotten out he ran for the exit only to be blocked by Celestia and Luna.
Guards surrounded him and arrested him. Celestia smirked. "Now you see what we do to thieves right sister?"

Celestia looked confused, then she saw something she had hoped to never see again, around patchworks neck was a necklace made of gold with a yellow stone shaped like a coin in the center, what she beheld was one who controlled something dangerous that only the elements of harmony could subdue, one of the things that was part of the opposite of the harmony she strived for, she saw the holder of the chaotic element of greed .

Cell for 1. The Interrogation.
Canterlot Dungeons 5:36 A.M.
Drip. Drip. Drip. Patchwork awoke to the feeling of water on his head. he rose his head up and looked around to see where he was, in a cell in the Canterlot Dungeons. After he realized where he was he sat down and waited, and waited, and waited. Then he heard hoof steps on the cobble floors of the dungeon he knew Somepony was coming, not one in fact but many he counted ten different sets of hoof steps, the ponies he saw surprised him there in front of him were the bearers of the Elements of Harmony each wearing their respective element, Shining Armor, Cadence, Luna, and Celestia. All of them wore an angry scowl but Rarity, her face showed signs of crying and she wore a frown.
Patchwork looked at Celestia and growled. "What do you want!?"
Shining Armor stepped forward. "You will treat the princess with respect scum!"
"I will treat her with respect when she deserves it! And she never will." Those words shocked all of the ponies there except for Rarity who knew why he did not respect her. "I steal to help poor ponies while she" he said pointing his hoof at Celestia. "Does nothing for poor ponies! NOTHING!!!" After he caught his breath he continued. "she does not deserve to be a princess! Luna, Cadence, and Twilight do but not her! In all honesty the non existent child of King Sombra and Nightmare Moon " At this point the elements, except Rarity, wanted to blast him, Luna was shocked and confused as to why she deserved to be a princess more than her sister and wanted to know why he thought the foal of such evil being would make a better ruler than her sister, Cadence was trying to keep from throwing up just because of the pure hatred for Celestia that was radiating from Patchwork, Shining Armor had walked over to the cell and opened it and started beating Patchwork up. All the while Celestia was wondering what she had done to deserve such hatred, she knew she wasn't the perfect ruler but was she worse than Sombra and Nightmare Moon?
A sickening crack was heard and Patchwork fell to the ground only half conscious. What had broken was his muzzle causing him to loose blood rapidly. Cadence grabbed her husband and yelled at him. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HIM!?"
Armor sneered ."If you ask me he deserves to die! He is greedy, rude, and he insulted the princess!"
"Why? Why are you spiteful towards me? You are the thief here not me." Everypony was shocked that the princess was in tears at this point.
"Because you are oblivious to how the ponies of the lower society are raped, beaten, sold as slaves, and are hungry from birth, that they want to die to gain the mercy they don't find on this earth. That is why Celestia!" Everypony was shocked they had expected him to make another comment about her being a worse ruler than Sombra, not for him to talk about a world they thought could not possibly exist. At this point cadence threw up, she could handle the pure malice towards her aunt and the comments about how bad a ruler she was, but not the fact that the words of malice were coming from a dying pony whose head lay in a pool of his own blood. Another sick crack was heard and the ponies saw that patchworks muzzle was fixed, and that his blood was returning to his body. As Everypony stood their shocked, he spoke again. "You caught me and now you know why I hate you Celestia, you know why I ruined the gala, you can put me to death but you wont because your like me and don't like to see others die!" He stopped for a second and then spoke again. "Also another reason you wont is because I'm about to escape."
Shining Armor was angered by his words. "The royal guard will not allow you to leave this dungeon. They have been told to consider you dangerous and kill you if you show signs of hostility! How would you escape anyway? The cell is magic proof so no teleporting out, we can catch any of the thieves you lead if they try and break you out, me, Celestia, and Luna have the only keys to this cell. Besides elements of harmony are here, I'm here, and the princesses are here there is no way you could get out!"
At that Patchwork began to laugh and he pointed to his gold bracelet designed to look like a winged snake with rubies for eyes. Then he spoke. "Serpente Alato I call upon your power in my hour of need. AWAK-" Celestia's eyes grew wide when she heard him call out that name and saw the bracelet her immediate reaction was to silence him with magic and so she did. She knew that name, it was the name of a creature known as a familiar, each pony has a familiar but most don't know it. if she saw any familiar she would usually just disregard it as a pony who had found their familiar, but the name of this one was familiar she had imprisoned him in a bracelet and hid it in the old castle because he was as powerful as the greed and anger of the one who summoned him, and seeing how angry patchwork was, he would be very strong.
Celestia walked over and unlocked the cell which shocked Everypony. "If I let you go will you stop stealing?"
Patchwork shook his head. "Only if you promise to help the poor and if you do. I will even tell you where the other thieves are."
Luna looked at him suspiciously "Why would you give up your comrades?"
"Before I took control they where pure evil and would kill for a single bit."
"I promise to help the poor I had no idea that some ponies suffered so, that ponies could be so ruthless. As for your sentence..." She looked at Rarity and smiled. "You are to go to Ponyville and start a new life for yourself, all you have done as a thief will be forgotten, do I make myself clear?"
For the first time in his life since his family died he smiled. His smile was real and not the façade he usually put on. "Crystal clear princess. your not as bad as I thought." with that he was free the first thing that happened was done not by Pinkie, not by Patchwork, but by Rarity who ran over, hugged and kissed him on the lips. Causing him to faint. Celestia laughed at this as did Luna and Cadence. Then their horns began to glow and the memories of all the ponies about patchwork being the king of thieves were erased.
