Equestria Girls: Dimensional Romance

     Spike sighed as he and Twilight stepped back into the Golden Oaks Library. "Yeesh, finally back," he said in relief, "Right, Twilight?" The dragon turned to his boss, but his tail drooped as he noticed the mare's downcast face. He put one claw on Twilight's shoulder. "Sorry, Twilight," he whispered.

     The alicorn sighed, "It's not your fault, Spike."

     Spike set his jaw as he led her back into their home. "Oh, well. I can make you something to cheer you up. Sunflower stew?"

     Twilight smiled thankfully as she sat down on her couch. "Thanks. I could use it."

     After finishing her meal, Twilight fluttered up to her bed and turned to Spike. "Spike?" she said, "Can you hand me my copy of Industrial Inducing Spells?"

     "Sure," the dragon replied, picking out the book from the shelf and holding it out. Twilight smiled a thanks as she took the book with her magic and set it beside her bed. No sooner had Twilight turned the first page when Spike asked,

"Why do you need it?"

     Twilight's eyes made a cartoonish BOINK noise as they widened in surprise. "Erm..." she stuttered, "I-I-I...just wanted to check a few spells! Yeah! To see if they were safe!" The mare giggled nervously.

     Spike shrugged, but was still a bit suspicious as he stepped out the door a second time to go for a walk.

     Twilight listened for the sound of the closing door, then smiled mischeiviously as she looked for the spell she wanted.
