Sarcony stood at the edge of the forest overlooking the nearby town from his perch and took a beep breath. He held it for longer than he should before finally releasing it. It was clear that he was uncomfortable with what he was looking at and that just  so happened to be a busy town. Letting out a sigh he shifted again on his perch. "Come on you can't let a simple town scare you, you've been through tougher situations than this just breath it will be fine" Sarcony though frantically, trying to calm himself down. A few minuets passed and Sarcony was still on his perch looking absolutely distraught. "ARGHHHHHH" Sarcony groaned shaking his head wildly, "why can't I do this, why is this so difficult. ARGHHH this is going to drive me nuts". Sarcony tried to calm himself down with some deep breaths which seemed to help a bit. "OK its OK" he said aloud trying to recollect his thoughts. He moved further up the branch and pocked his head out from his leafy cover. Checking left and right he saw that there where only a few ponies around, it would be easy to sneak around them to get into town. Sarcony moved further out of his cover and took another look around just to be sure. "OK here we go" he said nervously "Time to meet some ponies for the fir-" there was a sudden snapping sound as Sarcony looked over his shoulder to find that the branch he was standing on had snapped "oh boy". Usually falling from a tree wasn't a big deal to Sarcony however he was in a 30 feet oak tree and it was quite the fall. The wind rushed past Sarcony's ears as he fell breaking small branches on the way down. After about 2 minuets of falling through branches and several birds nests Sarcony finally came to a crashing stop at the base of the tree. Of course after a painful but still spectacular fall Sarcony had attracted quite a few ponies who galloped over to see if he was OK. Sarcony moaned before rising up from a pile of broken branches and leaves, he gave his body a good shake to get off any leaves clinging to his feathers and checked his wings for any branches that could of got wedged in from the fall. After a close inspection of his wings he turned his attention to the group of ponies looking at him with concerned eyes. That quickly changed when Sarcony fully stood up and there expression quickly turned to fear when they was that he was a griffin and quickly turned away and went back to what they where doing. Sarcony tilted his head to the side and wondered what that was all about. When he could feel his legs again Sarcony made his way to town feeling uneasy but confident non the less. Sarcony had a hard time navigating the town, he had never been good at following directions and soon found himself lost in a market street. The street was alive with shops and ponies looking in windows and buying things to eat. Sarcony made his way down the far side of the market in order to somewhat hide himself. He concentrated on the crowd making sure that he was passing by without attracting attention. A sharp pain then shot through his head as he headbutted a pile of boxes. Sarcony looked up to see the tower of boxes wobbling almost toppling over he held his breath and didn't move at all. The boxes soon settled and Sarcony could breath again. Turning to see if anypony had seen that but to his relief nopony had. "What are you doing back here" came a sudden growling voice. Sarcony froze and slowly turned his head to look at the source of the voice. A rather angry pony stood behind him, from his armor it was obvious that he was a soldier but something was off about him. Sarcony looked down an the pony and thought that the soldier was rather small. Something clicked in his mind, now that he though about it everypony he had met were rather small, they where at lest 2-3 head shorter than him. "Are you listening", Sarcony broke out his trance an look down at the soldier who looked very annoyed. He looked at the soldier and saw that his back legs where shaking. "Your new to this guard thing aren't you" Sarcony said calmly, the guard froze and his once angry face dropped, "IS IT THAT OBVIOUS" the guard cried before a few colorful words left his mouth, Sarcony sharply looked around to see all the ponies where now looking at them. "Can i ask you two questions?" Sarcony said not wanting to stay much longer. The guard collected himself and replied "yes of course" oblivious to the fact he just had a mental break down a few seconds ago. "One where is the bus stop, I would like to check the times" Sarcony said calmly The guard looked shocked at the question but produced a map marked the bus stop, and after a brief inspection of the map Sarcony nodded and asked the second question. "I mean no offence when i say this but why is eveyponie so" Sarcony paused "small?" //-------------------------------------------------------// Maverick charging in. //-------------------------------------------------------// Maverick charging in. A few minuets had passed since Sarcony had asked the question. The both of them stood in silence wondering who was going to make the first move. Eventually the guard made the move. "Its not that everyponie is small, its because your really" the guard tried looking for words that wouldn't offend the huge Griffin "its that your just big, very big might I add" the guard then braced himself for the worst but opened his eyes after the brief pause and looked up at the Griffin. Sarconys face was lost in thought as it tried to work out something. The guard waved a hoof in an attempt to get his attention. There was a sudden rumbling sound and the ground began to shake quite violently. Sarcony broke out of his train of thought and his face turned slightly pale. He quite suddenly put his head down to the ground and remains silent, his eyes then widened and he turned to the forest. "tell everyponie to move to the walls" Sarcony said quietly "wha-" said the guard briefly "EVEYPONIE STICK TO THE WALL DON'T SAY IN THE OPEN" Sarcony shouted in a deafening voice. The ponies began to panic but soon followed the sudden command and stood by the walls and retreated to there homes. Sarcony then did something very strange, his claws left the ground and began to stand up on his hide legs. The guard looked shocked and his jaw hit the ground, very few ponies could stand on there hide legs for only a few seconds but Sarcony stood and began to walk as well. He looked very intimidating and was now twice the height he was standing normally. He made his way to the center of the road and braced, tucking his arms in and staring straight ahead. The shaking got worse and soon a thundering noise could be heard. Sarcony tensed as the sound got louder. Then a huge figure emerged from around a corner. The monster was huge, it was a deep orange and brown color with thick plating covering its back and arms and a huge rock like crown covered the top of its head. A substance that looked like thick mud sprayed from its back as it made the sharp turn. "DAME IT MAVERICK" Sarcony shouted as the monster charged towards him "LEARN SOME SELF CONTROL" The monster made a deep but horrendously loud wail like noise but keep charging towards Sarcony. It showed no intention to stop and thundered its way past the ponies who had there backs against the wall. The two finally met and with a thud Sarcony slammed his claws into the monsters head and expanded his wings. The monster continued charging as Sarcony was pushed along the ground causing deep skid marks in the dirt. But after a few moments it seemed that the monster was beginning to slow. "ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Sarcony roared before stopping the monster in its tracks. He was holding the monster back, his feet slid every now as both him and the beast where pushing each other relentlessly. Sarcony then changed his stance and began to tilt the head of the monster to the right. The monster let out another loud wail and began to push harder. Sarcony strained his feet began to ring with pain as they tired to keep the monster a bay while trying to maintain grip. Finally Sarcony gave a loud war cry and threw the head of the beast sharply to the right. The monster body soon flowed as the monster crashed on its side spraying a bit of the mysterious substance as it made a heavy thud. Sarcony sighed. "what did i tell you Maverick, you walk through town and tell me if you hungry not charge at me" Sarcony said surprisingly calmly. The monster gave a deep wince before righting itself and looked longingly at Sarcony and opened its mouth. Sarcony sighed and rummaged through his bag and produced a large slap of meat and threw it on the ground. The monster began to tuck in to its meal happy growling as it did so. The town was awestruck at the scene. Not only had a Griffin stood on two legs for more than a few seconds but had also stopped a huge monsters charge and thrown it on its side using nothing but brute strength and was then talking and feeding it. It was madness chaotic but Sarcony acted as if nothing was wrong, as if it was another normal day. The guard was the first to speak out of all the stunned ponies in town. "WHAT IS CELESTIAS NAME IS THAT THING" he shouted pointing a hoof at the huge figure. Sarcony turned to look at the guard and smiled "oh right how rude of me" he said rubbing the back of his neck with his claws, "This is Maverick" Sarcony said gesturing at the monster "A friend of mine who happens to be a Barroth"
