Lunar Suspicions

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Princess Luna opened one eye; once again, it was the night. Time for her to do her job of guarding it.

The deep blue alicorn stretched her legs before flying out of Canterlot Castle. She smiled; her moon definitely brought something beautiful. Alas, the ponies of Equestria had to rest in it, contrast to Luna's sister's daylight. But ever since her Nightmare Moon persona had been destroyed, the lunar princess came to be more optimistic about this fact.

But as Luna took to the skies, she noticed something rather odd: the moon was in the exact same position it had been just a few days ago, and it didn't seem to be moving.      This caught the Princess' attention. Celestia put down her writing quill and listened intently to her sister. "How do you suppose this happened?"

"I don't know for sure, but I managed to find out this:" With that, Luna used her magic to reveal an image to her sister. It was the moon, only it seemed to be a shade of magenta mixed with beige. "It appears that two magic auras are surrounding it. Two ponies must have cast a spell on the moon to make it stay in that spot!"

At this, Celestia's eyes widened. "Can you excuse me?" With that, the Princess of Equestria left the castle.

Rather annoyed, Celestia stepped into the Magic Mirror room in the Crystal Castle. Facing the mirror, the Princess placed her hoof on the surface. With a SHEEN, her white hoof passed through the mirror. With a startled gasp, Celestia realized just how accurate her suspicions had been. The Princess' lips curled into an angered snarl; somepony's head was gonna roll for this...
